The Professor is Engaged!

NOTE: Start Here is open, and it features The Official Punchy Trailer! Please take a look. Start Here. (That means all the professorish updating has come to an end!)

***

Yes, the Professor is engaged!

Engaged with Amelia…

On the field of battle!

I’m not sure if she knows it yet, but I do. (We fought here and here.)

You see, Amelia has been a bother, and this Professor isn’t sure what to do. So I went around the Punchy Lands and asked specific Punchy Lander’s what they thought.

This is what they had to say:

Daddy Salami: Tell her to come over me house for some supper. Heahaha!

Marlin: Man, just play it cool. I don’t think you play it cool.

Mr. Ratherquite: Sir, you should definitely take her out to dinner and ask her forgiveness—at once!

Schwarz Tauptinker: I think she’s nice. Chickit.

Ruber Salami: P.VJ, I really don’t care about your problems. Look at me problem—me dad!

Fats Henry: You take things too seriously, nut!

Mr. Magi: Just explain to her how you feel.

Well, Punchy Family, which one should I heed? Which PL’er is right?

I think Mr. Ratherquite is on to something. But my suggestion is a variation on his. Invite her to dinner in Mr. Ratherquite’s name or Schwarz’s.

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:04

Haha! That would be interesting. I bet she wouldn’t come, just to be rotten.

  2. 3 erinkenobi2893 April 14, 2014 at 18:38

I think that you should send her a bouquet that’s infested with mosquitoes. X-D

    • 4 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:40

*laughing lots and hard* Really big ones, huh?

      • 5 erinkenobi2893 April 16, 2014 at 22:38

        >:-D YESSSS
I went to camp in Kansas one year. They had mosquitoes the size of quarters there! My dad was shocked when he came to pick me up.

      • 6 Professor VJ Duke April 17, 2014 at 16:06

        Yucketh! Glad you survived!

      • 7 erinkenobi2893 April 17, 2014 at 17:41

        So’m I. X-P

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 15:44

        I think you’re a warrior.

      • 9 erinkenobi2893 April 18, 2014 at 17:05

Maybe by some measure… Love the new background, by the way. ;-)
(Between you and me, I am secretly a Ranger, so technically a warrior, but also part woodswoman and Robin-Hood-esque outlaw.) :-P

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:41

Many thanks! (Okay, that’s really coolio. I’d like to be one, you know. Robin Hood is my hero.)

      • 11 erinkenobi2893 April 18, 2014 at 22:28

(I live my life part-time in Middle-Earth. There, I’m known as Mithiel, daughter of Faramir, princess of Ithilien and captain of Gondor’s Ranger Corps. ;-P)

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 13:04

I like Faramir lots, but he’s not as powerful as Eomer!

      • 13 erinkenobi2893 April 21, 2014 at 16:47

True. :-P I can see Faramir threading through a crowd, but his brother and Eomer… they’d be bowling people over. :-P

      • 14 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 21:02

Haha, they certainly would! I’d like to see that.

      • 15 erinkenobi2893 April 21, 2014 at 21:28

And Faramir and Aragorn chasing after them apologizing to people! *rolls on floor laughing*

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke April 22, 2014 at 13:46

*laughs* I think that would be the grandest sight ever!

      • 17 erinkenobi2893 April 22, 2014 at 14:39

        Indeed. X-D

      • 18 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 00:22

        Haha!

      • 19 erinkenobi2893 April 23, 2014 at 13:02

Oh dear, Raya just knocked the fan over… again… *facepalm*

      • 20 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 18:38

*laughing* I hope it’s not busted?

      • 21 erinkenobi2893 April 23, 2014 at 19:12

Fortunately, no. But it’s annoying, and it spills dust all over the floor!

      • 22 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 14:11

Oh dear. Did you have to sweep up?

      • 23 erinkenobi2893 April 24, 2014 at 14:17

Or vacuum, depending on if it’s tile or carpet. >:-/

      • 24 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 15:07

        Oh, I hate vacuuming!

      • 25 erinkenobi2893 April 24, 2014 at 15:36

So do I. Grrr. *shoots fire at the vacuum* You’re a Sith… can you electrocute yours? :-P

      • 26 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 23:00

I have, you know. It’s hard to control all the electricity or lightening, you know?

      • 27 erinkenobi2893 April 24, 2014 at 23:04

Yes, I get the feeling… *shoots ice at the vacuum instead* Let it go! Let it go! Can’t hold it back anymore! Let it go! Let it go! Turn away and slam the door!

      • 28 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 23:31

*laughing lots* I didn’t know you had those powers too!

      • 29 erinkenobi2893 April 24, 2014 at 23:44

        Doesn’t everyone these days? :-P

      • 30 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 12:47

Not the professor! I refuse to embrace it!!!

      • 31 erinkenobi2893 April 25, 2014 at 16:26

Yay for you! :-) Seriously, I believe that ice is beginning to supersede fire/lightning as the chief magical power.

      • 32 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 18:22

But we both know fire is more powerful.

      • 33 erinkenobi2893 April 25, 2014 at 23:00

More powerful? More destructive, more like. :-P

      • 34 Professor VJ Duke April 26, 2014 at 16:05

Oh I don’t know about that!

      • 35 erinkenobi2893 April 26, 2014 at 17:15

Well… I don’t think it’s really a question of “more powerful.” I mean, each of the elements trumps the others under certain circumstances, and under others only feeds them. Sometimes fire evaporates water, and at others fire is quenched; wind can blow a fire out or only spread it. And it is possible to fight fire with fire, by controlled burns, etc. That’s why it’s sort of forbidden for an undertrained Wielder to try to use the elements in “Bound to the Flame”; if improperly used, the very opposite of the Wielder’s intent may occur.
But yes, fire is one of the more powerful elements, and the most dangerous if it gets out of control.

      • 36 Professor VJ Duke April 27, 2014 at 18:51

Yes, big fires are hard to stop. Still, it’d be the one I wanted.

      • 37 erinkenobi2893 April 27, 2014 at 19:55

        :-P
But wouldn’t being able to control fire mean that you could stop them as well? That would be so neat!

      • 38 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 14:38

Now that would. I suppose you would be able to do that! I’d be a firefighter, then. *laughs*

      • 39 erinkenobi2893 April 28, 2014 at 22:21

X-D WHICH WOULD BE SO TOTALLY AWESOME!!!

      • 40 Professor VJ Duke April 29, 2014 at 17:39

        Really?

      • 41 erinkenobi2893 April 29, 2014 at 17:43

Sorry, this is what I’m like on too much iced tea and too little sleep. :-P And yes, definitely! X-D

      • 42 Professor VJ Duke April 29, 2014 at 18:02

Haha! I agree, I think. The professor could use more sleep.

      • 43 erinkenobi2893 April 30, 2014 at 14:05

Indeed. But we are in the middle of a war… sort of. :-P *absent-mindedly starts humming “This is War”*

      • 44 Professor VJ Duke April 30, 2014 at 16:07

        True. Sleep must wait!

      • 45 erinkenobi2893 May 1, 2014 at 14:31

*begins to scribble for dear life*

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke May 1, 2014 at 20:02

        You changed your pic!

      • 47 erinkenobi2893 May 2, 2014 at 01:02

Mmmhmm. It’s Lancelot. But Iris (my IRL best friend) is bugging me to change it so it’s about to change yet again. :-P

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke May 2, 2014 at 13:02

He looks like a good fighter.

      • 49 erinkenobi2893 May 2, 2014 at 13:13

He is. Maybe I’ll just switch to Horatio (Hornblower) for a while… but she wants me to use Mordred, from the same show… *sigh* Choices, choices… Which do you think I should use, Professor???

      • 50 Professor VJ Duke May 2, 2014 at 20:45

        Oh, I like Ector.

      • 51 erinkenobi2893 May 3, 2014 at 13:07

He’s funny. X-P Have you read “The Once and Future King” cycle by T.H. White?

      • 52 Professor VJ Duke May 3, 2014 at 19:11

I have not! (Ooo, is that a pic of Anakin?)

      • 53 erinkenobi2893 May 3, 2014 at 19:54

You should… it’s good but sad towards the end. (Yep, it probably is. :-P)

      • 54 Professor VJ Duke May 5, 2014 at 12:46

        I like sad endings!

      • 55 erinkenobi2893 May 5, 2014 at 15:01

        Really?
(And were you asking about my new profile pic? It’s actually not Anakin, it’s young Mordred from BBC Merlin. ;-P)

      • 56 Professor VJ Duke May 5, 2014 at 18:09

Yes, I do! (Oh…is he bad?)

      • 57 erinkenobi2893 May 5, 2014 at 23:55

Yes, they can be fun… X-D In a sort of tearjerking way… we really are terrible, tormenting our readers like this…
(He’s not really that bad in BBC’s Merlin… as a kid, though, he’s kind of creepy. As an adult, he doesn’t turn bad until the Great Dragon’s prophecies turn Merlin against him, as a result making the prophecy come true. :’-( It’s a really sad story, actually… I’ve been thinking about writing a story in which Mordred hears about the prophecy and sets out to change his fate. Your thoughts?)
Oh, and have Merlin and the kids been found yet???

      • 58 Professor VJ Duke May 6, 2014 at 12:47

I think it would be so cool to see Mordred try and change the prophecy. You should do it!

I’m not sure. Merlin has turned up. But the kids…

      • 59 erinkenobi2893 May 6, 2014 at 13:02

Especially if I did a sort of good Mordred who is kind of scarred by what Morgan has done to him and really tries hard to be a good person but is hindered by his past… 0_0 What if he was able to use magic (like he was in BBC’s “Merlin”), and kept having these outbreaks (fostered by Morgan) in which he wasn’t really able to control what he was doing?
We should send out a rescue party for the kids! And question Merlin as to what happened.

      • 60 Professor VJ Duke May 6, 2014 at 13:04

Yes! That sounds super cool. I like the idea that he is sorta struggling. Neatio.

We should! I’m sure Merlin would answer that he has no idea.

      • 61 erinkenobi2893 May 6, 2014 at 15:14

Yeah. X-D It makes it fun for us writers. :-P
Do you think he got brained by a rock monster coming out of the caves and has amnesia?

      • 62 Professor VJ Duke May 6, 2014 at 15:57

*laughing* I’d believe if he was brained at some point in his life! But it had to have happened long ago. You see, he’s been this way for some time.

      • 63 erinkenobi2893 May 6, 2014 at 18:18

Oh. So periodically recurring amnesia, then? ;-P Or he just got separated?

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke May 6, 2014 at 23:08

The first! Maybe he was up to no good too.

      • 65 erinkenobi2893 May 8, 2014 at 11:12

Ah. But why would he lose a bunch of kids???

      • 66 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 14:55

        He’s scattered. And don’t you think he’s a bit…wicked?

      • 67 erinkenobi2893 May 9, 2014 at 14:55

Maybe just a bit… And yes, he definitely sounds scattered. In the BBC show he is just a tad as well… scattered, I mean. :-P He’s extremely clumsy and it’s adorable. :-P

      • 68 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 20:47

        *laughing* I can picture that!

      • 69 erinkenobi2893 May 10, 2014 at 14:31

Plus his cheeky grin is just adorable. :-P

      • 70 Professor VJ Duke May 12, 2014 at 12:54

        Hmmm…

      • 71 erinkenobi2893 May 13, 2014 at 13:41

It’s hilarious when he’s up to stuff behind Arthur’s back, and when Arthur is verbally abusing him… :-P

      • 72 Professor VJ Duke May 14, 2014 at 13:01

        I think you’re right!

      • 73 erinkenobi2893 May 15, 2014 at 14:53

        Merlin is awesome!!! ^_^

      • 74 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:10

        He is!

      • 75 erinkenobi2893 May 16, 2014 at 16:19

:-P Watching “The Poisoned Chalice.” ^_^ Arthur saves’ Merlin’s life AGAINST Uther’s orders!!!! :-D

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:04

Uther…we don’t ever hear much on him.

      • 77 erinkenobi2893 May 19, 2014 at 12:05

Ehhh, there’s not much to hear. In the BBC show, he’s not very nice. And not very good at admitting it when he’s wrong.

  3. 78 maryamchahine April 12, 2014 at 15:41

Hahaha :D Fess up, Professor! You like Amelia more than you admit ; D Just look at the title of your post. You give it all away right there. Go the way of Mr. Ratherquite. If that doesn’t suit you, bring your katana to dinner. Then do that famous pose in that painting of King Arthur (I think) bending down to the queen with his sword. Tell her that you will always love and protect her. Make sure to have a certain professorish glint in the eye to help you out. It’s also very important for the katana to have a glint so it catches her eye, too. She’ll probably be running the other way before you know it ;D If that doesn’t work, then you must proceed to extreme plan C. Disappear completely for a while, but not really as you will be dressed up as someone else, and Amelia won’t even recognize you. Well…at least we hope so. It seems that the Professor stands out in all occassions ; )

    • 79 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:14

*laughing lots* At first, I thought you meant to bring the katana to kill her with! Goodness me. How could the professor have fallen for her? Though you do have some interesting points. Perhaps she will run away? And I do like disguises, but I fear you’re right: I kinda stand out…how’d you know that anyway?

  4. 80 ladycheetah7 April 11, 2014 at 18:00

O.K. This is what you can do. Play it cool. Invite her over Daddy Salami’s house and then have DS and Ruber get rid of her. And if anyone cares to ask, just say the last time you saw her was over @ DS & Ruber’s house. Be sure to pay them well and also act like you are going into the house or go in and then leave like you forgot something…..

    • 81 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 19:04

*laughing lots* That is awesome. But you’re right about paying well. Otherwise, DS might try to get me too! I do wonder what he’ll do to her.

      • 82 ladycheetah7 April 11, 2014 at 19:11

The less you know the better. If he can make his wife disappear then he is the man for the job. Now in the event Amelia is a little bit too much for DS and Ruber to handle, call MM for back up.

      • 83 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:23

Haha, that’s a very good point, Lady. Then, she might get tossed in the bathtub…haha!

      • 84 ladycheetah7 April 11, 2014 at 22:24

        :-)

      • 85 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:51

Thanks, Lady. I really do love your advice.

  5. 86 Jackie April 10, 2014 at 22:18

I already told you what I thought you should do which makes Mr. Magi the one I agree with. Honestly, I don’t see this ending well. :-/

    • 87 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:28

Yes, me either. It’s all vexing, you know.

  6. 88 xoxosanaz90210 April 10, 2014 at 01:56

Hahaha try everything except maybe Ruber said because he didn’t really say anything. And cross it off the check list as you do!

    • 89 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:35

Haha, yes! He didn’t, you’re right. This comment is awesome. I should try it all! But…even Mr. R’s suggestion?

      • 90 xoxosanaz90210 April 11, 2014 at 14:51

His suggestion should be the second last option after all else fails. (the last one Mr Magi’s).

      • 91 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:49

I love how you think! I should pick a more vicious one first…

  7. 92 Julie Harris April 10, 2014 at 01:31

Mr. Magi has it all figured out. There is a fine line between love and hate you know… It’s quite possible that Amelia feels the same way.

    • 93 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:34

But I kinda want to get rid of her, too. You’re speaking wisdom for sure.

  8. 94 Simply Skeptical April 9, 2014 at 23:00

Hmm.. Have I misunderstood? Are you madly in love? Is this one of those love/hate relationships? Forget it not solvable.

    • 95 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:31

The professor is not! I must needs escape…

  9. 96 The Reading Girl April 9, 2014 at 22:36

I really dont understand? Are you in battle of fighting or in a battle of love and you can’t seem to tell her how you feel?

    • 97 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:31

Well, she kinda chases me about. (And I want rid of her.) Help, Yazmin!

      • 98 The Reading Girl April 10, 2014 at 01:47

hmm…all I can say is that if you do not want her and she does want you then you must tell her your feelings. You must before its too late, you know. Then it is a complete mess.

      • 99 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:33

But I think I have. She doesn’t seem to want to listen. What should I do?

      • 100 The Reading Girl April 11, 2014 at 01:25

hmmm I just re-read all your conversations with her and I think she just wants a little attention from you and little something from you…I don’t know. Don’t avoid her that much, just be a little bit nice ;)

      • 101 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:37

        That’s a thought too. Have I been somewhat…mean?

  10. 102 Catherine April 9, 2014 at 21:46

I think Mr. Magi is on the right track! You should probably listen to him, since he seems like he knows what he’s doing.

    • 103 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:29

Yes, he usually does. But I do want rid of her…rats…

      • 104 Catherine April 10, 2014 at 02:32

You could tell her nicely how you feel…because if you feel like getting rid of her, that might work out!

      • 105 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:36

You mean, I should tell her to leave? You’re right: I should. But I’m nervous about it!

      • 106 Catherine April 11, 2014 at 01:21

I find that the saying of nerve-wracking things should be done at places like a masquerade ball, so you can wear a mask to disguise your face. Maybe you should try that!

      • 107 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:36

Now that is a thought. She couldn’t see me cringing then!

      • 108 Catherine April 12, 2014 at 01:14

Yes! See what I mean? :) You should try it.

      • 109 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:53

        I do! It’s brilliant, Catherine!

      • 110 Catherine April 15, 2014 at 00:03

        Why, thank you.

      • 111 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:21

        *smiles like the professor*

  11. 112 laugraeva April 9, 2014 at 21:04

So you’re in battle but you love her?
“Why does love always feel like a BATTLEFIELD, A BATTLEFIELD, A BATTLEFIELD…”
    Anyone else remember that song?
Your blogs are like forums dude.
    I’m going off on a tangent… Laters

    • 113 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:28

The professor does not! I think she’s chasing me. What should I do?

Never heard of the song. What is it exactly?

Isn’t it awesome? *smiles* We discuss all sorts of things, don’t we?

      • 114 laugraeva April 10, 2014 at 06:49

Haha. Oh well, do as others have said, and tell her how you only see her as a mate.
It’s a terrible American pop song!
And yes – you’ve certainly done well with your reader relationships!

      • 115 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:41

Will you do it for me?

        Haha!

        It’s a family, you know.

      • 116 laugraeva April 11, 2014 at 06:23

        Man up Prof!

      • 117 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:42

Well, then I better get my sword.

  12. 118 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 9, 2014 at 20:30

You don’t really need to ask me what I think, Duketh. I think Mr. Magi and Mr. Ratherquite are your go to men on this one. If Amelia is for you this is what you should do, first.

    • 119 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:27

What about next, though? (But the professor doesn’t like Amelia.)

      • 120 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 10, 2014 at 03:10

Send her to DS he’ll tell her to scoot.

(You simply tell her to go away, or move. Maybe you should start with not hanging out where she does…I suppose that would help this a bit.)

      • 121 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:38

        Or worse, I’m sure.

But she searches for me, and won’t leave me when I ask!

      • 122 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 10, 2014 at 20:31

        I’m sure, too.

You ask her and she still doesn’t leave you alone? Do you want me to take her to the bathroom and tell her how it’s gonna be, Duke?

      • 123 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:51

*laughing* Yes, please, Audith! (I’d be scared to go to the bathroom, too!)

      • 124 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 11, 2014 at 21:27

*nope* You have to do it. I want to see how you decide to take care of her or take care of her. *winks* (I wouldn’t if I were you…)

      • 125 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:47

I catch your wicked meaning there! Actually, I can’t go in the ladies bathroom though.

      • 126 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 12, 2014 at 00:53

*giggles cause he’s pretty wicked inspite of my trying*
No, you can’t, you should know this, Duke. You’ll have to take her to a busy public place. Like, like…a baseball game. NO! Wait, that’s a special place, you can’t take her there. Take her to a parade…

      • 127 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:45

Oh dear. I hate parades. How about…to the moon?

      • 128 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 14, 2014 at 18:35

        Okay, the moon it is…

      • 129 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:38

        It might be cold.

      • 130 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 14, 2014 at 19:23

As long as the only one’s coming back are Duketh, Audeth and Charlie

      • 131 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 17:53

        That might be murder.

      • 132 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 15, 2014 at 18:39

        No, it’s called being lost

      • 133 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:35

We are not! I was born with a sense of direction…like Kusco.

      • 134 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 15, 2014 at 20:12

        My nickname is Homing Pigeon….

      • 135 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 00:44

        *laughing* No! No?

      • 136 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 16, 2014 at 03:57

*wonders why you’re laughing* It tis!!!
I can find my way out of anywhere, Duke. I just follow the sun and my best of instincts. I am fantastic to watch. I thank my father. He used to take me driving on country roads for practice. He’s grab a six pack of beer and sit in the backseat, while I drove him around. We talked about directions…north, south, east, west. I remember fearing I’d get lost, but he’d always say, “Audrey, look around. Have we been turning left or right a lot? Well, then start turning the other way now…” So you see, I learned quickly how to get back home. I think it’s also why I love long drives now. I don’t fear getting lost and just enjoy the moment.

      • 137 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 20:03

Well, because it was a funny name to give yourself, I think.

That’s coolio. I’ve never worried about getting lost either. And I love backroads. It seems like you had really great times with your dad.

      • 138 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 16, 2014 at 20:45

I didn’t give it to myself…I earned it. A nickname is given, not made by yourself.

I still do. When I can. *smiles and then becomes pensive*

      • 139 Professor VJ Duke April 17, 2014 at 15:59

Well, it’s a rather cool nickname, too, btw.

        That’s awesome.

      • 140 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 17, 2014 at 17:14

To be likened to a bird…no, not that cool.

      • 141 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 15:36

It is so! Not everyone, though, can be likened to a falcon, like the professor.

      • 142 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 18, 2014 at 16:06

A falcon…oh my, you are something, for sure.

      • 143 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 16:40

That’s my favorite bird. Never been compared to it, really.

      • 144 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 18, 2014 at 16:51

It is a fantastic bird of favorites, Duke. I will compare you to one, if you’d like. Would be easy to do.

      • 145 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:21

        Yes, please!

      • 146 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 20, 2014 at 05:48

        Okay, be watching…

      • 147 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 13:12

        *laughing* I will.

      • 148 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 21, 2014 at 13:49

*smiles at you sweetly because I wrote of you as a falcon*
        You are really something, Duke.

      • 149 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 20:39

Did you, did you? I’ll be around soon…

        Something of a dadblamery, yes.

      • 150 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 21, 2014 at 20:46

        Not for today, however.

      • 151 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 21:12

*laughing* Aha. I’ll have to guess when it comes, then. That will be cool.

      • 152 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 21, 2014 at 21:31

Oh, you’ll have no doubt they’re for you. Tomorrow, so no surprises, wear your armor.

      • 153 Professor VJ Duke April 22, 2014 at 13:52

        Should we use the pillow?

      • 154 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 22, 2014 at 15:45

        Most assuredly

      • 155 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 00:31

        Okay, then!

      • 156 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 23, 2014 at 03:00

        *are we on the pillow*

      • 157 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 18:27

I think there are ticks in it.

      • 158 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 23, 2014 at 19:58

        *throws it away*

      • 159 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 14:16

We should collect them. They can be used as weapons.

      • 160 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 24, 2014 at 19:21

        Collect ticks? Yick.

      • 161 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 23:21

It’s a spicy sport, for sure.

      • 162 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 25, 2014 at 02:44

It tis a yicky one, actually.

      • 163 Professor VJ Duke April 25, 2014 at 13:12

I suppose you have a point there.

      • 164 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 25, 2014 at 19:32

        *of course I do*

      • 165 Professor VJ Duke April 26, 2014 at 15:52

        I have a katana point.

      • 166 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 26, 2014 at 21:12

You mean the katana you’re now afraid of?

      • 167 Professor VJ Duke April 27, 2014 at 19:02

I am not afraid of it!

      • 168 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 27, 2014 at 23:31

        You won’t sharpen it…

      • 169 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 14:46

        It’s so sharp already.

      • 170 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 28, 2014 at 19:18

        *laughs* I believe you.

      • 171 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 19:31

        And…oily…

      • 172 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 28, 2014 at 19:40

        Oily…huh?
I saw a brown lizard today on a bright green plant today, Duke. I thought of you. I tried to catch it. Wiggled like a girl, I did. I just can’t catch them!

      • 173 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 19:44

Yes, they sent it oiled. Not sure why.

Haha! I probably wouldn’t have been able to get it either–without killing it.

      • 174 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 28, 2014 at 19:51

You must know why? Why, Duke?

Oh my, he probably would have only lost a tail. Those grow back.

      • 175 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 20:06

Maybe so it slides out of the sheath smoothly.

I wish I could grow tails.

      • 176 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 28, 2014 at 20:13

Yes, tis my thought as well.

You want more than one tail? We’d have to braid them for you though… that would be a sight for sure. Greedy!

      • 177 Professor VJ Duke April 28, 2014 at 20:25

        Oh, that would be girly!

      • 178 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 28, 2014 at 20:34

I know, you’re not girly, right? *winks* Well, you said tails…would your tails move on their own like Medusa’s hair? That would be something!!!

      • 179 Professor VJ Duke April 29, 2014 at 17:21

Maybe we should skip the tails!

      • 180 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 29, 2014 at 19:21

Yes, what a fine idea. I can’t be seen walking about with a man who has tails.

      • 181 Professor VJ Duke April 29, 2014 at 21:59

Now wait a second. What about coat tails?

      • 182 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 30, 2014 at 00:37

        Oooo, I like those!!

      • 183 Professor VJ Duke April 30, 2014 at 15:53

        Fancy!

      • 184 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 30, 2014 at 20:05

        Tis!

      • 185 Professor VJ Duke May 1, 2014 at 12:54

        ==]:-)

      • 186 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 1, 2014 at 15:39

        *smiles*

      • 187 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 10, 2014 at 03:11

Send her to DS he’ll tell her to scoot. Or it seems you could double date with friends in hopes she falls for, umm Schwarz.

(You simply tell her to go away, or move. Maybe you should start with not hanging out where she does…I suppose that would help this a bit.)

      • 188 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:38

FEF would kill me if she fell for Schwarz.

      • 189 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 10, 2014 at 20:31

Oh, well, we can’t have that!! Parker?

      • 190 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:51

        Well…don’t you like him?

      • 191 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 11, 2014 at 21:28

Audith has her eye on someone else. Amelia can have Parker, if she can pull herself away from you.

      • 192 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:48

Who has caught your eye, Audith?

      • 193 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 12, 2014 at 00:54

        First, who threw it, Duketh??

      • 194 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:46

        *laughing* I did!

      • 195 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 14, 2014 at 18:36

        How rude!! *laughing, too*

      • 196 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:38

        You’re just dodging me question!

      • 197 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 14, 2014 at 19:24

I know and I do it beautifully.

      • 198 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 17:53

I must admit, it is rather well done.

      • 199 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 15, 2014 at 18:41

        * you pick someone*

      • 200 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:35

        You’re still not telling me.

      • 201 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 15, 2014 at 20:12

        I know.

      • 202 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 00:44

You’re doing this on purpose, huh?

      • 203 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 16, 2014 at 04:06

Well, I think you’ve asked every woman here to help you with riding Amelia. Will the real supporter please stand up?
        *crickets* *toads* *didgeridoos* *coyotes* *bees*
*wire pulled tightly and played with a fork*

Fine, if Amelia is going to ever leave you alone, I think Audith must have eyes for the professor in the PL. Tis the only way. *waits to hear the thud*

      • 204 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 20:04

        Didgeridoos…that’s cool. And a wonder.

No thud, you know. But what do you mean? I fear…it went over my head.

      • 205 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 16, 2014 at 20:46

        Nothing to wonder about.

        Mine, too.

      • 206 Professor VJ Duke April 17, 2014 at 16:00

I think you have to circular breathe when you play them.

        *laughs* Well, that’s that, then!

      • 207 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 17, 2014 at 17:16

Yes, I have tried. Way too hard!!

*frowns* I hate when this happens…

      • 208 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 15:38

        You’ve tried circular breathing?

I’m not sure why, you know.

      • 209 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 18, 2014 at 16:09

I’ve tried playing one before. I teach a quick session on Australia for for our a multi-cultural lessons each year. My friend, who is from Peru brings me her Dig, which she received while visiting Australia.

        Me either. *boos lots*

      • 210 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 16:40

That’s cool. I bet it takes strong lungs. Circular breathing isn’t too hard, though.

        Hands a cashew.

      • 211 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 18, 2014 at 16:52

Yes, maybe that’s it. I couldn’t make the beautiful sound. Well, I’m sure you do it easity. You have training.

        Gobbles it!

      • 212 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:22

        I’d probably be challenged!

        Haha!

      • 213 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 18, 2014 at 17:28

        You like challenge, admit it.

*knows you have more in your shirt pocket*

      • 214 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:58

        I admit it.

*eats them all* No, I don’t!

      • 215 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 20, 2014 at 05:59

        *sucker!*
*off to buy you one to practice on*

*sad because you didn’t share, but one* Shocked that he is a hoarder of nuts and selfish for not sharing more than one.
        *lays it on thick*

      • 216 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 13:17

I’ll try it, I suppose. Make it golden, please.

Oh dear… *hands Audith the package*

      • 217 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 21, 2014 at 14:01

Good! Golden like the egg? Wowawee, Duke.

        It’s already empty. *walks away*

      • 218 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 20:43

        Yes, please!

It is not! I left three for you.

      • 219 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 21, 2014 at 20:50

        Okay!

        Sticks them in your ear.

      • 220 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 21:15

I think I’ve upset, Audith. *runs off to buy more cashews*

      • 221 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 21, 2014 at 21:35

        *get the salty ones*

      • 222 Professor VJ Duke April 22, 2014 at 13:56

Now that’s an interest. We all know they’re better unsalted.

      • 223 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 22, 2014 at 15:48

        Salted! Little bits, I think.

      • 224 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 00:32

        Hmm…they’re good with everything, too.

      • 225 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 23, 2014 at 02:42

Yea…they totally are, Duketh. *gets all dreamy about it* Hmmm….Hmmm? Are you eating some without me again?!!

      • 226 Professor VJ Duke April 23, 2014 at 18:25

I am not! They’re best with some chinese.

      • 227 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 23, 2014 at 19:53

Let’s go for some, shall we? I need some tea.

      • 228 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 14:14

        And muffins. Okay, then!

      • 229 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 24, 2014 at 19:16

I’ll bake the muffins, they always get them wrong.

      • 230 Professor VJ Duke April 24, 2014 at 23:18

        Okay, then.

      • 231 Veronica April 10, 2014 at 09:27

You can have me instead big you like.. I’ll rid you of Amelia.

      • 232 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:42

Really? How would you do it?

      • 233 Veronica April 10, 2014 at 21:37

Well… actually I can’t say. Giving away my secrets and giving Amelia the heads up. I don’t think so.

      • 234 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:22

How about you give her some…poison?

      • 235 Veronica April 12, 2014 at 04:45

Do you have any? Some of the kind that is indistinguishable, disappears into the body leaving no trace… That might work.

      • 236 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:56

Yes, I think that would be perfect…but, no, I don’t have any, dadblameit.

      • 237 Veronica April 14, 2014 at 22:05

        Maybe another day then.

      • 238 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:17

        Maybe you do…

      • 239 Veronica April 15, 2014 at 20:14

        Oh no, I don’t.

      • 240 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 00:45

        Rats and a Heifer!

      • 241 Veronica April 16, 2014 at 01:25

We could use both of those. Definitely an idea.

      • 242 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 19:55

        What for?

      • 243 Veronica April 16, 2014 at 20:28

Aren’t we getting rid of Amelia?

      • 244 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 20:32

Yes, we are. Or at least, trying to. But how would a heifer help?

      • 245 Veronica April 16, 2014 at 22:47

Would catch her on its horns and then toss her into the rat’s nest….

      • 246 Professor VJ Duke April 17, 2014 at 16:08

*laughing* That’s brilliant. And she deserves it, you know.

      • 247 Veronica April 18, 2014 at 11:12

Why is she so bad. I’m still lost on that particular fact.

      • 248 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 16:25

        Well, she a bit pushy?

      • 249 Veronica April 18, 2014 at 21:39

That’s b all. I think whatvyour planning may be over-kill.

      • 250 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 13:02

        What should I do, then?

      • 251 Veronica April 21, 2014 at 21:36

Nothing. She will eventually wear herself out.

      • 252 Professor VJ Duke April 22, 2014 at 13:58

        Ha! Now that’s an interest.

  13. 253 walt walker April 9, 2014 at 19:19

Who is that fellow I’m so fond of? The Zez? Why have you not asked him what to do? He’s the one I should think you would go to for advice on this one. Are there Elves in the PL? Go not to them for advice. They will say both yes and no.

    • 254 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:08

*laughing* Elves are dadblame confusing, I agree. And I don’t thin there are any–which is probably good.

Zez?! You like Zez? He’d probably have me killed if I went to see him. I think we both know what he’d say to do…

      • 255 walt walker April 10, 2014 at 03:17

Had the wrong fellow. The Veezler is who I meant. Had to google your search box doohickey for “car and snow” to remember who I was trying to remember.

      • 256 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:39

Yes, I figured I should install that thing. Ooo…the Veezler…now’s he scary. I think your idea is a good one. But is it too mean?

      • 257 walt walker April 11, 2014 at 00:55

        Well, it’s Amelia.

      • 258 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:35

That’s true. Couldn’t possibly be bad enough. Okay, then, we ask him.

  14. 259 Lesley April 9, 2014 at 19:18

Just listen to Mr. Magi. Listening to you explain how you feel will definitely wear her down and she’ll just let go.

    • 260 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:07

Oh boy, I bet you’re right! See? That’s what Mr. Magi meant, and there’s certainly some wisdom behind it, huh?

      • 261 Lesley April 10, 2014 at 04:28

Lots of wisdom I tell you. If the Professor can talk about how he feels without sending everyone into a deep sleep, I’d love to see it :)

      • 262 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:40

*laughing lots* Well, then, I should try it.

      • 263 Lesley April 10, 2014 at 20:00

hahah I mean, I WOULD send everyone to sleep if I started talking about how I felt

      • 264 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:19

Hahaha! And so would I. We should just go play football. Or, better yet, I should challenge Amelia to a match! Of course, you’d have to be on my team, you know.

      • 265 Lesley April 10, 2014 at 20:33

hahahahaha yes challenge her to that. Of course I’ll be in your team, ready to kick…um…ball! I love the idea!

      • 266 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:52

*laughing* Awesome, Lesley! I’m sure we’d win. Just keep the ball away from me and we’ll be fine.

      • 267 Lesley April 11, 2014 at 19:36

        hahaha will do

      • 268 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:26

        *smiling*

  15. 269 Warrior (@WarwarWarrior) April 9, 2014 at 18:54

You ought to do this the simple way, old fashioned way. With two lances and horses. That is how a engagement of battle goes.

    • 270 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:02

Warrior, this is an awesome comment! Yes…lances and horses…the professor could do that, don’t you think?

  16. 271 The Dancing Rider April 9, 2014 at 18:48

Ha, ha, I love Daddy Salami’s solution. But realistically, Mr. Magi wins. Of course, Amelia may not accept anything you say…. If Mr. Magi’s suggestion doesn’t work, there’s always DS’s! (evil, EVIL grin)

    • 272 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:01

*laughing lots* DR! I think you’d like Amelia to get thrown to DS, huh? Most of me wants that, too.

      • 273 The Dancing Rider April 9, 2014 at 20:49

Well, if she doesn’t listen to you, this will never end!

      • 274 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:27

        I know! *breaks down*

  17. 275 Simply Skeptical April 9, 2014 at 18:22

Salami’s definitely the answer. One meal with him and poor Amelia will never be the same. LOL! Now Prof. are you sure you can’t return this little lady’s attentions?

    • 276 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:59

How would I do it, though? I’m lost, you see.

      • 277 Jazzy Couldren April 9, 2014 at 19:06

        Hey, if you use a mace… That would done be a good way to give her attention. And then…there is always the bathtub…. :}

      • 278 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:04

*laughing* MM! I’d get in trouble, though. I don’t have your strength you see.

  18. 279 Susan P April 9, 2014 at 17:48

You are one surprise right after the other. Um. Congratulations!? It should be an interesting, um, time leading up to the wedding. She’s a lucky girl and I hope you appreciate her.

    • 280 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:50

No wedding! We’re engaged in battle, you see. Aren’t they different things? Maybe not…

      • 281 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 17:02

        Depends on the day. LOL

      • 282 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:06

*laughing lots* I think that was a very wise response…

      • 283 Susan P April 11, 2014 at 14:53

        :D

  19. 284 TheCrazyBagLady April 9, 2014 at 17:31

How exciting! You must want to be engaged if you are thinking about it :)

    • 285 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:49

The professor? Oh dear. Wouldn’t that be unprofessorish?

      • 286 TheCrazyBagLady April 10, 2014 at 03:19

a bit yes, but the unexpected happens!

      • 287 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:39

        Warrior don’t marry, do they?

      • 288 TheCrazyBagLady April 11, 2014 at 02:23

I think normally no but when it happens, it must surely be true love (pass me a bucket)

      • 289 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:39

Oh dear… What do you need a bucket for?

      • 290 TheCrazyBagLady April 12, 2014 at 03:52

        ……….seriously……..

      • 291 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:55

I really don’t know, you know.

      • 292 TheCrazyBagLady April 14, 2014 at 13:42

the bucket is a useful tool. I can vomit in it and you can also use it to cover her head (vomit optional) and throw her into the cave. Problem solved :)

      • 293 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:09

Hahaha! Very good, then. That’s a great suggestion.

  20. 294 John W. Howell April 9, 2014 at 16:54

Mr. Magi. has good advice What can you lose? You will have the façade of caring. What else is more important? huh? huh? I mean besides that.

    • 295 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:49

Haha! That’s true. But will my facade full her, do you think?

      • 296 John W. Howell April 9, 2014 at 19:33

HaHa! I think your façade might fool her. Filling her is a different conversation about food and stuff.(stuff? bad choice of words here))

      • 297 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:09

I always use “stuff” too, you know. It’s downright professorish! Well, then…but I do want to skip the meeting all togheter, you know.

      • 298 John W. Howell April 10, 2014 at 12:45

        :-)

      • 299 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:49

        The professorish smiley: ==]:-{)+

      • 300 John W. Howell April 10, 2014 at 20:52

I like it. This is the oaf smiley = []|:-D>

      • 301 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:08

Thank you! Now that is something. You know, John, we should make a whole bunch of these! Do you mind if I use this one from time to time?

      • 302 John W. Howell April 11, 2014 at 22:31

You can use it anytime. (it reminds me of Tom Hanks in that train movie

      • 303 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:53

Thank you! Haha, I can see where you’d say that.

  21. 304 Painting Pundit April 9, 2014 at 16:12

Interesting! Why don’t you try all the suggestions? Maybe not DS but perhaps all the others.

    • 305 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:48

      That’s a good thought, too. But, isn’t Mr. R’s rather…horrid?

  22. 306 Angeline M April 9, 2014 at 15:11

I think telling her how you feel as suggested by Mr. Magi will only add to her aggravation and take the engagement to another level. I say she needs supper with Daddy Salami….Heahaha! (OMG, I’m starting to laugh like DS).

    • 307 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:48

*laughing lots* Isn’t it fun laughing like DS? You’re right! It would be spectacular. Do you think DS would be very mean?

      • 308 Angeline M April 9, 2014 at 22:33

        Just enough

      • 309 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:30

        Which would be perfect.

  23. 310 PorterGirl April 9, 2014 at 15:03

As I recall it, you didn’t really have anything to apologise for in the first place! The young lady overreacted entirely. But, Mr Magi is right – you must tell her how you feel! Then, take her to Daddy S’ for dinner :D

    • 311 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:47

*laughing* I love how you think, Lucy. What do you suppose DS wants to do?

      • 312 PorterGirl April 9, 2014 at 18:50

Why, cook a dreadful meal to scare off the young lady of course! It would teach her a lesson at any rate.

I love how you think too, you know

      • 313 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 19:02

Good deal, for sure. But Ruber would have to do the cooking. And DS might decide he wants to impress her, too. Which would ruin the whole point.

Thanks! You mean, how I don’t think!

      • 314 PorterGirl April 9, 2014 at 19:34

Yes, that is what I mean.

So how to win the heart of Amelia? Cashews – for certain!

      • 315 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:09

Which might be a good way to do things!

But the professor doesn’t want to win her heart, dadblameit!

      • 316 PorterGirl April 10, 2014 at 05:20

Well I feel that cashews are the answer, whatever the question!

      • 317 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:40

        Yes! For me, too.

  24. 318 E. April 9, 2014 at 14:30

I’m inclined to agree with Mr. Magi.

    • 319 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:47

But doesn’t that leave me in a bad position?

      • 320 E. April 9, 2014 at 19:36

        Only if you’re not prepared.

      • 321 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:10

How should I prepare? I fear the professor is rather lost in this sort of thing.

      • 322 E. April 10, 2014 at 10:56

If Mr. Magi says to tell her how you feel, the first step is to figure out what it is you’re feeling.
Then take her to a neutral place (like a park, or a battlefield neither of you were a part of) and tell her.
        Then walk away.

Easy as cake. Except for the whole baring-your-emotions-to-someone. That’s a little difficult. But don’t worry — you got this!

      • 323 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:43

Thanks, E! You make me feel like I’ve won already! Okay… *making mental notes* I got this!

  25. 324 ruthierufiebob April 9, 2014 at 14:08

Mr. Magi is right :) You should just tell her what you’re feeling!

    • 325 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:46

But what if she gets angry?

      • 326 ruthierufiebob April 9, 2014 at 21:46

        hmmmm…. apologize?

      • 327 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:29

How would I get her to apologize? Probably impossible. My brain is failing.

  26. 328 weggieboy April 9, 2014 at 14:00

Mr. Ratherquite seems best tuned into how women think.

What woman can resist a man who humbles himself and apologizes for his failings, which are manifest because he is a man!?

Amelia will quickly succumb to the lure of a humbled Professor, not suspecting anything as complex as a man with a plan with more than one step…!

    • 329 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:46

*laughing* That is a good plan, for sure.

  27. 330 FictionFan April 9, 2014 at 13:55

Congratulations! I’m sure you’ll both be very happy together, battling through eternity! And Schwarzy is right, of course – he’s always right!

    • 331 Professor VJ Duke April 9, 2014 at 18:46

Schwarz will be happier tonight when he has dinner with Amelia. I set that up to say sorry. Aren’t I brilliant?

      • 332 FictionFan April 9, 2014 at 19:55

        WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTT!!!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How…how…DARE…you??? I can quite see why Amelia would prefer Schwarzy to the exceedingly wicked, naughty and downright dadblamed MEAN Professor, but that my Schwarzy would go out with Amelia rather than FF??? Unthinkable!!! Impossible!!! OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

      • 333 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 01:20

But does Schwarzy know you exist? Aha! Maybe the professor keeps secrets. (Now we’re plumbing the depths of my wickedness.)

      • 334 FictionFan April 10, 2014 at 14:08

Not just wicked, but cruel!! Do you mean you never gave him my valentine?? (Such a jealous Professor!)

Well, if it’s the only way to stop you breaking my heart, here are some ways to get rid of Amelia without passing her on to my Schwarzy…

Ask her if she’ll go with you while you shop for a new skirt.
Turn up on your date wearing red socks beneath your sandals.
(This last one gets the FF guarantee of surefire success…) Take her for a walk in the moonlight and, as she is gazing at you adoringly, take her hand and say ‘I love you, Sandra.’ Not unnaturally she will reply ‘Er…my name is Amelia.’ To which you reply ‘Oh sorry, I was thinking of my last girlfriend…’ Trust me, the chances of you ever seeing her again are infinitesimally small…

      • 335 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:58

Oh…well, maybe I showed him. He did like it–if I recall correctly.

*laughing lots* But I don’t have skirts, or sandals. Now the last one… *laughing too much* You know, I’d never think to do something that mean and wicked? That is horrible…hahaha. Okay…I sorta like it, though.

      • 336 FictionFan April 10, 2014 at 22:19

        Tchah! I don’t believe you!

*chuckling gnomishly* Do I win the Punchy Wickedness Award then? I promise it would work!

      • 337 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:29

        I liked it, at least!

You sure do! In fact, I think you’re the one who taught the sweet professor how to be very wicked.

      • 338 FictionFan April 12, 2014 at 00:19

        *smiling*

Oh, I think it was the other way round…

      • 339 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:30

I might concede to that. Your wickedness has rubbed off on me and my little bit of wickedness has rubbed off on you. Fair?

      • 340 FictionFan April 14, 2014 at 16:41

        Agreed!

      • 341 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:29

Good noodles in a sweet-sauce, I knew that was the ticket.

      • 342 FictionFan April 14, 2014 at 20:52

        *laughing* Yummy!

      • 343 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:15

And you know, I love noodles.
