The Punchies—Punchy Murdoch’s Dentures

The Punchies are the reason the Punchy Lands is Punchy. They live deep in a cave in North Africa. Their discussions are very enlightening—especially when they’re having speaks about Kirk’s alleged father, Punchy Murdoch.

It is said that Punchy Murdoch and Kirk look exactly the same—except for Punchy Murdoch’s long white beard which reaches close to his ankles.

Some Punchy Landers have drawn specific conclusions from the fact that Punchy Murdoch and Kirk have never been seen together. But rumors are a nasty business, and should be avoided. I’ll leave you to come to your own conclusions on the matter.

However, Punchy Murdoch does afford Kirk his authority over the other Punchies. Without that authority, some Punchies (no names mentioned here) might revolt.

***

Three of the Punchies—Kirk, Arnold, and Mitchum—were sitting around The Big Oak Table, drinking a Punchy favorite: Cups of Blueberry Jam. (The professor might not recommend it.)

“Hey, Kirk,” Arnold said suddenly. “Does Punchy Murdoch have dentures?”

Extreme silence.

You see, Punchy Murdoch is revered by the Punchies—even though they’ve never seen him. Some believe it’s a fabrication of Kirk’s mind used to get the other Punchies to obey him without question.

Kirk seemed flabbergasted. “Dentures, Mr. Arnak?”

“Yeah,” Arnold said. “Dentures. Mitchum said he did.”

Kirk swiveled his gaze towards Mitchum, who smirked.

Mitchum is always undermining Kirk’s authority. In truth, this is true.

“Why’d you say that, Mr. Blue?” Kirk asked—almost angrily.

“Because,” Mitchum replied, “we’ve never seen him, so I don’t know whether he has them or not.”

“I’ve told you,” Kirk explained. “I’m the only one that can see Punchy Murdoch, ‘cause that’s the way it is, my dears.”

“So until I see him, he’ll have dentures in my opinion,” Mitchum concluded.

“Oh my,” Arnold said.

Kirk turned savagely on Mitchum again. “Do I have dentures?”

“No,” both Mitchum and Arnold answered.

“Then,” Kirk continued, “assume Punchy Murdoch doesn’t either. Me and my father—we share the same teeth.”

“What a coincidence,” Mitchum mumbled.

    That was odd. :-P

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke August 13, 2014 at 13:07

Yes, they’re the five things that define the land. I need to do more posts about them.

      • 3 erinkenobi2893 August 13, 2014 at 19:34

        ^_^

  2. 4 Hazy February 13, 2014 at 05:48

“Me and my father—we share the same teeth.” — That sounded a bit… suspicious (and a little gross  )

I wonder what other opinions Mitchum has on Murdoch. I think they’d be interesting opinions, based on the dentures idea.

    • 5 Professor VJ Duke February 13, 2014 at 14:49

 I think he meant–overall–that their teeth are similar… It didn’t come across the way he had anticipated…

      I do think you’re right.

      • 6 Hazy February 23, 2014 at 04:46

  3. 7 bardictale February 8, 2014 at 16:39

Blueberry jam? Yum. You can’t get it here. Can I come and visit?
The same teeth? Do they take turns wearing them?

    • 8 Professor VJ Duke February 9, 2014 at 19:35

Sure! Where do you live, Bard?

I think Kirk was basically saying that he is Punchy Murdoch. What do you think?

      • 9 bardictale February 9, 2014 at 19:37

In Silver Village, of course. Where else would I live?

Perhaps. But then we have a problem- how can a man be both a father and a son to himself in any one lifetime?

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke February 9, 2014 at 19:43

 Come on, Bard! Be upright and honest with this professor!

Maybe he’s just trying to fool the other Punchies into listening to him?

      • 11 bardictale February 9, 2014 at 19:51

I live by the coast, yet far from an ocean.
My sun sets on the sea no matter where I am
My village is small; by your standards, but large by mine,
And berries from a bush are rare as gems.

Possible. But then he’s not worthy to be listened to, is he, if he has to fool the Punchies?

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 16:59

 Awesome rhyme. But…can’t you give me more of a gooder answer?

I don’t think so, but the other Punchies seem convinced.

      • 13 bardictale February 10, 2014 at 19:51

I’m a bard. What kind of answer were you expecting?

If they’re happy, there’s no reason to worry. A mystery is always good for the soul, I say!

      • 14 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 20:10

It was beautiful too. (Bard, I think my comment on your blog was caught and put into spam. Having a few difficulties over here.)

        I agree!

      • 15 bardictale February 10, 2014 at 20:19

Thank you, sir (That would be a tragedy! I shall check).

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 23:08

        Thank you!

  4. 17 Jackie February 7, 2014 at 14:46

Curiouser and curiouser! What punchalicious intrigue and dadblamery.

I want to apologize – I have fallen behind on my blog reading. I’m trying to catch up but it seems to be a futile task at the moment. *sigh*

    • 18 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 16:01

 You put it so well, Jackie!

Don’t worry about it! Read the PL when you have time. And start anywhere you want. If you have to miss awhile, no problem. :D

      • 19 Jackie February 7, 2014 at 16:05

Your awesome, professor! Thanks for being so understanding. 8-)

      • 20 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 16:11

No problem! (I still have that lovely bullthistle [hope i spelled it right] that I downloaded from you great blog. Love looking at it. :) )

  5. 21 wizelda February 7, 2014 at 03:30

You visited my blog and told me to turn on my punchyish nature. Came here to understand what that meant. I still don’t get it. What’s it all about? I found your posts funny, but it is so weird. Explain, please?

    • 22 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 15:56

 Well, if you’re Punchyish, then I suppose you’re kind of from the PL. Does that make sense? (Ask any questions you may have.)

      • 23 wizelda February 7, 2014 at 16:27

I don’t know if it makes sense, but I’m gonna stick around for a while – maybe I’ll figure it out… :D

      • 24 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 21:01

You will eventually. That’s what I’m told. After some time, everything becomes clearer. Punchy clear, that is.

  6. 25 The Dancing Rider February 6, 2014 at 21:06

Ugh, I gagged right away at “Cups of Blueberry Jam”. Gag.

Uh, if Kirk had dentures, they might have been stained by that dadblamed jam…..

Still wondering if there is actually a Punchy Murdoch. We know there is a Kirk. ;-)

    • 26 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 21:27

      I gagged at sharing dentures.

      • 27 The Dancing Rider February 7, 2014 at 14:07

Oh right, that too. Though I suspect there is no Punchy Murdoch….

      • 28 Susan P February 7, 2014 at 18:54

        It sounds good, though.

    • 29 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:10

Don’t you like Blueberry Jam, DR?

      What an awful thought!

My guess is no. Kirk just uses it as a front.

      • 30 The Dancing Rider February 7, 2014 at 14:07

Of course I like both blueberries and blueberry jam.

The idea of drinking it, though, just makes me gag!

      • 31 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 16:00

 The professor must agree. A complete Punchy thing, you see. (Rhyming today.)

  7. 32 walt walker February 6, 2014 at 17:42

It would seem that actual teeth being shared here, not dentures. Either Kirk has outed his own untruth or he is his own father.

    • 33 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 17:50

You know, the professor thinks it could be the latter. What do you think?

  8. 34 Tonia February 6, 2014 at 17:12

in punchyland one can eat anything with dentures just as easily as with teeth..esp that blueberry jam punch. i really like that culinary concept. i might try that recipe. :)…might try adding some champagne to it and get ta feelin really ponchy! :)

    • 35 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 17:50

 Then you must take a picture of it and send me the recipe! Do you think it would be tasty?

      • 36 Tonia February 6, 2014 at 17:51

        absolutely yummmee! :)

      • 37 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 20:16

It sounds like it could be tasty!

  9. 38 Painting Pundit February 6, 2014 at 17:03

Has anybody tested that beard to see if its real? A beard that reaches all the way to the floor is suspect, in my opinion.

    • 39 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 17:49

Interesting you should bring that up. Many in the PL believe it’s fake, like Lucini Pavarinni and MM. Do you think Kirk and Punchy Murdoch are the same?

    • 40 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 21:27

Either that or they live in Louisiana.

      • 41 Painting Pundit February 6, 2014 at 21:56

Since Tennessee is very close to Louisiana, a sister state if you will, we don’t have any real beards that long around here, I feel safe in saying. If we did, that one would be an instant folk hero! Therefore, the beard is suspect!! If it is real, send him down. We’ll make him rich!

      • 42 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 22:11

Laughing. I was thinking of Duck Dynasty.

      • 43 Painting Pundit February 6, 2014 at 22:15

        Example in point!

      • 44 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 22:36

:D I live in a similar part of the world in FL.

      • 45 Painting Pundit February 6, 2014 at 22:29

        We love the Duck guys!

      • 46 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 22:36

        :)

      • 47 Jazzy Couldren February 6, 2014 at 22:52

        I’s think they’s kinda manly.

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:25

I think the professor is like Si/Jason Bourne/Vin Diesel.

      • 49 Susan P February 7, 2014 at 01:25

        :D

      • 50 Jazzy Couldren February 7, 2014 at 01:37

That’s kind of scary little dude…

      • 51 Susan P February 7, 2014 at 01:42

        :D

      • 52 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:51

        Why?

      • 53 Jazzy Couldren February 7, 2014 at 18:12

      • 54 Susan P February 7, 2014 at 18:48

        :)

  10. 55 FictionFan February 6, 2014 at 15:18

Mitchum makes a very valid point. You see, that’s exactly how I feel about the Professor! Until I see him, I can imagine him looking any way I like…usually I imagine him as cute and adorable (which I’m sure he is), but today I think I’ll imagine him as having dentures too… (though I do hope he doesn’t share his dentures with anyone – yucketh!)

    • 56 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 17:43

The professor, luckily, weareth not dentures. Nor would I share them if I did. Couldn’t the same thing be said of you, FEF?

Do you think Kirk is Punchy Murdoch?

      • 57 FictionFan February 6, 2014 at 18:08

I do wear dentures. But not in my mouth. I wear them on a ribbon round my neck as a fashion statement.

I suseoct he might be…in much the same way as I think Mic is…well…someone else…

      • 58 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 20:18

 Do you? I’ve just got this hilarious picture in mind now.

        Who’s Mic?

      • 59 FictionFan February 6, 2014 at 22:57

They go rather well with the chicken bones I wear as earrings.

        Professor Mic McDuke.

      • 60 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:26

  I didn’t know there were tribalistic…ladies…in Scotland!

      • 61 FictionFan February 7, 2014 at 15:10

(There’s that hesitation before ‘ladies’ again…worrying!) Yes, we get together under the full moon on Burns Night and perform the traditional Dance of the Haggis.

Oh no! Have I made you and Mic both cry? You know, you really do look very like each other.

      • 62 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 16:04

        Well, can a tribalistic lady be a lady? Hmm…what a thingy…

 They were two professorish faces!

      • 63 FictionFan February 6, 2014 at 18:10

PS That word was supposed to be suspect – either my fingers or my brain went wonky for a moment there!

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 20:18

Which one do you think it is?

      • 65 FictionFan February 6, 2014 at 22:58

Sadly, I fear it may be both…

      • 66 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:26

        You’re suffering from professorishness.

      • 67 FictionFan February 7, 2014 at 15:12

Oh no! You’re right! I woke up this morning to find I was wearing a top hat and cargo pants! Is there any cure??

      • 68 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 16:04

 Yes, take them off before you go to bed.

      • 69 FictionFan February 7, 2014 at 18:34

You mean you don’t sleep in your top hat? What a disappointment! I imagined you had to have a specially shaped professorial pillow…

      • 70 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 21:08

Haha, no. I hate my pillow. I’m going to blog about how horrid it is one day.

      • 71 FictionFan February 7, 2014 at 23:13

What have you done to me?? A few months ago if anyone had said to me they were going to blog about their pillow, I’d have unfollowed faster than a speeding bullet. Now oddly, I’m filled with eager anticipation…

      • 72 Professor VJ Duke February 8, 2014 at 14:55

 Really? I thought the topic rather boring myself. Why would you have unfollowed?

      • 73 FictionFan February 8, 2014 at 17:13

Be honest, now – if you popped into my blog and saw I was discussing my pillow, wouldn’t you be tempted to press that little unfollow button? And rightly so! It takes a special talent to make pillows sound intriguing and entertaining…a Professorial talent! :D

      • 74 Professor VJ Duke February 9, 2014 at 19:36

No…but then, the professor is strange. Okay–maybe I’d think it was a little weird!

 I’d totally turn it into dadblamery.

      • 75 FictionFan February 9, 2014 at 23:38

        Is the Professor strange? I hadn’t noticed… ;)

        You would! Dadblamed dadblamery!

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 17:04

        Me neither.

        :D

    • 77 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 21:25

Sharing dentures is worse than sharing toothbrushes.

      • 78 FictionFan February 6, 2014 at 23:30

Ironic though that the one might have prevented the need for the other…

      • 79 Susan P February 7, 2014 at 01:25

        Alas, yes it might have.

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:31

        I’m lost.

      • 81 FictionFan February 7, 2014 at 15:23

        Poor Prof!

      • 82 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:13

I really didn’t think of it that way. I mean, the professor is quite surprised that’s the way it’s getting viewed.

      • 83 Susan P February 7, 2014 at 01:29

The Professor rolls a boulder down the hill and is amazed at the variety of results.

      • 84 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:46

But it was a little boulder. It’s been added to.

      • 85 Susan P February 8, 2014 at 15:32

        :D

  11. 86 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister February 6, 2014 at 15:11

What in the world…I obviously need to reread this. This is fantastic…

    • 87 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 17:41

Audith, if you need any answers, just let me know. The professor should have introduced these fellows long ago.

      • 88 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 21:22

I had a post and lost it. Like Lucy and her Locket. Where is Kitty Fisher?

      • 89 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:10

What do you mean, Miss Susan? A post?

      • 90 Susan P February 7, 2014 at 01:26

More like a reply to a reply. I was chasing rabbits.

      • 91 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:45

        Use a gun. :D

      • 92 Susan P February 8, 2014 at 15:35

Beatrix Potter is going to rise up out of her grave if I chase bunnies with a gun.

      • 93 Professor VJ Duke February 9, 2014 at 19:34

        Who’s she?

      • 94 Susan P February 9, 2014 at 20:03

        Wrote Peter Rabbit.

      • 95 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 17:02

        Never heard of it.

      • 96 Susan P February 10, 2014 at 17:21

        No way.

      • 97 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 19:56

        I’m afraid so.

      • 98 Susan P February 10, 2014 at 21:10

        Tsk tsk

      • 99 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 23:09

        :P

      • 100 Susan P February 11, 2014 at 12:26

        :D

      • 101 Susan P February 7, 2014 at 01:26

Miss Susan? Are you going all southern on me?

      • 102 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:45

Oh no. Not on purpose. The professor is the northern type, you know.

      • 103 Susan P February 8, 2014 at 15:34

What’s wrong with being the southern type?

      • 104 Professor VJ Duke February 9, 2014 at 19:34

It wouldn’t be professorish, that’s why I couldn’t do it.

      • 105 Susan P February 9, 2014 at 20:03

Are you saying that General Lee was not a scholar?

      • 106 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 17:02

But isn’t professorish and scholarish different?

      • 107 Susan P February 10, 2014 at 17:21

Generally they inhabit the same atmosphere.

      • 108 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 19:56

But the professor isn’t scholar-like at all.

      • 109 Susan P February 10, 2014 at 21:10

        Hmmm..

      • 110 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 23:09

        That’s right.

      • 111 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 21:23

Yes, you should have. What does FEF’s Mic mean?

      • 112 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:12

I think FEF is referring to Mic Pencilpoint. She’s under the delusion that Mr. Pencilpoint and the professor are one in the same.

      • 113 Susan P February 7, 2014 at 01:28

Hello! That part I already knew AND am in agreement with her. Ditto MM.

      • 114 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:45

What?! You can’t be, can you???

      • 115 Susan P February 8, 2014 at 15:33

I would not be surprised if she had insider information. The PL is full of intrigue and monkey capers.

      • 116 Professor VJ Duke February 9, 2014 at 19:34

        The professor IS a monkey.

      • 117 Susan P February 9, 2014 at 20:02

If he says so, it must be true. :D

      • 118 Professor VJ Duke February 10, 2014 at 17:02

        :D Partly true…

      • 119 Susan P February 10, 2014 at 17:20

        :D

      • 120 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister February 6, 2014 at 22:30

 I’m really starting to think you agree that I need help sorting your PL, Duketh.

I think I’m up to speed but will allow you to continue with the chivalry. Tis sweet. ;)

We all know a beard that long cannot be trusted. Kirk is a up to something, as would anyone who agrees to share teeth. Maybe he ate his father. Growdie!! Mostly I want to know why Arty is having speaks with him, but I’m sure we will find out soon enough. :) Whose the other guy again…he seems to be written slightly disposable. .true? Is he the one who dies first in the horror movie? IDK… ;)

      • 121 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:24

 No! I didn’t mean that. Just here to help whenever.

And the professor is sweet. :)

Growdie! A beautiful word, Audith! I don’t think they share teeth. The professor personally believes that Kirk and Murdoch are one in the same. Kirk just uses that to gain power. But that’s a silly professor’s opinion.

Mitchum? Soon you’ll get to know the Punchies well, I hope.

      • 122 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister February 7, 2014 at 05:33

        ;) I know.

        Yes, tis true.

Thank you, Duke. Growdie is a favorite of mine. Thanks for clearing that up, professor. I don’t see any silly professors.

        Oh I have no doubt!!

      • 123 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 15:58

It’s a great saying. I might steal it.

        That’s good, I think.

      • 124 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister February 7, 2014 at 16:46

        You can have it. :)

        Yes

      • 125 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 21:03

Many thanks! (And the professor does a professorish bow.)

      • 126 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister February 6, 2014 at 23:11

Oops..I read all of that as Auther…nice. My goodness. Arnold…duh Audrey. I sealed my fate. LOL (That is what I get for pulling an all nighter. Its sorted. Please disregard me. Full stop.)

      • 127 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:30

   Audith, you’re so funny! I could see what that might happen.

      • 128 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister February 7, 2014 at 05:35

I’m so glad I amuse you, Duketh. Getting home this late from book club isn’t helping matters. If you see a redheaded zombie walking the freeway in the morning. Kindly pick me up and take me to work? Thank you.

      • 129 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 15:59

 I will, but…the professor is ready for the zombie apocalypse.

      • 130 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister February 7, 2014 at 16:48

        Good

      • 131 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 21:03

        :D

  12. 132 ladycheetah7 February 6, 2014 at 14:54

Sounds like a retirement home conversation. Sharing dentures? Ugh! Totally grosstastic.

    • 133 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 17:41

 Do you think Kirk and Punchy Murdoch are one in the same?

      • 134 ladycheetah7 February 6, 2014 at 18:04

No one who shares dentures are one and the same. Albeit it is a disgusting practice.

      • 135 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 20:17

I think that Kirk meant he’s just like his father. Teeth and all.

      • 136 ladycheetah7 February 6, 2014 at 20:19

        O. K.

      • 137 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 20:25

        I hope you mean it.

      • 138 ladycheetah7 February 6, 2014 at 20:26

        Of course.
        O:-)

      • 139 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:08

        That halo…!

    • 140 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 21:24

Now then, Lady, I object to conversations about retirement homes. ;)

      • 141 ladycheetah7 February 6, 2014 at 21:30

Okay. I got slapped on my hand. Lol.

      • 142 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 21:32

LOL. I was my mother’s primary caregiver in her later days. She was intractable and wasn’t about to take any suggestions from me and I ended up having to put her in nursing home for her safety.

      • 143 ladycheetah7 February 6, 2014 at 21:37

Just like my aunt. Because she didn’t receive proper care for her diabetic condition, they amputated her foot. Kinda believe she was glad we put her their. She might have thought that we were the problem.

      • 144 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 21:38

It’s always sad when that has to happen. My mom had dementia.

      • 145 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 01:15

The professor should give it a slap, too!

  13. 146 floridaborne February 6, 2014 at 14:48

Are you sure these aren’t people living in a trailer park in Alabama?

    • 147 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 17:38

      Why do you ask?

      • 148 floridaborne February 6, 2014 at 18:27

The beard and conversational topic. :-)

      • 149 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 20:22

 No, it’s just the Punchies, but you do have an interesting point.

    • 150 Susan P February 6, 2014 at 21:25

      Could be Louisiana !

  14. 151 PorterGirl February 6, 2014 at 14:35

Oh my! What a tale, indeed! Who would have thought dentures would cause such a kerfuffle? I do like a story I can get my teeth into ;)

    • 152 Professor VJ Duke February 6, 2014 at 17:37

Haha! Lucy, love the word kerfuffle. Never heard of it before. Do you think Kirk is being upright with the other Punchies?

      • 153 PorterGirl February 7, 2014 at 12:18

Maybe a little, but then I wouldn’t expect anything less! There is something amiss about him and no mistake.

Kerfuffle is quite a good word, isn’t it? Sounds almost Punchy. My Grandmother says it a lot. She also says ‘bugger’ a lot, too.

      • 154 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 16:00

        I think so, too.

They’re great words… But, doesn’t Kerfuffle sound like a food?

      • 155 PorterGirl February 7, 2014 at 16:02

Kind of does. Like, something leafy with beans or something

      • 156 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 16:10

        I still love it!

      • 157 PorterGirl February 7, 2014 at 16:10

Use it often. It is a cheery word

      • 158 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 16:11

        So, it’s not used for…swearing?

      • 159 PorterGirl February 7, 2014 at 16:13

No, no. Bugger is a sort of swear word (a very polite one), but kerfuffle just means a fuss, or ado or something of that nature

      • 160 Professor VJ Duke February 7, 2014 at 20:59

Ah, I see. I think this professor is gong to start using kerfuffle. :)
