A Party at Fat Man Island

The professor was about when it happened.

I’m always about, I fear, when something interesting happens.

You see, the professor was invited to a party at Fat Man Island.

I think Fats Henry was trying to forget about his snake problem.

(He has an abundance of poisonous snakes on his island—deposited, I believe, by some dastardly fellow. And it wasn’t the professor.)

I came prepared to meet dangerous snakes.

I was wearing my katana.

On my back.

Once I was at the party, the professor spotted LottieOllie.

She was that wicked person who stole that thingy I was looking at ever so long ago. It was a map, actually, and she took it from me–which was wicked.

As soon as I saw her, she saw me.

Which is a dadblamery and a few.

The professor began to walk away and hum. (A famous diversion technique, I think.)

But it didn’t work too well.

She charged, and somehow managed to get right in front of me.

“Professor,” she said. “I promised to have a talk with you, didn’t I?

“I don’t recall,” I said. “Maybe you wanted to have speaks with him?” And the professor pointed to Mr. Ratherquite who was standing with his ladies.

And he was also standing with Amelia.

The professor was still pointing (in the general direction of Mr. Ratherquite) when my hand was sorta…well, hit down, I suppose.

“It’s rude to point, cur,” Daddy Salami said as he passed.

“Now…” LottieOllie said in an odd quiet whisper. [I suppose it was supposed to make everything sound horridly scary.] “Where did you get those pictures from? The ones I took from you?”

“You mean the pictures I probably don’t remember too well?”

I think she nodded.

And then the professor said it.

“I’m not going to tell you, because I’m not going to tell you.”

The professor walked away.

Moral of the tale: Don’t be afraid to do what you must.

At least, I think that’s the moral.

LottieOllie continued to bother me that night, until I dumped punch on her. Then the whole party got vicious, and I left.

And that should be another moral: Don’t go to parties that are vicious.

    But he lies…

  2. 2 erinkenobi2893 June 6, 2014 at 13:49

She deserved the punch dumping. Richly.
OH! Next time she asks, tell her that Amelia gave the map/pictures to you! >:-D That would be deeply satisfying. At least, for me… :-P

    • 3 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2014 at 13:58

Yes! I felt spicy in that moment, you know.

Erin!!! That’s a perfect idea. And then, she’d take care of my Amelia problem!

      • 4 erinkenobi2893 June 6, 2014 at 14:16

        It’s naughty but fun. ;-D
Yes! :-D It’s so brilliant that I have no idea how I ever came up with it. That happens sometimes. ;-P

      • 5 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2014 at 14:56

        It is!

We could only hope that they would destroy each other!

      • 6 erinkenobi2893 June 9, 2014 at 16:04

        >:-D YES!!! *evil grin* This is fun, plotting like this. X-D

      • 7 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2014 at 20:54

        It is!

      • 8 erinkenobi2893 June 9, 2014 at 21:32

It takes the gray out of gray days. :-D

      • 9 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2014 at 13:27

        Haha, yes.

      • 10 erinkenobi2893 June 10, 2014 at 20:56

At least it’s not too hot out.
The kids’ summer camp is starting up in the mind palace and I’m a sort-of counselor. But the camp is really run by the Sith! It’s fun to see Siri’s antics. Obi-Wan went canoeing and almost drowned Bruck Chun (the obnoxious bully) by accident, and Bruck retaliated by mocking Obi-Wan’s quilt that he brought because he sometimes gets too cold, and the teddy bear Obi-Wan also brought for no real reason. Bruck tried to cut the poor bear’s head off with a chain saw! Siri and I are plotting what to do next…
(FYI: This is actually an email roleplay with me and Iris, who has a blog now: http://irisbloomsblog.wordpress.com/ She generally plays as Siri, and I act out Obi-Wan’s bits. :-D It’s loads of fun.)

      • 11 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 12:58

Hahaha! That is neatio. Just subscribed!

      • 12 erinkenobi2893 June 11, 2014 at 16:09

:-D It’s great that she finally has a blog.
And yeah, it’s pretty fun ;-)

      • 13 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:26

I’m sure the stories will be great!

      • 14 erinkenobi2893 June 12, 2014 at 11:15

Yes, indeed. :-D She has a great sense of the absurd.

      • 15 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:17

Nice! And the professor is absurd, so it should all work out.

      • 16 erinkenobi2893 June 12, 2014 at 19:36

In some cases, Iris is more absurd than Erin. In others, she is less so. :-P

      • 17 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:52

        And that makes sense.

      • 18 erinkenobi2893 June 13, 2014 at 17:39

        That’s good. :-)

  3. 19 xoxosanaz90210 June 6, 2014 at 00:12

So you really you should say don’t be afraid to walk away if you must. Very true, indeed. And I wonder why you singles Amelia from the other ladies standing with Mr. Ratherquite, who by the way almost always seems to be surrounded by them. Did the professor have a bone to pick with Amelia, or is she not a lady at all?

    • 20 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2014 at 13:46

Well, Amelia and I have been in a fight before, you see. Maybe several fights. She’s usually about bothering me, but this time she was just with Mr. R. what do you make of it? I can’t figure it out.

      • 21 xoxosanaz90210 June 6, 2014 at 21:41

Perhaps they are scheming on how exactly to go about scheming.

      • 22 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2014 at 15:05

And what should I do about it, do you think?

      • 23 xoxosanaz90210 June 9, 2014 at 16:46

Wait and be prepared, see how there scheme on scheming pans out. Mr. Ratherquite doesn’t seem like such a scheming fellow. He would likely tire pretty soon.

      • 24 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2014 at 20:56

I think you’re right: he’d ruin it for himself.

  4. 25 Veronica May 30, 2014 at 01:23

I think it would be more fun to go to parties, start some viciousness and then stand back and watch the fun

    • 26 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 13:04

Ooo, that’s so true. You mean you wouldn’t feel bad about it at all?

      • 27 Veronica May 30, 2014 at 22:53

Not at all. You and I could have a blast.

      • 28 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 23:55

Wouldn’t it get boring just watching, though?

      • 29 Veronica May 31, 2014 at 00:02

Well, if you really want to get in there and throw a few punches go for it, but stanfir back and watching the imminent implosion is way more fun.

      • 30 Professor VJ Duke June 2, 2014 at 11:59

I suppose you’re right for sure. We could laugh too.

  5. 31 The Dancing Rider May 29, 2014 at 13:42

What to say?! ;-) Oh, wait: the Professor IS wicked in a quiet way. I do like that Daddy Salami slapped down your “rude” gesture. Lol. I wonder if punch should have been dumped on LO, given her association with certain folks in the PL. However, none would DARE do anything to the professor. Nice try on trying to divert attention to poor Mr. Ratherquite. However, I do give the Professor mucho credit for NOT telling LO, and doing what he had to do upfront! :)

    • 32 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 17:42

And many thanks, DR! I was a bit spicy, for sure, and it’s a wonder. Usually I’m wicked in a quiet way as you pointed out!

But I’m picked on all the time, you know!

      • 33 The Dancing Rider May 29, 2014 at 20:35

Well, you can try a DS slap-down next time someone picks on you! ;-)

      • 34 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 13:00

*laughs* I’m sure it would be fun, too, you know.

  6. 35 L. Marie May 29, 2014 at 13:17

You showed remarkable restraint just dumping punch on her, seeing as how you had that katana.

    • 36 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 17:38

Haha! But it would have been cruel to chop! You wouldn’t have, would you have? *worried now*

  7. 37 Debbie May 28, 2014 at 20:04

“Don’t go to parties that are vicious.” Yep, true words of wisdom, Professor. Odd, though, that nobody you met at this snakey-gathering seemed one whit concerned with your katana! Methinks the “snakes” were of the human variety — am I right??

    • 38 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:43

Most of all the ones I saw were, yes! But…would you find the katana a bit odd?

  8. 39 bardictale May 28, 2014 at 19:37

That last piece is sage advice, professor.

    • 40 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:42

But…doesn’t the warrior in you want to go to vicious parties?

      • 41 bardictale May 29, 2014 at 16:05

No, life is vicious enough without me adding parties to it. My warrior wants a break, if it’s all the same to you.

      • 42 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 17:50

        Have you been fighting often?

      • 43 bardictale May 30, 2014 at 04:47

Yes. Just came back from battle, in fact.

      • 44 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 13:05

Can the professor have a few more details?

      • 45 bardictale June 1, 2014 at 16:58

About what, and of what type?

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke June 2, 2014 at 12:06

        Well, what sort of battle?

      • 47 bardictale June 2, 2014 at 20:12

A battle of endurance and strength of will.

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke June 3, 2014 at 12:29

        Did you win, Bard?

      • 49 bardictale June 3, 2014 at 13:25

I did this time, but it was a long battle.

      • 50 Professor VJ Duke June 3, 2014 at 18:37

You should have called me for backup!

      • 51 bardictale June 4, 2014 at 17:48

Maybe next time. I didn’t want to bother you with such a petty squabble.

      • 52 Professor VJ Duke June 4, 2014 at 18:48

Well, I’m always up for a fight if you need me, Bard!

      • 53 bardictale June 4, 2014 at 20:19

Thank you, professor. It’s wonderful to know that you have my back^^

      • 54 Professor VJ Duke June 5, 2014 at 14:11

        *bows*

  9. 55 Simply Skeptical May 28, 2014 at 17:25

Parties can be quite vicious especially with the characters dear Professor that you must deal with in the Punchy Lands. Stick to your guns. Good for Prof. always do what you must! :-)

    • 56 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:37

Yes! And thanks. It can be very tough. That’s why one must go armed with a katana or two or four!

  10. 57 technophile9 May 28, 2014 at 16:40

I feel sorry for Amelia. She’s been reduced to wooing Mr. Ratherquite. :(

    • 58 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:36

Was the professor a better catch?

      • 59 technophile9 May 28, 2014 at 22:27

How would you rate yourself? ;)

      • 60 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:53

Very poorly, I think. Don’t you suppose I’m too scattered?

  11. 61 InfiniteZip May 28, 2014 at 15:37

Was it rum punch at the vicious party? Did you see the snakes?

    • 62 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:31

Ooo, what’s rum punch? I did not see snakes, actually. A wonder, huh?

      • 63 InfiniteZip May 29, 2014 at 09:32

Rum punch is good, makes u punchy;) no snakes r good;)

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:55

Rum punch…the professor has never had it.

  12. 65 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 28, 2014 at 15:32

LottieOllie’s back again…? Oh, I’m glad you threw punch on her. I love that you were so vicious. I can’t wait to see where this is going!!

What is Mr. R doing with…with…her? Did you speak to Amelia, Duketh?
I hope you enjoyed the party.

    • 66 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:23

*smiles proudly* Gee, thanks! She was being wicked, you know.

I did not! (I think she might have been looking at me, though.) What should I have done?

      • 67 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 29, 2014 at 00:40

*smiles* Well, she’s up to something for sure, Duke. Keep your eyes wide open.

Good! (I will twist her hair in knots.)
I’m not sure, but I’m surer than sure, you know.

      • 68 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:54

        And the katana ready!

        (Why?)

Ooo…you know what I should have done, but you won’t tell, is that right?

      • 69 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 29, 2014 at 15:38

        Yes!

        (Because she’s mean to you.)

        Yes, that’s right. *reflects*

      • 70 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 17:49

        (Aw, that’s nice of you!)

        Tell me!

      • 71 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 29, 2014 at 18:22

        (No, tis mean of me!)

(Every time you say those two words my heart stops just a bit, btw. It’s kinda our phrase. I’m attached to it now.)
Well, I’m sure there is more to come for you two, but I think you did the right thing by not talking to her. I bet it upset her greatly to be ignored. I feel sorry for her a bit. Little bits. Maybe you should have gone to her and expressed your delight in her being with Mr. R, which I am hesitant to agree with, you know. I do like Mr. R and I hope she didn’t spend the evening talking to him the way she talks to you.

      • 72 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 12:51

        (Tis not!)

It is our phrase. Very funny that.

Why not? Do you suppose Mr. R might be mean?

      • 73 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 30, 2014 at 13:55

(I lose every argument with you.)

        Yea. Funny.

Well, I’m not sure, really. I think he is sweet to his ladies, however… I think he’ll do a good job of putting her in her place. He does things his way, which is nice.

      • 74 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 23:48

Yes, he is controlling, I guess…

      • 75 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister May 31, 2014 at 02:30

Do you find that to be a bad thing, Duketh?

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke June 2, 2014 at 12:01

Yes! It can be, I think.

      • 77 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 2, 2014 at 14:18

        T’is goodeth then, right?

      • 78 Professor VJ Duke June 2, 2014 at 15:58

        Yes!

      • 79 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 2, 2014 at 17:43

        *smiles*

  13. 80 Angeline M May 28, 2014 at 15:15

Wow, now this is an action sequence if I ever read one. You definitely weren’t afraid to do what you had to do. Dump punch and walk out….a spectacular finish with a flourish!

    • 81 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:20

*smiles proudly* Thank you! I wasn’t too mean, was I?

  14. 82 Hazy May 28, 2014 at 15:07

LottieOllie seems obnoxious. What kind of punch did you dump on her?

    • 83 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:19

It was some kind of pink punch! And she is. She deserved it!

      • 84 Hazy May 29, 2014 at 23:49

I bet she did! Did you have a taste of the punch before you dumped it on her?

      • 85 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 13:02

Yes! It was tasty. I love punch, you know. *smiles bigly*

      • 86 Hazy June 5, 2014 at 12:40

Oh, yes. Punches taste punchily good! Especially the pink ones.

      • 87 Professor VJ Duke June 5, 2014 at 14:24

        Yes!

  15. 88 walt walker May 28, 2014 at 13:27

It is less rude to point than to call attention to it by slapping down the pointing hand. The punishment for that should be getting pointed at by everyone in the vicinity and being called a super rudey. The dumping of punch on the super rudey might not be uncalled for either.

    • 89 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:17

Hahaha! For sure. But imagine what DS might have done, had that happened! Would you have been brave enough?

  16. 90 PorterGirl May 28, 2014 at 13:18

I always get excited about going to parties and then I am disappointed when they are not as good as I thought they would be (unless it is a party thrown by myself, of course). Good to see you were prepared for the snakes with your katana – such a shame you didn’t get to use it!

I like that Amelia is trying to become the The Third Lady (maybe?) of Mr R – I think she would be well suited. LottieOllie is very vexing, I am sure.

Your first moral is excellent, your second moral made me laugh – if I thought a party might be vicious I would make my way there with haste!

Superb tale, as always, my dear Professor :)

    • 91 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:16

It would have been nice to use i t! Yes, parties are fun. I should throw a professorish one.

I don’t know! Do you think she’s up to no good? Just being wicked by doing that? Horribly vexing, yes!

*laughing* I know you would! But…you could get attacked!

      Aw, thanks, Lucy!

      • 92 PorterGirl May 29, 2014 at 05:44

I don’t mind getting attacked, as long as the food it good :)

Who can tell what she is up to? But everyone in the PL seems to be up to something, so I am naturally suspicious ;)

If you have a professorish party, be sure to invite me so I can wear a suitable hat!

      • 93 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:54

        *laughing* I agree!

That’s true. Even the dull professor is always about something!

I would definitely invite you! I’d love to see your hat collection. *laughs*

      • 94 PorterGirl May 29, 2014 at 13:02

We could compare hats! I do love a good hat. And a good party :)

      • 95 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 17:36

Yes, and good parties are hard to find. Just like a good professor!

      • 96 PorterGirl May 29, 2014 at 17:51

Exactly that! And I certainly know a good Professor when I see one ;)

      • 97 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 17:54

And we both have yet to find one!

      • 98 PorterGirl May 29, 2014 at 17:56

Pah! Your modesty is enchanting! Wait… What about Professor K?!

      • 99 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 12:46

Good point. He was a great guy, huh? The professor is enchanted!

  17. 100 John W. Howell May 28, 2014 at 13:17

Well not to correct the Professor, but (here I go correcting the professor) I would say the moral is, don’t go to parties where the vicious may turn on a simple act of cooling off.

    • 101 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:15

*laughing* Was this such a party, John?

      • 102 John W. Howell May 28, 2014 at 20:08

Well I would say a cold bath of punch is no reason to become vicious, so I think the turn of vicious was there before you ignited the spark. (or doused the flame whichever)

      • 103 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:44

*laughing* Very true, for sure. I was merely getting done what was going to happen. I see.

      • 104 John W. Howell May 29, 2014 at 12:49

Yup. You were a tool of predestination.

      • 105 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:57

Hahaha! I feel special now, John!

  18. 106 FictionFan May 28, 2014 at 13:10

Ooh, the Professor was so mean and vicious and brave that he nearly stopped being c&a for a moment! Nearly.

So much interesting stuff in this – where to begin? Well! So Amelia is trying to become one of Mr R’s ladies? A good plan – she will fit in well with them (and Mr R will be much nicer to her than a certain person I could mention). And did the Professor manage to get some snake-hunting done while he was there? Any trophies? Or did he just spend all his time dumping punch on women? *shocked face*

    I do hope LottieOllie isn’t a trained assassin…

    • 107 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:15

Ooo, that was beginning to sound good, but it ended weak. We must improve on it.

Well, I just noticed Amelia happening there. She’s odd. I think she was looking in my direction, but I’m not sure, you know. Mr. R deserves her!

Oh she deserved it, don’t you think? No samurai code that I know of says you can’t dump punch on women!

      But she is.

      • 108 FictionFan May 28, 2014 at 20:13

But I bet all the great heroes really just wanted to be c&a, whereas for you it just comes naturally. That makes you superior to them…

He does – and I was so delighted that the Professor stayed well away from her. She was such a bad influence.

She may have deserved it, but I’m pretty sure the Darby Code of Gentlemanliness forbids dumping anything on ladies! *frowns severely and ducks just in case Professor has punchbowl handy*

Oh dear! Well, it’s been lovely knowing you… *takes out hanky and wipes a little tear*

      • 109 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:46

        Huff-Hum and maybe 12 roars!

And the professor is such a bad influence.

All gentlemen are profuse liars. Did you know that? Yes, it’s true. Plus, they’re vicious by nature. Darby… Lizio only got to know the true Darby after they married. (I don’t think I’d throw punch on you, but I might get BUS to give you a spank or two!!!!)

Hmm… Hector can’t be killed by an assassin.

      • 110 FictionFan May 29, 2014 at 18:35

        12 growls would be cuter…

Tchah! Darby and Lizio lived happily ever after, and he was a perfect gentleman always. And remained gorgeous well into old-age…no wobbly knees for him! (She could try! *threatening face*)

Is that because his skirt has magical powers?

      • 111 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 12:55

Cute is a bad word, I’ve decided.

That’s not how the professorish sequel would go! But I bet he got a few girlfriends, too.

*laughing* Yes, that’s exactly why. Plus, he has a short sword which a jewel in the hilt.

      • 112 FictionFan May 30, 2014 at 16:44

OK – 12 growls would be…viciouser then! (But still adorable…)

Oh, is the Professor writing a sequel? Is that what they call fan-fiction?

        Ah! That explains it!

      • 113 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 23:53

        *stern professorish face*

I am not! It’s just…the way I’d do it. In truth, I’m only familiar with the P&P story, thank heavens.

        Spit-tooey!

  19. 114 Me, Myself and DIY May 28, 2014 at 12:21

…Or find out the guest list before you go to the party. And if snakes are involved, (or people who act like snakes), just say NO.

    • 115 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:12

Very good idea indeed! Now, the trouble would be in getting the list. I suppose you could always sneak it out a week before the party, maybe?

      • 116 Me, Myself and DIY May 28, 2014 at 19:59

        Perhaps…

      • 117 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:43

        *nods* It is a possibility.

  20. 118 Susan P May 28, 2014 at 11:33

Two nods, a wink, and an astroid.

Atta boy, Professor. That was plain and simple attempted intimation, and it’s punishable by law.

    • 119 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 12:07

      Haha!

You mean I could get punished for being sweet?

      • 120 Susan P May 28, 2014 at 16:21

It’s the PL – ‘most anything could happen.

      • 121 Professor VJ Duke May 28, 2014 at 18:36

        Except there be multiple professors!

      • 122 Susan P May 28, 2014 at 19:02

And there are a number of different kinds of sweets.

      • 123 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 12:41

        Like lollipops for instance.

      • 124 Susan P May 29, 2014 at 13:59

I’m not a fan. However, I do like me some turtles.

      • 125 Professor VJ Duke May 29, 2014 at 17:45

        Turtles…sea ones?

      • 126 Susan P May 30, 2014 at 13:00

No. The ones that have caramel and chocolate covering pecans.

      • 127 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 13:09

        Ooo, I love those.

      • 128 Susan P May 30, 2014 at 15:00

Oh yea, chickit! There’s a little place in Helen Georgia where they make them and oh my.

      • 129 Professor VJ Duke May 30, 2014 at 23:52

Haha! I need me one now!

      • 130 Susan P May 31, 2014 at 18:43

Yeah, me too. One of the best features is that Harry doesn’t like them at all.

      • 131 Professor VJ Duke June 2, 2014 at 12:06

        And that’s a wonder!

      • 132 Susan P June 2, 2014 at 16:01

I can’t fathom it, but hey, I’m not complaining.

      • 133 Professor VJ Duke June 2, 2014 at 16:03

        He’s just being nice.

      • 134 Susan P June 2, 2014 at 16:09

        Always. Him wuvs me.

      • 135 Professor VJ Duke June 3, 2014 at 12:21

        *laughing*

      • 136 Susan P June 3, 2014 at 17:16

        *gets out tickle stick*

      • 137 Professor VJ Duke June 3, 2014 at 18:45

        What’s a tickle stick?

      • 138 Susan P June 3, 2014 at 19:39

You are about to find out.

      • 139 Susan P June 3, 2014 at 19:40

Tickler was what Pip’s sister called the stick she used to chastise Pip.

      • 140 Professor VJ Duke June 4, 2014 at 12:45

Pip should have fetched his sister–like the professor would have.

      • 141 Susan P June 4, 2014 at 21:21

Do you keep needles in your apron?

      • 142 Professor VJ Duke June 5, 2014 at 14:14

        Apron? That makes me growl.

      • 143 Susan P June 5, 2014 at 15:46

What? Butchers and Chefs use aprons.

      • 144 Professor VJ Duke June 5, 2014 at 19:38

        They do not! Only ladies.

      • 145 Susan P June 5, 2014 at 22:02

Excuse me, sir? I don’t think so.

      • 146 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2014 at 13:42

*rubs head* I must have something wrong somewhere then.

      • 147 Susan P June 10, 2014 at 00:32

        Don’t we all?

      • 148 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2014 at 13:37

        Well, I thought I was the exception…

      • 149 Susan P June 10, 2014 at 21:01

        You are the exception.

      • 150 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 13:01

        And love’s the flame.

      • 151 Susan P June 11, 2014 at 13:11

        Like this?

      • 152 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 13:14

        Like what?

      • 153 Susan P June 11, 2014 at 13:26

Did I forget to send the link?

      • 154 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:12

I fear so. Happens to me all the other times.

        http://www.flameoflove.us/

      • 156 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:02

        As in the Bolton song!

      • 157 Susan P June 12, 2014 at 18:08

        But he lies.

      • 158 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:43

Yes, kind of funny, I think.

      • 159 Susan P June 13, 2014 at 01:39

I had no idea that the Professor was fond of perjury.

      • 160 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 16:52

        Isn’t it dreadfully awfully nice?

      • 161 Susan P June 13, 2014 at 18:02

        I plead the fifth.

      • 162 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:15

        And I plead the 88th.

      • 163 Susan P June 15, 2014 at 23:53

Not all at once, I hope.

      • 164 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 16:39

Well, I’m not sure about it anyway.

      • 165 Susan P June 16, 2014 at 19:05

Never let anyone know you don’t know!

      • 166 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 22:44

        I shall try!

      • 167 Susan P June 16, 2014 at 23:42

        Try what?

      • 168 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 12:48

        Not to let anyone know!

      • 169 Susan P June 20, 2014 at 20:04

        Well, I don’t know, that’s for sure.

      • 170 Professor VJ Duke June 21, 2014 at 16:14

        Haha.

      • 171 Susan P June 21, 2014 at 16:58

        What?

      • 172 Professor VJ Duke June 22, 2014 at 19:07

        Yes?

      • 173 Susan P June 22, 2014 at 19:30

        :D
