The Blooper Movie

Greetings from the professor, Punchy Family!

And welcome to the Punchy Lands’ Anniversary week! We are a year old today. Or close to year, or even a little bit over a year old…but it’s close enough. (April 9th is the day, I believe.)

I think you may find the structure of this week a bit different—which is a good thing. (Stagnant water is said to breed flies—or something like that.)

Punchy Family: The Punchy Lands wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for your support. We love you madly.

Anyway, the studio put together a short video. I think it’s a blooper video.

Enjoy!

Happy anniversary, professor and the PL team! I’m so very late to the party. I bet everyone had a good time though :)

    • 2 Hazy May 28, 2014 at 15:22

Oh, I liked the part with the professor and albuerque in the bloopers. Dadblamery! (sorry for double posting)

      • 3 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:22

No problem! Alb keeps me on my feet.

      • 4 Hazy May 29, 2014 at 23:52

I bet he does! I kinda like his sarcasm. Does he get a bit mean to you sometimes?

      • 5 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 13:03

Sometimes, yes. But the professor keeps him on this toes, too!

      • 6 Hazy June 5, 2014 at 12:32

I bet you do! It’s kinda fun to hear you bickering with him. (Is that wicked of me?)

      • 7 Professor VJ Duke June 5, 2014 at 14:23

No, it’s not! We always laugh, actually. But bicker, we do!

      • 8 Hazy June 9, 2014 at 11:27

The bickering is all in good fun, yes? Does he ever get on your nerves?

You know who Alb kinda reminds me of in the PL? I’m thinking Daniel (he can be kinda mean too)

      • 9 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2014 at 13:32

No, I’d be lost without him, for sure! He’s my righthand man.

Ooo…now that’s interesting you should say that.

      • 10 Hazy June 10, 2014 at 11:46

And the PL wouldn’t be the same without him, for sure!

Ooo~ Interesting. Did I stumble upon some sort of classified information or something?

      • 11 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2014 at 13:48

        For sure!

You did. Weatherly taught you well.

      • 12 Hazy June 11, 2014 at 23:58

Interesting indeed! I have an inkling what classified info it could be, but the secret is safe with me. *zips lips*

I suppose he did! I think he would be a wee bit proud.

      • 13 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 13:55

        Hazy, many thanks!

I bet he is. And he’s restless, I know.

    • 14 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:22

Many thanks, Hazy! You’re just on time! (The lovely thing about a blog!) Nice to see you too. How are you?

      • 15 Hazy May 29, 2014 at 23:51

I’m good, thanks for asking! Not too busy at work lately because the project is finished. Getting ready for a new one. And you, professor? How have you been?

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 13:03

I’m doing good, thanks. A few projects beginning, but it’s all fun and good. Between projects! Well, get some rest and good luck for the upcoming one, for sure!

      • 17 Hazy June 5, 2014 at 12:34

Thank you, kind sir! What kind of projects? (if I may ask) Good luck as well and have fun!

      • 18 Professor VJ Duke June 5, 2014 at 14:23

Well, we’re starting a new MicP series, I think. Working on it, at least.

        Thanks!

      • 19 Hazy June 9, 2014 at 11:28

Oh, that sounds great! Busy bees, aren’t you?

      • 20 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2014 at 13:32

Very busy! Yes, it’s fun to be busy sometimes.

  2. 21 erinkenobi2893 May 5, 2014 at 16:01

“I sensed your PRETZELS”?! What kind of a sentence is that! X-D Totally my favorite :-P

    • 22 Professor VJ Duke May 5, 2014 at 18:13

*laughing* Isn’t it funny how they can mess the lines up?

      • 23 erinkenobi2893 May 5, 2014 at 23:59

It is indeed. I love bloopers. Have you seen the Star Wars ones? Hayden Christensen falls on his face several times in the Attack of the Clones bloopers, and Ewan McGregor goofing off in front of the camera to keep everyone else from being too serious is so funny!!!!
Oh, and then there are the times when Artoo bumps into things and falls over. X-D In the Revenge of the Sith ones, there’s even one where Anthony Daniels (in costume as 3P0) trips over something on the sound stage and flips head over heels through a green screen! And then it cuts to Ewan McGregor and Natalie Portman, who are staring… “oh my, is he all right?” and then cracking up. It is hysterical!!!

      • 24 Professor VJ Duke May 6, 2014 at 12:48

*laughing lots* I’ve seen some of those! It’s so entertaining.

      • 25 erinkenobi2893 May 6, 2014 at 13:14

Indeed. Especially Anakin falling on his face. X-P Clumsy Chosen One. *rolls on the floor laughing*

      • 26 Professor VJ Duke May 6, 2014 at 15:44

        *laughs too*

      • 27 erinkenobi2893 May 6, 2014 at 17:56

Did I ever tell you about the time when I locked Anakin in a closet and fed him on bread and water and lettuce and no one even noticed until the next morning when Obi-Wan asked, “Wait a minute, where’s my shadow?” Or wait, that was Peter Pan. Obi-Wan said something else entirely, I forget what. It wasn’t important. What was important was that Obi-Wan made me let him out. :-( Just when I was about to feed him oatmeal (which he hates!), too. :’-(

      • 28 Professor VJ Duke May 6, 2014 at 23:03

*laughing lots* I bet Anakin beat you!

      • 29 erinkenobi2893 May 7, 2014 at 12:40

No, he was too scared of me… and of Obi-Wan. (I chased Anakin into the closet in the first place because he messed up my job search, and though I didn’t want to do it in the first place I knew it had to be done, so I wanted it over with, and I was really mad and he was scared. :-P)

      • 30 Professor VJ Duke May 7, 2014 at 14:22

Haha! I like how you beat up on him.

      • 31 erinkenobi2893 May 8, 2014 at 11:19

Oh, I didn’t hit him. I just fed him on bread, water and lettuce X-P

      • 32 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 14:57

        What torture!

      • 33 erinkenobi2893 May 9, 2014 at 14:57

It was, for him. I, however, like all three of those. :-P

      • 34 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 20:48

        Yes, but together…

      • 35 erinkenobi2893 May 10, 2014 at 14:33

        Hmmm… you do have a point. :-P

  3. 36 Bethy April 8, 2014 at 14:06

A whole year old! Wowza! That is super special! And so were the bloopers!

    • 37 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:57

Thanks, Bethy! Now that you brought it up…how old do you consider the professor?

      • 38 Bethy April 14, 2014 at 22:14

What?! How in the world did I bring up your age? I don’t remember doing that at all. I mean I know I’m good, but really?
Anyway, since YOU brought it up I think you are probably somewhere between 30 and 80. No, wait I don’t know any 80 yo who use the computer. Make that 30 and 70! I bet I’m right too!

      • 39 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:19

*laughing lots* You admit you’re good! Now that’s an interest…

Well… I think Susan may disagree with you.

      • 40 Bethy April 16, 2014 at 20:10

Yes, I have been told I’m good in certain areas enough that I’m starting to believe it. And how is that an interest?

Yes, I know my mom doesn’t exactly agree with me. We’ve had this discussion a couple of times.

      • 41 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 20:27

Well, it tells me a bit about you. That’s always an interest.

I see. (Could you tell me what she thinks? She’s mum on the subject. I know it’s wicked of me.)

      • 42 Bethy April 17, 2014 at 14:32

You are right. It is an interest when you learn a bit, bits, and little bits about people.

I might be able to tell you, maybe. I’m not sure if it would be wise though. And it is terribly wicked of the professor to try and go behind Susan’s back, or around her front or whatever it is you are doing.

      • 43 Professor VJ Duke April 17, 2014 at 16:18

*laughing* It is! That’s why I’m always saying things about myself.

And you are right. I must needs tell Susan what I’ve done now. Don’t answer me. It was a dadblame thought.

      • 44 Bethy April 18, 2014 at 18:56

Well you know I don’t like it when she stares daggers at me!

      • 45 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 12:55

        Susan? Well welly!

      • 46 Bethy May 5, 2014 at 10:29

I think it comes with the Mommy territory. And being a teacher of course.

      • 47 Professor VJ Duke May 5, 2014 at 13:06

        I think you’re quite right.

  4. 48 Anja April 8, 2014 at 12:03

    Happy 1 year!!!!

    • 49 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:01

Thanks, Anja! And I fear my mind is failing fast again.

      • 50 Anja April 8, 2014 at 23:05

        What’s wrong

      • 51 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 00:07

Well, my mind is spinning, you know.

      • 52 Anja April 9, 2014 at 00:08

        Slow it down

      • 53 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 00:10

        But how? Especially at night.

      • 54 Anja April 9, 2014 at 00:13

        Meditate

      • 55 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:31

        About what?

      • 56 Anja April 9, 2014 at 01:35

It’s not about “what”. You just do

      • 57 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:35

        I’m not sure how.

      • 58 Anja April 9, 2014 at 09:28

Be still and quiet for awhile

      • 59 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:37

That’s impossible for me to do.

      • 60 Anja April 9, 2014 at 18:45

You can’t say that without ever trying

      • 61 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:00

        But I have!

      • 62 Anja April 9, 2014 at 19:01

But not enough or find a better way

      • 63 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:04

        I see.

  5. 64 Lesley April 8, 2014 at 11:04

A year!!!!! Wooohoooo congrats Professor!! I’ve enjoyed your blog, esp. the Sherlock Holmes-like (oops) videps. I’ve enjoyed our interactions too!!

    • 65 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:00

Many thanks, Lesley! It’s always great having speaks with you. My how time flies! You must catch it for me, I think.

      • 66 Lesley April 8, 2014 at 23:20

Haha YOU must catch it. You’re the goalie after all ;) Oh my, time does fly indeed!

      • 67 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 00:07

It sure does! Well, I’ll try. But you must go for it, too!

      • 68 Lesley April 9, 2014 at 04:50

Haha I’ll try too, after you take the lead!

      • 69 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:36

Okay…now I have to figure out how to go about it.

      • 70 Lesley April 9, 2014 at 18:58

        :D

      • 71 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:04

        *smiles*

  7. 74 icedmocha34 April 8, 2014 at 00:33

    Congrats!

    • 75 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:06

      Thanks!

  8. 76 Jackie April 7, 2014 at 22:33

Happy Anniversary! One year is quite an accomplishment – well done! I love bloopers cause they are so funny. The same can’t be said for Albuquerque – he’s such a bore. ugh.

    • 77 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:05

Thanks! So do I. And yes, what a meanie! But what can I do?

      • 78 Jackie April 8, 2014 at 02:13

Nothing! That’s just the way it is sometimes. :-/

      • 79 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:14

        Yes, too true.

  9. 80 The Reading Girl April 7, 2014 at 22:14

happy anniversary! Definitely enjoyed your work and everything :) I think I might know how old you are, I mean is that your real voice? The last part could not be computerized. But anyways great work and can’t wait for more :)

    • 81 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:04

Many thanks, Yazmin! That means a lot. It is my voice, yes! How old would you say?

      • 82 The Reading Girl April 8, 2014 at 20:30

I say around 20 to probably 30. I mean, no older than that

      • 83 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 00:06

But what would you say exactly?

      • 84 The Reading Girl April 9, 2014 at 21:46

        25. That’s what I thought.

      • 85 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:29

Hmm…even when I’m older than the mountains?

      • 86 The Reading Girl April 10, 2014 at 01:48

Yes, even if you are older than the mountains you are 25. I mean if you don’t want the whole world to now then you must tell me privately or through my mind and send me the answer, haha

      • 87 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:33

What if I’m younger than that?

      • 88 The Reading Girl April 10, 2014 at 22:53

so you are younger then? 20 years?

      • 89 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:30

The professor is very old. I’m just trying to see what you think…

      • 90 The Reading Girl April 12, 2014 at 23:23

        hmm….so then you must be 40 :D

      • 91 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:17

Well…welly…well… I can’t really say, but no. How old are you, Yazmin?

      • 92 The Reading Girl April 15, 2014 at 22:16

I am young but not that young…..

      • 93 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 01:07

        Sounds like a professorish riddle…

      • 94 The Reading Girl April 16, 2014 at 01:12

haha :) that’s the whole point. I mean I came up with it but it does kind of sound like your riddles…

      • 95 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 01:15

It is a lovely saying. I had to say it a few times. It gets an A. I’m quite proud…but you can’t do that to me, dadblameit!

      • 96 The Reading Girl April 16, 2014 at 01:22

well thank you :) and I can’t do what? confuse you? XD

      • 97 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 19:54

Yes, you can’t! It isn’t too fair, is it?

      • 98 The Reading Girl April 16, 2014 at 21:36

you confuse me all the time…I think XD

      • 99 Professor VJ Duke April 17, 2014 at 16:04

        But I’m allowed to, dadblameit!

      • 100 The Reading Girl April 17, 2014 at 21:46

        haha :) so am I

      • 101 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 16:13

*laughing* Rats and a Heifer to you, Yazmin!

      • 102 The Reading Girl April 18, 2014 at 21:43

        haha :)

      • 103 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 13:02

        Oh dear…

      • 104 The Reading Girl April 23, 2014 at 01:38

        oh dear what?

      • 105 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 18:19

Well, you won’t tell me what I want to know, for one.

      • 106 The Reading Girl April 23, 2014 at 21:57

        which is my age?

      • 107 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 14:47

        Well, haha! *smiles knowingly*

      • 108 The Reading Girl April 24, 2014 at 22:07

well I told you :) its your turn

      • 109 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 23:27

But was that part of the deal?

      • 110 The Reading Girl April 24, 2014 at 23:29

        hmmm I don’t remember…yes

      • 111 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 23:39

Now you’re making me feel very wicked.

      • 112 The Reading Girl April 24, 2014 at 23:41

        haha :) well…

      • 113 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 12:45

        Huff-Hum to you madam!

      • 114 The Reading Girl April 26, 2014 at 22:48

        haha :) well…back to you

      • 115 Professor VJ Duke April 27, 2014 at 19:06

*laughing lots* Now I”m shocked, you know!

      • 116 The Reading Girl April 28, 2014 at 22:07

Haha. I can be a very surprising person :-)

      • 117 Professor VJ Duke April 29, 2014 at 17:29

        But not the professor.

      • 118 The Reading Girl April 29, 2014 at 21:51

hmmm I think you are…in some ways ;)

      • 119 Professor VJ Duke April 29, 2014 at 22:07

Did you know the professor was a grizzly bear?

      • 120 The Reading Girl April 29, 2014 at 22:08

a girzzly bear? no! then you must be a smart grizzly bear :D haha and i’m a tiger!

      • 121 Professor VJ Duke April 30, 2014 at 15:43

*laughing* A tiger? Wowawee! They like swimming.

      • 122 The Reading Girl April 30, 2014 at 21:22

haha :D yep. and a dolphin and polar bear. they all like to swim like me :D

      • 123 Professor VJ Duke May 1, 2014 at 13:01

So they do! The professor sinks when he swims, you know.

      • 124 The Reading Girl May 1, 2014 at 22:40

how can the professor not know how to swim?

      • 125 Professor VJ Duke May 2, 2014 at 12:51

Well, I think I know. What do you suppose?

      • 126 The Reading Girl May 2, 2014 at 21:52

I mean how can you sink if you know how to swim?

      • 127 Professor VJ Duke May 3, 2014 at 18:54

Well, it’s sorta of an evolving process. You see, as I swim I sink. Isn’t it a wonder?

      • 128 The Reading Girl May 5, 2014 at 21:28

Haha :-) you suree full of wonders. Hmm are you the only one that does that? Because I think you are

      • 129 Professor VJ Duke May 5, 2014 at 23:31

It’s a unique style! Wouldn’t you like to see it? That’s why it’s not safe for me to swim in the ocean where it’s very deep.

      • 130 The Reading Girl May 6, 2014 at 22:28

haha :) so you dont go out much? I would like to see…

      • 131 Professor VJ Duke May 6, 2014 at 23:24

        No, I don’t! Do you?

      • 132 The Reading Girl May 6, 2014 at 23:27

of course…well when I dont have a lot of work from school

      • 133 Professor VJ Duke May 7, 2014 at 13:59

        School is such dadblamery.

      • 137 Professor VJ Duke May 7, 2014 at 23:51

Yes, I think they were at one time. You should rebel and ride in with a few knights.

      • 138 The Reading Girl May 7, 2014 at 23:53

ha…I did that once…but this school im in is not worth doing that. i’m pretty sure you rode with a few knights…

      • 139 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 14:26

I have! But I’m surprised you have. Tell me more!

      • 140 The Reading Girl May 8, 2014 at 21:40

surprised…you still have a lot to know about me….

      • 141 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 01:19

It seems I do! Good noodles!

      • 142 The Reading Girl May 9, 2014 at 01:20

haha good noodles? I think i’ll start using that phrase

      • 143 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 01:26

        *laughs* Isn’t it awesome?

      • 144 The Reading Girl May 9, 2014 at 01:28

yes…haha. are you really laughing Mr.Professor?

      • 145 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 20:34

        Yes, why? Or I was.

      • 146 The Reading Girl May 9, 2014 at 22:35

        i dont know… i dont think I’m that funny

      • 147 Professor VJ Duke May 12, 2014 at 12:46

        Well…I think so, I think.

      • 148 The Reading Girl May 12, 2014 at 21:17

        Haha :-). Well that’s a surprise

      • 149 Professor VJ Duke May 12, 2014 at 23:13

        I’m not funny either.

      • 150 The Reading Girl May 14, 2014 at 01:50

haha now that you are…of course you are :D

      • 151 Professor VJ Duke May 14, 2014 at 13:18

        But we can’t be sure!

  10. 152 laugraeva April 7, 2014 at 21:28

    So you’re definitely American!

    • 153 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:03

      You sure?

      • 154 laugraeva April 8, 2014 at 14:15

I worked that out ages ago from the times in which you comment back to me.

      • 155 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:58

But what else do you know?

      • 156 laugraeva April 9, 2014 at 08:24

        HA YOU CONFIRMED IT

      • 157 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:36

I did not! You’re getting too much info aren’t you?

      • 158 laugraeva April 9, 2014 at 18:43

Did too! I have a pretty good idea about who you are now Prof.

      • 159 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:00

Oh no! Will you tell me?

      • 160 laugraeva April 9, 2014 at 19:14

Tempted, but I reckon you’ll just twist my theories and make me doubt myself.

      • 161 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:04

Well, the professor wouldn’t do that! He’s not know for that. Can’t you give me a hint?

      • 162 laugraeva April 10, 2014 at 06:50

Well I can’t quite pin-point your age, but I think it is similar, if not younger, than mine.

      • 163 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:41

        Well, how old are you?

      • 164 laugraeva April 11, 2014 at 06:22

        22..
Surprised you didn’t search my blog to find out. In fact I’m a tad disappointed that you didn’t.

      • 165 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:42

But I did. The professor is just a horrible searcher. But that around what I was thinking. Just making sure, you know.

      • 166 laugraeva April 14, 2014 at 11:17

So is that a yes or no?

      • 167 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:18

        You mean about my age?

      • 168 laugraeva April 14, 2014 at 20:47

        Yes about your age!

      • 169 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:14

        I can’t answer, you know!

  11. 170 technophile9 April 7, 2014 at 21:01

Wooh! Happy Birthday! It’s been really fun to see the PF grow. Proud to be a part of it. :D And the bloopers were great. :)

    • 171 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:03

Joe, many thanks! We’re proud to have you. Wasn’t Schwarz hilarious when he messed up?

      • 172 technophile9 April 8, 2014 at 12:34

I know right? Daddy Salami was also pretty funny. ;)

      • 173 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:15

        He actually gets mad!

  12. 174 Simply Skeptical April 7, 2014 at 18:08

Seriously? Oh of course not dadblameit!. Nothing is serious about the Punchy Lands. Except seriously it is extremely creative and consistently giggle worthy if not LOL! The very best to this place of mystery & joy away from the dull day to day. Congrats on a superb year!

    • 175 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:46

Many thanks, SS! But it does make sense and it is serious! Wouldn’t you say the professor is a serious chap?

  13. 176 Susan P April 7, 2014 at 17:23

I do like the background. Someone has been burning the midnight oil. I never thought about bloopers. Now I must think about it. Happy Anniversary, Punchy Lands!! :D

    • 177 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:34

Susan! Thank you. One more thing to get up: Start Here. And I can recline and watch the Sox or something like that. What thinketh thou of the bloopers?

      • 178 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 12:04

I think you should make a concerted effort to make more bloopers and put them up. Not every day, of course. Maybe a couple of times a month? Would not want to kill the goose, you know?

      • 179 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:02

        Really? Do you think so?

      • 180 Susan P April 9, 2014 at 18:01

I really do think so. It can be a secret weapon that will straighten the economy.

      • 181 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:51

        Now how so?

      • 182 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 17:05

Well, they’ve tried almost everything else. Why not?

      • 183 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:07

        Haha! That’s a good point.

      • 184 Susan P April 11, 2014 at 14:58

        There you are, then.

      • 185 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:50

That’s an awesome saying of yours, you know. I really do like it.

      • 186 Susan P April 12, 2014 at 14:35

I’m certain it is not proprietary. Grin

      • 187 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:02

        Oh yes it is!

      • 188 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 14:22

If so, I grant you permission to use prn.

      • 189 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:21

        And many thanks!

      • 190 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 20:36

        At your service, sir.

      • 191 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:10

The professor should be knighted, now that I’m thinking about it.

      • 192 Susan P April 15, 2014 at 20:44

        You wouldn’t like it.

      • 193 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 00:59

        But why?

      • 194 Susan P April 17, 2014 at 20:05

        too much pomp and circumstance.

      • 195 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 15:59

Yeah, I once read about how it was done. It seemed uncomfortable. The preparation, that is.

      • 196 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 16:37

On the bright side, it involves a sword. GRIN

      • 197 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:04

That’s true. And you get to look like a human tank. Have you ever seen A Knight’s Tale?

      • 198 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 17:07

No, I haven’t seen it. I wonder if Amazon Prime has it…

      • 199 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:42

It’s just a medieval comedy. I’m not sure what you’d think of it. *laughs*

      • 200 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:02

Anything like Monty Python and the Holy Grail?

      • 201 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 18:05

You know, I’ve never seen that!

      • 202 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:18

Oh my. It’s a classic. Crazy. VERY Punchy. You could watch it and do a movie rip.

      • 203 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 12:51

Well! Never thought about doing a movie ripio…

      • 204 Susan P April 21, 2014 at 14:23

Are you thinking of it now?

      • 205 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 20:53

        I am, yes!

      • 206 Susan P April 22, 2014 at 23:59

        Good!

      • 207 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 00:50

        Well, yes…

      • 208 Susan P April 23, 2014 at 17:40

Some movies were made to rip.

      • 209 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 18:59

        Yes…like…the Titanic.

      • 210 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 00:07

Too, too true. Lame is too nice for that movie.

      • 211 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 13:04

You didn’t like it? *laughing* Not sure I’ve ever seen the whole thing. It’s rather boring.

      • 212 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 14:56

At least a third of it was footage of people running back and fourth on deck.

      • 213 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:11

That was the best part, you must admit. The wreck, I mean.

      • 214 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 18:41

Was it? I liked Pirates of the Caribbean better.

      • 215 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:51

Was that because the professor was in it?

      • 216 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 18:56

Actually, it was because Johnny was in it.

      • 217 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 19:02

        Johnny professor doesn’t sound right.

      • 218 Susan P April 25, 2014 at 19:15

I don’t know what to say about that.

      • 219 Professor VJ Duke April 26, 2014 at 15:45

        Me neither.

      • 220 Susan P April 26, 2014 at 16:03

        Then let’s not.

      • 221 Professor VJ Duke April 26, 2014 at 16:16

        Agreed!

      • 222 Susan P April 26, 2014 at 19:30

        I’m glad we settled that.

      • 223 Professor VJ Duke April 27, 2014 at 18:59

        Indeed!

  14. 224 desertdweller29 April 7, 2014 at 16:29

Too funny! I’m a sucker for bloopers. Congrats on your success, Professor!

    • 225 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:28

Thanks so much! The Professor is greatly for the fun the PF gives me from day to day! I love bloopers too. But Alb doesn’t, you know.

  15. 226 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 7, 2014 at 15:52

Happy Anniversary Week, Punchy Lands!!! How cool for you all. I have watched y’all grow and it has been an amazing journey. You brighten many faces and continue to surprise. The the stories, videos and the friendships I continue to treasure!

I can’t even begin to express how much I laughed over this video, Duke. Loved it!

    • 227 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:28

Audith, those words mean everything, and really keep me going! Thank you. The friendships are treasured by me, too.

Yes! We go for surprises, you know. Keep you guessing!

Awesome and thanks! And you heard the professor.

      • 228 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 8, 2014 at 02:21

I meant every word, Duke and then some I didn’t say.

I enjoy the surprises, very much.

        I know… *smiles shyly*

      • 229 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 22:51

The ones you didn’t say are the real special ones, I bet.

        Me too!

        Dadblamery of a voice…

      • 230 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 9, 2014 at 02:56

Yeah, I think you’re right about that, Duke.

*understands now why Amelia is so taken by you. You have a great laugh.*

      • 231 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:30

Very interesting. I would ask for more, but it’s not for me to know.

*hides in the pillow* How do you know that?

      • 232 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 9, 2014 at 19:56

Why isn’t it for you to know?
*scrunches her forehead and wonders when he had time to get a new red pillow* We heard it during the blunders, I thought. I could be wrong. I probably am, as I know nothing. Nothing at all. Zero. Zilch. Nada.

      • 233 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:21

        I’m not sure. Well…you could tell, then…

It’s black this time, I fear. Yes, you’re right. I’m usually in on every session. The ones I can’t make, Alb takes care of. He’s there, too, usually. And you heard it in the…the other one we just did.

      • 234 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 10, 2014 at 01:50

You called my bluff!! *goes back to writing about paint drying*

Black? Well best of luck with that color.
        Ahh…sounds complicated. *nodding sweetly*

      • 235 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:34

        Paint drying…that’s neatio.

What? Don’t you like black pillows?

        It’s fun!

      • 236 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 10, 2014 at 20:23

You did it again!!!! *four letter word!!!*

Huh? *stretches her neck to listen harder* Umm, not really, no. I like bright and fresh, clean and crisp, but no flowers, ever!

I have no doubt about that, Duke. I’m so glad it is fun. *smiles*

      • 237 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:26

What did I do? Is Audith swearing?! *shock*

Yes, no flowers. Well, this is a fresh black one.

        Me too!

      • 238 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 10, 2014 at 20:54

Called my bluff… No, I am not. Twas thinking of other words like…chip, tree, dove… *swishes her hand in front of your face..wake up*

LOL…okay, a fresh black one it is, but I’m changing the pillowcase to red, soon. *laughs*

        Me three!

      • 239 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:10

        But I’m still sleepy…

*burns the black pillow* We’ve got another one now.

        Me two and three!

      • 240 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 11, 2014 at 20:14

        …but I wanna go have some fun…

*shocked* *cheers for her, Duketh* We do? Now what did you buy? You shouldn’t go shopping alone…

What are we twoing and threeing, again? *just so I’m clear*

      • 241 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:42

        And swordfight?

This is a red one with tassels. Shopping is over in a jiffy when I do it, you know.

        That studio work is fun!

      • 242 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 12, 2014 at 00:45

I thought it was only practice, Duketh. *figures he’ll offer to take me fishing instead*

Tassels?! Why? Umm, hold on, no wonder its over in a jiffy. I hate shopping, but one could have spent a bit more time and found one without tassels. What is the plan for those, Duketh?

Do you like being watched while you’re busy working?

      • 243 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:41

But the professor can’t fish, dadblameit!

*takes the katana and cuts off the tassels*

Well…depends. Usually I can concentrate alright.

      • 244 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 14, 2014 at 18:30

        We should learn…

        *shocked* *makes her so happy*

        Does it make you nervous?

      • 245 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:36

        We should.

        Well, that’s awesome, then!

No. I usually like showing someone what I do.

      • 246 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 14, 2014 at 19:20

Fishing can be relaxing, Duketh. I think we’d enjoy it.

Because you do something very cool

      • 247 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 17:50

I bet you’re right. I might want to shoot the fish, though.

        So do you!

      • 248 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 15, 2014 at 18:36

I’ve seen that done on TV. The Discovery Channel is amazing. It sucks me in. Just bring our headphones.

*rolls her…umm, towel up to flick it at you!*

      • 249 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:33

I like that channel too. Didn’t know you liked watching fish get shot, though.

        *bites it*

      • 250 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 15, 2014 at 20:09

        I didn’t say I liked watching it.

        *shoulder shake laughs*

      • 251 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 00:42

Don’t be bashful. I’m sure it’s quite interesting.

        *laughs lots*

      • 252 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 16, 2014 at 03:46

I’m always bashful. I think it may be my first name.

Only when its the episode where you’re the one aiming for the fish. Why did you fall out of the boat, Duke? It’s interesting how all the fish began swarming you and piling over your chest like you were food.

      • 253 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 20:00

Dear me! It is a nice name, I suppose.

        Are they deadly?

      • 254 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 16, 2014 at 20:41

My middle middle name, actually… what’s yours?

        No, they’re massaging your shoulders.

      • 255 Professor VJ Duke April 17, 2014 at 15:54

        Umm…I forget, you know.

        That must mean they’re deadly!

      • 256 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 17, 2014 at 17:12

It’s wicked, that was an easy one to remember.

        Okay. Swim fast!

      • 257 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 15:34

        Yes! That’s it! Wicked-Sweet.

I don’t think they’ll eat me, because they like me.

      • 258 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 18, 2014 at 16:02

        I like that!

        You’re easy to like, Duke.

      • 259 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 16:33

        Thanks!

        So are you, Audith. *smiles*

      • 260 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 18, 2014 at 16:48

        *smiles*

  16. 261 Painting Pundit April 7, 2014 at 15:39

Happy Birthday! Was shocked to find that DS actually made a mistake!! But Schwarz bloopers priceless!! :)

    • 262 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:23

Thank you! Oh yes, DS does all the time. Wasn’t Schwarz funny in that one? He makes us laugh.

  17. 263 weggieboy April 7, 2014 at 15:28

Aw! I thought they were seamlessly produced and always perfect! On the other hand, Happy Blogversary and thanks for the chuckles! Even your mistakes are uproariously good fun!

    • 264 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:17

Thanks! The professor appreciates that. You don’t know how many times Alb and I had to take that! It was on the spot–as I’m sure you could tell!

  18. 265 Amy Pinkrose April 7, 2014 at 14:55

Happy Birthday to you, Professor. You are NOW 1 year old? When do you start talking? OH boy, I cannot wait!!!

Great bloopers! I *laughed uproar-ish-ly* LOVE, LadyP

    • 266 Susan P April 7, 2014 at 17:24

I think he talks in bloopers.

      • 267 Amy Pinkrose April 7, 2014 at 19:39

Deliberately you think? Or is that just the way he is?

      • 268 Susan P April 7, 2014 at 21:41

        Deliberately. Definitely deliberately.

      • 269 Amy Pinkrose April 7, 2014 at 21:43

        I agree. Most assuredly. GRIN!

      • 270 Susan P April 7, 2014 at 21:46

I wonder how many characters he acts for on the vids.

      • 271 Amy Pinkrose April 7, 2014 at 22:17

I’ve often wondered that myself. I am very curious you know. And he seems to be missing again today. Hmmmm…..That can only mean one thing. That man is up to no good. Tee Hee ….

      • 272 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 01:16

        When is he not?

      • 273 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 02:04

Hehehehehehhe You make me laugh, Susan!!! (((HUGS)))

      • 274 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 11:59

        Likewise!

      • 275 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 15:43

I furgot where we were in this convo. Hehehehehhehe

      • 276 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 15:46

Methinks we were discussing the characters’ voices and whether or not the Professor did any of them or all of them. Maybe we should decide whether or not he is a real person?

      • 277 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 16:24

Tee Hee Is he real? Or is he a phantom of our imagination? As for the voices, me thinks he does some of them. Mayhaps not all, but some. He won’t admit it. I already had the convo with him about it. He is a sly one. To get anything of substance out of that man, good luck.

OH! That reminds me. He asked what he would have to do for the cherry cake with cherry whipped cream frosting, and I said skinny dipping in Portugual. Hehehehehehehe I have yet to hear back from him on that. 😂

      • 278 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 17:31

Oh, Amy, it is my turn to pee my pants. I am laughing so hard. We’ll see what he has to say about it.

      • 279 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 20:12

Hehehehehehe He has been avoiding me. No word ALL day. I’m biting my nails. LOL I am laughing SO HARD!!!!

      • 280 Susan P April 9, 2014 at 02:00

        Love you, friend.

      • 281 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 02:05

I love you, too, Susan. Heading for shower and bed. Sweet dreams!!! xx Amy

      • 282 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 01:07

Hope you had a good day. Was busy most of the day doing laundry and tutoring a middle schooler in pre-algebra.

      • 283 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:11

        BUSY! Serious! BUSY!

      • 284 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 01:13

Have you ever noticed how the word BUSY looks funny? :D

      • 285 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:27

Tee Hee That is because God wants us to slow down a wee bit. Hmmm….

      • 286 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 14:17

        :D

      • 287 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:32

Pre-algebra? That’s awesome, Susan. I wish I could do algebra again. I think I liked it.

      • 288 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 00:04

The professor is only the professor’s voice. You ladies must think I’m real gifted. And another thing: I shan’t ever dip in water…like…well, like that! Unless, maybe I’m by myself. There you go! A full professorish answer, and I fear I’ve told too much. That’s all, gentlemen!

      • 289 Susan P April 9, 2014 at 18:17

You have dashed our hopes. *sigh*

      • 290 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:59

        What were your hopes?

      • 291 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 17:26

That you were a megalvoiceover is person

      • 292 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:15

        But could I be?

      • 293 Susan P April 11, 2014 at 15:22

        You could.

      • 294 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:58

And I don’t make much out of it.

      • 295 Susan P April 12, 2014 at 14:56

Alas, the world is the poorer for it.

      • 296 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:10

Well, I’m not sure what to do about it!

      • 297 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 14:30

Share the wealth. (i.e. let her rip)

      • 298 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:24

        But how?

      • 299 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 20:45

Gosh. I dunno. You need to talk to Harry. He’s the financial whiz.

      • 300 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:13

I’ll talk when we play baseball.

      • 301 Susan P April 15, 2014 at 20:49

        Good luck.

      • 302 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 01:02

        He must play hard.

      • 303 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:05

The man was, in truth, practicing off at a practice. But I’m back! And I don’t do any of the voices, you know. But maybe I have MPD.

      • 304 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 02:06

No maybe about IT. You do. Nothin’ to be ashamed of. I kinda think it’s cool. 😜

      • 305 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:09

Haha, I’m honored you think that. If only I could do so many voices!

      • 306 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 02:10

But she thinks you do, says LadyP, 😆

      • 307 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:12

        Now what?

      • 308 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:48

I think he plays with you, don’t you? That’s from my experience, though.

      • 309 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 02:04

And what experience would that be exactly?

      • 310 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:09

        About 120 years of it?

      • 311 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 02:09

At the very least is my estimation.

      • 312 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:11

        Maybe more, then.

      • 313 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 02:11

Or less, it all depends on it.

      • 314 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:13

        It does.

      • 315 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 12:35

*stamps foot!* No fair! You leave the last remark and I have to remember the NEXT day what we are talking about! NO FAIR!

      • 316 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:17

My analysts are cranky with you.

      • 317 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 23:48

ME?!!! Come again? I *fainted*! It’s all YOUR fault!

      • 318 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 00:09

But it’s true…I told them to be nice.

      • 319 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 00:22

But they were not. I hold you accountable. *no pun intended*

      • 320 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:33

        You don’t believe me?

      • 321 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:34

Nope! *smacked lips on the P* Not by a long shot!

      • 322 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:34

        What is the P?

      • 323 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:35

        Where is the Q?

      • 324 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:36

        In the basket?

      • 325 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:36

        Around the hoop. Oops.

      • 326 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:37

        Oh dear…

      • 327 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:38

        No it is oh DEER.

      • 328 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:21

        Spit-tooey.

      • 329 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 18:55

Oh OH! You are grouchy today!

      • 330 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:03

        That’s a nice word!

      • 331 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 19:15

        I think so as well.

      • 332 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:05

        Well, then, not grouchy!

      • 333 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:10

        NO!

      • 334 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:32

        Goodness me.

      • 335 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:33

        mmmmmmm????

      • 336 Jazzy Couldren April 7, 2014 at 22:32

        Hey, we all does our own voices. :}

      • 337 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 01:14

        Of COURSE you do. ;)

      • 338 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:07

        And of course I do.

      • 339 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 12:00

        I knew that. *giggle*

      • 340 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:01

But you might not know what you think you do.

      • 341 Susan P April 9, 2014 at 18:00

You might not know what I think.

      • 342 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:51

        I don’t, I admit.

      • 343 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 17:03

You can always try to guess, but maybe you’d rather live in the mystery.

      • 344 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:06

I don’t like that at all, actually!

      • 345 Susan P April 11, 2014 at 14:54

There is so much to learn in the unknowing place.

      • 346 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:49

        There sure is.

      • 347 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:05

        Right on, MM.

      • 348 Jazzy Couldren April 8, 2014 at 01:45

        I’s think you’s patronizing me…

      • 349 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 12:01

I never ever patronize a manly man. And you are so…manly.

      • 350 Jazzy Couldren April 9, 2014 at 18:58

You’s still patronizing me, Susie. :} It makes me crazy. And Jazzy.

(I done hope this ends up in the right place…)

      • 351 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 17:24

The last person who called me Susie was my Pop-pop Phillips, may he rest in peace.

        How am I patronizing you?

    • 352 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:17

I still don’t talk, you know. I can only write. Do you suppose you could teach me to talk?

Thanks, LadyP! Now you’ve heard the professor’s voice.

      • 353 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 01:20

I can do anything once I put my mind to it you know. 😂 😳 💁

      • 354 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:08

Except when the professor tells you you can’t. *smiles like a katana*

      • 355 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 02:09

OH but I CAN! No one tells me I CAN’T cause that makes me all the more determined. Katana or no katana! HURRUMPH! Demurely, LadyP

      • 356 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:10

But I don’t think you can, ’cause cause.

      • 357 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 02:11

Cause why exactly again? I furget.

      • 358 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:13

        Cause I’m too powerful

      • 359 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 12:34

*eyeball roll …tongue in cheek* OK. If you say so.

      • 360 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:15

        None of that, young lady!

      • 361 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 23:47

Tee Hee … Why, Professor, what ARE you talking about?! *bats eyelashes coyly*

      • 362 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 00:08

I’m not sure anymore. But I bet Susan does!

      • 363 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 00:22

Susan knows everything. Ya can’t pull the wool over her eyes! And she is my friend! HA!

      • 364 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:33

The professor always has the wool over his eyes, you know.

      • 365 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:33

Oh, I do know. And then some! Hehehehehe

      • 366 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:34

        Well, Huff-Hum to you!

      • 367 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:35

MUH FFUH to you, Sir! YadaYada!

      • 368 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:36

        How about Jada?

      • 369 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:36

Nope. Yada. All the way! Nada? Maybe?

      • 370 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:36

        Why not?

      • 371 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:37

Cause I said so. If that is not good enough, *shrug*, OK.

      • 372 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:37

        Rats! Dadblameit!

      • 373 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:38

        I love tennis. Don’t you????

      • 374 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:21

        Yes, I do!

      • 375 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 18:55

        Are you sure?

      • 376 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:03

Yes! though I don’t get to play much.

      • 377 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 19:15

Sad to say, neither does LadyP.

      • 378 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:05

We should make a gigantic effort to play, then.

      • 379 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:09

        NO.

      • 380 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:32

        Why not?

      • 381 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:34

A Lady has every right NOT to explain. xx LadyP

      • 382 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:35

        So does a professor!

      • 383 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:37

Well so does a Lady! Without a doubt!

      • 384 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:31

Ladies are a rare breed, you know. That’s what Susan tells me.

      • 385 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 20:19

Well, Susan is absolutely correct. GRIN! And I have all my teeth!

      • 386 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:23

        Does the professor?

      • 387 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 20:34

        ….giggle…. *shaking head* If you don’t know, I don’t.

      • 388 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:53

I’ve got too many. Like a shark.

      • 389 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 20:57

Teeth? Is that what we are talking about? DUH! *mumbles how can a person have too many teeth?*

      • 390 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:44

Don’t sharks have too many teeth?

      • 391 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 22:47

Rows and rows of teeth. The more to rip flesh apart with. Lots of gore and blood.

      • 392 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:56

        That’s like the professor.

      • 393 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 22:58

        Surely is! Without doubt!

      • 394 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:23

        Haha!

      • 395 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:38

      • 396 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:31

        But why can’t you talk?

      • 397 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 20:19

        I can. Who says I can’t?

      • 398 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:24

        Well…me?

      • 399 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 20:35

Why not? Who else would be better?

      • 400 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:54

        Well, thank you, LadyP.

      • 401 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 20:57

      • 405 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 22:59

MINE! Don’t you recognize me? What is WRONG with you???

      • 406 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:24

But what are the + signs?

      • 407 Amy Pinkrose April 14, 2014 at 16:22

The + signs now mean LadyP is having a very ++++ day, and really cannot play with the Professor. *sad face* Today is spa day for cats (teeth, ears and nails) and hubs wants hair cut. LadyP must continue with gardens as well. Wanna come over and help LadyP? DADBLAMMIT!!! I am only one fursome. *wanna play but have to work today*

        I don’t see any professorish symbols…

      • 411 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 20:20

OHHHHH! I get it. The smilies. I DO talk ALL the time. I still have my iPad smilies you know. Hehehehehehehe😜 😁 😎 💋💋💋 🌹💝 🌷 😂

      • 412 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:25

        Any sword smiles?

      • 413 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 20:35

If I dug deep I probably could find one. Hold on ….😁

      • 414 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:54

        I suppose that works.

      • 415 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 20:58

Now wait one cotton pickin’ minute! I don’t believe it will! Not by a longshot!

      • 416 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:45

Okay, I agree. You must find a real one, then.

      • 417 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 22:48

It must shine. That is my one condition.

      • 418 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:57

Then I’ll have you polish it.

      • 419 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 22:59

I don’t like to polish. You polish.

      • 420 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:24

        Rats and a Heifer!

      • 421 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:42

Let’s go back. Hmmm….Rats not mats? And WHO’s dad are you blaming this time? Gee whiz!

      • 422 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:22

        Yours, of course!

      • 423 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 18:56

        Dizzy with anticipation. OH MY!

      • 424 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:04

        I don’t see why.

      • 425 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 19:16

        You do now.

      • 426 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:06

        Dadblameit, I don’t!

      • 427 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:10

        *silence*

      • 428 Amy Pinkrose April 8, 2014 at 23:51

OH!!! I must tell Susan about this. She’ll work you over! When in Rome …. etc …

      • 429 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 00:10

        Rome? Ba!

      • 430 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 00:23

Yeah, ya got something against Rome? HUH?!

      • 431 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:33

        Well…yes!

      • 432 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:34

Um, no! Never in fact! Why? Just is! That’s why!

      • 433 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:35

        But I tell the truth.

      • 434 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:36

With fingers crossed. I see. YUP.

      • 435 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:36

        Hmm….

      • 436 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:37

        Stumped? ….giggling…..

      • 437 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:37

        You’re stumped?

      • 438 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:37

        Not me. Never. You are!

      • 439 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 01:38

        Are what?

      • 440 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 01:38

        What not! That’s what!

      • 441 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:21

        I…I…forget.

      • 442 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 18:55

        Me too.

      • 443 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:03

        Well.

      • 444 Amy Pinkrose April 9, 2014 at 19:16

        What?

      • 445 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:06

        I was just speaking.

      • 446 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:10

        *silence*

      • 447 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:33

Look: here’s the professorish smiley, that has to count: ==]:{)+

      • 448 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:34

Um, it’s a tad lopside or somethin’ don’t ya think? Say WHAT????

      • 449 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:34

        It is not!

      • 450 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:36

        Is too! HUH! 😤

      • 451 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:30

It’s got crinkles on the forehead.

      • 452 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 20:18

Hehehehehehhe No it does not. You are seeing things. It’s a lot better then yours!

      • 453 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:23

        Then what is it?

      • 454 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 20:34

You tell me. You have the professorish brain. Not I.

      • 455 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:53

        Wrinkles!

      • 456 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 20:56

        No! Crinkles!

      • 457 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:43

Then maybe it was a flower.

      • 458 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 22:47

        Nope. It was a dandy.

      • 459 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:56

        Like a macaroni dandy?

      • 460 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 22:58

No, like a dandelion dandy. *Tee Hee*

      • 461 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:23

        I love those flowers.

      • 462 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 01:56

And here is the Lady’s smnile $*}–{*$ At least it is symmetrical. Hehehehehe

    • 463 Manly Man (@JazzyCouldren) April 10, 2014 at 20:35

      This reply button is ridiculously far up…. :}

I’s done hope you don’t mind the name Susie?

      You’s patronizing me cause… ’cause you’s just calling me manly ’cause you know it done makes me happy, jazzy, and crazy. I’s don’t think you really know about it… :}

      • 464 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 21:02

I am laughing SO hard! Oh no don’t tell me, YOU are the manly man!!! Do you know I have a secret crush on you? Did the Professor tell you? I told him somebody had to like you so I am! Yes, you are happy and jazzy and crazy and it is wonderful! Why Susie? Are you mistaken and talking to Susan. Oops. I’m LadyP. Hehehehehehehe

      • 465 Jazzy Couldren April 11, 2014 at 01:59

        I’s did mean for the comment to appear elsewhere… :}

I’s sure happy you is laughing. But I’s too manly for girls to have crushes on me.You know I’s mean, right?

  19. 466 maryamchahine April 7, 2014 at 14:42

Congratulilolations, Professor! Punchy Land and the Punchy family are plumbtastic : )

    • 467 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:16

Nice PA, M! And thank you! What do you think of the professor’s voice?

      • 468 maryamchahine April 8, 2014 at 14:47

Very nice and very clear! You could easily do audio books or stuff for radio.

      • 469 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:59

Aw, thanks, M! That means a lot to me. Can you tell any age by that?

      • 470 maryamchahine April 10, 2014 at 15:51

I mean it, too : ) Well, I’d say your voice sounds like you are in your early 30’s. However, reading your blog makes me think you are in your 40’s. Am I right about your age?

      • 471 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:04

I really do appreciate that. Now, why does the writing remind you of an older person? Well…isn’t the professor past 88?

      • 472 maryamchahine April 12, 2014 at 13:23

I’m not sure why, but I pick up on things when I read people’s blogs. Sometimes I’m right and sometimes I’m wrong. I read a lot of classic literature, and sometimes your language and the way your characters speak reminds me of the classics. Not many young people are into classics any more, which makes me think you are older.

It’s pretty useless asking about your age I see ; D

      • 473 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:01

In truth, I’ve read a lot of classics. I used to read more than I do now–but time is main problem. You’re very perceptive, M! And thanks for the compliments!

Well–I can’t answer that! *hangs head*

  20. 474 walt walker April 7, 2014 at 13:51

Happy Blogbirthday, Professor! It’s quite a special place you’ve built here in the last year. Congratulations, and many happy returns.

    • 475 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:11

Walt! Thanks so much! The PL is special because of people like you. (Do you find that it effects one’s mind?)

  21. 476 The Dancing Rider April 7, 2014 at 13:43

Happy HAPPY Anniversary, all! :) Enjoyed the bloopers!!! :) “certain elements of dadblamery”! ;-) I love that DS is screwing up! Albuquerque is always so contrary isn’t it?!

    • 477 Professor VJ Duke April 7, 2014 at 13:46

Thank you, DR! *laughing* I felt the warning screen should be used! DS messes up all the time! I should have had some one laugh at him… He is! It’s hard to hold a conversation with him, you know.

      • 478 Susan P April 7, 2014 at 17:26

I totally get that it’s hard to have a convo with DS.

      • 479 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:34

It is. We should try together.

      • 480 Susan P April 8, 2014 at 12:05

You do know he will always have the last word no matter what it takes for him to have it?

      • 481 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:02

Yes–which would be vexing…unless we played a joke on him.

      • 482 Susan P April 9, 2014 at 18:02

There would be repercussions. Serious ones.

      • 483 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:51

Yes, he’d get mean, I’m sure.

      • 484 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 17:06

And he’d get a bunch of other disgruntled ones.

      • 485 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:08

        Like sidekicks or something.

      • 486 Susan P April 11, 2014 at 14:59

        Yeah, he usually has trumps.

      • 487 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:51

        Haha. Which might be Drake.

      • 488 Susan P April 12, 2014 at 14:36

Don’t you think Drake is a tad creepy dadblameit?

      • 489 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:03

I sure do! But I like how he laughs.

      • 490 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 14:23

        Creepy laughs!

      • 491 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:21

Not as bad as DS or the Veezler though.

      • 492 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 20:37

I don’t know. They should have a creepy laugh tournament. Personally, I think that DS would win hands down, but hey, what do I know?

      • 493 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:10

More than I do on that subject, for reasons I can’t divulge!

      • 494 Susan P April 15, 2014 at 20:45

        Harumph

      • 495 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 00:59

        I’m maybe sorry.

      • 496 Susan P April 17, 2014 at 20:06

Maybe I’ll let you off the frying pan.

      • 497 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 16:00

But I doubt it you know.

      • 498 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 16:38

Well, I haven’t actually plugged it in yet…

      • 499 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:04

Frying pans don’t need plugged in!

      • 500 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 17:07

        My electric one does.

      • 501 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:42

        Now that is a wonder.

      • 502 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:02

I know, right? Who knew? Like tech help asking people whose pc doesn’t work if they have it plugged in.

      • 503 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 18:06

        *laughing lots*

      • 504 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 18:18

        *giggling*

  22. 505 Debbie April 7, 2014 at 13:42

Congrats on the anniversary, Professor! Nobody wants flies — they’re the bane of summer months.

    • 506 Professor VJ Duke April 7, 2014 at 13:44

Yes, aren’t they? I hate flies. Especially those big ones that try to bite. That’s why I carry a flyswatter like a sword.

  23. 507 PorterGirl April 7, 2014 at 13:35

Haha! Fabulous! Here’s wishing you and the PL a very happy birthday, Professor. I hope you will be entertaining us for many years to come :D My life would not be complete without you all!

    • 508 Professor VJ Duke April 7, 2014 at 13:43

Lucy, that’s such a nice thing to say! The PL wouldn’t be complete without the PF! And thanks for the BD wish. I feel quite old and shabby now, you know.

      • 509 PorterGirl April 7, 2014 at 14:26

Ha! Never, Professor. I refuse to believe it. Old and shabby? Pah. Have some lovely birthday cashews and forget all about the passage of time!

      • 510 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 01:13

Aw thanks, Lucy! I will have some cashews. Then I must do my 30 pull-ups, or my training partner will holler.

      • 511 PorterGirl April 8, 2014 at 05:15

        Eek!

      • 512 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 22:59

        I know! What a work-out!

  24. 513 FictionFan April 7, 2014 at 13:08

Wowawee, Prof and team! What a punchalicious start to Anniversary Week! Manothunder, it’s been a plumbtastic year, chickit! So many congratulations, I can’t begin to congratulate you!

(I love the way both Schwarzy and DS stay in character even when it all goes horribly wrong. And Schwarzy’s little voice-breaking incident was a humdinger! *wipes tears of laughter*)

    • 514 Professor VJ Duke April 7, 2014 at 13:41

*laughing lots* And I always considered that PA a veiled insult. But that’s just my rotten mind. (You use PA better than I do, FEF–which is a wonder and a half.)

Hahaha, yes! Schwarz and DS can get angrier than that. But you’d be amazed sometimes how long such a thing takes…

      • 515 FictionFan April 7, 2014 at 20:21

I’m gardoobled – why an insult? (Laws, what a togoggin, Chicky-Woot-Woot!)

But I bet it involves a considerable amount of chuckling – evil and otherwise…

      • 516 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 02:02

Well, ’cause it’s so many you end up not saying any. I hope that helps. But I know you didn’t mean it that way! It’s just my dadblame mind! (See? That’s the most beautiful thing I’ve heard.)

It does! Some days, though… The professor has something nice for you this week, FEF.

      • 517 FictionFan April 8, 2014 at 13:21

*laughing* Yes, I see what you mean! Well how about a different language then – Co-gháirdeachas! Meal do naidheachd! (Gaelic – and no I don’t speak it, and I don’t know how to pronounce it either!) Or Schwarzy-language – Congratulilolalalalalations!

The Professor has something nice for me every week and last Friday’s nice thing was one of the nicest nice things FF has ever been given! *huge smile* But I think I know what this week’s nice thing is going to be and…CAN’T WAIT!!! *dons uniform and prepares to go to warp*

      • 518 Professor VJ Duke April 8, 2014 at 23:28

Hahaha! I once tried to learn Gaelic, you know. Wanted to be Irish–which is a wonder. *laughs* Schwarz…and his la’s! That’s so true.

Aw, that makes me so happy about last week! Oh yes. Take me with you. I think Schwarzy may be in it.

      • 519 FictionFan April 9, 2014 at 13:28

Oh, maybe you can pronounce it then! But you should want to be Scottish, not Irish.

Hurray! I thought you said once ages ago that Schwarzy wouldn’t be in it…that makes it even more exciting!! *anticipatory smile*

      • 520 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:42

I know how to say hello in gaelic, that’s it! I’d rather be professorish, please.

*laughs* I can’t say anything else. A non-discloser agreement, you know.

      • 521 FictionFan April 9, 2014 at 19:43

That’s more than I do. I can say ‘Cheers!’ but that’s about it. You could be Scottish agus professorish! (Agus is the only other word I know = and)

Not long now… *does a little happy dance*

      • 522 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:13

But I’m not Scottish…what about that, you see?

*tries to do a dance as well*

      • 523 FictionFan April 10, 2014 at 13:48

I could pull a few strings and have you made an honorary Scot. You can already say ‘Och’…you just need to master ‘Aye’ now and you’ll be fluent.

Awwwwww! Did you enjoy it? I bet you looked really coolio…

      • 524 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:52

Well, I appreciate that… Aye, I do! Oh dear. Did I just fail?

Well, I can’t quite get the hang of it.

      • 525 FictionFan April 10, 2014 at 22:06

Passed with flying colours! Your new name is Maister Hamish McDuke, Laird of the Clan McPunchy! A celebratory haggis will arrive shortly…

Improvisation is most of the fun…

      • 526 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:24

Awesome! I just wrote that down, so I won’t be forgetting it. Can you keep my haggis alive, please?

        It is! ‘Specially in music.

      • 527 FictionFan April 12, 2014 at 00:05

OK, Maister…but be careful! They can be temperamental.

        Ah, there speaks a jazzman!

      • 528 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:28

I still think you’re not telling me the whole truth about the beasts…

For sure! And humans improvise all the time. At least, the professor does.

  25. 529 Julie Harris April 7, 2014 at 13:02

Happy Birthday to you and the gang! Loved your bloopers :)

    • 530 Professor VJ Duke April 7, 2014 at 13:40

Many, many thanks, Julie! Aren’t bloopers just vexing?

  26. 531 L. Marie April 7, 2014 at 12:45

Happy Blogoversary, Professor! And many mooooooooooooorrrrre!!! So glad to have discovered this blog! Loved the bloopers!

    • 532 Professor VJ Duke April 7, 2014 at 13:38

Aw, thanks, L! It’s been great having you about, for sure. Yes, too many bloopers happen!

  27. 533 E. April 7, 2014 at 12:37

    Happy bloggy birthday! :)

    • 534 Professor VJ Duke April 7, 2014 at 13:38

Thanks, E! I feel old now, you know. Or, older than normal. Which will make me ancient. Did you know the professor was in his 80’s?

      • 535 E. April 7, 2014 at 13:43

“Was”? How old is he now?
If it makes you feel any younger, my blog is going on three years old.

      • 536 Professor VJ Duke April 7, 2014 at 13:46

        100’s, I think. It’s a wonder, huh?

        That’s a young blog!

      • 537 E. April 7, 2014 at 13:48

He skipped his 90s entirely? That is impressive!
