Where the Professor Lives–Green Stars

So, this is where the Professor lives:

Actually, it’s on the Green Star.

Swift_M31_large_UV70p[1] with star circled

How do you suppose the weather is here? I’m still trying to figure it out myself. This Green Star is also home to many strange creatures. The Professor may be one of them.

Now you know where I live.

Seems like a nice, comfy green star to live in. How to get there? By rocket ship, perhaps?

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:20

Well, yes. By rocket ship. You’d love to ride, I think. It’s fun.

      • 3 Hazy May 29, 2014 at 23:50

Oooh, I’m interested! Riding a rocket ship would be an interesting experience.

      • 4 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 13:02

It would! And it’s scary. The professor doesn’t like it!

      • 5 Hazy June 5, 2014 at 12:36

How often does the professor fly in rocket ships? A frequent flyer, I suppose? Do you get turbulence in space too? (I hate turbulence in planes. Scary and dizzying!)

      • 6 Professor VJ Duke June 5, 2014 at 14:24

I hate it too! No, I try to limit how much I fly about like that. And no turbulence up there. Unless you have a bad driver, like MM.

      • 7 Hazy June 9, 2014 at 11:30

Do you get frequent flyer miles too?

Haha, I can only imagine how awful MM drives. Is he worse than DS?

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2014 at 13:33

*laughing* No! I need to look into that.

No, DS is the worst. MM can be normal–especially when Mr. Magi is around.

      • 9 Hazy June 10, 2014 at 11:49

*nods* you should! you might save up some PL currency! (what do you call PL currency anyway? I may have missed the part about that)

Mr. Magi seems to keep everyone in check. I bet he gets busy since most of everyone needs checking!

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2014 at 13:49

You know, I’m not sure there is one. Gold, silver, copper, and precious gems, I think. That’s the basic currency.

He’s constantly busy! And always traveling about the land.

      • 11 Hazy June 12, 2014 at 00:02

Does anyone go and mine the gems and precious metals for currency? Do the PL’ers barter too?

I bet he’s been to lots of lovely (and not so lovely) places!

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 13:56

Oh yes, a lot of bartering goes on. And I’m sure there are miners, though I’ve never met any. Well, DS was a miner at one time, I hear.

        Right on!

      • 13 Hazy June 13, 2014 at 12:12

Ooh, it would be interesting to meet a miner. I wonder where and how they get the gems.

DS seems to be some kind of jack of all trades (though probably not good at any, is he?) What did he do with the stuff he mined?

      • 14 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 17:04

Yes, me too. I don’t know!

Right on. I fear he did a lot of odd jobs over the years. (Probably spent it all!)

      • 15 Hazy June 17, 2014 at 11:56

Ah yes, he probably did spend everything in one go. Do you know what his biggest purchase was?

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 12:57

I’m not sure, no! But…he’d spend it mostly on food…or anything that caught his fancy at the moment. It’s all dadblamery.

  2. 17 Dianette May 16, 2014 at 10:07

Proffesor… VJ”” ?! ur real name?!

  3. 19 heidiskye333 April 21, 2014 at 12:16

Professor, Do you live near Asteroid 3147 discovered by Lyudmila Chernykh?

    • 20 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 13:18

I’ve actually never seen it! Tell me more about it, please!

      • 21 heidiskye333 April 21, 2014 at 19:51

It’s about peace, understanding and diplomacy.

      • 22 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 21:09

        And professors?

  4. 23 L. Marie April 14, 2014 at 20:04

Okay, I don’t know how I missed this. It could be because the Start Here page loads up first and I thought it was just a reminder of what I’d already seen.
Anyway, it’s nice to know where you live.

    • 24 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:03

Yes, that’s the homepage, I think.

Thanks! Wouldn’t you like to vacation there?

  5. 25 maryamchahine April 12, 2014 at 16:11

Audrey is completely right! There is no such thing as a green star. Looked it up on Wikipedia (one of my best friends). The Professor has been leading us on to…….nowhere! However there is a Star Junction in PA. Hmmm…..

    • 26 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:14

Oh dear! But I live on the star. It must exist! (The professor travels all around, you know. Sometimes I’m here, other times I’m there.)

  6. 27 ladycheetah7 April 11, 2014 at 17:48

I believe the weather might be quite crisp so you would do well to bring a sweater or winter coat. Doubt the sun shines much but if it does you might also need to bring some shades. I must know PVJ, does your planet have huts or condominiums?

    • 28 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 19:02

It can be crisp at times, for sure. And the professor always has shades, you know. I love those thingys. My analysts won’t let me go out without them.

      Huts! Does that surprise you?

      • 29 ladycheetah7 April 11, 2014 at 19:15

        Yes. I envisioned smurf-like houses.

      • 30 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:24

Haha! And the professor in one?

      • 31 ladycheetah7 April 11, 2014 at 22:46

You seem to be more of a brownstone kind of guy or the traditional 2 story with a garage.

      • 32 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:55

Or I live in a hole. I bet you never thought of that possibility.

      • 33 ladycheetah7 April 11, 2014 at 23:01

Nope! I would have thought your other dwelling might have been@ the bottom of some sea.

      • 34 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:26

Oh yes. Because the professor is that shrub, you mean?

      • 35 ladycheetah7 April 14, 2014 at 12:36

        Exactamundo!

      • 36 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:20

*laughing* You’re too wise for me, Lady. And I love that expression…

  7. 37 John W. Howell April 11, 2014 at 12:43

Thank you for following my blog. I have really enjoyed yours and feel quite honored to have you visit any time you have a porfessorish holiday. []|:-)>

    • 38 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:45

It’s my pleasure, John! I’ll visit when you post, hopefully! And I’m quite honored to have you here!

  8. 39 Miss Lou April 11, 2014 at 12:10

Star Shaped greeness. #Awesome. Is everything there green too? It looks very primary… Is Professor Duke also Green? Entirely green?

    • 40 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:44

The professor is of normal color, you know. And it is somewhat primary…somewhat. The water is green. Is that surprising?

  9. 41 Lesley April 11, 2014 at 06:46

Um Professor, you live on a titaniciously supergrande planet. Ok, that’s one huge planet. And it’s green! What color are the trees, if you have any??

    • 42 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:43

*laughing* Lesley, I love those words. They’re awesome. It is huge! Well…a different green, I think. But I see your point. Maybe the water is green?

      • 43 Lesley April 11, 2014 at 19:38

yeah green water. How about the soil? It’d be fun if it we fluorescent!

      • 44 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:27

Now that would be cool–it is! It’s neat growing things in that sort of soil, you know.

      • 45 Lesley April 12, 2014 at 05:18

I bet it is! Pick me some roses there so I can impress a dame here :)

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:56

*laughing* I’ll bring you some, Lesley, in return for an awesome safari!

      • 47 Lesley April 14, 2014 at 13:06

That’s not a fair trade, Professor! In return for a safari, I need an all-expenses-paid trip to your planet with her :)

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:22

*laughing lots* Good dear me! Well… Haha. Okay…I agree! But you each can only bring one suitcase…

      • 49 Lesley April 14, 2014 at 13:39

Please allow three. She will most likely use both!

      • 50 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:09

*laughing bit time lots* I understand! Okay, three it will be.

  10. 51 icedmocha34 April 11, 2014 at 01:29

  11. 53 The Reading Girl April 10, 2014 at 22:53

looks interesting. is there any possible way I could visit you?

    • 54 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:30

Well…you wouldn’t want to catapult up like MM, would you?

  12. 55 Jackie April 10, 2014 at 22:45

Wowawee! You live in the Andromeda galaxy!

    • 56 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:29

      Yes! Kinda cool, huh?

      • 57 Jackie April 11, 2014 at 18:35

        Absolutely! Very cool! 8-)

      • 58 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 19:06

        And…odd, you know.

  13. 59 Julie Harris April 10, 2014 at 18:24

You must have fantastic internet access up in space! Green is my favorite color!

    • 60 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:15

Awesome! And isn’t that a wonderful green, too? Yes, the internet is awesome up here. But I do get visited by aliens, you know…

  14. 61 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 14:59

I agree with Audrey ^^^^^. No such thing as a green star. Nope. Not buying it. Respectfurly, LadyP

    • 62 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:01

      But are you 100% sure?

      • 63 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 20:21

I Lady is always 100% sure. Especially about this! *hands on hips!*

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:25

        *runs away*

      • 65 Amy Pinkrose April 10, 2014 at 20:36

        *hot chase in pursuit*

      • 66 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:55

*gets in his chariot and rides off*

      • 67 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 20:59

*waves white banner* *sniffles* and she says BYE *waving her hand*

      • 68 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:45

        Don’t you have a chariot?

      • 69 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 22:48

        I have a dragon.

      • 70 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:57

        A red one?

      • 71 Amy Pinkrose April 11, 2014 at 23:00

        No, a purple one.

      • 72 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:24

        Red dragons have purple tongues.

  15. 73 weggieboy April 10, 2014 at 14:32

Hey! I thought I saw someone waving back, and it must have been you!

    • 74 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:01

Yes! I wave quite frequently in the night sky.

  16. 75 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 10, 2014 at 14:31

We all know there is no such thing as a green star, Duke…..

Although, I will entertain you. Everything green lives there. Hello!!???!! Dr. Suess lives there, too. Is that you???

    • 76 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:00

      But…I live on one…don’t I, Audith?

Haha! Dr. Suess isn’t green, and neither is the professor! Are you, Audith?

      • 77 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 10, 2014 at 20:37

Well, this is our big green star, Duketh. You have a point there… Isn’t it lovely. Spring is springing here…

*snickers* I know! No, I’m not green. Red heads are never green. Far too fair for that business…

      • 78 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:55

It is lovely! And here, I think. See? I knew you’d like the green star.

        Haha! Now the professor…

      • 79 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 11, 2014 at 21:30

Lovely. Here, too. Sometimes you surprise me…I do like the green star.

Now the professor, what? Is green? Or…?

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:49

All the time, you mean. That’s because the professorish brain is odd.

He has red eyes. He wants them, at least.

      • 81 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 12, 2014 at 00:56

Yes, all the time and I love it. Odd…like mine, Aud’s brain is Odd, too. Remember? *winks*

I have green eyes. I’m not sure if I can jump on your ban wagon for red eyes, although red it pretty important to me.

      • 82 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:50

Oh yes, I remember. And I think it a good thing, you know.

Haha. Well, red eyes are more to be feared…

      • 83 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 14, 2014 at 18:37

        *smiles nicely for you*

Yes, well, that ship has sailed, my dear.

      • 84 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:39

        And why?!

      • 85 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 14, 2014 at 19:25

Because I do not fear you.

      • 86 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 17:54

Rats. Oh well. I suppose I am rather sweet.

      • 87 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 15, 2014 at 18:42

*smiles* How hard is that to write exactly, Duketh?

      • 88 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:36

But we know it’s a lie.

      • 89 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 15, 2014 at 20:12

        Yep

      • 90 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 00:45

        Yeppy yep.

      • 91 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 16, 2014 at 04:06

        Greenish yeppy yeps

      • 92 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 20:05

*laughing* Now I’m thinking of frogs…

      • 93 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 16, 2014 at 20:47

*laughs* I’m thinking of your pond…

      • 94 Professor VJ Duke April 17, 2014 at 16:00

Where the toads live in numerous quantities.

      • 95 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 17, 2014 at 17:17

Yes, and you prefer to have them blown up as to singing along.

      • 96 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 15:39

I have tried to sing along–which is an interest. I think Schwarz would be better suited to doing such a thing.

      • 97 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 18, 2014 at 16:12

I would try, too. Then I’d laugh at us. Maybe you should write of that, Duke. It would be hysterical! Although, Audith would disagree wholeheartedly in public… *smiles*

      • 98 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 16:41

*laughing* It would be a fun story!

      • 99 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister April 18, 2014 at 16:53

        *agrees* Haha!

  17. 100 Catherine April 10, 2014 at 14:11

It looks like it would be cold, but I could be wrong. What straMeg creatures (besides the professor) live there? It’s a very strange star…

    • 101 Catherine April 10, 2014 at 14:13

PS I meant “strange” not “straMeg”!

      • 102 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:00

*laughing* Don’t worry about it! It’s a cool word, you know.

    • 103 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:59

Yes, it’s more cold than hot. It is a strange-looking star. Well, some PL’ers visit, you know. You see, the PL is in the Honi Galaxy–if that makes sense. So, PL’ers travel abroad quite frequently. Would you like to visit?

      • 104 Catherine April 11, 2014 at 01:26

Yes! It sounds amazing! So where is this Honi Galaxy?

      • 105 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:37

Oh, somewhere out there, you know. (I bet the Milky Way is in the Honi Galaxy–if that’s possible.)

      • 106 Catherine April 12, 2014 at 01:18

I’m beginning to think anything’s possible if one lives on a strange green star. But I can almost comprehend it…sort of.

      • 107 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:54

*laughing* Yes! And I should write a book about it–then it would make a lot of sense and be scarier.

      • 108 Catherine April 15, 2014 at 00:06

        You should! How scarier?

      • 109 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:22

Well, I just said that. Probably wouldn’t be scary at all!

      • 110 Catherine April 16, 2014 at 22:57

Haha yes you did. (I was adding more force and conviction to it by repeating it.)

Not scary? And yet scarier. How intriguing…definitely going to read this future book!

      • 111 Professor VJ Duke April 17, 2014 at 16:09

Oh yes! And I did love the conviction, you know.

What if the professor is in it?

      • 112 Catherine April 17, 2014 at 17:14

I’d still read it. Though who can tell if it wouldn’t be scarier that way, because of his warrior persona and all…but nothing I can’t handle, I’m sure!

      • 113 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 15:37

*laughing* For sure! You’d be fine. I might make a dadblame mess of it. And probably look rather pathetic.

      • 114 Catherine April 18, 2014 at 20:05

I doubt it- the professor knows exactly how NOT to write it because of all ripping book reviews. So I think you’ll be fine!

      • 115 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 13:01

That’s a good point! I think I’d enjoy ripping my book, you know.

      • 116 Catherine April 22, 2014 at 03:08

Haha! Well, guess you’ll just have to try and see.

      • 117 Professor VJ Duke April 22, 2014 at 14:22

        It is a wonder!

  18. 118 The Dancing Rider April 10, 2014 at 13:37

Right. Creatures as strange as the PLr’s????

    • 119 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:51

You mean like DS and MM? Yes! Don’t you think I need rescued?

      • 120 The Dancing Rider April 10, 2014 at 20:58

Not if you have your katana….

      • 121 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:21

        That’s true… The professor is a warrior… *smiling*

  19. 122 walt walker April 10, 2014 at 13:27

One more piece of the puzzle solved!

    • 123 deanthefish April 10, 2014 at 14:31

Which piece is that? I think his conception of his world is a bit skewered.

    • 124 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:51

See, Walt, I’m probably near where that boomerang ended up, huh?

      • 125 walt walker April 11, 2014 at 00:52

If you wouldn’t mind tossing it back, I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

Isn’t it hot on stars, though? Even the green ones? How are you? Do you need water?

      • 126 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:35

Oh, okay. I was saving it for an invasion, you know. *throws it back*

It’s cool on this one. Hot on the outside, cool on the inside. I’m sure that messes up Physics somehow. Would you like to visit?

      • 127 walt walker April 12, 2014 at 00:53

Sure. Are there neat things to do, but not too touristy?

      • 128 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:45

Well, we don’t get tourists. We could visit salt mines, if you’d like.

  20. 129 floridaborne April 10, 2014 at 13:26

Why not? If it’s green, the weather must be good. :-)

    • 130 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:51

Yes, it is! Would you think it’s colder or hotter?

  21. 131 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 13:21

Doctor Who is an alien, too.

    • 132 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:50

I thought he was a robot?

      • 133 Susan P April 10, 2014 at 19:51

No sir. He is a Time Lord.

      • 134 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:18

Now, does that mean he goes through time?

      • 135 Susan P April 11, 2014 at 15:23

He is a time traveler, yes. I don’t ask a lot of questions because, like the Professor, he has a temper.

      • 136 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:58

*shock* What makes you think the professor has a temper?

      • 137 Susan P April 12, 2014 at 14:57

Don’t we all have a temper? The question is, who is in charge.

      • 138 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:10

Very wise of you, Susan. Very.

      • 139 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 14:31

        *blush*

      • 140 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:24

        *smiles very bigly*

      • 141 Susan P April 14, 2014 at 20:47

*looks at Prof smiling very bigly and says it is good*

      • 142 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:13

        Haha!

      • 143 Susan P April 15, 2014 at 20:53

        ah ah

      • 144 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 01:03

        ==]:-{)=

      • 145 Susan P April 17, 2014 at 20:11

        Is that the good Professor?

      • 146 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 16:04

It is! How does he look?

      • 147 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 16:43

He looks like a cool drink on a hot day.

      • 148 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 17:08

*laughing* You know I like that lots?

      • 149 Susan P April 18, 2014 at 17:19

        Smiling

  22. 150 FictionFan April 10, 2014 at 13:15

I fear I may have to agree with Bubbles! Were you born on that star? Or were you abducted by aliens when you were young? It does explain quite a lot though…

(I am SO excited by your tags!! Inspirational casting!! Oooooh…CAN’T WAIT!!)

    • 151 deanthefish April 10, 2014 at 15:30

      Thank you for agreeing!

BTW, still recovering from the prehistoric man vid. I’m not sure that that wasn’t your intention…

      • 152 FictionFan April 10, 2014 at 17:39

I knew if we tried hard enough we’d finally find something we agreed on… *winks cheekily*

Haha! I love that video – don’t you think that’s just the most wonderful frock you’ve ever seen? For dancing in, that is…

    • 153 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:50

You mean you think the poor, dull, helpless professor is insane? Hmm…no, never been abducted by aliens. Unless…

(Haha! I hope you like it.)

      • 154 FictionFan April 10, 2014 at 21:59

Well, it did occur to me that the aliens may have experimented on the Professor’s brain.

        (15 hours…)

      • 155 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:22

*laughing* Do you think I’m batty? What a wonder.

        (Whew! Glad that’s posted.)

      • 156 FictionFan April 12, 2014 at 00:03

*laughing* Do you think you’re not? Now that’s a wonder!

        (Me too!! *smiley-smiley-smiley*)

      • 157 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:27

The professor is a wonder–for different reasons, you see.

        (*smiles*)

    • 158 deanthefish April 10, 2014 at 21:06

Yes… I’d wink if I could in return but I’m still flinching from the prehistoric man… Do you mean the frock Sinatra was wearing?

      • 159 FictionFan April 10, 2014 at 22:00

Hahaha! Poor Bubbles! I thought you’d appreciate the music…

    • 160 deanthefish April 10, 2014 at 22:50

Well, I don’t really have a problem usually with such dance musicals. I do like Singin’ in the Rain, White Christmas, American in Paris, and others.

It’s just well… the concept of this song wasn’t to hot IMO. Kind of… primitive? :)

      • 161 FictionFan April 11, 2014 at 18:01

This one, as you probably know, is from On the Town – the only musical that rivals Singin’ in the Rain, IMO. You probably need to watch the whole movie to properly appreciate it… *winks*

    • 162 deanthefish April 11, 2014 at 18:20

I do know that the original music for On the Town was written by the great Lenny Bernstein and was replaced in the film… :(

However, if it is ever on tv I’ll tune in…

  23. 163 laugraeva April 10, 2014 at 12:43

    Lies!

    • 164 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:48

*shock* But why would you say that!

      • 165 laugraeva April 11, 2014 at 06:21

America is not a green star!

      • 166 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:41

But do I live in America?

      • 167 laugraeva April 14, 2014 at 11:16

        Definitely! You confirmed it yourself!

      • 168 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 13:17

Maybe I travel around a lot, dadblameit!

      • 169 laugraeva April 14, 2014 at 20:47

Nah! It’s all similar times that you comment back to me.

      • 170 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:14

It is? Oh rats. You are very on top of things, you know.

      • 171 laugraeva April 15, 2014 at 19:24

You have ended all three of your reply comments with “you know”. ‘Tis creating another theory in my mind!

      • 172 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:48

        Oh dear. What, please?

      • 173 laugraeva April 15, 2014 at 19:50

Your “you know”s are giving me an indication about where in America you are from, plus your age…

      • 174 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:50

Well, tell me. I let you know if you’re right–besides the age.

      • 175 laugraeva April 15, 2014 at 19:53

        West..?

      • 176 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 19:56

        Actually, east.

      • 177 laugraeva April 15, 2014 at 20:06

Ooh! I’ve only ever been to Florida.

      • 178 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 00:41

Florida’s great and humid! It gets humid here in the summer, occasionally. It snowed today.

      • 179 laugraeva April 16, 2014 at 07:06

        North East then!

      • 180 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 20:12

        Right on!

      • 181 laugraeva April 16, 2014 at 20:20

One part of the mystery solved!

      • 182 Professor VJ Duke April 16, 2014 at 20:32

        What’s the other part?

      • 183 laugraeva April 16, 2014 at 20:43

        Age!

      • 184 Professor VJ Duke April 17, 2014 at 15:56

And then what will you do? Once you know all that?

      • 185 laugraeva April 17, 2014 at 17:04

My curiosity will be slightly satisfied I suppose.

      • 186 Professor VJ Duke April 18, 2014 at 15:27

Only slightly? Not sure what else you’d need.

      • 187 laugraeva April 18, 2014 at 23:14

        Real name and profession…

      • 188 Professor VJ Duke April 21, 2014 at 13:06

But you know my name–and profession. I’m a professor.

  24. 189 PorterGirl April 10, 2014 at 12:42

What a lovely place to live. It look a bit cold, out there on the edge of that galaxy, but I imagine it is very nice indeed. I suspect irregular weather, probably a bit like England! Can I come and visit?

    • 190 Jazzy Couldren April 10, 2014 at 18:47

      I use my catapult to get up there. :}

      • 191 PorterGirl April 10, 2014 at 19:03

An excellent mode of transport, dear MM!

      • 192 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:16

*laughing* And it’s a bit stunning when he arrives, Lucy.

      • 193 PorterGirl April 11, 2014 at 05:04

I imagine so. I hope there is somewhere soft for him to land… or would that be un-manly?!

      • 194 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:41

I’m not sure. It might be to him. I think he likes to land with a thud!

      • 195 PorterGirl April 12, 2014 at 06:25

        Goodness!

      • 196 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:57

        Haha, yes, shocking!

      • 197 Manly Man (@JazzyCouldren) April 10, 2014 at 20:07

        I’s always had fun on it. :}

    • 198 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:48

Well, on the inside, Lucy, it can be quite balmy. You sure can! It’s a fascinating place, you know.

      • 199 PorterGirl April 10, 2014 at 19:59

I am sure it is. When I come to visit, I will bake you muffins!

      • 200 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:18

*loves the idea and is thrilled* Cherry?

      • 201 PorterGirl April 11, 2014 at 05:04

        Certainly!

      • 202 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:41

        *smiles bigger than the moon*

  25. 203 deanthefish April 10, 2014 at 12:39

If there was any doubt in anyone’s mind of your sanity before this post, that doubt should now be easily vanquished. This puts the case far past doubt. Your sanity is deficient. =)

    • 204 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:48

*laughing* Mr. Fish, don’t you think your comment was a bit hurtful?

      • 205 deanthefish April 11, 2014 at 02:22

Refer to the very first comment on your “about” page.

      • 206 deanthefish April 11, 2014 at 02:24

It’s the proverb palace page actually….

      • 207 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 18:40

        Oh…are you sure?

  26. 208 Simply Skeptical April 10, 2014 at 12:35

Whoa! Did you build that star? I mean it’s perfect looking except for the color. Here’s a hard one for you Professor – I’m a bit afraid of the answer, but here goes: How do you travel back and forth?

    • 209 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:47

The professor? What makes you think I leave? See! That’s the ticket there. It is a perfect little star, for sure.

  27. 210 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 10, 2014 at 12:34

I’m sorry. But reading this; ITS SO CUTE!!!!!!!

    • 211 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:47

*maybe blushes* Cute, VQ? But why?

      • 212 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 10, 2014 at 19:51

The whole post. It was just really cute, in my opinion.
        This little green star: AWW!
OK I’d better stop, because I’m running the risk of sounding all patronising now. I don’t mean to, I swear.
It was just an ADORABUBBLE post!

      • 213 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:17

I’m honored, then! Don’t stop, VQ. I like what you’re saying. The professor always wants to hear, you know. And I appreciate it. I thought you might be interested it we grow different veggies up here.

      • 214 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 10, 2014 at 20:19

        *smiles excessively*
Let’s start with potatoes and tomatoes; perhaps some radish too! And carrots! YUM A DUM DUM!
I’ll pop round soon with the seeds and stuff!
Ooh and I’ve always wanted a pear tree. Does the professor like pears?

      • 215 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:24

I love carrots and radishes! Yes, pears are one of my favorite fruits. What about cucumbers?

      • 216 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 10, 2014 at 20:26

Same here! And cucumbers – me love!

      • 217 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:27

Awesome! We’ll have to have cherries too, please.

      • 218 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 10, 2014 at 20:28

        :D

      • 219 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:47

        The professor smiley: ==]:-{)+

      • 220 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 11, 2014 at 18:13

        NAWWWWWW!

      • 221 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 19:05

        Why no? Oh dear!

      • 222 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 11, 2014 at 19:41

HALT! NO! Alas….you did not understand me. My fault.
Imagine an incredibly strange girl, VQ, emphasising how cute something is= NAWWWW. Not just “awwwww” but NAWWW is the next level.
Then there’s “Zawwwww” which I haven’t put into practise yet because quite frankly it was created in vain.

      • 223 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:27

*laughing* VQ, you make me laugh! I get it. So this was a level two, then? I’d love to see you use level 3.

      • 224 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 11, 2014 at 22:29

        I’d use level three. Excessively.
But as I said. It was made in vain.
Therefore, I feel bad about it.

      • 225 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:52

You mean, two takes care of everything?

      • 226 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 12, 2014 at 08:36

        It’s satisfactory

      • 227 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:58

        I think I agree.

      • 228 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 11, 2014 at 18:13

Wait – so the professor has a moustache?

      • 229 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 19:05

        Actually…no, I don’t. Isn’t it a pity?

      • 230 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 11, 2014 at 19:41

        No, it isn’t.

      • 231 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:28

        Better then?

      • 232 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 11, 2014 at 22:29

        Perhaps?
        What do you think?!

      • 233 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:52

Well, I don’t know. Shouldn’t professors have them?

      • 234 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 12, 2014 at 08:33

        Nope.
        Not necessarily!

      • 235 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:58

That’s true, I suppose. And then the professor isn’t a regular sort of professor.

      • 236 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 14, 2014 at 14:49

        :D

      • 237 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:26

That’s a nice smiley. (I’ve destroyed them, you see.)

      • 238 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 14, 2014 at 18:26

Eheheheehe! Destruction of the smiley? O.O

      • 239 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:35

Yes, Ms VQ. I had to. They looked ugly. The new ones, that is.

      • 240 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 14, 2014 at 18:36

        I sympathise.

      • 241 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:38

        With the smileys?

      • 242 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 14, 2014 at 18:39

        Yes and partially you too.
Smileys – they didn’t choose to be this way.
You – I see your point.
I preferred the old smileys. I don’t hate these ones, because ya know, a smiley is a smiley. But preference wise..yeah.

      • 243 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 18:41

The laughing ones don’t laugh, too!

      • 244 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 14, 2014 at 18:42

        Oooooooooooooh.

Professor, dude. On a serious note here.
Are you protective of your smileys :)
        Hehehe

      • 245 Professor VJ Duke April 15, 2014 at 17:44

Yes, I am, dadblameit! Now I’m swearing as you see.

      • 246 deepbluesandseafoamgreens April 12, 2014 at 08:36

It isn’t really my place to say yes or no.
But since you don’t have one, I’ll say ok! :D

      • 247 Professor VJ Duke April 14, 2014 at 12:58

        Well, that’s good, then!

      • 248 Manly Man (@JazzyCouldren) April 10, 2014 at 20:30

        That’s ’cause he ain’t manly like me. :}

      • 249 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:48

But I am a warrior, Jazzy.

  28. 250 technophile9 April 10, 2014 at 12:31

    How’s the wi-fi up there? ;)

    • 251 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:46

Excellent! Never a bad connection. Would you like to come for a visit?

      • 252 technophile9 April 10, 2014 at 20:39

By rocket? Or perhaps by catapult (like MM)?

      • 253 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 17:57

Well, I use a teleporter or something like that. Wouldn’t a rocket (or catapult) be quite dangerous?

      • 254 technophile9 April 11, 2014 at 19:18

Well it would be, but I don’t have any teleporters handy. I’ll see if the local shop has one in stock. ;)

      • 255 Professor VJ Duke April 11, 2014 at 22:25

Well, you’re welcome to use mine–if you’d like. Or ride with MM. But his way is a bit spicy, wouldn’t you say?

  29. 256 Jessica Scott April 10, 2014 at 12:22

I knew it! You’re something like Gaudior aren’t you? :-)

    • 257 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 19:46

      Well…is one of those warrior-like?

      • 258 Jessica Scott April 10, 2014 at 19:59

Gaudior? Oh Professor. How could you? You don’t know Gaudior? You go read A Swiftly Tilting Planet right now. I’ll wait.

      • 259 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:18

        I don’t know! Oh dear… Okay…who’s it by?

      • 260 Jessica Scott April 10, 2014 at 20:25

        Madeleine L’Engle.

      • 261 Professor VJ Duke April 10, 2014 at 20:27

Thank you. Is it a professorish book?

      • 262 Jessica Scott April 10, 2014 at 20:29

Ummm…no. But it has Professorish talk in it and there are two professors in it.
