The handling of the potion in the beginning was very nice! I could imagine the tubes, flasks, and Bunsen burner :D The pink text is also quite punchyish.

The scientist gave up pretty easily. I didn’t realize Pez could be that scary. I heard Pez is kinda friends with Pavarinni… Is he?

I still liked DS’s laugh even with the voice change, though not as amusing with his normal voice. I’m a little glad he got the antidote, if only for his laugh and curs

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke November 10, 2013 at 19:46

Ah, thank you! Sound effects can be quite cool. :D

Yes, it’s a strange thing. I think Pav is the only human that Pez–usually–deals with. They’re both meanly bad!

 I’m sure there will be plenty of “curs” and evil laughs coming up–Salami’s plumb mad!

      • 3 Hazy November 11, 2013 at 15:22

        Indeed they are. :D

Maybe Pez needs something from Pav for whatever plan he may have… Who do you think is more meanly bad?

 looking forward to that! hehaha (trying DS’s laugh)

      • 4 Professor VJ Duke November 11, 2013 at 18:32

I think Pez is…and I bet Pav needs something from Pez too…

The professor wishes he could laugh like DS!

      • 5 Hazy November 14, 2013 at 16:36

More practice with DS’s laugh, professor. You’re nearly there! :)

      • 6 Professor VJ Duke November 14, 2013 at 19:07

You’re right! I’m sure you are too.

  2. 7 Anja November 9, 2013 at 11:47

How did I get so late in responding to this. I actually listened to it in my car so had it going through all my speakers. Was funny to really hear the sounds….and voices.
    Anyway….I quite like The Pez

    • 8 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 20:59

:) That sounds great! (Hope no one else heard it!)

But isn’t the Pez evil and…unromantic?

      • 9 Anja November 9, 2013 at 21:44

I was driving in my car alone…all is safe.

Ummmm not sure about his romantic side, but just love his spunk.

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:19

He’s a vicious little beast, for sure.

      • 11 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:21

        So he is tiny?

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:24

Yes, about 6 inches, I believe. Even scarier!

      • 13 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:24

Hmmmm kinda like the Professor in my story….

      • 14 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:26

        I suddenly feel like growling.

      • 15 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:27

You seem to be hungry a lot

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:28

        Dadblameit, dadblame dadblamery!

      • 17 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:29

I really hope you are jumping up and down

      • 18 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:30

I’m trying on my best scary faces.

      • 19 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:30

oh I bet it is funny!

      • 20 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:32

It’s not supposed to be. I bet you wouldn’t call Salami funny!

      • 21 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:33

Oh I would. Like he scares me! HA

      • 22 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:34

        He scares me!

      • 23 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:35

        I will protect you

      • 24 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:36

Can you wield a katana while running across a tight rope?

      • 25 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:37

        I am ninja like

      • 26 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:38

Well, the professor has been called a Samurai Rat, you know.

      • 27 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:39

I did not know. No worries…I am a wolf ninja Gerkee. I got it covered.

      • 28 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:40

      • 29 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:41

        Those are creepy together

      • 30 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:43

        The professor is creepy.

      • 31 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:44

        omg no

      • 32 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:45

:D Well, the professor might be sweet.

      • 33 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:46

        That is my opinion

      • 34 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:48

        Huff-Hum.

      • 35 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:49

        Ohhhh you are funny

      • 36 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:54

        Double Huff-Hum.

      • 37 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:55

        dawwwwww so cute

      • 38 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:56

        :( :(

      • 39 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:57

Oh come on…turn that frown around

      • 40 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 22:59

        ==]:-[)= (The professorish face.)

      • 41 Anja November 9, 2013 at 22:59

        (I know….seen it before)

      • 42 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 23:01

        Glorious, isn’t it?

      • 43 Anja November 9, 2013 at 23:04

So you want to act like you wear a top hat all the time?

      • 44 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 23:09

        I do.

      • 45 Anja November 9, 2013 at 23:10

        Not

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 23:13

        True, though.

      • 47 Anja November 9, 2013 at 23:15

        false, though.

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 23:18

Why do you doubt your senses?

      • 49 Anja November 9, 2013 at 23:19

When did I doubt my own?

      • 50 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 23:22

When you doubted the professor’s hat.

      • 51 Anja November 9, 2013 at 23:23

But that isn’t my own sense

      • 52 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 23:27

The professor wears a top hat everywhere.

      • 53 Anja November 9, 2013 at 23:28

        Proof

      • 54 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 23:31

Huff-Hum, dadblameit, maburnit, malediction, granddadblameit, grandmaburnit!

      • 55 Anja November 9, 2013 at 23:32

Well that was a mini tantrum

      • 56 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 23:33

How do you know it was mini? You should see this place!

      • 57 Anja November 9, 2013 at 23:34

Well I can’t actually see it but I still feel it was mini.

      • 58 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 23:41

I’m actually sitting in my chair, by the fire, smoking and swearing.

      • 59 Anja November 9, 2013 at 23:42

Kinda what I guessed :) I must go make some food…then come up with your 5th story. How in the world did I get to 5?

      • 60 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 23:43

Great. Can’t wait! (It was that good.)

      • 61 Anja November 10, 2013 at 00:06

        ah….writing begins……

      • 62 Professor VJ Duke November 10, 2013 at 19:31

Great! But I bet I’m late.

      • 63 Anja November 10, 2013 at 19:45

        could be…..

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke November 10, 2013 at 19:48

The professor be on his way.

      • 65 Anja November 10, 2013 at 19:48

        hahahaha ok

      • 66 Professor VJ Duke November 10, 2013 at 19:51

        :D

  3. 67 naomimgruer November 8, 2013 at 23:17

Bizarro! But I think that’s what you were going for. :)

    • 68 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 23:28

 Bizarro…what a great word. (It could be added to the Punchy Argot, you know.) The professor thinks the story would make more sense in the context of the two other parts, but…overall…it is strange indeed!

  4. 69 The Dancing Rider November 8, 2013 at 21:52

The bubbling in the beginning got me chuckling right away.

I love that the very *mention* of Pez was enough to quickly dispatch Scientist

But most of all, I enjoyed that DS was going to eat some grass. I sure do hope it helped Schwarz’s voice, too! ;)

    • 70 The Dancing Rider November 8, 2013 at 21:53

Oh, Professor! I forgot the meanwhile-eth’s. So funny! ;-)

      • 71 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 22:55

 Meanwhile’s just too dadblame boring!

    • 72 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 22:54

      It was the Pink Potion!

Surprising, wasn’t it? We must assume that a. Scientist had a run-in with Pez in the past or b. Scientist knows of Pez.

 If it worked for Salami (it did) it worked for Schwarz too. Do you feel bad at all for Fats Henry?

      • 73 The Dancing Rider November 8, 2013 at 23:00

Well, as he will be cured, perhaps a little early on in this story in terms of how he was treated, but not too much later on.

Isn’t is always that a common substance can cure the most DAStardly invention’s effects?!

      • 74 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 23:27

No one ever feels bad for Henry.

        It is! What a wonder.

  5. 75 technophile9 November 8, 2013 at 21:28

I hope we find out more about Pez… he seems to scare the Scientist. And Salami was also pretty cool here – nice one-liners. :)

    • 76 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 22:53

Pez is a shifty little beast. Feared by mostly everyone–except Salami.

      Thanks!

  6. 77 Susan P November 8, 2013 at 20:58

Meanwhile-eth LOL Love the pink color.
    Grass is the antidote. Genius.
I’m guessing this will be continued. At least, I hope so. The grass antidote sounds like it was concocted by Nebuchadnezzar.

    • 78 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 22:50

:D But it’s too much pink for this stingy professor!

One would think DS would have thought of that. When he gets flustered, his mind shuts off.

 It does, you’re right. I think there should be a Punchy character named Nebuchadnezzar…

Is there a character (Punchy character) you’d like to see in the next one?

      • 79 Susan P November 9, 2013 at 03:08

I think I would like to see some interaction between Julliard Salami and Oregano. Is that possible?

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 20:57

Ooo… Well…I’ll look into it, dadblameit!

  7. 81 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 8, 2013 at 20:36

Hmm. Ruber is getting brave, I’d say. I do enjoy MM use of honeybutts. Quickly becoming my favorite nickname… too funny!

    • 82 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 20:40

He has occasional bouts of bravery–especially when DS is needy. Have you been tempted to use it? The professor has!

      • 83 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 8, 2013 at 20:42

Oh I have, but on who? They’d look at me crazy, I think!

      • 84 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 20:43

 You can blame it all on the professor, if you’d like. Who…hmm. Well, I’m not sure. Any suggestions?

      • 85 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 8, 2013 at 20:45

I couldn’t use it on WordPress, they’d think I was nutty as the professor. :D

      • 86 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 22:46

 Wouldn’t want that! Well, how about…use it on your family?

      • 87 Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister November 8, 2013 at 23:21

Manly, I do prefer when you say. :D

      • 88 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 23:29

      • 89 Jazzy Couldren November 8, 2013 at 20:58

Hey, it’s a manly term to use.

      • 90 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 22:47

        It is!

      • 91 Susan P November 8, 2013 at 20:59

I used it once on Jazzy. :D

      • 92 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 22:51

Haha! I remember, and it was so funny.

      • 93 Susan P November 9, 2013 at 03:10

Oh, Professor, you have created a monster of epithets by giving me all of those fantastic ones. I’m waiting for the first time to use it on someone not from the PL. The fun part will be trying to explain the whole thing to that someone.

      • 94 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 20:58

 Dear me! And then they’ll think the professor’s crazy, I suppose. But they are good sayings and such. :)

      • 95 Susan P November 9, 2013 at 03:11

        :D

      • 96 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 20:58

      • 97 Jazzy Couldren November 8, 2013 at 22:58

I don’t done think it was funny.

      • 98 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 23:25

But do you done done done think it was mean?

      • 99 Jazzy Couldren November 11, 2013 at 23:01

        :}

      • 100 Professor VJ Duke November 11, 2013 at 23:09

        I love that face!

  8. 101 sonya solomonovich November 8, 2013 at 19:13

Lol that was punchalicious! Poor Daddy Salami, reduced to eating grass. No doubt he will want to take revenge on the scientist!

    • 102 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 19:53

It was! (Great use of Punchy Argot.) I’m sure it will be horrid, horrid revenge. The professor won’t want to look.

  9. 103 Painting Pundit November 8, 2013 at 17:02

Can a green potion be made of the grass?

    • 104 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 19:49

Interesting! I bet so, and I bet that Scientist has it. (The professor is sure it would look yucky, though.)

      • 105 Susan P November 8, 2013 at 21:00

        And taste nasty.

      • 106 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 22:51

Yes, exactly! But I do wonder if the pink one is any good.

  10. 107 eadavisblog November 8, 2013 at 16:40

I would love a voice change. Pink potion? :-)

    • 108 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 19:48

 Really? Even if you started to sound…squeakier?

      • 109 eadavisblog November 8, 2013 at 21:24

        Well, ok, maybe not :-)

      • 110 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 22:53

But I do see what you mean. It would be great for pranks–if you’re that kind of person.

      • 111 eadavisblog November 9, 2013 at 00:36

Yes, but I hear there are apps for that haha

      • 112 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 20:56

Haha. Well, I suppose the professor would think about it. But I’m not sure. Imagine if you could summon–at your will–tens of crazy voices!

      • 113 eadavisblog November 10, 2013 at 01:01

        That would be something

      • 114 Professor VJ Duke November 10, 2013 at 19:31

        That would be dadblamery! :)

  11. 115 L. Marie November 8, 2013 at 15:43

Ha ha!!! Hilarious as always. I’m hoping there will be a Return of the Pink Potion, followed by Son of the Pink Potion. :-)

    • 116 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 16:14

 The professor is thrilled that you made the connection! Yes, if you’d like…though the studio was planning on only one more.

  12. 117 FictionFan November 8, 2013 at 15:21

I think I like their new voices better! Good to see an appearance from scary Zez, even if he is going by a false name…

    • 118 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 16:14

 You would! Oh yes, that’s right. Well, Zez is the same as Pez–interchangeable.

BTW, since you’ve got the professor working overtime on Holmes skits, could you please suggest a few titles to do? I fear my knowledge of Holmes only goes so far.

      • 119 FictionFan November 8, 2013 at 18:14

I’d love to know how he does his gurgle…

Well, I’ve had a look with a view to ones I think could be Punchy-ised. If you look them up on Wikipedia it gives you a summary of the full story, so you can see what you think without having to read the full thing…

The Man with the Twisted Lip
The Adventure of the Three Students
The Adventure of the Dying Detective
The Adventure of the Devil’s Foot
The Adventure of the Creeping Man
The Adventure of the Lion’s Mane

      • 120 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 19:52

Would you like me to ask him? I think it comes from somewhere deep within his throat.

FEF, thanks so much. The Devil’s Foot catches the professor’s eye.

      • 121 FictionFan November 9, 2013 at 00:50

No, probably better to maintain the mystery…

No problem. But don’t do the Olmes’s if you’d rather not. It’s not a big deal – the other skits are just as enjoyable.

      • 122 Professor VJ Duke November 9, 2013 at 20:57

        Alrighteth!

        ;)

      • 123 sonya solomonovich November 8, 2013 at 19:12

I can’t wait to see these punchified!

      • 124 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 19:52

 I hope they live up to your expectations!

  13. 125 I Am Jasmine Kyle November 8, 2013 at 14:49

Pink Potion Hard Candy! Where can I get some??

    • 126 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 16:12

But what about your voice? You wouldn’t want to end up sounding like Salami, would you?

      • 127 I Am Jasmine Kyle November 8, 2013 at 17:13

If only the potion lasted for a day or so…

      • 128 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 19:50

So you would try it! Well, maybe the professor would too.

      • 129 I Am Jasmine Kyle November 8, 2013 at 19:58

        :)

      • 130 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 20:24

  14. 131 ladycheetah7 November 8, 2013 at 14:19

So that is all it took, eh? Boredom and grass. Was DS ever cured? I see you habitually like to leave cliff hangers.

    • 132 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 16:10

 Yes! Oh no, DS got cured. Aren’t you happy for him?

      • 133 ladycheetah7 November 8, 2013 at 16:13

        Nope! Lol.
        :-)

      • 134 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 16:15

Haha. Do you like Zez (Pez)?

      • 135 ladycheetah7 November 8, 2013 at 16:18

Um was that the Wizard of Oz of the Punchy Land?

      • 136 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 16:24

 Well, he’s more vicious–unlike the wizard, who’s rather useless. Doesn’t Pez scare you?

      • 137 ladycheetah7 November 8, 2013 at 16:41

Im not easily frightened or threatened. Except dogs of which I am not a lover. If I appear fearful it would be what I am afraid for the opposite party because if it is a full moon, well let’s just say it wouldn’t go well for them.

      • 138 Professor VJ Duke November 8, 2013 at 19:48

Haha! I like your viciousness. Seriously, you must teach the professor.

How do I know that DS was cured? Maybe he was cured like bacon or something. Details. We need details.

 Cured like Salami–if such a thing is possible. In the next one, then. Would you rather a Holmes or Pink Potion episode next?

      • 141 Susan P November 9, 2013 at 03:12

Maybe you ought to consider finishing the Pink Potion story before you move on to Daddy Olmes again. Both are hilarious, though.

We were doing every other week…too inconsistent?

      • 143 Susan P November 10, 2013 at 22:26

Oh, see, now you tell me. That would explain a lot. :D

      • 144 Professor VJ Duke November 10, 2013 at 23:22

Now the professor doesn’t know what to do.

      • 145 Susan P November 10, 2013 at 23:36

Do what you want to do, sir, she said.

      • 146 Professor VJ Duke November 11, 2013 at 13:10

The professor isn’t even sure what that is.

      • 147 Susan P November 11, 2013 at 13:50

The Professor isn’t sure what what is?

      • 148 Professor VJ Duke November 11, 2013 at 14:20

He’s not sure what he wants.

      • 149 Susan P November 11, 2013 at 14:22

Sometimes that is for the best. :D

      • 150 Professor VJ Duke November 11, 2013 at 14:23

I hope so! Susan makes the professor feel rather swell.

      • 151 Susan P November 11, 2013 at 14:31

        That’s good, right? ;)

      • 152 Professor VJ Duke November 11, 2013 at 18:26

        That’s awesome! :D

      • 153 Susan P November 11, 2013 at 18:39

        :D

      • 154 Professor VJ Duke November 11, 2013 at 18:42
