    Hey Professor,

I sat down at my computer today, determined to write that client report that I had been putting off. But instead, I got engrossed in this aur-toon. Now, I can’t get the vision of fish donuts out of my head. Lesson learned is that I shouldn’t listen to this when I’m hungry. :)

I know this feeling too well. Sometimes, work just has to wait! ;)

    • 3 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:45

*laughing* I do that sort of thing all the time! I know! They’re rather a disgusting concept. I’m sure if you saw them you wouldn’t want them.

  2. 4 Jackie May 17, 2014 at 10:54

Another wonderful AurToon that I thoroughly enjoyed! Thanks for the levity you punchalicious Punchy Lands blogmeister.

    • 5 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:57

*laughing lots* I love that title! Thank you!

  3. 6 Simply Skeptical May 16, 2014 at 00:14

Ma! cracking me up! Salami didn’t like being called, “ma”? Well, I think he made a darn good “ma” in this hilarious episode of the Punchy Crazies. He didn’t have to go and kill poor Schwarz though. Enjoyed the giggles once again. Thanks much!!

    • 7 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 00:26

I agree. No one plays Ma Barker like DS.

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:19

        Maybe the professor could.

      • 9 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:26

Do you really want me to dissect that possibility? Hmmm, Mr. Voice Actor?

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:35

*!* Oh dear! *laughs* How wicked of you… Everyone knows I can’t act…

      • 11 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:44

You, sir, are a consummate ham.

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 22:53

How could you possibly know that? It’s so odd the things you guess correctly about me. I am busted!

      • 13 Susan P May 17, 2014 at 13:40

It takes one to know one.

      • 14 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 21:38

        Aha!

      • 15 Susan P May 18, 2014 at 21:02

What’s with the aha? Surely you already knew that. :p

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:49

        I did not!

      • 17 Susan P May 19, 2014 at 16:20

        Hrumph!

    • 18 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:19

*laughs* Thank you, SS! Yes, I don’t think he liked ma. No respecting gentleman would!

  4. 19 The Dancing Rider May 15, 2014 at 21:02

Would you get into a car with DS, after that … laugh?! Still, Scwarz did. I bet he wish he hadn’t!

This lot vexes me so much with their conversation. Laughed quite a bit at the use of “Ma” — not to mention fish donuts. GAG.

I felt VERY guilty for laughing as DS was himself laughing whilst shooting. OMG! I laughed so hard at the absurdity of that. But then he DID have to do something about Schwarz (poor Schwarz!).

Really enjoyed the video, sounds, effects, and switches of screen … great job.

    • 20 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:17

I’m sure he did! I wouldn’t have. DS would have probably chased, though.

I know, right? They’re all over the place. Ruber didn’t seem to care that Schwarz got shot!

*laughing* That was an awesome part. Schwarz was acting sorta silly! Especially with DS and his gun around.

Many thanks, DR! That makes all the work really worth it.

  5. 21 Julie Harris May 15, 2014 at 20:56

You went all out for this one… great sound effects… but Fish donuts?! Yuck! Manly-Man cracks me up!

    • 22 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:16

Yucketh indeed, Julie! And thanks. Yeah, I loved how he came through that loudspeaker.

  6. 23 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 15, 2014 at 19:35

I think the money was well spent on your new toy, gentleman. The video was great! Crisp! The black car sounded amazing! What a silly story, yet very serious, Duke.

They rode and rode along the road… *laughs lots*
Everyone sounded perfect. MM’s part, well, bravo! I needed that laugh. Is that code for something stupid? *spits her water* Frankie cracked me up, too. Ruber’s laugh…*giggle* DS’s new name…Ma. *wonders why anyone woul offer fish donuts*

    Well done!

    • 24 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:15

Many thanks, Audith! *laughs* How was it serious? I’m just curious, you know.

Well, Audith, it seems like you liked them all! You know, I think the professor should start appearing in skits. I’m sorta jealous the sudden, you know. Yes, fish donuts… Yucketh!

      • 25 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 16, 2014 at 19:29

        You’re very welcome, Duketh. A shootout…now that’s serious? Correct?

I did like them all, but I have always liked the professor best. If I longed to hear your voice, would you come back for a skit? Grossapopoluss, indeed!

      • 26 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:14

Yes, you’re right. I’m a seriously comical chap, you know.

Well, I might, yes. Do you want to hear it?

        Lovely word! Is it yours?

      • 27 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 16, 2014 at 23:49

Yes, but I can also tell that you are not, you know. I bet we would have fantastic conversations, Duketh. I wish we could.

        Yes!!!! (Admits to it freely.)

Yes, I made it up under my palm tree. Glad you like it.

      • 28 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:53

I bet we would! Yes, I can be…seriously professorish, I think.

Oh dear! But…well, it could cause some sort of problems…

I love it! In fact, I’d add it to the PA. It’s really well crafted.

      • 29 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 17, 2014 at 21:35

        Yes, I suppose so, Duke.

        But why?…never mind, then.

I made it just for you, so you may have it. Tisn’t either!

      • 30 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 21:51

        Well…yes!

Really? I’m honored and shall put it up–if you don’t mind.

      • 31 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 17, 2014 at 21:56

        I said that already…

Yes, really. I don’t mind at all, truly. What would I do with it anyway.

      • 32 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:42

        Well, many thanks!

      • 33 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 19, 2014 at 19:32

        Sure!

      • 34 Professor VJ Duke May 20, 2014 at 00:06

        Now to get it up…

      • 35 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 20, 2014 at 02:52

        Yes, please.

      • 36 Professor VJ Duke May 21, 2014 at 12:34

        Okay…

      • 37 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 21, 2014 at 19:48

You didn’t… (just giving you a hard time)

      • 38 Professor VJ Duke May 22, 2014 at 15:46

        It’s up!

      • 39 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 22, 2014 at 19:45

And holding at an odd number! Oh very sweet of you!!

      • 40 Professor VJ Duke May 23, 2014 at 14:48

I’m the honored one! I’m not a creative person, so all this creativity around me is awesome. Odd is good!

      • 41 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 23, 2014 at 18:54

        Please…you are creative.

      • 42 Professor VJ Duke May 25, 2014 at 17:13

        *hides*

      • 43 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 26, 2014 at 02:57

*comes looking for you* Realizes you’ve been gone FOREVER and there was no finding you…

      • 44 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2014 at 12:57

        I wonder where I went!

      • 45 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 26, 2014 at 13:05

        Me too

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2014 at 13:44

        Don’t you know?

      • 47 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 26, 2014 at 15:38

        So you think I should?

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2014 at 19:38

        Hmm…yes!

      • 49 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 26, 2014 at 23:19

        Duke! Tell me…

      • 50 Professor VJ Duke May 27, 2014 at 12:46

Well, I was still here, but sorta getting things together. Does that help?

      • 51 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 27, 2014 at 16:19

Yes. You needn’t explain yourself. I was just poking at you a bit.

      • 52 Professor VJ Duke May 27, 2014 at 20:49

        Huff-Hum and a roar!

      • 53 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 27, 2014 at 23:13

No need to roar, Duketh. *laughs*

      • 54 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 11:56

        Then what should I do?

      • 55 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 28, 2014 at 15:08

Roar. A lot for me, okay. Do something vicious. Anything.

      • 56 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:19

        *hands you a dead rabbit*

      • 57 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 28, 2014 at 20:18

*wonders if he wants me to cook it or throw it over the fence*

      • 58 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:46

Maybe it can be eaten raw?

      • 59 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 29, 2014 at 15:21

Can you possibly imagine??? Why do we have to resort to eating it raw? Where are we? Are we cavemen/women? Don’t drag me around by my hair! Or do… *giggles*

      • 60 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 17:46

*laughing* I never thought of the professor as prehistoric, but now that you mention it…hmmm…

      • 61 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 29, 2014 at 18:07

*laughs* Did I meantion it? Hmmm..what?

      • 62 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 12:47

So you really think it, then!

      • 63 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 30, 2014 at 13:47

Well, I guess you claim to be old, so what am I left to believe?

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 23:46

        It’s part of the shtick?

      • 65 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 31, 2014 at 02:15

        Yes… *smiles a lotta*

  7. 66 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 18:38

Okay, Professorish person, I’m still waiting for my homey to show up.

    • 67 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:14

      Oh yes! Dadblame Nick.

      • 68 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:24

Now then. What has Nick to do with this?

      • 69 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:34

        Well, he’s to blame!

      • 70 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:43

        Well, in that case…

      • 71 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 22:52

You’re right: tar and feather him!

      • 72 Susan P May 17, 2014 at 13:38

And how would that get my boy back up where his beauty can be see?

      • 73 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 20:00

Well, Symph actually painted the beast, or whatever he did. I should get him to redo it.

      • 74 Susan P May 18, 2014 at 20:58

It that the beast in the lower right hand side by the tree? ‘Cause, I saw that and wondered.

      • 75 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:48

        Is there a beast there?

      • 76 Susan P May 19, 2014 at 16:20

It appears to be a beast there. Hanging on the trunk of the tree.

      • 77 Professor VJ Duke May 20, 2014 at 00:03

I kinda see it, now that you say it. And I assure you, I had nothing to do with it!

      • 78 Susan P May 20, 2014 at 19:34

You sayin’ that DS got there on his own?

      • 79 Professor VJ Duke May 21, 2014 at 12:43

        Yes! Scary, I should say.

      • 80 Susan P May 21, 2014 at 13:42

Well, he blends into the tree trunk so well I almost missed him.

      • 81 Professor VJ Duke May 21, 2014 at 19:29

DS can do a whole host of dadblamerous things.

      • 82 Susan P May 22, 2014 at 11:37

I totally believe that. And Ruber can, too, but he’s not up front about it. DS is who he is and he never pretends otherwise.

      • 83 Professor VJ Duke May 22, 2014 at 15:53

Right on! Ruber likes to work behind the scenes. DS…doesn’t mind a bit.

      • 84 Susan P May 22, 2014 at 17:49

And that is why I like DS. Can’t say I am terribly fond of Schwarz, though. That departure was kind of rude.

      • 85 Professor VJ Duke May 23, 2014 at 14:44

Oh dear. Is he rude, do you think?

      • 86 Susan P May 23, 2014 at 15:07

He isn’t rude, but sometimes he does rude things.

      • 87 Professor VJ Duke May 25, 2014 at 17:10

        Innocently, I think.

      • 88 Susan P May 25, 2014 at 19:11

        I would think.

      • 89 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2014 at 12:53

        Which might excuse him.

      • 90 Susan P May 26, 2014 at 14:33

Only if he doesn’t make a habit of it.
        :D

      • 91 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2014 at 19:36

        Which he might!

  8. 92 Amy Pinkrose May 15, 2014 at 17:25

Professor, FRIDAY there will be a post for you at Petals. I nominated you for a special award. Love, LadyP

    • 93 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:13

Thanks, LadyP! The professor will be over.

      • 94 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 16:29

Oh goody! The Professor is coming to LadyP’s house! Oh boy!

      • 95 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:05

        Don’t worry about sweeping.

      • 96 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 23:06

        I didn’t.

  9. 97 Angeline M May 15, 2014 at 15:36

Ma! OMG, I needed this laugh this morning! Thank you! Nicely done. And I’ll be thinking of fish donuts all day and practicing my DS laugh.

    • 98 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 18:33

Fish donuts are quite suitably and deeply Punchy.

    • 99 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:13

I love hearing that! Thank you, Angeline.

How’s the DS laugh coming? I can’t get mine right. The intonation is off.

  10. 100 erinkenobi2893 May 15, 2014 at 15:03

“They rode and rode along the road.” I love homophones. :-P
Alas, poor Tauptinker… And a bazooka full of… fish donuts?! 0_0 Be afraid. Be very afraid. ;-P

    • 101 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 18:34

You are thinking “Revenge of the Tauptinker?”

      • 102 erinkenobi2893 May 16, 2014 at 15:57

        *Devious grin* Maybe…

      • 103 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 16:13

        Bwahahah!

      • 104 erinkenobi2893 May 16, 2014 at 17:17

Maybe Tauptinker comes back as a ghost? :-P

      • 105 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 17:24

Just when I thought things couldn’t get more weird – T comes back as a ghost.

      • 106 erinkenobi2893 May 16, 2014 at 19:44

Well, if there’s one thing I’ve learned in my time as a Jedi, things can ALWAYS get stranger. :-P

      • 107 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 20:00

Things tend in that direction even if you aren’t a Jedi. :D

      • 108 erinkenobi2893 May 16, 2014 at 20:12

        Indeed they do.

    • 109 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:12

Yes. Don’t you think that could be the perfect weapon?

      • 110 erinkenobi2893 May 16, 2014 at 17:16

It could be. Though technically I think fish donuts should be called fritters… *scratches head*

      • 111 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:08

        Fritters? that’s an interest.

      • 112 erinkenobi2893 May 19, 2014 at 12:54

        Yup. Fritters.

  11. 113 Amy Pinkrose May 15, 2014 at 14:48

*donning black* I am going in mourning for Shwartz. LadyP is so sad.

On the brighter side, LadyP loves the NEW video style. Way cool.

    • 114 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 18:36

I wouldn’t worry much. Mr. T. has a curious ability to return to fight another day.

      • 115 Amy Pinkrose May 15, 2014 at 20:06

He does? He must not be human then. *whips off black silly hat* Back to PINK I go! LadyP

      • 116 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 20:30

        giggle

      • 117 Amy Pinkrose May 15, 2014 at 20:53

Black doesn’t look good on me anyway. That’s a relief! Good to hear you *giggling*

      • 118 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 00:02

I’m in one of those “Counting my blessings” cycles where I go around and around trying to drown out any other voices by reciting blessings.

      • 119 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 01:01

High 5! You keep them blessings comin’ and sooner then later, the other voices shall be silent! I AMEN on that one! Whew! We just had service!

      • 120 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 13:30

        :D Ahyup.

      • 121 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:20

But not the really wicked ones…

      • 122 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 16:33

Yes those too! What’s wrong with you today? *head toss, eye roll, foot stomp!*

      • 123 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:05

Two winks, only one nod, and a huge asteroid!

      • 124 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 23:07

Ah, you have a headache. Well that explains everything.

      • 125 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:16

        Well, I do not!

      • 126 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 23:46

        Then why so grouchy?

      • 127 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:51

        Well, I’m always professorish.

      • 128 Amy Pinkrose May 17, 2014 at 20:19

        Doth this includeth grouchy?

      • 129 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 21:45

        Of course I don’t know!

      • 130 Amy Pinkrose May 17, 2014 at 22:01

That does it! You don’t know, NO ONE knows! Happy now?

      • 131 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:45

        Maybe.

      • 132 Amy Pinkrose May 19, 2014 at 14:48

        Bemay.

      • 133 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:17

Yup. I’m right there with you as of now.

      • 134 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:26

I don’t think anyone is immune from those passages.

      • 135 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:34

Certain species of the professor are.

      • 136 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:43

        Dead ones?

      • 137 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 22:53

Don’t be a silly! I’ve never met a dead one.

      • 138 Susan P May 17, 2014 at 13:40

        Are you quite certain?

      • 139 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 21:38

        Of course!

      • 140 Susan P May 18, 2014 at 21:00

Okay…of course I will take your word for it.

      • 141 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:16

        Black looks good on everyone!

      • 142 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 16:32

Not on LadyP it does not! The Professor does not want to argue with LadyP on this. PINK.

      • 143 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:05

        Pink is a lady’s color!

      • 144 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 23:06

And that is who I am. *are you serious?*

      • 145 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:16

        Never!

      • 146 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 23:33

Be careful! Never is a very long time.

      • 147 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:35

        Longer than thought possible!

      • 148 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 23:50

Ah-ha. Now that IS a possibility!

      • 149 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:53

LadyP, you should have a cookie.

      • 150 Amy Pinkrose May 17, 2014 at 20:18

        She already did.

      • 151 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 21:45

Rats and a Heifer! And you didn’t give me one.

      • 152 Amy Pinkrose May 17, 2014 at 22:01

In your absentmindedness you furgot I did.

      • 153 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:14

It seems like everyone in the PL does. That’s the funny thing. Death is sorta…well sorta…

      • 154 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:23

        Temporary?

      • 155 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:33

Yes. Always been that way. From the earliest stories.

      • 156 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:42

Is there a process that begins the resurrection ?

      • 157 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 22:52

Sometimes. All PL’ers go through a place like Hades. And I think a figure like Hades is there. He’s scared of MM and always lets him through.

      • 158 Susan P May 17, 2014 at 13:37

MM can be a bit intimidating.

      • 159 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 20:00

He can. Mr. Magi wills him about.

      • 160 Susan P May 18, 2014 at 20:56

Really! Well well. That must make for an interesting passage.

      • 161 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:47

        It does!

      • 162 Susan P May 19, 2014 at 16:19

Mr. Magi has skills…that’s all I can say.

      • 163 Professor VJ Duke May 20, 2014 at 00:03

        And I agree lots.

      • 164 Susan P May 20, 2014 at 19:34

        smile

      • 165 Jazzy Couldren May 16, 2014 at 15:57

        That depends who you is… :}

      • 166 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 16:14

        That sounds threatening.

      • 167 Jazzy Couldren May 16, 2014 at 17:49

        I doesn’t know why… Some dudes come back differently than others… :}

      • 168 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 18:27

        Yes, I can see that.

    • 169 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:10

Do you like Schwarz? Or do you like the memory you have of him?

Oh, many thanks, LadyP! That made the profesorish day.

      • 170 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 16:28

I like your new toy, Professor! I’m done with the mourning. I know Swartz will rise again. Hehehehehehe

      • 171 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:04

        *laughing* I appreciate your appreciation!

      • 172 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 23:07

How many personalities does the Professor have?

      • 173 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:16

I’m not sure…what do you think?

      • 174 Amy Pinkrose May 16, 2014 at 23:47

At least 3 that I know of.

      • 175 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:52

        Really? What are they?

      • 176 Amy Pinkrose May 17, 2014 at 20:18

        Muddled, Fuddled, Absent-Minded Foolery DADBLAMMIT!

      • 177 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 21:45

        That sounds like m.e

      • 178 Amy Pinkrose May 17, 2014 at 22:00

        Well gee, really?

      • 179 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:44

        Yes!

      • 180 Amy Pinkrose May 19, 2014 at 14:47

        Yes, what? Exactly? I furgot.

  12. 181 L. Marie May 15, 2014 at 13:51

Ha ha!!! So awesome! Loved Manly-Man’s part especially. And donuts. . . .

    • 182 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 18:37

MM is one of my favorites. DS is the other. They say and do the stuff I wish I could.

      • 183 L. Marie May 16, 2014 at 13:10

I totally agree, Susan P. (Hey, that rhymes!)

      • 184 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 13:35

Next thing you’ll be quoting from The Princess Bride. :D

      • 185 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:14

You know, Susan, that’s right on.

      • 186 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:24

We all need a DS and MM to speak for us when if we spoke for ourselves we might get the smack-down.

      • 187 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:34

Right. DS and MM would be able to take the heat.

      • 188 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:42

        Interesting. I’m eating cashews.

      • 189 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 22:52

        Aw! Nice!

      • 190 Susan P May 17, 2014 at 13:37

        They are nearly gone.

      • 191 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 20:00

        Unsalted?

      • 192 Susan P May 18, 2014 at 20:56

Lightly salted. That was all they had. *sigh*

      • 193 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:47

        I like unsalted best.

      • 194 Susan P May 19, 2014 at 16:19

        Alas.

      • 195 Jazzy Couldren May 16, 2014 at 15:59

        I’s just manly you know…

      • 196 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 16:14

Oh and you do it so very well. *swoons*

      • 197 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:02

        *laughing*

      • 198 Susan P May 17, 2014 at 01:00

        *giggles*

      • 199 Jazzy Couldren May 16, 2014 at 17:50

I doesn’t want none of that swoonin’ stuff. I don’t done like it.

      • 200 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 18:27

Naw – no swooning. Just admiration from a safe distance.

    • 201 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:07

Many, many thanks!!! I love when he talks through that loudspeaker.

      • 202 Symphonist Sepperl May 17, 2014 at 00:51

He’s hard enough to understand without the thing…

      • 203 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:54

The words on the screen are a must.

  13. 204 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 13:33

Reblogged this on The Curious Introvert and commented:
Here is the last installment of Southern Comfort. The Professor went all out to reenact the shootout in Ocklawaha, FL when the FBI went in to get Ma Barker and her sons and take them dead or alive. Enjoy!

    • 205 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 14:59

I must admit, the professor usually shakes hands with everyone when I’m really honored. But I’m not sure if it’s acceptable to shake a woman’s hand, is it?

      • 206 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:22

But of course it is. Sometimes even with a paternal sort of hug is in order, but it is not required.

      • 207 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:33

You mean I’d have to give a paternal hug?

      • 208 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:41

Or, alternately, a fraternal hug. It’s not required, however.

      • 209 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 22:51

It’s such a confusing world. We should come up with something professorish.

      • 210 Susan P May 17, 2014 at 13:36

And it appears that you succeeded. :D

      • 211 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:59

The professor is always breaching customs.

      • 212 Susan P May 18, 2014 at 20:55

Why am I not surprised? :)

      • 213 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:47

        *bigly smile*

      • 214 Susan P May 19, 2014 at 16:18

        Not a Boring Professor.

      • 215 Professor VJ Duke May 20, 2014 at 00:02

        Why do you say this?

      • 216 Susan P May 20, 2014 at 19:33

Maybe it’s because I’m a bear of little brain – fluff, actually.

      • 217 Professor VJ Duke May 21, 2014 at 12:42

        I don’t think that’s true!

      • 218 Susan P May 21, 2014 at 13:41

*gets a pea shooter and poofs some fluff at the professor*

      • 219 Professor VJ Duke May 21, 2014 at 19:29

        Now you’re shooting at me!

      • 220 Susan P May 22, 2014 at 11:36

Just throwing over some of my brain…

      • 221 Professor VJ Duke May 22, 2014 at 15:52

*laughing lots* I’m sure I’ve got room inside.

      • 222 Susan P May 22, 2014 at 17:48

Not with all of the cookies you are eating.

      • 223 Professor VJ Duke May 23, 2014 at 14:44

        I must do more pushups.

      • 224 Susan P May 23, 2014 at 15:06

I thought you liked to jog?

      • 225 Professor VJ Duke May 25, 2014 at 17:10

Yes, I do–sometimes. But it doesn’t build muscle!

      • 226 Susan P May 25, 2014 at 19:10

Gosh! How do you jog without building leg muscle?

      • 227 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2014 at 12:53

It must be a professorish trait. I jogged steady and faithfully (or ran rather) two years back. But nothing useful seemed to come of it.

      • 228 Susan P May 26, 2014 at 14:32

Alas, Professor. Harry built leg muscle by going to the gym and lifting weights on his legs.

      • 229 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2014 at 19:36

Oh. That could be done as well, I suppose. Oh dear.

      • 230 Susan P May 27, 2014 at 10:36

        Oh my.

      • 231 Professor VJ Duke May 27, 2014 at 12:53

Yes, you see the pain now.

      • 232 Susan P May 27, 2014 at 14:17

Well, no omelet without breaking some eggs. :)

      • 233 Professor VJ Duke May 27, 2014 at 15:58

        And no mushrooms either.

      • 234 Susan P May 27, 2014 at 16:11

        You doesn’t like nice mushrooms?

      • 235 Professor VJ Duke May 27, 2014 at 16:13

        I love them!

      • 236 Susan P May 27, 2014 at 16:18

        Ahh – we’re good then.

      • 237 Professor VJ Duke May 27, 2014 at 20:48

You can be, the professor prefers wicked.

      • 238 Susan P May 28, 2014 at 11:23

        Uh-huh

      • 239 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 12:05

        It’s true, I think.

      • 240 Susan P May 28, 2014 at 16:16

        Fiercely wicked?

      • 241 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:34

        Yes!

      • 242 Susan P May 28, 2014 at 18:56

*hides in the closet holding the door closed*

      • 243 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:40

Ooo, and maybe Narnia is to your back!

      • 244 Susan P May 29, 2014 at 13:55

I think I see Lucy and Mr. Tumnus over there in the snow!!

      • 245 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 17:44

Good. Kill Lucy please. We were all rooting for the queen anyway.

      • 246 Susan P May 30, 2014 at 12:57

How much time have you been spending with Edmund?

      • 247 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 13:07

Well…not much. He should have popped her off and became the king.

      • 248 Susan P May 30, 2014 at 14:57

They were all kings and queens. What have you got against Lucy?

      • 249 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 23:51

Wasn’t she like a brat of sorts?

      • 250 Susan P May 31, 2014 at 18:40

No. Not Lucy. That was Edmund. Or might be thinking about Eustace in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.

      • 251 Professor VJ Duke June 2, 2014 at 12:05

        Edmund was a nice chap.

      • 252 Susan P June 2, 2014 at 15:59

        Eventually, yes.

      • 253 Professor VJ Duke June 2, 2014 at 16:02

        In the beginning!

      • 254 Susan P June 2, 2014 at 16:07

You got it all backward, my friend.

      • 255 Professor VJ Duke June 3, 2014 at 12:20

I usually do. The Horse and His Boy was my favorite. *smiles bigly*

      • 256 Susan P June 3, 2014 at 17:13

My favorite will always be Dawn Treader, though The Horse and His Boy come a close second for various reason.

      • 257 Professor VJ Duke June 3, 2014 at 18:43

Ooo, what reasons? You like Aravis?

      • 258 Susan P June 3, 2014 at 19:42

I do like her. I’m just like her, don’t you know? But I have another reason.

      • 259 Professor VJ Duke June 4, 2014 at 12:46

Ooo, what? I really liked her. Though she needed a strong hand. She was mean.

      • 260 Susan P June 4, 2014 at 21:19

That would be me. Needs a strong hand and is mean.

I like it because later on in The Last Battle one of the people from that land was called up to the Real Narnia.

      • 261 Professor VJ Duke June 5, 2014 at 14:13

        Mean? Na! Really? Professorish mean?

        Oh, who?

      • 262 Susan P June 5, 2014 at 15:44

Emeth, the seventh son of Harpa Tarkaan of the City of Tehishbaan.

      • 263 Professor VJ Duke June 5, 2014 at 19:38

Emeth…that sounds like one of my names.

      • 264 Susan P June 5, 2014 at 22:04

Does it now. What does it mean?

      • 265 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2014 at 13:43

The name, I’m not sure. But doesn’t it sound professorish–in a way?

      • 266 Susan P June 10, 2014 at 00:33

        It sounds royal to me.

      • 267 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2014 at 13:39

        Or…Yes, I suppose you’re right.

      • 268 Susan P June 10, 2014 at 21:03

Maybe your cousin? You might be the Duke of …something or other.

      • 269 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 13:02

        Duke of professorish!

      • 270 Susan P June 11, 2014 at 13:19

That sounds right. It means that you are next in line for the throne if something happens to the prince.

      • 271 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:08

        Well, let’s kill the prince.

      • 272 Susan P June 12, 2014 at 00:22

“Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown.” I have a feeling old Bill might have a point there….

      • 273 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 13:57

        Absolutely for sure.

  14. 274 PorterGirl May 15, 2014 at 13:03

Haha! It’s like Tarantino in the PL! And you know it’s good when Schwarz is the most resonable-sounding person there. Great appearance by MM, as always :)

Loved this :) Well done to all!

    • 275 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 13:06

Ah, the good old days! The gangster years are what birthed the FBI here in the states.

      • 276 PorterGirl May 15, 2014 at 14:24

        Can’t beat a good gangster, eh? ;)

      • 277 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 18:26

Yeah, you can, but it’s almost as messy as things at Old School. :)

      • 278 PorterGirl May 15, 2014 at 18:52

        That’s pretty messy! :o

      • 279 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 19:02

        Laughing

      • 280 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:08

        The professor might be one.

      • 281 PorterGirl May 16, 2014 at 16:18

Nothing would surprise me about you, Professor ;) If you are one, I will hide you from the police

      • 282 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:03

And I would be eternally careful! The professor would be the cool kind.

      • 283 PorterGirl May 17, 2014 at 11:05

Of that I have no doubt ;)

      • 284 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:58

        *smiles proudly*

      • 285 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 14:58

I’d like to be an FBI agent. Or maybe a gangster. I can’t decide at the moment.

      • 286 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 15:21

        I just want a job.

      • 287 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:33

        Oh dear. Is all okay?

All is well and shall be well. Thank you for asking.

      • 289 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:41

        Great!

      • 290 Susan P May 16, 2014 at 16:10

        *smile*

    • 291 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 14:57

Haha! Thanks, Lucy. It was a real fun one to put together. I really didn’t want Schwarz to fetch it, you know. But…I wasn’t sure what to do with him. I suppose it’s an interesting way for his vacation to end.

      • 292 PorterGirl May 16, 2014 at 16:17

There is that, yes. Poor Schwarz – his vacation wasn’t really much of a success, was it? So much calamity. I hope the tornadoes have gone and he can go home.

      • 293 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:03

Last I heard, he was happily settled back home.

      • 294 PorterGirl May 17, 2014 at 11:05

        Super! :)

      • 295 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:58

        For sure!

  15. 296 FictionFan May 15, 2014 at 12:45

Ooh, very violent! Poor Schwarzy – killed again! But at least that means he doesn’t have to eat the fish donuts…

Good to hear the original Punchy music back. *big smile*

    • 297 Susan P May 15, 2014 at 13:04

Very violent indeed. I live a short distant from where the original shootout took place. And there weren’t, that I know of, any donuts involved fish or other kind. :D

      • 298 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 14:57

        Was there a professor?

    • 299 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 13:08

Yes, I know. Fish donuts scare the professor too. It all should be blamed on DS’s anger management problem, I think. If he has one, that is.

Do you like that better? Nick had been complaining about the toon one.

      • 300 FictionFan May 16, 2014 at 13:52

You can see why he might have anger management issues after years of eating Ruber’s food though. But it’s most unfair of him to take it out on my poor Schwarzy – he’ll need another vacation now!

Yes, I do – just my opinion, obviously, but I think a) it’s a great piece of music and b) it works with the tone of the PL much better than the toon music does – in fact, adds to the tone…

      • 301 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 15:24

There have been a few times when DS was no match for Schwarz, you know. Sometimes Schwarz becomes a warrior of warriors! Sorta like the professor.

And your opinion means a lot to me, so… We’ll keep it this way! There was a hint of the toon music at the way end. I think it works better there.

      • 302 FictionFan May 16, 2014 at 19:02

Yes, I think it works better there too, but you must do what you think is best – I wouldn’t set myself up as an expert in such things.

      • 303 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:09

But you are! Really appreciate feedback. Usually, that is. Nick gives his too frequently.

      • 304 FictionFan May 17, 2014 at 01:16

*laughing nervously* Why do I suddenly feel I’ve stumbled into a war zone? If I wave a white flag, will you let me go safely…?

      • 305 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:57

*laughing lots* Of course! This has been a brewing war, I think. I’m not sure who to blame.

      • 306 FictionFan May 17, 2014 at 21:03

        Blame Mic!

      • 307 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 21:46

He’ll kick me out of my studio then!

      • 308 FictionFan May 17, 2014 at 21:47

Tchah! He might try…but the mighty Beowulf-Woot-Woot will not submit so easily…

      • 309 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 21:52

*laughing* But I die! I was rather hoping to find that fountain of the young thingy.

      • 310 FictionFan May 17, 2014 at 21:55

I’m not sure that would help when you get attacked by an irate dragon…

      • 311 Professor VJ Duke May 19, 2014 at 14:42

        Which would be a bummer.

      • 312 FictionFan May 19, 2014 at 17:21

        Very true!

      • 313 Nicholas Warren--MPS staff member May 16, 2014 at 16:01

Yes, that’s right. I’m glad FictionFan is on my side with this. I’ve been trying for a while.

      • 314 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:00

I know, Nick. How’s that DS pic coming?

      • 315 Nicholas Warren--MPS staff member May 16, 2014 at 23:25

        Oh…

      • 316 Professor VJ Duke May 16, 2014 at 23:31

        I thought as much!

    • 317 Symphonist Sepperl May 17, 2014 at 00:56

It’s what the professor ordered. A track that parodied “The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down” (in the style of Looney Toons) and THAT is exactly what I delivered!

A “great piece of music”?! What a compliment–Thanks! Its actually not the original version (which was for full orchestra not a chamber orchestra).

      • 318 FictionFan May 17, 2014 at 01:23

Haha! (Must learn to keep my mouth shut…) It’s not that I have anything against the toon music – it’s just that I think the other one sounds more original and, since the PL is very orginal, it seems to suit it better. Also it has more of an edge, and so do the skits. Was it specifically written for the skits or is it part of something else?

I also love the Olmes music – again both because it’s good in itself but also because it suits those skits so perfectly.

      • 319 Professor VJ Duke May 17, 2014 at 19:54

Now I take the blame, dadblameit!

    • 320 Symphonist Sepperl May 17, 2014 at 12:32

No, no. I like feedback and I’m not offended at all. As Nick said he’s been warring against it for some time so I was responding how I’ve typically responded to his complaints: take it to the professor!

All the music is written specially for the Punchy Lands.

Well, the Olmes music is a parody on a famous (new) movie score.

      • 321 FictionFan May 17, 2014 at 21:02

I agree with all three of you… *backs away slowly*
