“Oh yeah, yeah yeah” loved it. I might try and use “twerdlit” as an insult sometime.

I iked the music after the green bean soup (yeck) explanation, so festive! Even Olmes hummed along!

I remember now why DS’s way of talking sounds familiar… He sounds a bit like Rumplestiltskin from the TV series Once Upon a Time! I wouldn’t be surprised if they were somewhat related.

Can’t wait to see what happens next!

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke December 7, 2013 at 20:41

Schwarz and his sayings! Yes, do. I’ll have to as well.

 Olmes and his singing! Such dadblamery.

Haha! But I don’t think he looks like that, and he’s much sweeter… ;) (They could be for sure.)

      • 3 Hazy December 8, 2013 at 04:41

 Dadblamery indeed. Though it was such fun dadblamery! I hope we hear some of Olmes singing again in the future…

Oh yes, I think Rumplestiltskin looks scarier than DS. Do you watch the series? I can’t imagine yet how DS could be sweeter, perhaps because DS has no magic ;)

      • 4 Professor VJ Duke December 9, 2013 at 15:05

Oh, I’m sure he’d like to again.

I haven’t! But I did look on Youtube, and he’s rather scary! DS, I think, can be scary sometimes…

  2. 5 L. Marie December 2, 2013 at 13:43

Who knew that Ruber had so many gold coins in his wallet???

    • 6 Professor VJ Duke December 2, 2013 at 18:11

DS did. But I do wonder where they came from…

  3. 7 Sonya Solomonovich November 29, 2013 at 22:54

I quite enjoyed DS’s singing. And also Ruber’s attempt at a DS chuckle. Not nearly as good, but I think he’s getting there. How quickly they grow up…

    • 8 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 00:24

Wasn’t it wild? That would be funny: Ruber trying to laugh like DS! Who grows up?

      • 9 Sonya Solomonovich December 2, 2013 at 02:23

Children. They grow up and soon begin to chuckle like their daddies.

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke December 2, 2013 at 18:11

        That’s a scary thought in DS’s and Ruber’s case…

  4. 11 sknicholls November 29, 2013 at 22:10

Poor Olmes. He just doesn’t get it yet.

    • 12 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 00:22

He didn’t. Must be his ‘cold.’

  5. 13 The Dancing Rider November 29, 2013 at 22:10

That latin-themed musical interlude was priceless!

Pitiful Olmes! Sucker! I suppose it serves him right? And then of course he blames Ratson!

I wonder what Olmes is going to do when, after considerable time passes, he figures it out! ;)

    • 14 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 00:22

      Even with Salami’s singing? :)

Some Sherlock Holmes he makes! I do feel bad for Ratson too…

It will probably be ugly. I do hope he takes it out on the crooks, though.

      • 15 The Dancing Rider November 30, 2013 at 14:46

Oh, me, too. Those dadblamed idiots!

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 14:48

        Dadblamed indeed! Twerdlits!

  6. 17 Debbie November 29, 2013 at 21:34

Okay, I kind of feel like I came into the theater when the credits were rolling! I must confess I almost paused this for good when they described the green bean soup — yuck! Nice sound effects, though, especially the gold coins. And the scary, building suspense music!

    • 18 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 21:47

Yucketh indeed! Imagine eating that! (Do you like the theater) What about DS’s singing?

  7. 19 Painting Pundit November 29, 2013 at 17:14

Will have to remember “Twerdlits” and use it conversation. Once again, the Salamis have been had!

    • 20 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 17:25

 They were again. When do you think you would use twerdlits in a conversation? The professor’s been trying to think of it.

      • 21 Painting Pundit November 29, 2013 at 17:28

My former neighbors were twerdlits. I can say, ” remember when the awful Twerdlits lived next door?

      • 22 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 21:34

 The professor can say this, too! That’s really neat.

  8. 23 Susan P November 29, 2013 at 16:21

That was a piece of work if ever I heard one. There can be no really good ending to this – these sorts of things tend to escalate until someone cries off – only this crew aren’t likely to call off, are they then?

I’m anticipating the next round. :D

    • 24 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 17:23

No, not likely. I’m sure DS will be mad–when everything finally dawns on him. Now, the professor must know who your favorite was for this round?

      It could get even scarier.

      • 25 Susan P November 29, 2013 at 18:48

Yes, when DS realizes that he’s been punked (as per Her Ladyship) I expect some painful retribution, perhaps a dunk in a half frozen river.

      • 26 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 21:39

That would be horrible! Could make ice lollies, I suppose. Ladyship comes up with great sayings, you know.

      • 27 Susan P November 29, 2013 at 22:22

Ice lollies might be fun – wait: it’s not near Ruber’s place, is it?

      • 28 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 00:22

Haha, not that I know of. It’s near the professor’s place.

  9. 29 ladycheetah7 November 29, 2013 at 15:23

Daddy Olmes got punked. Not quite the ending I was expecting. Us Americans, always expecting a happy ever after ending. Lol!

    • 30 ladycheetah7 November 29, 2013 at 15:24

      * We Americans. Shame on me for such poor grammar. Truly I am showing my ignorance today.

      • 31 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 17:22

        It’s my fault. I’ve muddled your brain, haven’t I?

      • 32 ladycheetah7 November 29, 2013 at 17:52

Not at all. I can’t think of any particular reason so let’s just chuck this one up to Obamacare and annoying, needy co-workers.
        :-P

      • 33 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 21:36

  That sounds really nice!

      • 34 Susan P November 29, 2013 at 18:50

Personally, I blame it on Nixon – what a mouth that man had. And he took us off the gold standard and stopped indexing the income.

      • 35 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 21:40

 The professor doesn’t want to be a politician.

      • 36 Susan P November 29, 2013 at 22:24

I only complain about the dead politicians. ;)

      • 37 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 00:23

 The professor complains about them all, I think…

      • 38 Susan P November 30, 2013 at 04:40

ruh ro. Take care of yourself.

      • 39 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 14:34

        I try, but…

      • 40 Susan P November 30, 2013 at 14:36

But what? Don’t leave me hanging.

      • 41 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 14:45

        Well, it doesn’t happen.

      • 42 Susan P November 30, 2013 at 15:02

        Laws, Professor. Why-ever not?

      • 43 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 21:15

The professor is always in danger.

      • 44 Susan P November 30, 2013 at 21:29

        I daresay he is. ;)

      • 45 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 21:48

        See? You know.

      • 46 Susan P December 1, 2013 at 22:09

I knows a lot but I can’t remember all of it.

      • 47 Professor VJ Duke December 2, 2013 at 18:09

        Haha, that sounds like me!

      • 48 ladycheetah7 November 30, 2013 at 00:45

        Thar takes great restraint. Lol.

      • 49 Susan P November 30, 2013 at 04:57

I should have added “in public.”

    • 50 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 17:22

A happy ending with DS? Surely you can’t be serious!

      • 51 ladycheetah7 November 29, 2013 at 17:55

Not for DS but his character.

      • 52 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 21:36

You should appreciate DS a little more…

      • 53 ladycheetah7 November 30, 2013 at 00:46

        Pst! Not gonna happen.

      • 54 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 14:31

I’m sure he’s upset about that.

      • 55 ladycheetah7 November 29, 2013 at 17:57

Now if DS played himself, then electrocution or being thrown off of a cliff would have been appropriate.

      • 56 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 21:36

        How mean of you, Lady!

      • 57 ladycheetah7 November 30, 2013 at 00:48

Mean? Not at all. This is creative expression.

      • 58 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 14:31

        DS would probably laugh!

  10. 59 FictionFan November 29, 2013 at 14:44

  Brilliant! Loved Ruber’s new chuckle! And what a team my Schwarzy and Daniel make! And I just adored Professor Morality’s accent – SO authentically London. ;) I may never be able to read the stories again without those voices in my head…was it based on some film?

And what on earth was the bit with the Caribbean singalong???

    Pure dadblamery indeed!!

    • 60 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 17:21

:D His accent goes right through this professor, dadblameit! It wasn’t based on a film. I’m afraid this came directly from the professor’s silly little head. (Wouldn’t Holmes sound much better with an evil laugh?)

 Salami had a record or something. Doesn’t he have a stellar voice? And what about his counter melody!

      :D

      • 61 FictionFan November 29, 2013 at 19:33

Then I’m very glad the Professor’s little head is silly! I only thought it might be a film because I thought there must be a reason for Professor Morality’s accent – I’m rather delighted to know that there wasn’t. ;)

The singing made me howl! I wish Ruber – sorry, Ratson – hadn’t stopped it. Maybe we need a vid of Olmes’ Greatest Hits…

You do make me laugh, Prof! All of you – even the imaginary ones!

      • 62 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 21:45

Little head? How insulting! No, that’s what his actor decided to do–blah!

 The studio is planning something like that, I think. DS took to it like a kid does to an ice lolly. (What a neatio saying!)

        Haha–Huff-Hum! Imaginary! Malediction!

      • 63 FictionFan November 30, 2013 at 01:58

Oh, I do beg your pardon! Silly big head, then…

I think it was an inspired decision on the part of the actor, giving hitherto unsuspected insights into the depths of the character…

 Can’t wait! I must admit, DS has never given me the imrpession that he’s the shy, retiring type…

Don’t you hurl your maledictions at me, you rapscallion!

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 14:34

        Huff-Hum.

It wasn’t in the script–that’s for sure.

        He’s rather brazen, I’d say.

        Only when you deserve them!

  11. 65 Anja November 29, 2013 at 14:31

Oh Olmes….guess they won’t be putting up Christmas decorations today.

    • 66 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 17:19

No, not at all! Do you think they’ve got a tree?

      • 67 Anja November 29, 2013 at 17:50

I don’t think Olmes would remember to get a tree….but maybe Ratson.

      • 68 Professor VJ Duke November 29, 2013 at 21:35

        The professor wouldn’t either.

      • 69 Anja November 29, 2013 at 22:04

I have no tree going up this year….but that is because I am going back home for Christmas.

      • 70 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 00:21

        Nice! Where’s home?

      • 71 Anja November 30, 2013 at 00:25

I was born and raised in Ohio…very small town.

      • 72 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 00:26

        Oh. A Brown’s fan?

      • 73 Anja November 30, 2013 at 00:28

Uh NO!!!!! I am an outcast…I like the Steelers.

      • 74 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 00:35

Oh yes, I remember that. The professor is supposed to like the Steelers but I’m a Patriot fan.

      • 75 Anja November 30, 2013 at 00:35

        eek…Patriots? WHY

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 00:36

        Aren’t they cool?

      • 77 Anja November 30, 2013 at 00:41

If you like coaches who cheat….

      • 78 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 14:30

Oh, you must forget about that. (Besides, I bet he’s romantic.)

      • 79 Anja November 30, 2013 at 14:45

Forget about a cheating scandal? (uhhh he isn’t smart enough)

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 14:48

        Yes. I did. (Interesting!)

      • 81 Anja November 30, 2013 at 14:52

If you had truly forgotten, then you wouldn’t have known what I was referring to ;) (really…why?)

      • 82 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 21:14

Well! Maybe you’re right. (Because he’s considered one of the smartest coaches in the NFL.

      • 83 Anja November 30, 2013 at 21:21

        (not by me….)

      • 84 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 21:23

        Well, why not?

      • 85 Anja November 30, 2013 at 21:24

Because he just isn’t. And anyone who cheats…well…I lose respect for them. Not to say all the other coaches are perfect.

      • 86 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 21:47

Well, you might have a point. But that was so long ago.

      • 87 Anja November 30, 2013 at 21:47

Oh typical Patriot fan response :)

      • 88 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 21:48

        I like Brady, too.

      • 89 Anja November 30, 2013 at 21:49

        Oh my……….

      • 90 Professor VJ Duke November 30, 2013 at 21:50

        You don’t?

      • 91 Anja November 30, 2013 at 21:54

        No

      • 92 Professor VJ Duke December 1, 2013 at 20:16

        Why?

      • 93 Anja December 1, 2013 at 20:51

        Many reasons….

      • 94 Professor VJ Duke December 2, 2013 at 18:08

        Huff-Hum and a half.

      • 95 Anja December 3, 2013 at 00:47

        :)

      • 96 Professor VJ Duke December 3, 2013 at 03:49
