Wait, what is Darth Sidious doing in a STAR TREK parody?! All right, that’s it. I’m having a word with Obi-Wan and Gandalf about these people who lump fandoms! :-P
And Schwarz’s parting shot–that was great. I think he’s the best actor of the lot. X-P

    • 2 erinkenobi2893 June 6, 2014 at 13:41

Also, Obi-Wan is now chasing the 2009 version of Kirk around, throwing things at him and shouting at him in both Sindarin and Shendi. I wonder what happened. Do you have any ideas, Professor?

      • 3 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2014 at 13:58

Oh dear. It’s very un-Obi-Wan like, isn’t it? I mean, he usually doesn’t lose his temper like that.

      • 4 erinkenobi2893 June 6, 2014 at 14:15

No he doesn’t… I have no idea what happened, but… Perhaps Kirk insulted Siri… or worse… *gasp* what if he was FLIRTING with her?! 0_0
Oh, and it’s only recently come out that Obi-Wan’s part Elvish (I’m not sure how Elves got into Star Wars, but there it is), and all these immortals can be rather temperamental. (We figured it out after we were invaded by orcs, and the Elvish instinct to annihilate all goblins, orcs, and anything related to them just kicked in. It was weird! But cool. :-P

      • 5 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2014 at 14:55

But that wouldn’t make Obi-Wan that angry, would it?

        I bet Siri is too.

      • 6 erinkenobi2893 June 9, 2014 at 16:02

I doubt it, but it’s the only thing I can think of. It may remain forever a mystery…

      • 7 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2014 at 20:54

You should ask him, I think.

      • 8 erinkenobi2893 June 9, 2014 at 21:31

I did. He remained strangely silent. I think it may have been the weather.

      • 9 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2014 at 13:27

Well, I’ll fetch the info from him.

      • 10 erinkenobi2893 June 10, 2014 at 20:51

Thank you… I would appreciate having some idea of why he went nuts like that!

      • 11 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 12:56

Yes, it’s a wonder. Maybe he’s embarrassed about it.

      • 12 erinkenobi2893 June 11, 2014 at 16:08

I don’t think so. Obi-Wan is only ever embarrassed if he snaps at someone like Padme who doesn’t really deserve it. And he didn’t give me the impression of being embarrassed…

      • 13 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:25

Well, he’s such a wonder. I feel bad for Padme.

      • 14 erinkenobi2893 June 12, 2014 at 11:14

I don’t think he ever did snap at Padme. Between you and me, I think the whole thing with Kirk was over… pink. Pink that led to unpleasant comments. It might have been.

      • 15 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:16

Pink? What do you mean by pink?

      • 16 erinkenobi2893 June 12, 2014 at 19:35

Pink. As in… Oh, I don’t know. Pink is the root of all evil. (Rose isn’t. Just pink. Hot, neon pink.) :-P

      • 17 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:52

        YES! I couldn’t agree more. *high-five*

      • 18 erinkenobi2893 June 13, 2014 at 15:39

        X-D

    • 19 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2014 at 13:57

I know it’s a problem. He was rather mean and nasty too. You should have been there to kill him, I think.

      Really?

      • 20 erinkenobi2893 June 6, 2014 at 14:06

I’ll call Obi-Wan and if Schwarz Data will give us the coordinates we’ll take care of him.
He’s the funniest and sweetest of the lot. ;-)

      • 21 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2014 at 14:54

I think he could use some help, for sure.

        Really?

      • 22 erinkenobi2893 June 9, 2014 at 16:01

Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it if the Sith is still there. ;-)
Yes. Schwarz is such a sweet guy, if a bit weak in the head. :-P

      • 23 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2014 at 20:53

Dull and sweet, yes that’s right.

      • 24 erinkenobi2893 June 9, 2014 at 21:25

X-D He is. I think I have a thing for sweet, not too bright people. :-P

      • 25 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2014 at 13:26

Yes, I know what you mean. They’re just…likable.

      • 26 erinkenobi2893 June 10, 2014 at 20:48

Yes, they are. ^_^ Also, they have less potential for unpleasantness than us more intelligent people. They can’t really be overtly odious, per se, like we can, and they can’t be heartlessly bent on something…

      • 27 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 12:54

That’s a very good point… Now I’m trying to think of a Jedi like that… Don’t think one existed.

      • 28 erinkenobi2893 June 11, 2014 at 16:04

        I don’t think so either. :-/

      • 29 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:25

Probably wouldn’t make it through training.

      • 30 erinkenobi2893 June 12, 2014 at 11:11

        True.

  2. 31 Susan P May 10, 2014 at 16:03

    Cleverly done!

    • 32 Professor VJ Duke May 12, 2014 at 12:57

      Many thanks, Susan!

      • 33 Susan P May 12, 2014 at 12:59

        De nada.

      • 34 Professor VJ Duke May 12, 2014 at 13:04

        Does that mean ‘no’?

      • 35 Susan P May 12, 2014 at 13:07

        It means “It was nothing.”

      • 36 Professor VJ Duke May 12, 2014 at 16:39

        Like the professor.

      • 37 Susan P May 12, 2014 at 17:17

Professor is nothing? I’ve been interacting with nothing? He doesn’t exist. *puts head on desk and sobs*

      • 38 Professor VJ Duke May 12, 2014 at 23:01

*laughing* Well…I’m really here! I promise.

      • 39 Susan P May 13, 2014 at 00:55

Well, that is a relief to hear. You are more than there, I think. You are here and there and then again over yonder. Kind of like The Scarlet Pimpernel.

      • 40 Professor VJ Duke May 13, 2014 at 12:43

        Only my name’s not Percy.

      • 41 Susan P May 13, 2014 at 18:55

Bet you’re glad about that, aren’t you? ;)

      • 42 Professor VJ Duke May 14, 2014 at 13:13

        I am!

      • 43 Susan P May 14, 2014 at 13:25

In fact, it’s a mercy you’re not Percy.

      • 44 Professor VJ Duke May 14, 2014 at 13:26

        I wonder why now…

      • 45 Susan P May 14, 2014 at 13:41

Because you could end up being Percival.

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke May 15, 2014 at 12:31

        Did he die?

      • 47 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 12:54

At some point, I am certain he did. He was a knight of the round table and went looking for the Holy Grail.

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 14:54

        He sounds professorish.

      • 49 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:19

        I don’t think he had a katana.

      • 50 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:31

But he did have a broadsword.

      • 51 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:37

        Those babies are heavy.

      • 52 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:40

        For sure!

      • 53 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 16:09

        *smile*

  3. 54 L. Marie May 9, 2014 at 12:50

Oh man!!! I laughed out loud! That was by hilarious. Love Manly-Worf who is “clinging on” to whatever to remind us that he’s a Klingon. Great casting!

    • 55 L. Marie May 9, 2014 at 12:50

Um, I meant to say “That was hilarious.” Ignore the “by.”

      • 56 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 20:44

*winks and then nods a big*

    • 57 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 20:44

Many thanks! It was great fun to put together. And Hideous is a new character.

  4. 58 Jackie May 9, 2014 at 12:49

Excellent! Love this – it’s was so dadblamerous and punchalicious! 8-)

    • 59 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 20:44

      Ahh, thanks, Jackie!

  5. 60 Julie Harris May 8, 2014 at 23:48

Love the Starship Exercise! And Hideous was by far my favorite this time. Job well done!

    • 61 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 01:23

Many thanks! The professor is very appreciative… *bows*

  6. 62 Simply Skeptical May 8, 2014 at 17:29

Starship EXERCISE! That’s just too funny (tears of laughter). OOO, really like the Hideous character. Is he a new cast member? He’s punchaliciously unnerving. Spock’s always been my favorite – Treky fan here. Well Kirk-Picard covers it, hee, hee. Loved the special effects and depths to these. So fun!!

    • 63 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 19:03

Glad you enjoyed it! Hideous is a new guy, for sure. (I’m always thinking about such things, you know.) Awesome! Glad Spock showed up then, for sure.

  7. 64 Simply Skeptical May 8, 2014 at 17:20

    Starship

  8. 65 The Dancing Rider May 8, 2014 at 16:38

Love the rating in the beginning.

And of course Starship Exercise. LOL! Enjoyed the flashback to horrid naming…….. they were too late! What kind of name is I’mOON?

Hideous is a character I like! Little late a warning from Spock (lightning from hands).

Great job, all. Acting, voice, music, sound effects, story – all of it! Kudos, team.

(Manly Worf, Woof, or Wolf.. ha ha)

    • 66 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 19:00

*smiles bigly* Thanks, DR! Took forever to design that screen.

I know, right? It’s horrid, for sure. And it wasn’t even a moon! But he’s the captain, you know.

For sure. Spock could have been quicker. Isn’t Hideous rather naughty, though?

Many thanks, DR! I’ll pass it all on.

*laughing* I always think MM is saying “wolf”.

  9. 67 InfiniteZip May 8, 2014 at 16:04

I liked Khan….welcome to punchy island…..my motorcycles name is Jean-Luc, it is a V-Star classic purple:) nicely done professor and company.

    • 68 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 18:57

Many thanks! A V-Star! That sounds neatio. What does Luc mean?

      • 69 InfiniteZip May 8, 2014 at 19:33

Jean Luc piccard, his name silly:)

      • 70 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 01:14

        Shouldn’t it be “Luck”?

      • 71 InfiniteZip May 9, 2014 at 01:19

No, luck would be luck, like the charm, Luc would be the most awesome bald captain…maybe I should write a poem about him….would anyone read it??.

      • 72 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 01:25

I would read it! Does he shave his head now that you brought it up?

      • 73 InfiniteZip May 9, 2014 at 09:57

        Why yes, so sexy:)

      • 74 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 20:39

        Oh it is not!

  10. 75 weggieboy May 8, 2014 at 14:55

The colorful dialogue is an interesting update. You’ve outdone yourself here!

    • 76 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 15:10

Yes. Do you think it adds?

  11. 77 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 8, 2014 at 14:22

“Now he’s going to cling on to that name…” *laughing so hard* MM is so funny!

Studio, great job!! I’ve never been a fan of Star Trek, but this series has me hooked. Well done. Green planet, green star…either way, I enjoy green.

The last 5 seconds had me sucking air. *laughing* What is a Manly-Wolf?

    • 78 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 15:09

*smiles bigly* He is? I don’t think he worries about a thing, you know.

Thanks, Audith! Interestingly, enough, all the guys in the studio aren’t fans either! That was the professor’s green star, you know.

*laughing* I don’t know! Doesn’t sound like that’s what MM says?

      • 79 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 8, 2014 at 15:14

I think what comes out of his mouth is fantastic. I know, he get that feeling. A lot.

Your star, Duketh?! It does need a proper name.

*laughs all over again* Yes, it does!

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 15:17

        Doesn’t he have a gorilla?

        What should we name it?

I’m always trying to get him to pronounce better.

      • 81 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 8, 2014 at 15:23

Yes, his name is little Michael. He sits at home in a corner because MM is mean to him. I’ve decided to try and save him.

I have a feeling you’ve already named it.

No, he’s perfect just as he is, Duke. Leave him alone.

      • 82 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 18:54

But isn’t he supposed to be really naughty? MM tells me he’s wicked.

        I’ve not. Fats Henry did–in a way.

I fear the professor is getting hollered at…

      • 83 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 8, 2014 at 19:15

Maybe he is, but we both know animals tend to take to me, so I think the gorilla would be sweet for me. MM deserves a wicked gorilla.

Yes, do you like his way?

        Umm. No. *looks away*

      • 84 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 01:12

That’s true. I can’t imagine having a gorilla. You better go get it, then.

        Not at all! Do you?

        *looks where she’s looking*

      • 85 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 9, 2014 at 02:42

I’m not sure I have the time. Plus I do fear MM’s wrath.

What a silly question! So what will it be?

Well, I was wondering how you could tell I was hollaring at you. I didn’t raise my voice…not once.

      • 86 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 20:37

        That’s a good reason, I suppose. Hmm…

        You tell me!

The professor has a gift for “silent hollering” you know.

      • 87 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 9, 2014 at 21:01

        Hmm…what’s wrong??

        Me?! Oh gosh…really?

I bet it is wonderful. *ponders*

      • 88 Professor VJ Duke May 12, 2014 at 12:44

        Oh, just thinking, you know.

        Well, if you’d like, yes.

It’s…well, never been described that way!

      • 89 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 12, 2014 at 19:25

        About what?

*smiles* How nice of you to offer.

I make no sense most times.

      • 90 Professor VJ Duke May 12, 2014 at 23:10

Well, I’m going to try something I probably shouldn’t.

        *hands you his ring*

        Me too!

      • 91 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 13, 2014 at 02:59

What are you going to do??? Tell me.

I meant your offering to let me have a go at naming your green star… But, well, you know I’d like to wear your ring. I’ve missed wearing it. *applies the super glue to my finger and allows you to slide it on*

      • 92 Professor VJ Duke May 13, 2014 at 12:58

I can’t! It would ruin me, I think.

        No superglue!

      • 93 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 13, 2014 at 13:43

I had a feeling that was the case, Duke.

Okay, I took the glue off.

      • 94 Professor VJ Duke May 14, 2014 at 13:03

Crazy glue doesn’t come off, though.

      • 95 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 14, 2014 at 19:47

Mine does…did yours? *laughs lots* (Do I get your ring or not?)

      • 96 Professor VJ Duke May 15, 2014 at 12:39

        *laughs* You do not!

      • 97 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 15, 2014 at 13:43

        Fine!

      • 98 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:03

*gets in his chariot to hunt gazelles*

      • 99 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 16, 2014 at 19:14

*decides not to go with you* *stands her ground*

      • 100 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:12

*comes and picks you up anyway*

      • 101 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 16, 2014 at 23:43

Thankful you know me so well… *climbs aboard*

      • 102 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:49

*laughs* I thought so! Now this time, we keep it up and won’t let Charlie stop us!

      • 103 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 17, 2014 at 21:25

*smiles at her favorite professor* Okay! Holds on tight while looking for a spear.

      • 104 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 21:48

*hides and pretends to look for prey* I will!

      • 105 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 17, 2014 at 21:52

        *wonders who’s driving*

      • 106 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 21:53

        Both?

      • 107 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 17, 2014 at 21:59

So that’s why we’re going in circles?

      • 108 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:43

        Haha, yes!

      • 109 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 19, 2014 at 19:36

*sits on the floor with her head in her lap* Thinking we’ll never get anywhere with you away. *frowns more*

      • 110 Professor VJ Duke May 20, 2014 at 00:08

        I’m here–in a professorish sort of way.

      • 111 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 20, 2014 at 02:58

It is proverb day and news day, Duketh. My favorite day. The closest I have to knowing what is happpening in your world. Sort of.

      • 112 Professor VJ Duke May 21, 2014 at 12:35

Well, this week other things are happening that are sorta interesting. So, the studio took off. Yes, I’m lazy.

      • 113 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 21, 2014 at 19:50

        Okay.

  12. 114 FictionFan May 8, 2014 at 13:12

HahahahaHAHAHA!!! Simply brilliant, Prof! The script, the music, the effects, the acting…everything! Schwarzy was the best of course (though I may be biased) …but the rest were fantastic too. I LOVE Hideous! And inspired casting for Spock! And wasn’t Manly-Worf so…manly?!

Could this be your best yet? I think it might be so…

    • 115 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 15:07

Many thanks, FEF! We were trying to cast someone for Spock who was…emotionless! Yes, Hideous is a new character. (His name is Cid something.) Wouldn’t it be neat to see DS and him sometime?

*smiling really really bigly* Better than Olmes?

      • 116 FictionFan May 8, 2014 at 17:55

Yes, I though he made a perfect Spock – though remember that below that cold exterior every Vulcan is a seething mass of repressed emotions just waiting to break free…

Cid something? That’s so rude of you! You must learn to treat your cast better now that they’re stars! Yes, it would – DS needs a role on the Exercise…

Oh, now, see, that’s a really hard question. Olmes is very special to me, as you know, and was fabby scriptwise and musicwise – and actor-wise. But what makes the difference is all the effects now – sound and visual, and the actors are so smooth in their parts these days it makes it all sound beautifully relaxed. I loved the early skits and always will but these new ones are…I’m trying not to say professional because that makes it sound as if the earlier ones weren’t…but professional is the word that comes to mind…

I didn’t know that! So, does the emotion break out sometimes?

It’s in the credits…one moment…ahh, Cid Pape. That’s it. The team was laughing about DS not being cast. It’s the first ‘bigger’ production that he hasn’t had a part in!

Now this has made the professor’s day. *big, big smile* We’ve always had a harder time, I think, because there are no character visuals–which is kinda neat. But the sound effects really play a huge role. As does some of the new visual effects we’re doing.

        *goes skipping off beaming*

      • 118 FictionFan May 8, 2014 at 22:07

Oh, yes! If they don’t meditate regularly they can explode! And every seven years, at what I’ll euphemistically call Amelia-time, they go through the pon farr…and ooh, it can get very dramatic if they don’t find Amelia fast enough!

I miss the old sausage, but I think it’s been fun to see the other characters getting a chance to star for a change.

*smiles back* Oh, I’m glad there’s no character visuals – I prefer to use my imagination. I’m quite sure my idea of what Schwarzy, DS and the rest look like is quite different from yours. But the effects really add to the whole thing.

*chuckles at thought of skipping Professor*

      • 119 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 01:22

Ahh…interesting… But I don’t know if I’m brave enough to put Schwarz through something that dastardly, you know!

Yes, there’s a dadblame amount of characters!

Me too! Oh…you use your imagination? So you mean you create what you think the characters look like? You’re creative then! What a wonder.

Yes, it’s an interesting notion. I shouldn’t skip.

      • 120 FictionFan May 9, 2014 at 16:29

*sighs patiently* Schwarzy’s an android, not a Vulcan. *shakes head* You do have someone helping you keep on top of what’s going on in these skits, don’t you? Or a notebook…

And more every week…I miss Marlin.

Haha! You’ll convince me one day…perhaps!

Oh yes, you should! The image cheers me enormously…

      • 121 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 20:54

Yes, I do. My analysts! Unfortunately, I’m not well versed at all on Star Trek. (And lots of notebooks!)

You do? It’s so hard casting at times. Drake and Marlin usually go well together. Anyone else you’re missing?

I will! Remember the Monk! *nods emphatically and his hat falls off*

        It’s a bit pathetic, I admit.

      • 122 FictionFan May 10, 2014 at 14:26

If you watched one episode every day you’d be an expert by next April. Then we could go to conventions together – I’d go as Seven of Nine and the Professor could be…hmm…Tom Paris, I think.

Zezzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!! He never gets a starring role – just tiny wee appearances! It’s so unfair! I realise he might be difficult – dangerous, even – to work with, but I’m sure my Professor could keep him under control.

*laughing at lovely c&a image of nodding Prof* We’ll see!

‘Tis not! Skipping should be made compulsory – the world would be a much happier pace…

      • 123 Professor VJ Duke May 12, 2014 at 12:53

Hmmm….that does sound like an interest. A conference? What’s done there? We’d have to bring Mic.

Oh dear. I know Zez never starred. But…he’s not the starring type. You see, who could he costar with? It’s a hard problem, you see.

        I’m a warrior!

        I’d rather sprint, please.

We’ve been wanting to put more visuals in skits for a while… :)

      • 125 FictionFan May 8, 2014 at 22:10

Well, it all came together brilliantly today…even more brilliantly than usual, that is… *smiles appreciatively*

      • 126 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 01:15

Yes, we have. Why didn’t we do it sooner, btw?

  13. 127 Ann Koplow May 8, 2014 at 13:12

I’m( over the M)OON for this video, Professor. Great work and thank you.

    • 128 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 15:00

Haha! Many thanks! A favorite character? I think the professor liked Hideous best.

      • 129 Ann Koplow May 8, 2014 at 16:37

I have trouble making decisions and choosing favorites, sometimes. Hideous was great, for sure.

      • 130 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 18:58

Yes, me too! It’s a wonder, isn’t it? Choosing that sort of thing is always hard.

  14. 131 PorterGirl May 8, 2014 at 13:10

That was just so awesome. Like, even better than real Star Trek! MUCH better, in fact. Schwarz Data is so funny and Scientist was brilliant too. And MM! And Fats! I cannot pick a favourite :)

    • 132 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 15:00

Aw, I’m honored! (The whole team is, thanks!) It’s Fats Henry’s first star role. And, you know, Scientist was never supposed to be a main character–which is an interest.

      • 133 PorterGirl May 8, 2014 at 15:08

He does it well, I think! The whole team deserves a huge pat on the back, this was just great :D

      • 134 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 15:15

Now, onto another project! *laughs* (Are you making anymore episodes?)

      • 135 PorterGirl May 8, 2014 at 15:53

Yes! We are but we lost our main actor (Paul Butterworth who plays Head Porter) for awhile to another project. Grrr. So once we confirm his availability we will *finally* shoot Episode 5. The web series is still on the cards, hopefully we will have locations confirmed soon (will announce on Twitter when I know for sure)

      • 136 Professor VJ Duke May 8, 2014 at 18:57

Oh, that would be a bit vexing! Well, I’m excited about it. (Make sure to tweet me, if you can. I usually miss all the good stuff.)

      • 137 PorterGirl May 8, 2014 at 20:06

Oh I shall make sure you know everything Professor! :D

      • 138 Professor VJ Duke May 9, 2014 at 01:15

        Thanks so much!!!
