    Excellent production, as always!

Fats Henry somehow reminds me a bit of Cookie Monster hehaha :D

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke February 5, 2014 at 19:38

      Many thanks, Hazy!

      He loves cookies!

      • 3 Hazy February 13, 2014 at 05:26

 Cookies are yummo! What kind of cookies?

      • 4 Professor VJ Duke February 13, 2014 at 14:44

        Peanut butter?

      • 5 Hazy February 23, 2014 at 04:40

        Great! I love peanut butter.

      • 6 Professor VJ Duke February 24, 2014 at 14:47

        It’s a bit sticky!

      • 7 Hazy February 25, 2014 at 12:37

The stickiness is part of its yumminess! I like the crunchy variety more than the creamy ones. Do you like peanut butter?

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke February 25, 2014 at 17:58

Well…if it didn’t get stuck in my throat I would! :) I like it in cookies.

      • 9 Hazy March 2, 2014 at 12:27

Too sticky if it gets stuck in your throat. Be careful with peanut butter! :D It does taste yummers in cookies.

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke March 2, 2014 at 23:17

 Yummers…what a fabulous word, Hazy!

      • 11 Hazy March 16, 2014 at 14:01

        It is, isn’t it?

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke March 16, 2014 at 19:19

        Yes!

  2. 13 Gene'O January 29, 2014 at 18:37

Yes I looked. The comment thread with all the timestamps from last summer is curious.

    • 14 Professor VJ Duke January 29, 2014 at 19:19

It used to be The Hut page. It’s being redesigned into Square 1.

      • 15 Gene'O January 29, 2014 at 19:23

Oh I see. I like the fact that there are all those comments there, but no content to see what the discussion was about. Very cool.

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke January 30, 2014 at 00:51

Yes, yes. Dadblamery, I suppose. The professor is full of it, you know.

      • 17 Gene'O January 30, 2014 at 00:54

yes I know. It is one of the things i appreciate about the professor.

      • 18 Professor VJ Duke January 30, 2014 at 01:07

and i appreciate that you appreciate it–if that makes sense!

  3. 19 K. A. Brace January 26, 2014 at 20:33

Yes I looked. I taught that damn book as an intern for an Ed degree. I like your version better. Liked your blurbs too, esp. the Dickens’ Carol. >KB

    • 20 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:57

Many thanks! Would you recommend the book? The professor’s never read it.

  4. 21 Sonya Solomonovich January 25, 2014 at 23:42

What if the Lord of the Flies is real?! Perhaps it’s Zez…

    • 22 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:46

      Ooo, what a scary thought!

  5. 23 Jackie January 25, 2014 at 16:00

I think Drake’s laugh has gotten just a tad more evil but it doesn’t come close to Salami’s as far as I’m concerned. Darke is still an evil laugher in training but he does show promise!

I looked and then I looked away.

    • 24 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:23

 I like that: evil laugher in training. But you’re right, Salami’s is scarier!

      I did too.

  6. 25 Martha Kennedy January 25, 2014 at 06:45

    Yes.

    • 26 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:14

You know, the professor did too. I couldn’t resist.

  7. 27 Garden Walk Garden Talk January 25, 2014 at 01:09

This was really entertaining. So clever and fun voices.

    • 28 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:09

      Many thanks!

  8. 29 Anja January 25, 2014 at 00:48

I only watch these videos of that horrible book because I know you will make them entertaining.

    • 30 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:09

It’s not at all like the book, I fear.

      • 31 Anja January 26, 2014 at 00:39

        Thank goodness!!

      • 32 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:47

        :D

  9. 33 The Dancing Rider January 24, 2014 at 22:24

Yes, I did look. Love the page.

How did I know that DS would be behind a trap?! Everytime I hear FH talk I cringe, thinking he is part of my PL character! EEK!

By the way, I loved Art! And Veezler……who appears to know all! :)

    • 34 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:43

Really? What’s to love? Soon it will be glorious. :)

 You don’t like FH? DS is kept in line by Drake, I think.

Interesting! I suppose Art (and Veezler) should star in more vids, then!

      • 35 The Dancing Rider January 24, 2014 at 22:46

Oh he’s know it all for sure……I just don’t like being associated with him(lol). Yes, DS may be kept in line by Drake.

Well, if it will be glorious soon, looking forward!

      • 36 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:05

        Well–why are you?

        Great!

      • 37 The Dancing Rider January 26, 2014 at 15:57

He was part of my PL character. EEEK! Must be the “know it all” syndrome! ;-)

      • 38 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:52

 The professor forgot about that… You know, if you’d like–you can strike him from your profile!

      • 39 The Dancing Rider January 27, 2014 at 14:11

I’m only joking, professor. It’s ok! We have to be who we are  ;-)

      • 40 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 14:22

 What would be worse is if you got the professor!

      • 41 The Dancing Rider January 27, 2014 at 14:23

No way! The professor knows all! :)

      • 42 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 17:57

That’s very nice of you to say! (Wish I could believe it. :) )

  10. 43 Susan P January 24, 2014 at 21:05

OH! THAT don’t look. I didn’t look at that yesterday.

    • 44 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:41

Yes, sorry, that’s what I meant. Did thou looketh today?

      • 45 Susan P January 25, 2014 at 15:33

I did look. I only didn’t look before because I was in a great rush.

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:18

The professor can’t help but to look himself.

      • 47 Susan P January 26, 2014 at 01:59

Well, look well. I hear changes are on the way.

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:48

        They are!

      • 49 Susan P January 27, 2014 at 13:59

        :D

  11. 50 Bethy January 24, 2014 at 19:11

Punchalicioius the coconuts are back! What a good after lunch show!

    • 51 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:28

      Maybe a bit scary?

      • 52 Bethy January 26, 2014 at 20:24

        um…not particularly?

      • 53 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:56

That’s fine. The professor likes scary things. :)

      • 54 Bethy January 27, 2014 at 15:30

I only like scary things on dark and stormy nights when I have my blankie and my large teddy bear.

      • 55 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 18:05

I must agree with that. Plus, of course, a katana.

      • 56 Bethy January 28, 2014 at 14:58

erm…Should I be afraid to ask what a katana is?

      • 57 Professor VJ Duke January 28, 2014 at 18:18

Not at all. It’s a lovely sharp, professorish, super-cool ninja sword!

      • 58 Bethy January 28, 2014 at 19:44

That would be lovely to have along!

      • 59 Professor VJ Duke January 29, 2014 at 00:59

:D (Everybody’s jealous of it, you know.)

      • 60 Bethy January 29, 2014 at 23:45

Well of course! My husband likes to collect that sort of stuff. I can’t remember their names though. :D

      • 61 Professor VJ Duke January 30, 2014 at 01:03

        Yes, he’d understand!

  12. 62 Tonia January 24, 2014 at 19:04

WOWEEE…awesomely adorable!! Lov this group of characters, developed with the most entertaining voices!!

You are very good at this and i am IMPRESSED! i look forward to more…KEEP The COCONUTS COMING..i luv ’em :)

    • 63 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:28

Aw, thanks, Tonia!!! Who was your favorite character?

      The professor is honored!

      • 64 Tonia January 24, 2014 at 23:16

hmm, it is too difficult to choose at this point….they’re all cutie pies. :)

p..s. if u ever start a poetry blog, let me know.

but your narratives are wonderful, :)…havent forgotten that manly one. reminded me of my brothers. :)

      • 65 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:07

        :D

I will, but it will be scary!

Great. Are your brothers manly? :)

  13. 66 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister January 24, 2014 at 17:42

For the record, I do not like coconuts not one bit. I’m hiding under the blanket that happens to be keeping me warm on this cold morning. (Too scary!!) I shan’t come out.

It was nice to her the ukes again, professor. I especially enjoyed the second catchy tune… :) Sounded a little like, naw couldn’t be.

I’m happy to see that Arthur is going to take care of Drake and DS.

I think I felt Piggy this time, but I could be mistaken. Did you know that Piggy’s big question while on the island was:

“Which is better—to have rules and agree, or to hunt and kill? … law and rescue, or hunting and breaking things up?” Or something like that…thought you might enjoy that little tid bit.

    • 67 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:23

Really? Not even on cakes and puddings, and sausage?

Like what? The professor must needs to know?

Are you rooting for Art? I think the professor maybe is…

I did enjoy that. Which character are you saying was like piggy?

      • 68 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister January 24, 2014 at 22:50

No, not on anything. It’s nice in a story though…

        You know

I guess I am rooting for him. I’m certainly not rooting for Drake.

The know it all one…I should listen again. Too long between listens.

      • 69 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:07

        I don’t know! Who?

        Henry?

      • 70 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister January 26, 2014 at 00:19

        Henry, who?

      • 71 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:46

        Fats Henry.

  14. 72 ladycheetah7 January 24, 2014 at 17:28

    That was pretty entertaining.
    :-)

    • 73 Bethy January 24, 2014 at 19:25

      I agree completely! :D

    • 74 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:20

Thanks, Lady! Who was your favorite character?

      • 75 ladycheetah7 January 24, 2014 at 23:17

        No one really stood out.

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:08

        I see what you mean.

  15. 77 Painting Pundit January 24, 2014 at 15:47

I looked! DS has met his match in Drake!

    • 78 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 16:25

It will be a very nice page, as soon as the professor gets a moving.

      Ooo, do you think so?

      • 79 Painting Pundit January 24, 2014 at 21:04

        Yes and yes!

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:41

Haha, it’s an interest for sure!

  16. 81 L. Marie January 24, 2014 at 15:45

I can’t help thinking of Lord of the Flies and the TV show Lost. And to answer the question, yes, I looked.

    • 82 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 16:24

Who was your favorite character in this skit?

 It will be a great page soon!

  17. 83 FictionFan January 24, 2014 at 15:09

Very scary! And Drake’s evil chuckle is coming along nicely – the sausage has competition! (Mind you, The Veezler sounds as if he could be a bit scary too…)

    Look at what?

    • 84 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 15:17

I really feel bad for DS, don’t you? (Him? Nah. He’s sweet–like the professor.)

The professor isn’t sure he knows what you mean.

      • 85 FictionFan January 24, 2014 at 18:07

I do, yes! (The Professor may be sweet but he’s also wicked – will we be seeing more of The Veezler?)

The Professor asked if we’d looked…(sometimes I wonder if C-W-W reads these posts…)

      • 86 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:27

Yes. The professor finally got up a list of all the characters that ever played in a skit. Won’t be missing anyone in the future. Would you like to see more of him?

Oh, sorry! I meant looked at the page that says, Don’t look. I’m losing my mind, you know.

      • 87 FictionFan January 25, 2014 at 03:08

The Professor being organised and not forgetting things?? I’ll believe that when I see it! ;)

Yes, I would. Did I recognise Arthur’s voice today? It sounded…familiar…

Ah, no I didn’t look, but I have now and am fascinated to see that, even though I’ve never been to that page before I seem to have left comments on it. Spooky!

      • 88 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:10

        Me too.

Arthur? He’s been in other skits. Is that what you mean?

You actually have. It used to be the Hut. Mic’s redesigning it.

      • 89 FictionFan January 26, 2014 at 19:25

        Perhaps that’s what I meant…never mind!

Is he? So he runs the blog as well as the studio? Multi-talented! So what does the Professor do? ;)

      • 90 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:53

FEF seems confused and groping for answers. All you have to do is ask, the helpful professor would help.

The whole team runs this thing, believe it or not!

      • 91 FictionFan January 27, 2014 at 16:31

 You’re so kind! But in my experience the wicked Professor prefers to mystify than clarify…

        I will believe it…or not! ;)

      • 92 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 18:06

Hey, that’s changing. Just ask, and you’ll see. I’m being honest now.

I’m actually quite honored you think it’s all me! :D

      • 93 FictionFan January 27, 2014 at 18:49

Welllllll…I thought there were certain similarities between Arthur’s voice and a certain Professor of my acquaintance – but perhaps I was imagining it. It’s been a while since we heard the Professor speak…

        :D You and…ahem…Mic!

      • 94 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 20:13

That’s very interesting. :) But the professor actually has an accent.

      • 95 FictionFan January 27, 2014 at 22:59

 So much for clarification! I feel I must point out that Arthur has an accent too…in fact, a very strange accent indeed for a King of England…

      • 96 Professor VJ Duke January 28, 2014 at 14:22

Odd, isn’t it? But that’s how he always spoke. I was lying, the professor actually doesn’t have an accent.

      • 97 FictionFan January 28, 2014 at 21:25

        Oh, yes he does!

      • 98 Professor VJ Duke January 29, 2014 at 01:12

        I do not!

      • 99 FictionFan January 29, 2014 at 16:30

Oh, yes you do! (This could go on for a while…)

      • 100 Professor VJ Duke January 29, 2014 at 19:15

There is no such thing as an American accent!

      • 101 FictionFan January 29, 2014 at 23:24

Oh yes, there is! (Yep, a long, long while…)

      • 102 Professor VJ Duke January 30, 2014 at 01:00

Haha! If that was the case, the professor would have one!

      • 103 FictionFan January 30, 2014 at 02:19

Oh, ye…never mind! (But he does…)

      • 104 Professor VJ Duke January 30, 2014 at 14:16

        Och!

  18. 105 Susan P January 24, 2014 at 15:05

Arrgh. Fun, but funniest is DS’s laugh. Sometimes I think you have a different manuscript for Lord of the Flies. Or perhaps it means something different to the Professor.

    • 106 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 15:16

 I know. Doesn’t really follow the story too much, does it?

      • 107 Susan P January 24, 2014 at 15:23

That, dear Professor, is probably a good thing. It seems I recall the demise and subsequent cooking of a pig.

      • 108 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 16:21

        A pig?!

      • 109 Susan P January 24, 2014 at 17:33

That’s what they called that one boy, isn’t it?

      • 110 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:21

Is it? I don’t know. I’ve never read the book.

      • 111 Susan P January 25, 2014 at 15:35

        I should have known that….

I read it in college for the class on 20th Century British Literature. It was pretty nasty.

      • 112 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:20

Nick’s read it, and he helped me write the first draft. I think we figured that the book was too…vicious to show in a skit.

      • 113 Susan P January 26, 2014 at 02:00

Yah. It starts out vicious and goes downhill from there.

      • 114 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:49

That’s what I’ve heard. Definitely a book full of dadblamery!

      • 115 Susan P January 27, 2014 at 14:00

        Dadblamery and worse –

      • 116 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 14:19

        Makes the professor shudder.

      • 117 Susan P January 27, 2014 at 17:15

I was a bit surprised and shocked myself when I read it oh so many years ago. .

      • 118 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 18:11

The professor must read it. You’re tempting me to do so!

      • 119 Susan P January 27, 2014 at 18:59

It’s not a fun book – kind of the worst of humanity. It hurts to read it.

      • 120 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 20:17

If only the professor had been there, too.

      • 121 Susan P January 27, 2014 at 22:09

With your katana, I suppose. I somehow doubt that it would have changed anything.

      • 122 Professor VJ Duke January 28, 2014 at 14:16

Well–I would have sliced and sliced and sliced…

      • 123 Susan P January 28, 2014 at 14:51

That sounds like it came from an infomercial. :)

      • 124 Professor VJ Duke January 28, 2014 at 18:16

        Maybe it did!

      • 125 Susan P January 28, 2014 at 20:11

        Why would you do that?

  19. 126 Brenda January 24, 2014 at 15:00

    Oh, coconuts!

    • 127 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 15:16

      Don’t you just love them?

      • 128 Brenda January 24, 2014 at 15:56

Mmm, so many good things to do with coconuts. That Daddy Salami gets himself in trouble, doesn’t he?

      • 129 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 16:25

        True.

He sure does. What do you think of his and Drake’s relationship?

      • 130 Brenda January 24, 2014 at 16:56

Drake seems like a bad dude, and maybe Salami’s in over his head.

      • 131 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:18

I think he might be. But the professor really thinks Drake could be all show, too.

      • 132 Brenda January 25, 2014 at 01:47

        Hmm, time will tell. :-)

      • 133 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:09

        Righto!

  20. 134 Susan P January 24, 2014 at 14:58

    Look for…?

    • 135 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 15:16

      For what?

      • 136 Susan P January 24, 2014 at 15:22

        There’s a what missing?

      • 137 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 16:20

The professor is hopelessly lost, I fear.

      • 138 Susan P January 24, 2014 at 17:33

I’ll send DS in to help you find yourself. ;)

      • 139 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:21

That’ll get bad in a hurry.

      • 140 Susan P January 25, 2014 at 15:34

I think it might be interesting – of course you would be carrying your katana.

      • 141 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:19

        Yes, I would be!

      • 142 Susan P January 26, 2014 at 01:59

        There you are then. :)

      • 143 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:49

        :D

      • 144 Susan P January 27, 2014 at 13:59

        :D

      • 145 Bethy January 24, 2014 at 19:24

You said, “The professor is curious…did you look?” Look at what? I confess I’m confused also, but maybe that’s the point?

      • 146 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:32

I’ve been messing this up all day. I meant at the page that says Don’t Look.

      • 147 Bethy January 26, 2014 at 20:26

        NOW I see!

      • 148 Professor VJ Duke January 27, 2014 at 13:56

        :D

  21. 149 Brooke Thompson January 24, 2014 at 14:57

    Friday giggles! Love it!

    • 150 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 15:15

Many thanks from the professor! Who was your favorite character? You must have one, dadblameit!

      • 151 Brooke Thompson January 24, 2014 at 15:20

Fats Henry. I like his “know it all” attitude, he’s kinda like me :) I know everything, but I’m still likable. LOL.

      • 152 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 16:18

 You know, you’re the first that really liked him!

      • 153 Brooke Thompson January 24, 2014 at 16:23

I always root for the underdog!! I just fell in love with his reaction to drinking the sea water. It sounds like me! I just had this conversation with someone the other day. I was like “DONT DRINK THE SEA WATER!”

      • 154 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 16:27

And they refuse to listen to reason, don’t they?

      • 155 Brooke Thompson January 24, 2014 at 16:30

Why, of course! But Fats and I know what’s up.

      • 156 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:14

Maybe you could help the professor know what’s up? Sometimes I get dull, you know.

      • 157 Brooke Thompson January 25, 2014 at 13:24

        Absolutely!!

      • 158 Professor VJ Duke January 25, 2014 at 23:14

        :D

  22. 159 portergirl January 24, 2014 at 14:40

Haha! Absolutely super! Arthur is fantastic. Everyone is fantastic, but Arthur especially so :)

    • 160 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 15:08

Thank you, Lucy! Do you like Art? :)

      • 161 portergirl January 24, 2014 at 15:13

        I do indeed! :)

      • 162 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 15:18

        I think he’s sensible.

      • 163 portergirl January 24, 2014 at 15:19

He has a down to earth practicality that I cannot help but admire

      • 164 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 16:16

Absolutely. He does tend to be a bit bossy and grumpy at times, though.

      • 165 portergirl January 24, 2014 at 16:19

I don’t mind that, I’m used to it. I would just ignore him at those times!

      • 166 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 16:27

Even if he tried to have you thrown in the dungeon?

      • 167 portergirl January 24, 2014 at 16:36

Oh dear! Well, he could certainly try to throw me in the dungeon. If that happened, I might run away. Or fight back. Or hide!

      • 168 Professor VJ Duke January 24, 2014 at 22:15

Or you could call the Dean…
