Mr. Morality… I kinda liked him. Though I think he’s got some tricks up his sleeve. I don’t think I should trust him.

I enjoy listening to DS speak, his voice is fun to listen to. Is that weird?

I wonder who brought the larger snake. It can’t have been Olmes… could it?

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:24

Would you rather trust him or DS, though?

Not at all! The professor practices his laugh. Have you?

It could have been. What a dastardly thought.

      • 3 Hazy November 5, 2013 at 15:00

Hmm… tough choice. Who would you rather trust?

DS’s laugh is funny and intimidating at the same time. Do you mean practice my laugh? Hmm… I try to practice an evil laugh. It does not sound believable so far  How does the professor practice his laugh?

I shudder to think what could happen to the one in the room with the snake!

      • 4 Professor VJ Duke November 5, 2013 at 16:33

        Probably…I wouldn’t want to pick!

Oh, I just try to imitate Salami’s laugh from time to time. I’m not too good at it, though.

Me too! Weatherly would take care of the snake.

      • 5 Hazy November 7, 2013 at 15:17

        Me neither!

You will soon get it properly, I think. Practice makes perfect!

Yes, he would. He’s been wanting to try his nun-chucks.

      • 6 Professor VJ Duke November 7, 2013 at 16:44

:D You make the professor feel happy!

 I fear for the snake!

      • 7 Hazy November 10, 2013 at 12:24

I’m happy to make the professor happy! :D

 how long do you think the fight will last between them?

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke November 10, 2013 at 19:34

        :D

Not long! Weatherly will dispatch him quickly.

      • 9 Hazy November 11, 2013 at 14:41

        I think you’re right!

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke November 11, 2013 at 18:27

        Of course!

  2. 11 The Dancing Rider November 1, 2013 at 22:11

Wow. I was distrurbed to see Olmes just let something happen! The second Bandy…..from whence did it come?!

    • 12 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:20

It was cruel, wasn’t it? But I believe he was feeling challenged. Bad things can happen when DS gets cranky.

Good question! Either Roylotty was killing people, or DS…

      • 13 The Dancing Rider November 2, 2013 at 18:05

Will all truth come out at the falls??????

      • 14 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 18:08

        I hope so, yes.

      • 15 The Dancing Rider November 2, 2013 at 18:09

I simultaneously am looking forward to such an episode. And dreading it!

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 18:10

Haha, the question is: Will DS manage to survive?

      • 17 The Dancing Rider November 2, 2013 at 18:13

        Somehow he must!

      • 18 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 18:53

        Maybe Ruber will save him…

      • 19 The Dancing Rider November 2, 2013 at 18:54

Oh, yes, Professor! Ruber would save him, despite how DS has treated him.

      • 20 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 18:58

 I think you could be right. Ruber does have a mean side, though.

      • 21 The Dancing Rider November 2, 2013 at 19:06

Yes, I think Ruber does. But he will come through for DS, even though DS might not be his real daddy! :)

      • 22 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 22:26

        Oh, I think they’re related–of sorts.

      • 23 The Dancing Rider November 3, 2013 at 19:58

Did I mention DS’s chuckling, and particularly well-appointed laughter…..Oh that had me going!

      • 24 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 14:06

I think he does it all good naturedly.

  3. 25 Anja November 1, 2013 at 19:02

Morality….hmmmmmm……I am enjoying sorting voices! :)

    • 26 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 19:13

      Haha, so how’s this sort?

      • 27 Anja November 1, 2013 at 19:18

        Very well thank you :)

      • 28 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 21:43

Is that all the info the professor gets?

      • 29 Anja November 1, 2013 at 21:59

Ummmm yes? What more do you want to know :)

      • 30 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:18

I think Anja is being wicked.

      • 31 Anja November 2, 2013 at 17:21

        Ha really?

      • 32 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:27

        Yup, yep, yes.

      • 33 Anja November 2, 2013 at 17:42

        Nope, no, no

      • 34 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:53

        Hmm…

      • 35 Anja November 2, 2013 at 17:55

        :)

      • 36 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 18:07

        :)

  4. 37 ladycheetah7 November 1, 2013 at 18:56

Prof. Morality. Quite a genius to hoodwink Daddy Olmes. No doubt Olmes will be seeking to thwart his intelligence.

    • 38 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 19:13

But will DS win in the end?

      • 39 ladycheetah7 November 1, 2013 at 19:18

It depends upon who wrote the script.

      • 40 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 21:43

Sometimes they “change” the script, you know.

      • 41 ladycheetah7 November 1, 2013 at 21:48

I see. So…. I read somewhere on the blog that you hold the pure strings. Would that be true about the script?:

      • 42 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:15

You mean does the professor write the scripts?

      • 43 ladycheetah7 November 2, 2013 at 17:20

Yes and does he pull the purse strings. Trying to determine if you are the master mind or master dictator of the PL Franchise
        :-P

      • 44 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:26

Yes, the professor writes all the scripts, mostly. Sometimes Nicholas helps out, though. He’s a creative writer for us.

In truth, the professor is the mastermind. (Dictator works well sometimes.)

      • 45 ladycheetah7 November 2, 2013 at 17:33

        Uh huh. That’s what I thought. ..

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:53

Oh dear. What did you think?

      • 47 ladycheetah7 November 2, 2013 at 18:11

Nothing. Just pulling your coat tail….

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 18:53

Well, the professor needs that from time to time.

      • 49 Susan P November 2, 2013 at 12:58

I suspect that once a script is finished, the characters will, on occasion, take the script into their own hands despite the author’s best (or worst) intentions.

      • 50 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:22

Yes, exactly! Though the professor has to be wicked sometimes to keep things in order.

      • 51 Susan P November 2, 2013 at 20:21

That’s right. It’s a nasty job, but someone must do it.

      • 52 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 22:35

Exactly! (Susan is so understanding. :) )

      • 53 Susan P November 3, 2013 at 00:45

        Bwahahahahahahah!

      • 54 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 14:05

        What a neat word!

      • 55 Susan P November 4, 2013 at 21:05

*drops a curtsy* “Thank you kindly, sir,” she said.

      • 56 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 22:22

        More than welcome!

  5. 57 L. Marie November 1, 2013 at 16:11

Love these Daddy Olmes stories! The perfect thing for me to sit and listen to as I enjoy my morning coffee.

    • 58 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 18:43

Awesome! Is there a particular Holmes story you’d like to see done?

  6. 59 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 1, 2013 at 15:45

Dark. Scary. Two days in a row. :) Goodness, what is happening here? Snakes are gross. Morality’s accent makes me giggle. Hahaha. Not sure if it is Olmes or Morality that will truly save the day. I like a moral superhero, so I guess I’ll pull for him. :D

    • 60 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 18:41

Oh seriously! This was a little happier, wasn’t it? Dadblameit.

Not all snakes. Some are rather professorish.

 Don’t be led astray by his name. I think you should root for Olmes.

      • 61 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 1, 2013 at 19:06

 ;) You get so riled up!! I wish I knew what context I could use Punchinny in… I really like that word. Maybe I need to take some Malediction, (is that like dictation?) so I know how to better speak your language, if it pleases the court, that is. :D

        No, all snakes. YIKES

Olmes, it is then. (Although…that accent was appealing.)

      • 62 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 19:15

I just suffer from extreme bouts of professorishness. Well, it would be used like this. “Punchinny! it’s going to rain!” Or, “I would give a punchinny to know.”

Maledition is a curse. (But you’re already real good at speaking professorish/punchyish. And you’ll get better and better with time–as will the professor! :D )

        Not even the King Cobra?

        (Why do you think?)

      • 63 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 1, 2013 at 19:34

Punchinny! the professor brought up King Cobras!!!
        Why would you do that?

(Not sure…maybe because his voice didn’t say ‘cur’.)
 (I secretly like the word cur, but I wouldn’t admit that, as I don’t believe in foul language.)

Obviously, I’m feeling a bit Punchy today. ;)

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 21:45

Aren’t they neat? (Great use of Punchy argot. :) )

Salami has a filthy mouth!

        And isn’t it great?

      • 65 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 1, 2013 at 21:54

No they aren’t neat! Nasty and very mean.

Salami, uses words that make me laugh.

Yes, it is. I’ve had many a laugh over you today.

      • 66 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:18

All you have to have–to see a great showdown, that is–is a mongoose.

Haha, he is always saying something that’s strange.

That makes the professor so happy!!!

      • 67 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 2, 2013 at 17:34

        :D

      • 68 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:53

      • 69 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 2, 2013 at 21:48

Wait…I was at an Educator’s Conference today at the zoo. They wanted me to hold a snake…umm, NO!!!

I didn’t process all that you had written…
Did you say mongoose?!! Now you’re just trying to put me over the edge. ((Shudder))

      • 70 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 22:36

Are you serious? What kind of snake? You should of held it. The professor would have.

You can’t possibly hate a mongoose?

      • 71 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 2, 2013 at 22:44

YES, very serious. I think you made them!!! Bald Python (spelling?)

I feel faint just thinking about it.

Didn’t you say it was a fight between Mongooses? Or is it mongeese? ;)

      • 72 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 14:04

Now how cool is that? Neatio!

You must have more coffee, then.

I’m not sure who one should say it. But when it doubt, say it in the most professorish way.

  7. 73 technophile9 November 1, 2013 at 15:41

I’ve already read the Speckled Band, so it was very interesting to see how you adapted it.

Professor Morality was very interesting… does he have some sort of dastardly plan I wonder?

    • 74 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 18:41

Pretty good story, isn’t it? I think it’s one of best Holmes stories that Doyle wrote. How do you feel the adaption did?

I would bet so. He didn’t sound like a nice guy to me. What do you think?

      • 75 technophile9 November 1, 2013 at 18:53

Really well. I liked how it ended up. :) Is there a reason the victim turned from female to male? I think that was a better choice.

I actually like Professor Morality for some reason, but I don’t know why.

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 19:13

Well, I thought that Barkoush would play the part well. When I contacted him and he agreed, it was on!

        Is it the accent?

  8. 77 Susan P November 1, 2013 at 14:46

Hmmm…I have to wonder if Dr. Morality is trying to pull the wool over someone’s eyes. This was a humdinger.

    • 78 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 15:32

It was! Do you suppose Olmes or Morality more upright? That’s what’s boggling this professor’s mind.

      • 79 Susan P November 1, 2013 at 15:59

Wellllll…Olmes is Olmes, and one knows what to expect. I’ve seen pretty boys like Morality who have a good reputation and then you find out he’s been…oh, let’s say a Ponzi Scheme. Time will tell.

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 18:43

Good point. Olmes is up front with everything. We know exactly who he is. But Morality on the other hand…the professor wouldn’t trust him.

      • 81 Susan P November 1, 2013 at 19:59

Too right! There is no telling why he was meddling.

      • 82 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 21:46

        Schwarz can be trusted, though.

      • 83 Susan P November 2, 2013 at 00:39

        Who’s been telling you that?

      • 84 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:21

Uhh…I thought it was general knowledge. Do you disagree?

      • 85 Susan P November 2, 2013 at 20:18

He lives in the PL. Who can you really trust there. ;)

      • 86 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 22:33

        The professor?

      • 87 Susan P November 3, 2013 at 00:44

The Professor is but a part time resident. Still…

      • 88 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 14:04

        That’s true. Hmm…

      • 89 Susan P November 4, 2013 at 21:04

It’ll rub off on you, mark my words.

      • 90 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 22:22

        Maybe it already has…

      • 91 Susan P November 4, 2013 at 22:25

        Uh-oh. Stares at the Professor.

      • 92 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 22:33

Gulps and moves into the corner.

      • 93 Susan P November 4, 2013 at 23:46

You can run, but you can’t hide…not forever anyway.

      • 94 Professor VJ Duke November 5, 2013 at 13:54

        But I’ll try!

      • 95 Susan P November 5, 2013 at 22:12

        I’ll send George after you.

      • 96 Professor VJ Duke November 5, 2013 at 23:43

        The professor likes George!

      • 97 Susan P November 6, 2013 at 00:11

You two are in cahoots. He just said he likes the Professor. ;)

      • 98 Professor VJ Duke November 6, 2013 at 02:08

:) Give him a pat for me!

  9. 99 FictionFan November 1, 2013 at 14:26

Deeply disturbing…on so many levels! Olmes has turned evil, Morality is shockingly good, Olmes’s chuckle is getting more villainous by the day…But more frightening than all this is the tag that says ‘one more after this’! No, no, no! The Gnome Gathering will not be pleased if this rumour is confirmed…and the Professor wouldn’t want to upset the gnomes, would he??

    • 100 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 15:29

Well…I think Olmes’s part has been influenced a bit by DS. I always knew Morality was sweet. You see, it wasn’t a surprise to this professor.

Oh yes, I fear only one more. Big waterfall. :D You don’t want the studio doing Olmes forever, do you? Besides…we must make room for two new mini-series. FEF’s bound to like the one.

We may return to Olmes in the future. But 5 is more than enough. Don’t you think so, Ebenezer?

      • 101 FictionFan November 1, 2013 at 16:33

No, Jacob, I do not! The Professor promised me 10! My trust in the Professor’s promises has been shaken to its very foundations…if not destroyed completely! Huh! And trying to bribe me with Tiny Tim won’t stop me going in a major huff – you wait till my goblin friends hear about this!

        PS What’s the other mini-series?

      • 102 Professor VJ Duke November 1, 2013 at 18:47

 I wasn’t sure if I had said that publicly. Well, fine then, if you insist, the professor will honor his word. How’s that? (Just don’t tell the goblins!)

There’s two of them. The studio is throwing around the idea of a Western starring Schwarz. The other, I’m afraid, must be kept a secret. Wouldn’t want to get your hopes up if it’s decided against. (Mic’s trying to convince the professor to do it.)

      • 103 FictionFan November 1, 2013 at 22:30

I should jolly well think so! I shall keep the goblins in reserve…for the moment…but I’ll be counting!

Anything starring my Schwarzy is bound to be good. He’s got so much star quality – the George Clooney of the PL! Ah…yes…Mic…of course! Well, let us know how the negiotations between the…two…of you go…

      • 104 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 17:21

I think FEF is lucky the professor is so sweet…

        Clooney?

Mic doesn’t like not being believed in. Just like Santa.

      • 105 FictionFan November 2, 2013 at 19:09

        So do I! :D

        Definitely…don’t you think so?

Oh, I believe in Santa!! But then he gives me gifts (and chocolate)…

      • 106 Professor VJ Duke November 2, 2013 at 22:29

        I don’t think so…

Well, doesn’t Mic give you vids and skits?

      • 107 FictionFan November 3, 2013 at 01:31

See? You’ve got something against my Schwarzy. Jealous of his charm, sophistication and good looks, I expect…

Hmm…well, it’s the Professor who does that…so perhaps, in a sense, the answer is ‘yes’… ;)

      • 108 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 14:05

The professor isn’t really jealous. I think.

        Mic’s the producer, though.

      • 109 FictionFan November 4, 2013 at 15:03

        Uh-huh…

        Uh-huh…

      • 110 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 15:26

Well, when you meet Mic one day, don’t be surprised if he beats you! I’m sure it’s tough being thought a nobody.

      • 111 FictionFan November 4, 2013 at 15:54

        It is!

      • 112 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 16:17

Oh dear! Don’t…cry! Is FEF supposed by some wicked ones to be a nobody?

      • 113 FictionFan November 4, 2013 at 17:13

        Only by Tuppence…

      • 114 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 18:23

The professor must needs beat her.

      • 115 FictionFan November 4, 2013 at 20:14

I fear the Professor may come off worst in that contest…even if equipped with full body armour…

      • 116 Professor VJ Duke November 4, 2013 at 22:13

I’ll bring Bob and my devils.

      • 117 FictionFan November 4, 2013 at 23:52

        Good luck!

      • 118 Professor VJ Duke November 5, 2013 at 13:54

        As if you mean it!

    • 119 deanthefish November 1, 2013 at 16:56

Next is a series I’m writing about a mutant goldfish named Jaws.

      • 120 FictionFan November 1, 2013 at 17:39

Haha! I think I’d probably enjoy that! But would Symphonist Sepperl be able to beat the fabulous music of the original??

    • 121 deanthefish November 1, 2013 at 17:44

Darn. You weren’t supposed to like that suggestion… Well… I think he might.
