cool video. cop cars make me nervous, so better they be in manly man’s hands than some smart ass cop who thinks he’s hot stuff.

You did an outstanding one again! :)

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke March 28, 2014 at 18:26

I agree! Though…MM might not do a good job of keeping the peace..

      Many thanks!

  2. 3 InfiniteZip March 23, 2014 at 15:47

    I looooove purple…..motorcycle is purple…..

    • 4 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:39

      You have a cycle?!

      • 5 InfiniteZip March 24, 2014 at 15:57

Yes sir, Yamaha v Star classic…pretty purple and currently very dusty dirty chrome…..winter time and all….

      • 6 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 19:51

Wowawee! Now that is cool. Will you take a pic?

      • 7 InfiniteZip March 24, 2014 at 21:16

Come summer I will be glad to. If you dig up my post on someday my prince will come, there’s one just like mine:)

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 01:50

I’ll see what I can do. Do you ride often in the summer?

  3. 9 Carpe Absurdum March 23, 2014 at 14:37

High drama in Punchy Land! That one got my heart racing.

    • 10 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:32

      Absolutely! Who was your favorite?

      • 11 Carpe Absurdum March 24, 2014 at 19:07

        Got to love MM.

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 20:02

        He is funny.

  4. 13 Susan P March 22, 2014 at 20:38

Meow thinks they should all watch out for cats.

    • 14 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:31

I agree. Cats are very quick, though.

      • 15 George Bailey March 24, 2014 at 16:51

Meow could teach you how to move quickly and quietly.

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 20:01

The professor is like a ninja already!

  5. 17 Susan P March 22, 2014 at 20:09

Oh my. Gotta love MM’s chutzpa! I’m only disappointed because he didn’t come by and pick me up to go on the ride! He wasn’t speeding in the school zone, was he?

    • 18 Susan P March 22, 2014 at 20:10

And he needs to make sure that unless he’s unloading a car with brake problems he should be aware that there are unmarked police cars.

      • 19 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:17

That’s true. But not even the professor would stop for one!!!

      • 20 Susan P March 24, 2014 at 16:33

        that might be interesting.

      • 21 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 19:52

        And spicy!

      • 22 Susan P March 24, 2014 at 20:19

*hands the professor a basket of habaneros* How’s that for spicy?

      • 23 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 01:45

The Professor will eat them all–believe it or not!

      • 24 Susan P March 25, 2014 at 02:36

That will make you truly very hot.

      • 25 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 13:39

Yes, but it would be coolio!

      • 26 Susan P March 25, 2014 at 22:06

        It’s cool to be hot?

      • 27 Professor VJ Duke March 26, 2014 at 00:22

*laughing* I knew you’d call me out on that!

      • 28 Susan P March 26, 2014 at 11:04

Well, I didn’t want to disappoint.

      • 29 Professor VJ Duke March 26, 2014 at 18:24

It was still dadblamery of you!

      • 30 Susan P March 26, 2014 at 19:25

        I learned from the Professor.

      • 31 Professor VJ Duke March 27, 2014 at 14:04

        I’m such a bad influence.

      • 32 Susan P March 27, 2014 at 19:58

The first step is realizing that you have a problem.

      • 33 Professor VJ Duke March 27, 2014 at 23:53

        But I like it!

      • 34 Susan P March 28, 2014 at 11:57

That’s all well and good until it gets in charge.

      • 35 Professor VJ Duke March 28, 2014 at 18:49

        Hmm…I suppose, yes.

      • 36 Susan P March 28, 2014 at 19:50

Well? What are you going to do about it?

      • 37 Professor VJ Duke March 28, 2014 at 22:32

        Let it take over?

      • 38 Susan P March 29, 2014 at 13:06

Do you think that is a good idea?

      • 39 Professor VJ Duke March 31, 2014 at 12:23

Hmm…yes! *hoping he answered right and hoping he gets the squinty eye look*

      • 40 Susan P March 31, 2014 at 13:51

        Erm…

      • 41 Professor VJ Duke March 31, 2014 at 20:30

        Yes? What mean this?

      • 42 Susan P March 31, 2014 at 22:31

It meaneth that the professor is stalling.

      • 43 Professor VJ Duke April 1, 2014 at 02:32

        Don’t I always?

      • 44 Susan P April 1, 2014 at 12:44

Is that what you call what you do?

      • 45 Professor VJ Duke April 1, 2014 at 18:24

        What should I call it?

      • 46 Susan P April 1, 2014 at 21:21

        Something that connotes your personality.

      • 47 Professor VJ Duke April 2, 2014 at 12:39

        I’m at a loss now…

      • 48 Susan P April 3, 2014 at 12:29

        That means that you win.

      • 49 Professor VJ Duke April 4, 2014 at 01:29

        I seem to like that…

      • 50 Susan P April 4, 2014 at 13:57

        ;)

    • 51 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:16

Oh, I bet he was! You like driving fast? Every time the professor is on the road he wishes he could speed. Don’t you feel bad for Marlin?

      • 52 Susan P March 24, 2014 at 16:09

I don’t know if I feel bad for Marlin. I’ve been pulled over twice. Once was my fault. The other time it was because a friend I was following was going 40 mph in a 20 mph school zone. Mind, those were the times I got caught. But I can feel bad for Marlin if he’s related to Dean the Fish.

      • 53 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 19:51

Why? Don’t you like Mr. Fish?

      • 54 Susan P March 24, 2014 at 20:17

Of course I like Mr. Fish. That’s why I wrote that.

      • 55 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 01:45

Mr. Fish is a busy man.

      • 56 Susan P March 25, 2014 at 02:38

No kidding, Sherlock. First of all he’s got to keep all the rest of you out of trouble. Do you have ANY idea how much time out of his day he spends doing that?

      • 57 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 13:39

lol Do you think the professor gets into trouble?

      • 58 Susan P March 25, 2014 at 22:08

        I’m quite certain of it.

      • 59 Professor VJ Duke March 26, 2014 at 00:23

Yes, me too. Trouble follows me.

      • 60 Susan P March 26, 2014 at 11:05

From your stats, quite a few troubles follow you.

      • 61 Professor VJ Duke March 26, 2014 at 18:25

Yes, yes… *laughing* Who would say?

      • 62 Susan P March 26, 2014 at 19:26

        grinning

      • 63 Susan P March 24, 2014 at 16:33

But oh that 8 cylinder I had back in the 90s…

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 19:51

        I hope it was red.

      • 65 Susan P March 24, 2014 at 20:18

No, it was the color of homemade vanilla ice cream. But it could move out of the intersection before anyone else even got in gear. Of course, the problem was that it needed leaded gas.

      • 66 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 01:45

Hmm…well, speed is all that matters!

      • 67 Susan P March 25, 2014 at 02:37

I just loved seeing the teenage boys’ mouths drop when I was a block ahead of them.

      • 68 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 13:39

That was wicked of you. Very wicked indeed!

      • 69 Susan P March 25, 2014 at 22:07

They challenged me. What could I do? Who can sit still when the driver of the car next to her looks at her and revs his engine?

      • 70 Professor VJ Duke March 26, 2014 at 00:22

        Haha! And you won?

      • 71 Susan P March 26, 2014 at 11:04

Without breaking a sweat. A new car with four cylinders hasn’t got a chance against an old car with 8.

      • 72 Professor VJ Duke March 26, 2014 at 18:25

Man do I wish I was in that car with you that day!

      • 73 Susan P March 26, 2014 at 19:26

Hah! You’d better believe that Harry wasn’t in it that day – though he has a pretty heavy foot….

      • 74 Professor VJ Duke March 27, 2014 at 14:05

I’m sure he’d have liked to!

      • 75 Susan P March 27, 2014 at 19:59

Trust me, if he’d been there I wouldn’t have been driving.

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke March 27, 2014 at 23:53

I understand that, for sure! I would have sat in the back seat and watched.

      • 77 Susan P March 28, 2014 at 11:58

How would you watch with your hands over your eyes?

      • 78 Professor VJ Duke March 28, 2014 at 18:50

I wouldn’t have my hands on my eyes!

      • 79 Susan P March 28, 2014 at 19:51

Two humphs, six rats and five heifers.

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke March 28, 2014 at 22:32

Haha! Very well done. But you forgot the professor.

      • 81 Susan P March 29, 2014 at 13:06

I’ll never forget the Professor. Who is he again?

      • 82 Professor VJ Duke March 31, 2014 at 12:23

        VJ Duke!

      • 83 Susan P March 31, 2014 at 13:51

never heard of him. I don’t think I have. Maybe once…

      • 84 Professor VJ Duke March 31, 2014 at 20:31

        But isn’t that me?

      • 85 Susan P March 31, 2014 at 22:32

Are you sure it is you?

      • 86 Professor VJ Duke April 1, 2014 at 02:32

        Yes, I think so!

      • 87 Susan P April 1, 2014 at 12:46

Rumor has it that you are The Sausage Keeper.

      • 88 Professor VJ Duke April 1, 2014 at 18:24

        The professor? Nah!

      • 89 Susan P April 1, 2014 at 21:21

Well, you should check in with MM.

      • 90 Professor VJ Duke April 2, 2014 at 12:39

I try to avoid him, you know.

      • 91 Susan P April 3, 2014 at 12:30

Are you worried he might call you honeybutts?

      • 92 Professor VJ Duke April 4, 2014 at 01:29

        Yes. Isn’t it demeaning?

      • 93 Susan P April 4, 2014 at 13:57

        I think it’s affectionate.

      • 94 Professor VJ Duke April 4, 2014 at 18:37

I don’t think MM would like that.

      • 95 Susan P April 4, 2014 at 20:37

Since when do you worry about what MM likes?

      • 96 Professor VJ Duke April 7, 2014 at 13:11

        Since…you ask hard questions!

      • 97 Susan P April 7, 2014 at 17:35

It’s a tough job, but someone has to do it. ;)

      • 98 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:35

        Yes…Well you’re good at it.

      • 99 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 12:08

        It’s a teacher thing, I think.

      • 100 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:06

It must be…but it should be a professor thing then…

      • 101 Susan P April 9, 2014 at 18:03

        Well, isn’t it?

      • 102 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:52

Yes…but not for this type of professor?

      • 103 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 17:07

Perfessers is perfessers no matter what.

      • 104 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:08

        Haven’t I redefined it somewhat?

      • 105 Susan P April 11, 2014 at 15:02

Well, perfessers is still perfessers. Each one may have an original tic.

      • 106 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:52

        Well, dadblamery! I know I couldn’t teach a class.

      • 107 Susan P April 12, 2014 at 14:42

Sure you could. You could teach a class on Dadblamery 101 followed by How To Be Punchalicious 201 and finish up with Rats and a Heifer 301 and Two and Five Gurgles 401. Think of the possibilities…

      • 108 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:04

*laughing lots* But, I do wonder if anybody would sign up. It would be fun, though!

      • 109 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 14:25

Kinda looks like they already have signed up. *wink*

      • 110 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:22

*laughing lots* How are my ratings?

      • 111 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 20:40

        Better than say, CSI.

      • 112 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:11

Do they have good or bad ones?

      • 113 Susan P April 15, 2014 at 20:46

        I haven’t gone there.

      • 114 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 01:00

        What is it exactly?

      • 115 Susan P April 17, 2014 at 20:08

        What is what?

      • 116 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 16:01

        CSI.

      • 117 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 16:39

Well, it purports to be a crime show.

      • 118 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:06

I’ve never seen it. Person of Interest is good. Btw, Bethy thinks I’m between 30-70.

      • 119 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 17:10

I don’t know what to say about what Bethy thinks. LOL I think you could be.

      • 120 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:44

Well, then I asked her what you think. Which was wicked. Bethy told me it was. So I’m confessing right now.

      • 121 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:05

        What’s to confess? Huh?

        No partner in crime there.

      • 122 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 18:07

Well, I was going about things devilishly.

      • 123 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:20

        This is news?

      • 124 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 12:52

        I suppose not. *smiles*

      • 125 Susan P April 21, 2014 at 14:24

        *sigh*

      • 126 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 20:53

        It’s Bethy’s fault, I think.

      • 127 Susan P April 23, 2014 at 00:00

I have it on good authority that Bethy is busier than a one-armed paper hanger with the seven year itch.

      • 128 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 00:50

Now that is a saying. And then there’s the Princess who probably is a handful.

      • 129 Susan P April 23, 2014 at 17:41

        All of the above.

      • 130 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 19:00

        Haha, I see.

      • 131 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 00:07

You see? Are you wearing spectacles?

      • 132 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 13:05

        No. Should I be?

      • 133 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 14:56

George is a professor and he wears spectacles.

      • 134 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:11

        I know. What’s he teach?

      • 135 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 18:42

His best class is how to get his people wrapped around his little dew claw.

      • 136 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:52

        Cats don’t have those!

      • 137 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 18:58

George says that you have been the victim of misinformation.

      • 138 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 19:02

Tell George that always happens to me.

      • 139 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 19:15

More like you are the dispenser of misinformation.

      • 140 Professor VJ Duke April 26, 2014 at 15:46

I’m better than GW, ’cause I can tell a lie, you know.

      • 141 Susan P April 26, 2014 at 16:03

There was a time when people thought fiction was the same as lying. How do YOU discern between them?

      • 142 Professor VJ Duke April 26, 2014 at 16:17

        I don’t. Should I?

      • 143 Susan P April 26, 2014 at 19:32

Well, there is truth, and then there is truth. Fiction can be just as true as true, but it’s just delivered by the underground railway so to speak. Sometimes the truth delivered by fiction is more effective.

And then the other kind of truth can also lie.

That’s my story, and I’m sticking with it.

      • 144 Professor VJ Duke April 27, 2014 at 18:59

I’ll stick with it, too. Susan’s a wise lady.

      • 145 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 14:07

Susan has much experience with people, but she loves them anyway.

      • 146 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 15:16

Yes, me too. But I need more experience.

      • 147 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 16:23

        BG

      • 148 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 18:07

        Who was your partner, btw?

      • 149 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:21

I told you. That person does not wish to be divulged. Really. And if that person does one day step up on his or her own, I may speak. Pinky promise.

      • 150 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 12:53

How does one step up on his or her own?

      • 151 Susan P April 21, 2014 at 14:24

        One confesses on one’s own.

      • 152 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 20:53

Rats. I need to think about how to get that to happen.

      • 153 Susan P April 22, 2014 at 23:50

        I think that takes two…

      • 154 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 00:47

        Huff-Hum to you!

      • 155 Susan P April 23, 2014 at 17:33

        :P

      • 156 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 18:55

        A tongue!

      • 157 Susan P April 24, 2014 at 23:57

So ’tis. And your point is…?

      • 158 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 13:01

        You’re mocking the professor!

      • 159 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 14:51

        Nuh-uh.

      • 160 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:07

        I’m gardoobled now.

      • 161 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 18:31

        I wasn’t mocking the Professor.

      • 162 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:48

        Everyone does, you know.

      • 163 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 18:53

        If so, only in fun.

      • 164 Susan P April 21, 2014 at 14:25

If you come up with any suitable suspicions, I will tell you if you are right.

      • 165 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 20:54

You mean, if I guess and get it right you’ll tell me?

      • 166 Susan P April 23, 2014 at 00:01

        Sort of something like that.

      • 167 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 00:51

        Is it someone I know?

      • 168 Susan P April 23, 2014 at 17:45

Now then. That is a question, not a proper possible discovery. The deal was you guess a person, I tell you yes or no. :)

      • 169 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 19:00

        Okay, then…the Lady?

      • 170 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 00:08

        Which lady?

      • 171 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 13:05

Lady Cheetah is the Lady, you know.

      • 172 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 14:57

There are a lot of ladies that visit your blog.

      • 173 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:12

There are! What do you make of it?

      • 174 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 18:43

Well, speaking only for myself, I come because the Professor is fun and punchy.

      • 175 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:52

Aw, that’s sweet of you. You must teach me how to do that sort of thing.

      • 176 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 18:59

        Do what?

      • 177 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 19:03

Be sweet like you just were.

      • 178 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 19:16

        But you are sweet already.

      • 179 Professor VJ Duke April 26, 2014 at 15:46

        Hmm…

      • 180 Susan P April 26, 2014 at 16:04

Especially when you’ve been rummaging in the fridge for maraschino cherries.

      • 181 Professor VJ Duke April 26, 2014 at 16:17

How’d you know about that? *shock*

      • 182 Susan P April 26, 2014 at 19:33

Didn’t you tell me? And if you didn’t, who did?

      • 183 Professor VJ Duke April 27, 2014 at 19:00

        Your apprentice?

      • 184 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 14:08

My apprentice is busy halfway around the world working on a project for me.

      • 185 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 15:17

        What sort of project?

      • 186 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 16:31

Since you seem to know her, I thought you would know about the project.

      • 187 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 19:15

        Who is she?

      • 188 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 19:40

I don’t think you know her. Her name is Gladiola.

      • 189 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 19:44

That’s an awesome name, you know.

      • 190 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 19:48

Is there someone named that in the PL?

      • 191 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 20:05

        Not that I know, no.

      • 192 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 20:08

        Maybe she hasn’t arrived yet.

      • 193 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 20:23

Well, the PL is like earth. So it’s possible she’s out there.

      • 194 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 22:14

        Keep an eye out.

      • 195 Professor VJ Duke April 29, 2014 at 17:29

        I shall. Two.

      • 196 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 17:10

        At least on most days….

      • 197 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:45

        Now what’s that mean?

      • 198 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:07

Well, it means that you have skills.

      • 199 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 18:07

I think I want more info there!

      • 200 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:22

What? You don’t know what skills you have?

      • 201 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 12:53

We all know the professor hasn’t any. Maybe organization and bringing things together.

      • 202 Susan P April 21, 2014 at 14:26

At the very least, I would say…

      • 203 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 20:54

I wish I could make candy.

      • 204 Susan P April 23, 2014 at 00:02

        Some candies are very easy.

      • 205 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 00:51

        Like taffy.

      • 206 Susan P April 23, 2014 at 17:45

        More like fudge.

      • 207 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 19:00

Never had too much of that, I think.

      • 208 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 00:08

You can easily overdose on fudge – I have done it personally.

      • 209 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 13:05

        Oh dear. Sounds brutal.

      • 210 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 14:57

        It can be.

      • 211 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:12

I’m overdosing on whoppers right now.

      • 212 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 18:44

Like candy, or like Burger King?

      • 213 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:54

        Hahaha. those candy things.

      • 214 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 19:00

That is probably the better choice.

      • 215 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 19:03

Yeah, I can’t say I’ve had the other. But, robin eggs and whoppers are rather tasty!

      • 216 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 19:17

        Does sugar make you hyper?

      • 217 Professor VJ Duke April 26, 2014 at 15:46

        Nah!

      • 218 Susan P April 26, 2014 at 16:04

        Harumph.

      • 219 Professor VJ Duke April 26, 2014 at 16:18

        That’s right.

      • 220 Susan P April 26, 2014 at 19:34

        You win the brussel sprouts.

      • 221 Professor VJ Duke April 27, 2014 at 19:00

        Can I have jellybeans instead?

      • 222 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 14:09

        Brussel sprout flavored jellybeans?

      • 223 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 15:17

        Yucketh! Double Yucketh!

      • 224 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 16:33

That does sound rather nasty. How about some artisan jelly beans with all cherry flavored?

      • 225 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 19:15

        What’s that artisan part mean?

      • 226 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 19:40

It means they were hand crafted, not machine made.

      • 227 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 19:45

        Oh…never seen ones like that.

      • 228 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 19:48

        Best. Jellybeans. Ever.

      • 229 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 20:05

        I’m missing something then!

      • 230 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 20:09

Yes, you are missing the back of your cap.

      • 231 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 20:23

Now what am I to do?

      • 232 Susan P April 28, 2014 at 22:14

        Good question.

      • 233 Professor VJ Duke April 29, 2014 at 17:34

        Pretend like I’m not.

  6. 234 Jackie March 22, 2014 at 09:47

Loved this! Interesting turn of events. MM and Drake are now partners in crime. How punchalicious! Officer Marlin doesn’t seem very bright. Is he a corrupt cop as well as being dimly lit? I can’t remember if he’s made an appearance before.

    • 235 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:10

No, definitely not corrupt–as of yet. But he was a bit dull. I suppose he trusted MM. I bet he wouldn’t have trusted DS, though. Yes, Marlin has appeared before, but this was his first starring rule.

      • 236 Jackie March 24, 2014 at 14:05

Marlin was swayed by the color purple. Such dadblamery!

      • 237 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 19:37

I think you right: he was swayed. It would be neatio for a car color.

  7. 238 Painting Pundit March 22, 2014 at 02:58

Will Marlin be driving fast in that car?? It could be curtains for him if he doesn’t figure out the brake thing before speeding. Anyone in a purple car will have to speed. Its the only logical thing to do. This may be the end for poor Marlin. Will MM and Drake feel any remorse?

    • 239 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:03

I think Marlin might speed just a bit. He’ll probably keep up some pretenses since he’s an officer of the law. Haha, I agree. The professor would speed in a purple car! I bet Marlin is a good driver, so he’ll probably be fine.

Not at all! I bet they’re not even half sorry! Who do you suppose is the worse of them?

  8. 240 The Dancing Rider March 21, 2014 at 19:53

Loved the racy vehical sound effects. :)

Of course I knew that Manly Man did not have any drugs in the car! Who would bring up such a thing, unless there was a Plan! LOL! Poor Marlin……

    • 241 Professor VJ Duke March 22, 2014 at 01:10

Thanks, DR! MM drives a fancy (loud) purple car!

I feel bad for Marlin too. Do you suppose Drake put MM up to it? Or is it the other way around?

  9. 242 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister March 21, 2014 at 19:41

Haha. I think I need to drive that car. Right noweth!!!!! I think you should take driving lessons from MM and then teach me his secrets. I loved this video. Fast cars=Fun!

The sound effects were so fantastic, Duke. Quality! Well done to the studio.

    • 243 Professor VJ Duke March 22, 2014 at 01:05

The professor agrees! Not sure I’d trust MM, though. DS would be the first. Well, must I?

Many thanks (from the studio, too)

      • 244 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister March 22, 2014 at 03:10

Must you what? Drive a fast car with me? Yes!
        Welcome

      • 245 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:07

        Manuel transmission?

      • 246 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister March 24, 2014 at 15:49

Yep yep yep..wanna? I like all the shifting…keeps my mind busy.

I even learned at 16 to drive a three on the tree…do you know what that is, Duke? My dad had a 67 Chevy truck that his grandfather bought brand new and he obtained after his death. Then it was given to my brother. No one drives it now.

      • 247 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 19:48

I’d love to! You know I would.

The professor knows mostly all, madam! You should drive it? (Wasn’t it in one of your stories once?)

      • 248 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister March 24, 2014 at 21:39

        I’d even take turns!

But not about that…right? I am not sure I could still figure it out. (Tis too special now, I guess.)

      • 249 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 01:58

And that’s quite nice of you. *smiles broader than a broadsword*

Oh, I bet you’d be fine. (Never too special!)

      • 250 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister March 25, 2014 at 03:58

I share well. *wonders how broad that is…pointer finger to her temple*

Maybe..I’m not so sure. (Let’s run it into the ground!! Drive fast, Duke.)

      • 251 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 13:44

lol It’s rather wide. Think crusaders.

lol lol Into the ground? Someone would be unhappy–I’m sure of it!

      • 252 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister March 25, 2014 at 14:19

Crusaders…! I have to block time out for that type of thinking. LOL

Yes! Into the ground…this discussion had me running to the dealership. Oh yeah…probably. *widest grin ever*

      • 253 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 19:43

*laughs* The professor is a crusader…

        *even wider* Let’s do it!

      • 254 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister March 25, 2014 at 20:43

        What are you crusading, Duketh?

Whoo hoo!!!!!! I knew I liked you. *fist pumps the air*

      • 255 Professor VJ Duke March 26, 2014 at 00:12

        Myself!

*fist pump back* Twill be great fun.

      • 256 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister March 26, 2014 at 00:41

        Okay! :)
        *smiles* Yay!!

      • 257 Professor VJ Duke March 26, 2014 at 18:14

        :D Yayeth!

      • 258 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister March 26, 2014 at 23:42

        :)

  10. 259 weggieboy March 21, 2014 at 17:56

I was hoping for a chase scene, with helicopters, but a major crash because of faulty brakes will suffice! You know how we Americans like big fireballs in our stories! Best episode yet, Professor!

    • 260 Professor VJ Duke March 22, 2014 at 00:58

Yes, it’s quite exciting I’d imagine! The Professor certainly likes that sort of thing! Wowawee! Many thanks!

  11. 261 Simply Skeptical March 21, 2014 at 17:33

Laughing loudly!!! Manly Man is a hoot! Poor Marlin a nice unpretentious kind of fella -a slight bit naive, but hey. I had to use my thinkin cap for this one: At first I thought bad trade until it was discovered that the pretty & fast purple car had faulty brakes. Oh, poor Marlin…..

    • 262 Professor VJ Duke March 21, 2014 at 17:38

He might die, you know. I hope not. But at least MM will go to his funeral. Which is nice, don’t you think?

      • 263 Simply Skeptical March 21, 2014 at 17:49

I sure hope not. Marlin’s a funny one! He really got me giggling…. MM’s always a LOL….Love this!!!

      • 264 Professor VJ Duke March 22, 2014 at 00:57

        Many thanks!

  12. 265 Amy Pinkrose March 21, 2014 at 17:32

O-O-O-O I’m all bug eyed! I just LUV purple. Manly-man I’m fallin’ fast fur!

    • 266 Professor VJ Duke March 21, 2014 at 17:38

Purple is nice. MM? You like MM?!

      • 267 Amy Pinkrose March 21, 2014 at 17:47

Well … someone has to like him. So I shall!

      • 268 Professor VJ Duke March 22, 2014 at 00:56

Now I feel bad for Drake.

      • 269 Amy Pinkrose March 22, 2014 at 01:27

I don’t. Not at all. I just LUV MM. I went from like to LUV. What WAS in my spaghetti?

      • 270 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 12:55

Something deadly? We all know MM is spicy.

      • 271 Amy Pinkrose March 24, 2014 at 15:41

Oh that he is. Hehehehehe I adore him!

      • 272 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 19:44

        Poor professor…

      • 273 Amy Pinkrose March 24, 2014 at 19:51

        Poor Professor, nothing. Poor LadyP!

      • 274 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 20:04

I like your new gravatar–even if you are being mean to me!

      • 275 Jazzy Couldren March 21, 2014 at 19:40

        I’s glad you done like my manliness. :}

      • 276 Professor VJ Duke March 22, 2014 at 01:04

        I didn’t say that!

    • 277 George Bailey March 22, 2014 at 20:41

What kind of fur? Meow fur is pretty…

      • 278 Amy Pinkrose March 22, 2014 at 22:15

Ah, gee. I have so much meow fur it aint even funny. If only you knew … LOL

  13. 279 PorterGirl March 21, 2014 at 14:57

So so fabulous – I loved this! Manly Man is very naughty for stealing the police car, but brilliant! I think I would have preferred to keep the purple car, though. Haha – I shall be laughing all afternoon :D

    • 280 Professor VJ Duke March 21, 2014 at 17:36

He is! (And the Professor likes naughty.) But what about the brakes?

      • 281 PorterGirl March 21, 2014 at 20:44

It is good if a car has brakes!

      • 282 Professor VJ Duke March 22, 2014 at 01:12

        But these ones were faulty.

      • 283 PorterGirl March 22, 2014 at 08:49

Sort of adds to the fun :)

      • 284 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:10

        Lucy! You’re such an adventurer!

  14. 285 Shawn Sims Bradford March 21, 2014 at 14:23

Great way to look on the bright side! He ended up with the cool purple car. Thanks for the good laugh this morning! : )

    • 286 Professor VJ Duke March 21, 2014 at 17:35

That’s true, and you’re welcome. I think the Professor would have taken the purple car, too. But the brakes were bad. Do you have a favorite character?

      • 287 Shawn Sims Bradford March 22, 2014 at 19:44

I did like Marlin. Not the brightest, but he did look on the bright side of things. :)

      • 288 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:16

He sure did. I think he trusted MM, too. Like they were good friends.

  15. 289 FictionFan March 21, 2014 at 13:53

*laughing out loud x 3* Exceptionally good, C-W-W! Perfect start to a Friday afternoon! I’m beginning to think Drake has the best evil chuckle of them all (that’s a challenge to the Sausage) – and Marlin’s voice is a joy!! And Manly-Man was very manly!

I have a small complaint though – I think this has been an entirely Schwarzy-free week. Obviously the Professor is so jealous of his c&a-ness that he’s trying to keep him away from the limelight. I may start up a petition and hold a protest march…

    • 290 Professor VJ Duke March 21, 2014 at 17:27

Much better than smiley’s, FEF! *smiling big time* Thanks, FEF. I think I may agree: Drake’s chuckle is rather intimidating! Plus, I think DS is scared of it. Marlin’s voice is a joy?

Really? Wasn’t he mentioned once? I thought for sure…

      • 291 FictionFan March 21, 2014 at 19:20

The Sausage is cheekily evil…but Drake is really smoothly evil – like Alan Rickman. *secretly drooling* Don’t you think Marlin’s voice is a joy? He makes me chuckle as soon as he speaks. But…do the mailmen in the Punchy Lands double as traffic cops then?

No, you did not think so! Wicked jealousy! I shall throw a Becky tantrum if he doesn’t appear next week… *frowning ferociously, but stopping quickly for fear of wrinkles*

      • 292 Professor VJ Duke March 22, 2014 at 01:00

Ooo, I love Alan Rickman. That’s the professor. I think that surprised MM as well. No, he just took up the office for a day. What sort of evil is the professor?

Wrinkles are just a bunch of smiles. I like my thousands of wrinkles. What’s a Becky tantrum like? (The professor would have probably spanked Becky, you know.)

      • 293 FictionFan March 23, 2014 at 15:11

(If the Professor is Alan Rickman, FF might die of happiness.) The Professor is gloriously evil…it must be to do with the way he walks.

Well, you can have all my wrinkles too then – WHEN I get them, that is! It involves screeching, sobbing and possibly foot-stamping. (Perhaps Becky would have spanked the Professor.)

      • 294 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:33

(I didn’t know you liked Alan Rickman! The professor has liked him since I’ve seen him in Robin Hood.) Gloriously evil…now that is nice.

Hmm…Becky just needs reprimanded, that’s all. She could not do such a thing! Could she?

      • 295 FictionFan March 24, 2014 at 15:46

(It’s his voice, mainly…*soppy face* He was great as Professor Snape in the HP movies – my second favourite Professor, in fact.)

        I think perhaps she could…

      • 296 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 19:47

(He played a professor? That’s sorta neat. Who’s your favorite one? That female from HP?)

Your mind is muddled and befuddled!

      • 297 FictionFan March 24, 2014 at 22:29

(Tchah! As if you don’t know who my favourite Professor is, Professor!!)

After several months of Professorial indoctrination, I’m not at all surprised…

      • 298 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 02:03

(I don’t. The Professor suddenly supposes you mean me…and…*blushing face* Better than the HP Professor’s? Wowawee!)

Oh dear. Is my mind that bad?

      • 299 FictionFan March 25, 2014 at 14:19

So modest! Better even than Professor Challenger! Or Professor Moriarty!! Or Professor Digory Kirke!!! I miss the blushing smiley though…

        I plead the fifth…

      • 300 Professor VJ Duke March 25, 2014 at 19:44

I hear that Gronk is modest too… (I shouldn’t have said that.)

        Why?

      • 301 FictionFan March 25, 2014 at 23:05

        No, you shouldn’t! Yucketh!

        Because.

      • 302 Professor VJ Duke March 26, 2014 at 00:28

I was shocked, but he always looked so stupid, so it makes sense.

The Professor doesn’t know what it means!

      • 303 FictionFan March 26, 2014 at 14:51

I wasn’t just shocked, I was gardoobled! Silly man. Edelman’s much cuter anyway.

        But it’s American…

      • 304 Professor VJ Duke March 26, 2014 at 18:35

Edelman is cooler. A bit professorish.

Is it? *laughing* I’m so dull…

      • 305 FictionFan March 26, 2014 at 23:05

Not as gorgeous as the Professor though, obviously. When does the season start?

Are we still talking about taking the fifth amendment? Or has the conversation morphed into something different? *befuddled face*

      • 306 Professor VJ Duke March 27, 2014 at 14:16

Preseason starts in late August. I bet he doesn’t run into trees!

No, we are. You have more knowledge about my government than I do!

      • 307 FictionFan March 27, 2014 at 18:40

Ooh, that’s ages away – but at least it mean it won’t conflict with the tennis. *chuckles* No indeed! I fear poor C-W-W is unique!

That’s because I’m so much younger than you. Well…the Fifth Amendment of the Constitution gives people the right not to answer questions in court if the answer might incriminate them of a crime…I think. So pleading or taking the fifth means roughly ‘You’re quite right, but I’m not going to say so.’ Now wasn’t that the dullest comment ever on your entire blog? *proud face*

      • 308 Professor VJ Duke March 27, 2014 at 23:43

I’d like to watch more tennis. I really love that sport. Let me know when it starts up and who we’re going for. *chuckles* I have a history of dying for balls.

It was not! I loved the comment. I think I have heard that. As you can see, I’m a first class American Citizen. I know the law in and out.

      • 309 FictionFan March 28, 2014 at 02:43

I will! We’ll be supporting Andy on the surface, but secretly we’ll be supporting Rafa too. And if they play each other…ooh! FF will require lots of choccies to cope with that! Andy wears a baseball cap…

Well, that’s probably a good thing – it suggests you’ve never been up before the Grand Jury…

      • 310 Professor VJ Duke March 28, 2014 at 18:38

See? Andy is the man. Now, interestingly enough, I’d probably favor Rafa… Don’t kill me!

But the professor knows a judge–personally.

      • 311 FictionFan March 28, 2014 at 23:37

That’s the problem – me too, and then I’ll feel like I’m betraying Scotland…

Then you can impress him/her with your newfound in-depth knowledge of the Constitution…

      • 312 Professor VJ Duke March 31, 2014 at 11:56

Well…forget about Scotland! Don’t be too nationalistic, FEF…

But we never talk about that sort of thing when we have schnapps…

      • 313 FictionFan March 31, 2014 at 15:56

Hoots, mon! Ye cannae belang tae the brawest wee country i’ the whale warl’ wi’oot bein’ a patriot, ye ken!

Schnapps with a judge? Definitely a top hat occasion…

      • 314 Professor VJ Duke March 31, 2014 at 20:48

*laughing* Yes, I ken! I love that sort of speak. Okay–I stand corrected! (Just pretend to pull for Andy.)

        It is!

      • 315 FictionFan April 1, 2014 at 01:16

Naw, naw! Ye huvtae say ‘Aye, ah ken!’ Elsewise the Scots’ll get fair scunnert wi’ ye…

      • 316 Professor VJ Duke April 1, 2014 at 02:40

How would you write an American accent, FEF? I’m so curious about these things.

      • 317 Susan P April 1, 2014 at 12:49

But there are a variety of American accents.

      • 318 Professor VJ Duke April 1, 2014 at 18:24

What sort does the professor have?

      • 319 Susan P April 1, 2014 at 21:24

I’m going to decline to respond to that answer on the grounds that it might incriminate me.

      • 320 Professor VJ Duke April 2, 2014 at 12:40

        That’s not fair, dadblameit!

      • 321 Susan P April 3, 2014 at 12:32

        Well, who can say?

      • 322 Professor VJ Duke April 4, 2014 at 01:30

        The professor!

      • 323 Susan P April 4, 2014 at 14:00

        Dun’t make is so.

      • 324 Professor VJ Duke April 4, 2014 at 18:38

        Well, dadblameit…

      • 325 Susan P April 4, 2014 at 21:28

Of course, if you want to make the rules…

      • 326 Professor VJ Duke April 7, 2014 at 13:14

        But I’m not sure I do…

      • 327 Susan P April 7, 2014 at 17:35

What if I say it’s okay to change them?

      • 328 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:38

        Then…I’ll let you do it!

      • 329 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 12:11

Now, that’s no fun. I was babysitting my grandson yesterday morning and his mama had said he was not supposed to play the Batman game on his electronic games disk. So I left the room for a minute and when I came back, guess what he was playing. Meemaw got blacklisted after that.

      • 330 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:09

Oh dear! *laughing* That’s not fair. I would have probably played the game for him…

      • 331 Susan P April 9, 2014 at 18:05

        Yes, well. I’m pretty strait-laced.

      • 332 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:53

But I would have died–if it was possible to do in the game.

      • 333 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 17:09

I don’t know. I only play Diner Dash, as I’ve ‘splained.

      • 334 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:09

I’ve never played. I don’t play much, you know.

      • 335 Susan P April 11, 2014 at 15:08

        Only with other people’s heads.

      • 336 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:53

*laughing* You got me there, Susan. I surrender.

      • 337 Susan P April 12, 2014 at 14:46

It’s okay, you know. We enjoy it.

      • 338 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:05

And you play with my head too!

      • 339 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 14:27

Moi? Never. Why would you say such a thing to an innocent woman like me? *wink*

      • 340 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:23

It was just a passing thought, you know.

      • 341 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 20:43

Has it passed now? Is it likely to return? Why did you let it get away?

      • 342 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:12

Oh yes. Passing thoughts return when you least expect, you know. I can’t catch them…all I try.

      • 343 Susan P April 15, 2014 at 20:48

        Alas. Flag at half mast

      • 344 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 01:01

        What flag?

      • 345 Susan P April 17, 2014 at 20:09

        DS’s personal banner.

      • 346 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 16:02

        Haha! You mean his face?

      • 347 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 16:41

Well, naturally his face is on it. I really can’t look at it for long.

      • 348 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:06

        Why not? Isn’t he striking?

      • 349 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 17:11

He is striking out if that is what you mean. DS and baseball is just dadblamery.

      • 350 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:45

Yes, I don’t think DS would be much good at it. He can bounce, you know.

      • 351 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:08

I don’t doubt it, but if he bounces too hard MM will have a field day, so to speak.

      • 352 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 18:08

        You mean, he’ll catch him?

      • 353 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:22

More like he would throw him to third.

      • 354 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 12:54

        Oh he’s not that mean!

      • 355 Susan P April 21, 2014 at 14:27

        No?

      • 356 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 20:55

Well, now you have me doubting…

      • 357 Susan P April 23, 2014 at 00:05

        Doubting PVJ

      • 358 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 00:51

        It’s a rarity…

      • 359 Susan P April 23, 2014 at 17:46

        Somehow I doubt that.

      • 360 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 19:01

        Oh you do not!

      • 361 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 00:11

        Thee misbelieves mine belief?

      • 362 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 13:06

        I do, I must!

      • 363 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 14:58

        Well that humphalicious.

      • 364 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:13

I think I added that glorious word to the list.

      • 365 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 18:45

        You did, actually.

      • 366 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:55

Awesome! It was a goody, Susan.

      • 367 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 19:01

        grin

      • 368 FictionFan April 1, 2014 at 15:06

Easy. I’d just remove the ‘u’ from my keyboard and spell badly…

      • 369 Professor VJ Duke April 1, 2014 at 18:36

        *laughs* Now wasn’t that mean?

      • 370 FictionFan April 1, 2014 at 23:44

        *innocent face*

      • 371 Professor VJ Duke April 2, 2014 at 12:52

I don’t believe you have one!

      • 372 George Bailey March 22, 2014 at 20:40

        Purr purr purr

      • 373 Professor VJ Duke March 24, 2014 at 13:31

I wish I could purr, George.

  16. 374 L. Marie March 21, 2014 at 13:35

Oh ha ha ha!!!! I didn’t see that coming!!! I love Manly-Man!!!!

    • 375 Professor VJ Duke March 21, 2014 at 17:26

Manly-Man is a zinger. I think Marlin was shocked. Drake seemed indifferent about the whole thing.

      • 376 Jazzy Couldren March 21, 2014 at 19:41

        :} Oh, I’s go zingy zingy. :}

      • 377 Professor VJ Duke March 22, 2014 at 01:05

In the brain a long time ago, yes.
