Blatherings: The Hut Revolutionized and Cat Hierarchy

Well, an announcement must be made. The Hut is having a revolution. Yes, the professor has finally figured out how to post a video directly on a page! Of course, this is a new feature. Otherwise, the professor would have done it a while back. I assure you: not posting a video directly on a page before had absolutely nothing to do with a lack of proficiency!

So, The Hut page will always host the Punchy Video of the week.

Now, the new feature.

If you hover over The Hut, a dropdown menu will appear. As of now, there is only one page on that dropdown menu. This will change. Eventually, all of the Punchy Land characters will have profiles here. Check often since characters will be added frequently. I do believe it will take quite a while to finish. But finish I will—eventually.

I don’t recommend viewing the only page there as of now. It is pretty boring since it’s under construction. That being said, I may have achieved the opposite of my goal, and have piqued your interest to look. So look if you must. But don’t blame me.

Now that we got that horrid business out of the way!!!

The Cat Hierarchy!

Most of you are familiar with Bob—or Beast as he is lovingly termed. Bob is the leader of the Cat Hierarchy. And can’t you tell! (Look how that left eye is squinted! Such evilness! Also notice the tail. A bobcat, definitely!)

Next is Neffy. She is responsible for just about every critter that shows up dead in the professor’s garage. Interestingly, her favorite prey is that little creature known as the chipmunk. Neffy has a lot of nicknames that are probably better left unsaid.

Last, is Charlemagne. And, yes, he acts like a king. (Just look at that royal expression!) Man-Cat, as he is lovingly termed, only permits the petting of the head and shoulders. Anything else (i.e. the back, or tail) isn’t tolerated. Hisses and slashes reward the transgressor.

Hahaha, I love the cat heirarchy, and yes, that is one evil squinty eye! I am super excited about videos on pages (I have no idea how to do that either…) and character profiles! Hurray! It’s a great day for Punchy lands and Punchy fans!

Yes, it is! The professor finally got it all straight! I put up a Mr. Magi profile just for you! And that squinty eye…what can a professor do?

Bob definitely has alpha written all over him. He looks like he could knife (not claw, knife) you somehow in a dark alley.

    • 4 Professor VJ Duke July 10, 2013 at 18:35

Ooo, I bet he could knife..somehow. How creepy!

You were so right – I was unable to resist looking and now must know – …little punchy man that…what??

Neffy and Charlemagne are beautiful, but poor Bob will always hold a special place in my heart… :D

I’m not really sure yet. I just wrote that their as a test. It shall be finished soon! Did you notice the tags?

:D I know! Bob is very sweet. Why do you think he’s poor?

      • 9 FictionFan July 10, 2013 at 14:02

 HahaHA!! No! I was distracted by choc au pain and coffee achieving peak readiness! Tommy & Tuppence are thrilled! Of course, Tuppence thinks it’s no more than her due, but Tommy is more gracious…

Poor Bob – you call him Beast, electrocute him and constantly point out that he’s a little challenged in the tail department…poor Bob!!!

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke July 10, 2013 at 14:23

Hahah. Never heard of a choc au pain before. Which cat is on your profile picture?

        Bob electrocuted himself!

      • 11 FictionFan July 10, 2013 at 14:34

(Flaky pastry filled with melted chocolate – yum!)

That’s Tuppence, trying to pretend she’s sweet. There’s a pic of both of them as kittens on my review of While the Light Lasts.

        Poor Bob!!!

You do know you can copy and paste the URL for a video directly on your edit space in the spot where you want it to appear…? That’s for YouTube or other video site videos. Uploading them from a personal file, they are always bigger than WordPress allows. I hope I’m not just telling you what you already know.

No, thank you for the info. Sometimes it takes a while for this professor to figure everything out!

Thanks for the visit to my blog. I love cats and yours look especially regal. I am going to follow since I think the “punchy” view might be interesting.

Thank you! I think you may just find the Punchy view ‘interesting’!
