The Pink Potion Strikes Again

The professor uses Grammarly’s plagiarism checker because I tend to be very professorish and make many, many mistakes.

Anyway, the video:

I’m certainly glad you stopped by my blog otherwise I might not have found you and that would prohibit me from having some good laughs. I look forward to more!!

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke October 28, 2013 at 12:05

Very great to meet you! It’s quite Punchyish around here, isn’t it?

  2. 3 The Dancing Rider October 26, 2013 at 20:41

I laughed so hard. Oh, if DS and Henry find out!

Early on though, I got quite a chuckle out of Schwarz’s confounding the Scientist by saying “But I definitely want to do” ‘s. Evil grin.

Most of all I like the placebo effect of the “green potion”. People are so gullible aren’t they?!

As for Scientist. I have a feeling the potion may not form into hard candy …

    • 4 Professor VJ Duke October 28, 2013 at 12:04

:D Great! (They’ll be horridly mad!)

Haha, Schwarz is always confounding somebody.

They are! The professor wouldn’t drink anything of Scientist again! (Hopefully, that is.)

I know, that would be hard. But if there’s a way, he’ll find it.

      (Love the new gravatar, btw.)

  3. 5 sonya solomonovich October 25, 2013 at 20:48

Who will save these poor dolts?

    • 6 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 20:51

Haha, when it dawns on DS and Fats what happened, we’ll have to hide!

      • 7 sonya solomonovich October 25, 2013 at 21:19

        lol indeed!

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke October 26, 2013 at 00:30

        Ha, yes!

  4. 9 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister October 25, 2013 at 19:18

Up to no good I see. Well done! I’d drink the pink, as I’ve said before, the green I’d have to pass on, unless it was made with avacado. :D

    • 10 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 20:46

Always no good! The professor could be tempted that way too. Avacados are amazing. Guacamole!

      • 11 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister October 25, 2013 at 21:10

        Guacamole..cha cha cha!

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke October 26, 2013 at 00:24

  5. 13 Susan P October 25, 2013 at 18:48

Oh no. NOT the pink potion…

I’m laughing right along with DS.

    laughing gurgling sound.

    Poor Schwarz.

    Flubber folds… LOL

Oh. Dear. I will stay away from the hard candy next Wednesday.

    • 14 Susan P October 25, 2013 at 18:57

I can’t believe that DS fell for that again. He prides himself so much on being canny.

      • 15 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 20:41

Well, when Salami figures out what happened, what do you suppose he’ll do?

    • 16 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 20:41

 Mic couldn’t help doing another one…

      An evil laugh?

      Schwarz deserves it, for sure!

Haha, that was mean of Salami, I think.

      Especially, if it’s pink.

      • 17 Susan P October 25, 2013 at 21:15

Zooks! Of course it was an evil laugh. They are the fun kind.

      • 18 Professor VJ Duke October 26, 2013 at 00:30

        They most definitely are!

      • 19 Susan P October 25, 2013 at 21:17

I think Salami will march right back to the scientist’s laboratory with malice aforethought.

      • 20 Professor VJ Duke October 26, 2013 at 00:30

I bet you’re right. Wonder what he’ll find when he gets there, though…

      • 21 Susan P October 26, 2013 at 15:34

Depends on whether or not he takes his brain with him.

      • 22 Professor VJ Duke October 28, 2013 at 12:03

 He usually leaves it behind, I fear.

      • 23 Susan P October 28, 2013 at 12:56

        So I surmised.

      • 24 Professor VJ Duke October 28, 2013 at 13:24

        :D

  6. 25 Anja October 25, 2013 at 17:34

Is this a Halloween based trick on PL with candy? :) Just saying that would be perfect timing. I like the scientist ;)

    • 26 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 20:37

No, the PL has a Halloween special coming up next week. It’ll scare your boots off. :)

I do too! There’s something about him that’s nice, but let’s not for a moment suspect he’s romantic.

      • 27 Anja October 25, 2013 at 21:21

I scare terribly easy so won’t be wearing boots next week.

Ha I never said he was romantic…,but the professor is

      • 28 Professor VJ Duke October 26, 2013 at 00:31

        Hahaha!It will be very Punchyish.

        What makes you think so?

      • 29 Anja October 26, 2013 at 01:38

Makes me think he isn’t romantic or that the Professor is?

      • 30 Professor VJ Duke October 28, 2013 at 11:58

No, what makes you think the professor is?

      • 31 Anja October 28, 2013 at 13:09

Just a sense I get. Creative souls tend to lean towards romanticism even if they are cynical. :)

      • 32 Professor VJ Duke October 28, 2013 at 13:24

        Well, the professor is cynical.

      • 33 Anja October 28, 2013 at 17:31

And romantic :) We will never let this rest. Lol

      • 34 Professor VJ Duke October 28, 2013 at 19:08

        Dadblameit! Dadblameit! Dadblameit!

      • 35 Anja October 28, 2013 at 19:48

Please tell me your stomping your feet as well! Lol

      • 36 Professor VJ Duke October 29, 2013 at 01:40

Of course not. The professor is doing a jig instead.

      • 37 Anja October 29, 2013 at 02:04

That I would like to see

      • 38 Professor VJ Duke October 29, 2013 at 13:06

It might be too unromantic for you.

      • 39 Anja October 29, 2013 at 13:08

        Hahahaha excuses

      • 40 Professor VJ Duke October 29, 2013 at 13:27

        Always.

      • 41 Anja October 29, 2013 at 17:31

And I am on to them :)

      • 42 Professor VJ Duke October 29, 2013 at 23:27

But that doesn’t mean the professor won’t use them. :D

      • 43 Anja October 30, 2013 at 00:33

You may try but I will thwart your attempts. :D

      • 44 Professor VJ Duke October 30, 2013 at 13:05

How can you thwart the attempts of the word-professor?

      • 45 Anja October 30, 2013 at 13:06

        Magic?

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke October 30, 2013 at 13:11

        It wouldn’t work.

      • 47 Anja October 30, 2013 at 13:12

        You don’t know that.

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke October 30, 2013 at 13:14

        But I’m sure.

      • 49 Anja October 30, 2013 at 13:14

Have you fought off magic before?

      • 50 Professor VJ Duke October 30, 2013 at 15:03

        Yes and no.

      • 51 Anja October 30, 2013 at 15:05

        Maybe kinda sorta not

      • 52 Professor VJ Duke October 30, 2013 at 15:16

        Hmm…

      • 53 Anja October 30, 2013 at 16:03

        Mhmm

      • 54 Professor VJ Duke October 30, 2013 at 18:53

  7. 55 Jackie October 25, 2013 at 17:15

    Intriguing!

    • 56 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 20:36

      And Punchalicious!

      • 57 Jackie October 25, 2013 at 20:43

Absolutely! Intrigue is always punchalicious! 8-)

      • 58 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 20:49

 Great word you created, ma’am!

      • 59 Jackie October 25, 2013 at 21:10

Thank you kindly, Professor! Have a great weekend. 8-)

      • 60 Professor VJ Duke October 26, 2013 at 00:25

        You too!

  8. 61 technophile9 October 25, 2013 at 16:36

This was very… satisfying. Marlin was awesome! As for the scientist, his plan is kind of like the book ‘Witches’ by Roald Dahl (they put a potion into chocolate bars that turned children into rats ). I quite like him, although I can’t quite pinpoint why. Not his masterplan, but I like him.

    • 62 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 17:07

So happy you like Marlin. New guy here. What do you suppose he looks like?

Yes, I’d say his plan isn’t original or brilliant. It’s doubtful if he’ll achieve his goals!

The professor agrees! Scientist is a bit likable, for sure.

      • 63 technophile9 October 26, 2013 at 21:27

Not sure, but Marlin’s name reminds me slightly of the clownfish Marlin, from Finding Nemo. :)

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke October 28, 2013 at 12:05

The professor’s never seen it, but now I’m chuckling at the idea of Marlin being a clownfish!

  9. 65 Painting Pundit October 25, 2013 at 16:34

What kind of fool would trust the Scientist again to drink another potion of another color?? No fools, No story. Fools all around.

    • 66 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 17:06

 I know! Two dummies, huh? The professor definitely wouldn’t drink from him again. But, do you think you’d find the bubbling pink potion just a bit tempting?

      • 67 Painting Pundit October 25, 2013 at 17:09

The pink, possibly but definitely not the green!

      • 68 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 17:13

I know! The professor would have needed much convincing to drink the green. Never drink green anything!

  10. 69 Hazy October 25, 2013 at 15:57

Such a sly mr. scientist! He’d need a lot of hard candy if he wants to take over PL. Would he need a factory for that or can he do make them himself?

I think pink bubbly potion is more drinkably attractive than green bubbly. :)

    • 70 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 17:04

He is! I’m not sure what he was thinking. I mean, it would help his purpose to side with Mortimer Butterfield, but Mortimer would never put his company in such jeopardy!

I do too! Would you still try it?

      • 71 Hazy October 26, 2013 at 12:17

I thought so too. That and probably Mortimer would not want share control of the PL with the scientist!

Yes, I fear my hazy mind still might get tricked into drinking it (again). But probably not the green one! It doesn’t look too enticing.

      • 72 Professor VJ Duke October 28, 2013 at 12:00

Good point. Mortimer isn’t the sharing type, for sure.

Yes, for some reason, pink seems more tasty than green…

      • 73 Hazy October 28, 2013 at 12:20

Yeah. There’s something about pink… makes me think bubble gum or cotton candy!

      • 74 Professor VJ Duke October 28, 2013 at 13:23

        Yes, exactly!

  11. 75 ladycheetah7 October 25, 2013 at 15:08

So Daddy Salami lets the scientist go free. I don’t buy it. He will if not already have something up his sleeve.

    • 76 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 15:18

 He might go visit Scientist–later. Or he could be sweet. Don’t you think DS is sweet?

      • 77 ladycheetah7 October 25, 2013 at 15:20

Sweet as lemon and mustard mixed together.

      • 78 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 15:24

That doesn’t sound too sweet. But, since Lady tends to be a tad vicious, maybe you identify with Salami?

      • 79 ladycheetah7 October 25, 2013 at 15:30

I am a bowl of sunshine.
        B-)

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 16:57

 Your answers are always making the professor laugh!

      • 81 ladycheetah7 October 25, 2013 at 15:31

Identify with DS? Not so much. I am a teddy bear at ♡

      • 82 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 16:57

        Maybe Salami is too!

  12. 83 L. Marie October 25, 2013 at 14:35

Hmmm. Will Scientist succeed in his nefarious plan???? Will wait and see!

    • 84 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 15:16

Well, I’m not sure either. The plan is very silly, I think. Are you rooting for him?

  13. 85 FictionFan October 25, 2013 at 13:49

 I think I like the old sausage’s voice like that – and undoubtedly the best ever example of the Salami Chuckle!! But poor Schwarzy! I thought the Scientist was just having a bit of innocent fun up to that point, but how dare he mess with my chafafah!? Evil, indeed…

Thank you, Professor, (and team) for brightening a rainy Friday! :D

    • 86 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 14:08

I think Scientist is sweet overall. He seems to be innocent. Well…maybe Schwarz will do something about it? You’re much too hard on poor Salami.

Our pleasure, for sure! (It was snowing earlier here.)

      • 87 FictionFan October 25, 2013 at 14:31

Sweet? (Like BigSister?) He’s an evil mastermind – anyone who messes with ‘candy’ is beyond redemption! I think Schwarzy just might – sometimes I think you underestimate my chafafah…

Oh, I suppose if I can change my mind about Mr R, I might – might – reconsider my opinion of the sausage – especially after that wondrous chuckle!

Snowing? Rather meanly, that cheered me up slightly! ;)

      • 88 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 15:16

Okay, now the professor is thinking that BigSister is quite the opposite of sweet. Goodness me.

He wants to get the kids, I suppose. Great place to start. Wait to see–never mind! ;)

It’s a creepy chuckle. A wonder you like it. Gnomeness, I suppose.

I was bragging, actually. Now the dadblame sun’s out.

      • 89 FictionFan October 25, 2013 at 15:49

Well, she hides her sweetness quite well most of the time… ;)

Ooh, but I want to know now! When’s the next episode?

It’s my ambition to master that chuckle if it kills me! Think how admired I’d be by the other gnomes then…

Oh, what a shame! (We only get the sun twice a year – in a good year – so I can’t really remember what it looks like…)

      • 90 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 17:03

        Yep. A coverup job!

Well, I think this coming Thursday is Halloween. Friday…is a bear. What would you like to see?

 The professor can’t master it to save his life. I’d love to here yours, you know… (All the other gnomes already admire you; they can’t write such stellar reviews!)

Don’t like the snow? Goodness! Bright sun here. Thought it’s usually rainy and cloudy.

      • 91 FictionFan October 25, 2013 at 19:07

Two next week? You’re spoiling us…but then we deserve it!

        Olmes! Olmes!! Olmes!!! OLMES!!!!
(Please.) (Pretty please.) (And with Schwartzy in it.) (Well, you did ask…)

I’m afraid mine turns into a giggle halfway through usually – unless I choke, which has also been known to happen! (Aw, you’re much sweeter than BigSister – really you are! You can come to the Gnomes Hallowe’en Party if you like…but you must wear a costume…)

Don’t mind it if it really snows properly, but we quite often don’t get enough to make even a snowgnome…

      • 92 Professor VJ Duke October 25, 2013 at 20:45

Well, just because of Halloween. Of course, though, we could skip the holiday or Friday.

:D I’m so glad you enjoy them this much, really. The professor is flattered. Of course. Just for FEF! ;)

 Do you really try? The professor definitely understands the choke. ( :D I’d come as…the professor!)

 The professor loves snow. Never know how much I’ll get, though. It’s an unsure matter. The professor is sick of the 80 degree weather!

      • 93 FictionFan October 25, 2013 at 22:00

Don’t you dare! Both will be just fine!

The Professor should not be flattered – he should be proud! :D

 Yes, I have been known to try…I feel silly now! (I think I’ll come as Mary, Queen of Scots – after the beheading! )

I couldn’t tolerate 80 degrees for more than a day – ice-lolly stocks would reach critical point in no time!

      • 94 Professor VJ Duke October 26, 2013 at 00:33

Well, maybe. The professor will see. He’s the captain of the ship, you know.

:D Thanks, FEF, that means a lot.

No, that’s super cool! Don’t feel silly at all. Why, if the professor let silliness bother him… Silliness is sort of like Punchyness. If anyone ever looks at you strangely after you laugh, you can blame me. :) (Goodness! Manothunder! I hope it’s not too…bloody.)

It’s enjoyable for a little bit.
