What is this?

The professor has something rather professorish to show you. (At least, I think it’s swell.)

Here it is:

DSC00499

Now, I suppose that might be a little ambiguous.

So here’s a zoomed out shot of the same shot. (Technically, I guess it’s a different shot.)

DSC00500

This is a green screen.

What do you think of when you see this?

The professor thinks of movies, and then Narnia movies. And there’s a reason for that.

You see, all the animals wore green trousers with red dots behind the scenes.

I suppose they wore their normal trousers over them when they were shooting so you couldn’t see the hideousness of the outfit.

Bed knobs and broomsticks! One of my favorite movies.

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke June 18, 2014 at 12:50

Really? *laughing* It is a funny.

  2. 3 Nancy Loderick June 12, 2014 at 20:15

    Well Professor,

The first thing I thought of when I saw this green thing was a blade of grass. I thought you were getting up close and personal to nature. :)

    Nancy

    • 4 Nancy Loderick June 12, 2014 at 20:16

      Hey Professor (again),

I forgot to add that showing green grass is particularly professorish, unless of course you are Botany Professor.

      Nancy :)

      • 5 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:55

Really? Ha! And here I thought it wasn’t. Well, I reform. A botany professor…what are they like?

    • 6 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:55

But that doesn’t seem professorish? You know I cut grass?

      • 7 Nancy Loderick August 5, 2014 at 16:29

        Hey Professor,

You are a person of many talents! :)

        Nancy

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke August 5, 2014 at 19:14

        *bows* Many thanks. And dadblameries!

  3. 9 Hazy June 12, 2014 at 14:26

With the first image, I thought grass. Then golf. I don’t even like golf.

The green screen is fantastic! If you’ve seen Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, I thought of a scene from that, though they were holding up a white screen… the Hazy mind is odd.

    • 10 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:30

      Isn’t golf rather dreadful?

      *laughing* A white screen… ReallY?

      • 11 Hazy June 13, 2014 at 12:24

Indeed! I don’t quite understand why I’d stand under the sun for so long just to put a ball in a hole… I prolly just don’t have the patience for it.

*laughs* Yeah! They projected something on it for some kind of ruse.

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 17:10

Yes, I don’t have the patience for it either. Though I wouldn’t mind riding around in one of those little buggies!

haha! It’s amazing what they can do.

      • 13 Hazy June 17, 2014 at 12:03

Ah, yes! Those buggies seem awfully fun to drive around. Especially in a large place without traffic like the golf course!

      • 14 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 13:01

Yes! That’s what I’d do all day.

  4. 15 Me, Myself and DIY June 12, 2014 at 11:31

It reminds me of weather people because they didn’t used to be able to wear green or they’d have the radar all over them… ;)

    • 16 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:21

Aha! Yes, they stand in front of those screens. The green would key them out. A wonder, huh?

      • 17 Me, Myself and DIY June 12, 2014 at 14:28

        Gotta love it.

      • 18 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:30

        I think so, too.

  5. 19 laugraeva June 12, 2014 at 11:02

The amount of comments you get still amazes me (and makes me jealous!)

    • 20 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:16

Hey! How are you doing? Haven’t seen you in a while. And the professor has been ever professorish.

      • 21 laugraeva June 12, 2014 at 17:33

Hello! I’m good thank you, how are you? Yes my blog seems to have taken a back seat recently. Hoping to change that this very evening!

      • 22 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:40

I’m doing professorishly good, thank you! Good! I’d love to read some of your posts. This hot weather is horrid, isn’t it?

      • 23 laugraeva June 13, 2014 at 10:46

It’s quite a nice warm temperature over the pond.
I’m having a bit of a writer’s block, but will most definitely force myself to post something soon..

      • 24 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 17:03

Well, have you declared war on the writer’s block? That usually helps me.

      • 25 laugraeva June 13, 2014 at 17:20

I did, by using pen and paper rather than a keyboard. That always helps me!

      • 26 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:11

Oh, that helps. I have a board I use to write on. It’s much better that way, for sure!

  6. 27 The Dancing Rider June 11, 2014 at 20:42

Hysterical! And I got that it was a green screen. Amazing!

    • 28 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:30

It is spectacular! Don’t you think the professor should have been in Narnia? I would have been the Wicked Warrior.

      • 29 The Dancing Rider June 11, 2014 at 22:26

Ha, ha! I love it! I did so like the Narnia movies….

      • 30 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 13:54

Most of them anyway, I think!

    • 31 Symphonist Sepperl June 12, 2014 at 03:19

Movie you mean. The last two were very disappointing (you never guess what a HARD time I had spelling that word!) Disapointing….argh…dissapointing….argh…dissappointing…!!…disappointing.. aahhh..

      • 32 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:11

        Haha!

      • 33 The Dancing Rider June 12, 2014 at 20:39

Smirk, I feel your pain. Spelling? Meh. It’s overrrrrated!

    • 34 Symphonist Sepperl June 13, 2014 at 22:30

Yes, Thank you! Especially feeling that way since I lost a spelling contest with the Prof earlier.

      • 35 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:30

Wasn’t that a spicy thing, Symph?

  7. 36 walt walker June 11, 2014 at 19:08

Ack! When I see this I think of Sean Connery and Indiana Ford pretending to fly a fake plane in the Last Crusade movie show. I prefer a real plane in a real sky, a la Raiders of the Lost Ark. Not a fan of CGI, unless I can’t tell its CGI, which isn’t very often. Gollum was impressive, though.

Professor, is this a recent acquisition to your weapons cabinet?

    • 37 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:29

You mean you wouldn’t like the professor if he was a CGI image? Hmm!

The screen? Yes, I think so. How’s it add up?

      • 38 walt walker June 12, 2014 at 00:24

I would if I didn’t know the difference. If it weren’t obviously obvious.

Looks good. What’s that other thingy? Is that a mic? I have a nice Sennheiser shotgun mic that I’ve never used. And a big fuzzy softie for it to keep the wind off. Except there’s no wind in the closet.

      • 39 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 13:58

*laughing* And that makes sense to me. (You always make me laugh!)

It is a mic, yes. The principle one used for recording. I should use the pencil mics, too, but I don’t because I’m lazy.

Walt, that’s awesome! You should use it for something. And perhaps the fuzz softie could fit you, when you go outside?

      • 40 walt walker June 12, 2014 at 18:09

It might look good sticking up from the top of a marching bandsman’s hat. I could even put the mic inside and get secret audio of what trombonists talk about.

      • 41 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:45

*laughing* Which might be scary. Trombonists must have interesting conversations, though.

  8. 42 walt walker June 11, 2014 at 19:00

Ack! When I see this I think of Sean Conner and Indiana Ford pretending to fly a fake plane in the Last Crusade movie. I much prefer a real plane in a real sky, a la Raiders of the L

    • 43 Symphonist Sepperl June 12, 2014 at 03:21

I saw this comment all alone and felt I just had to reply to it. No comment should go unnoticed no matter how…err.. undeveloped? ;)

      Right Prof?

      • 44 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:11

Of course! Most of mine are underdeveloped, wouldn’t you say, Symph?

      • 45 walt walker June 12, 2014 at 21:47

I hereby give my blessing that this poor, neglected, unfinished comment be vaporized by anyone with the power to do so. If I didn’t have bigger and greater things causing me sleeplessness, I would say this poor, neglected, unfinished comment is doing it.

    • 46 Symphonist Sepperl June 13, 2014 at 22:31

Now Walt, that comment looks great right where it is. Plus, I’ve managed to spin a conversation out of it. Don’t be selfish.

      • 47 walt walker June 14, 2014 at 17:02

        Selfish?! Why I ought to

    • 48 Symphonist Sepperl June 15, 2014 at 16:46

Aha! So now that cajolery has failed you, you rely on threats… Why if I wasn’t so nice I’d…

  9. 49 Simply Skeptical June 11, 2014 at 18:00

Professor is this some sort of optical illusion? Who are these folks anyway?
Are they Punchyish do you suppose?

    • 50 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:28

They were from the Narnia cast, I think! It’s a green screen thingy tricky. See, the power it’s capable of producing!

  10. 51 erinkenobi2893 June 11, 2014 at 17:42

A green screen? Lucky! I wish I had one! :-D
They used the stretchy green stuff for Gollum, too, in “Lord of the Rings.”

    • 52 erinkenobi2893 June 11, 2014 at 17:43

And motion capture, so they actually had their rough animation right away while shooting. Cool! :-D

      • 53 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:28

That is. It’d be neatio just to be on a set, don’t you suppose so?

      • 54 erinkenobi2893 June 12, 2014 at 11:26

Yes, it would. (They actually used it for the figure representing the Devil in “The War of the Vendee,” and the angels at the consecration. Beautiful, beautiful movie.)

      • 55 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:19

I’ve never seen it! But it sounds good.

      • 56 erinkenobi2893 June 12, 2014 at 20:14

Oh, it IS! :-D It’s one of my favorite movies of all time, right up next to “Courageous” and “Fireproof.” And “The Lord of the Rings,” of course.

      • 57 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:53

        How about Star Wars?

      • 58 erinkenobi2893 June 13, 2014 at 17:41

Oh, Star Wars is on the list, but lower than the others. I actually enjoy geeking out about it more than I do watching it, if that makes sense. :-P

      • 59 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:13

It certainly does. I think that’s how I am.

      • 60 erinkenobi2893 June 15, 2014 at 22:48

The life of the fandom is probably mostly in the people who love to geek out about it. :-P

      • 61 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 16:35

        For sure. That right on.

      • 62 erinkenobi2893 June 16, 2014 at 17:15

SO… let’s geek out a bit. *sits down and absentmindedly watches Star Wars Call Me Maybe because she needs a laugh*

      • 63 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 22:38

Are you watching a part with Anakin?

      • 64 erinkenobi2893 June 17, 2014 at 14:32

        Nooo… Here, watch this:

        Hysterical, no? :-P

      • 65 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 17:41

Haha! I bet that takes a lot of time to put together.

      • 66 erinkenobi2893 June 17, 2014 at 21:48

I have no doubt that it did. :-P The guy spoofs awesomely. X-P

      • 67 Professor VJ Duke June 18, 2014 at 12:47

        He does! *bows to him*

      • 68 erinkenobi2893 June 18, 2014 at 13:46

:-) The Lord of the Rings one was almost as funny, in spots. Especially the drumming orcs. X-P

      • 69 Professor VJ Duke June 18, 2014 at 17:02

I’ll have to see that one!

      • 70 erinkenobi2893 June 18, 2014 at 18:12

“Lord of the Rings: Die Young”
The Drumming Orcs nearly killed me with laughter. X-P

      • 71 Professor VJ Duke June 19, 2014 at 00:52

Hahaha! Okay, those orcs were so funny! Especially the marching, too!

      • 72 erinkenobi2893 June 19, 2014 at 02:00

        X-D I know, right!? X-D

      • 73 Professor VJ Duke June 19, 2014 at 12:43

        *laughs*

    • 74 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:27

Aren’t they awesome? What would you do with it?

      Oh! That makes sense, actually.

      • 75 erinkenobi2893 June 12, 2014 at 11:25

Lots of things. :-) I would probably have a great time with it. Film projects and photoshopping and learning how to do better digital art. ;-)

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:18

Yes! All fun stuff for sure. It’s great having a studio that knows how to use it.

      • 77 erinkenobi2893 June 12, 2014 at 20:13

I need to learn how. Because that would be cool! :-D

      • 78 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:53

It’s actually not all that hard at all.

      • 79 erinkenobi2893 June 13, 2014 at 17:40

I just need to learn to use the software.

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:13

Just a click does the trick, really.

      • 81 erinkenobi2893 June 15, 2014 at 22:47

I’d have to figure it out, and maybe get the software in the first place. -_-
It is pretty cool, though, that nowadays people are shooting professional quality video on their digital cameras and editing it on laptops. You just need the software and know-how.

      • 82 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 16:35

Yep, that’s so true. And super cool!

      • 83 erinkenobi2893 June 16, 2014 at 17:00

        Indeed! :-)

  11. 84 deepbluesandseafoamgreens June 11, 2014 at 17:36

Narnia! *desperately looks around for the nearest wardrobe*
    :D

    • 85 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:27

VQ! Which book is your favorite?

      • 86 deepbluesandseafoamgreens June 12, 2014 at 05:17

The lion the witch and the wardrobe :)

      • 87 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:14

No, you like The Horse and His Boy the best!

  12. 88 InfiniteZip June 11, 2014 at 15:37

Way too cool, why not a purple screen with purple pants….the snow witch scares me…but I love Tilda.

    • 89 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:23

Now who’s Tilda? Well, you see green (and blue) is the farthest color from the human skin color, so it keys out better. Wouldn’t they look silly in purple?

      • 90 InfiniteZip June 12, 2014 at 09:15

But of course, that’s the fun. Tilda is the actress from the first Narnia movie…the icy mean witch:) she is English I think. I bet she lives in a castle.

      • 91 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:16

Would you like to go to her castle?

      • 92 InfiniteZip June 12, 2014 at 16:30

Of course, who wouldn’t? I am jealous, I want a castle, and a dungeon.

      • 93 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:34

Oh dear! Would you be a wicked ruler, do you suppose?

      • 94 InfiniteZip June 13, 2014 at 09:29

No, I would eat pizza and share with the world;)

      • 95 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 17:03

        And the professor?

  13. 96 FictionFan June 11, 2014 at 15:26

The Professor asks what do I think of when I look at the picture? I think i can honestly answer ‘absolutely nothing at all’. It has induced a blankness of mind in me never before achieved. Some people study meditation with grandmasters for years without ever being able to empty their minds as completely as that picture has done for me! It’s miraculous! But also worrying. *transcendentally blank face*

I wonder if the cast were given matching green baseball caps? *crashes back into the real world*

    • 97 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:21

*laughing lots* See? I think that speaks to how skilled I am…at that sort of thing. Or, well…but how can’t you see anything! Doesn’t it look spicy?

Hahaha! You wouldn’t see them if they did have them. It would have been keyed out, you know, you know, you know.

      • 98 FictionFan June 12, 2014 at 01:31

        No, spicy’s red! Green is…calming.

*laughing* Has the Professor acquired an echo machine too, too, too?

So…why the screen anyway, huh? (Did you like that Fats Henry impersonation there?) Are we to be treated to the beknighted Sausage riding a Centaur? Shall Mr Ratherquite be reprising his world-famous performance as the Ice Queen??

      • 99 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:04

Too bad the professor isn’t red.

        *laughing* What’s that thingy?

I loved it! (He’s easier than DS, huh?) Mr. R as the ice Queen…what made you think of that?

The screen opens up video possibilities…

      • 100 FictionFan June 12, 2014 at 16:33

I’m rather hoping the Professor isn’t green either…

        I don’t know – you’re the technical one!

(He is!) Hmm – well, I just couldn’t see Ruber as the Ice Queen, could you? Or it might have been alien mind control…

Intriguing! Shall we be seeing little Professors running about in green trousers?

      • 101 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:36

        Oh, I’m not. Just normal.

No, that’s Mic! *laughing lots* Okay, it’s actually called delay or echo today. That’s an…early term there.

You know, I’m not sure who the ice queen is, really. Or what he looks like.

Good heavens. That would be scary, wouldn’t it?

      • 102 FictionFan June 13, 2014 at 13:32

Oh, whatever the Professor is, I’m certain he’s not normal…

Of course – Mic! Silly of me!

The Ice Queen from Narnia – wasn’t that what she was called? Pretty sure she wasn’t a he…

Terrifying! (I note the distinct lack of denial though…)

      • 103 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 17:12

        He is too, dadblameit!

Well, wouldn’t the ice queen be scarier if it turned out to be a he? I think so!

*laughing* Well, it won’t be that!

      • 104 FictionFan June 13, 2014 at 20:06

No, he’s not! He’s supernormal! Unique!

*laughing* I think you’re right! Especially if it turned out to be the Sausage – or Manly-Worf! – in that frock and green trousers!!

Well, I don’t know whether to be disappointed or relieved! When will we find out? *taps foot impatiently*

      • 105 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:19

Unique…that might work. I like that word. Because it can be misconstrued!

*laughs* Yes, that would be scary. Maybe that’s why Edmund ran.

        Never, hopefully. Isn’t that good?

      • 106 FictionFan June 16, 2014 at 14:03

        It can!

I don’t know – because as so often happens in Punchy conversations I find I have become bamboozled, befuddled and bewildered… *bb&b face*

      • 107 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 16:59

Ah, that’s a normal day in the life of Professor VJ Scuttlebutt.

      • 108 FictionFan June 16, 2014 at 18:29

*laughing* Oh dear, it must be contagious then.

      • 109 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 22:41

        I fear it is!

  14. 110 Julie Harris June 11, 2014 at 15:25

Very interesting! And again, it’s my favorite color!! And Narnia movies are a favorite as well!

    • 111 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:20

They need to make The Horse and His Boy, don’t you think? That’s one of my favorite books!

      • 112 Julie Harris June 11, 2014 at 21:28

        Absolutely!

      • 113 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:31

        I’m Shasta, you know.

      • 114 Julie Harris June 11, 2014 at 21:41

Well then…it is quite a privilege to know you, Shasta!

      • 115 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 13:54

        *bows*

  15. 116 Debbie June 11, 2014 at 14:53

Cool, Professor. I’ve heard that was the way it was filmed, but you’ve made the explanation much clearer (and I love the Before and After photos!)

    • 117 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:19

Aren’t they just neatio? Glad I found that. Yes! Green screens are rather amazing. Don’t you think the professor belongs in the last shot? I should be one of those horse things.

  16. 118 L. Marie June 11, 2014 at 14:15

Ha ha! This is great, Professor! I’m always interested in the behind the scenes documentaries of films and shows–particularly fantasy works. So I see a ton of green screen stuff.

    • 119 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:15

Yes! So am I. I’ve recently enjoyed watching how they made Lord of the Rings. It’s really cool. And it’s amazing: stand in front of the screen, and you key right out!

      • 120 L. Marie June 12, 2014 at 12:37

Loved Peter Jackson’s behind-the-scenes videos. I’ve watched all of the ones for The Hobbit movies.

      • 121 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:21

        I should watch those ones!

  17. 122 Susan P June 11, 2014 at 13:31

I saw a green screen when I was watching how they filmed Avatar. Loved that movie.

    • 123 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:13

Aha! Do you? I kinda liked it…but I was pulling for the humans. The blue things were a bit scary. I must needs see John Carter now. Have you seen that?

      • 124 Susan P June 12, 2014 at 00:35

No, I haven’t seen John Carter.

They were just big cats. Sort of. I liked the way that the humans and big cats learned to communicate and to trust one another (some of them anyway). George liked it.

      • 125 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:02

I need to see it, I think.

Well, perhaps George should watch it again now…

      • 126 Susan P June 12, 2014 at 18:55

        Maybe he should. Meow

      • 127 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:51

        *nods wisely like Susan does*

      • 128 Susan P June 13, 2014 at 01:33

My hair is longer. I call foul.

      • 129 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 16:51

        Rats! Not fair.

      • 130 Susan P June 13, 2014 at 18:01

Too late to complain. Down the rabbit hole with you.

      • 131 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:15

Alice and I might have gotten along.

      • 132 Susan P June 15, 2014 at 23:52

Ah, but you’d have to watch out for the White Queen.

      • 133 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 16:38

        I would have fetched her!

  18. 134 John W. Howell June 11, 2014 at 13:21

It is swell. Green screen has given us more visual delights than can be imagined. This was professorial indeed.

    • 135 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:09

Many thanks. Yes, lovely invention. Or discovery. Which is it, btw?

  19. 136 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 11, 2014 at 13:16

I think of that TV show Who’s Line Is It Anyway, where the improv actor stands in front of a green screen and has to fugure out where the prompt has put them. Some of the best comedy moments ever, I think. Yes, and then I think of adventurous movies I don’t quite understand all the while watching them with others who do.

It is a nice screen, Duke. A pretty color of green. *smiles*

    • 137 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:07

I’ve never seen that show, but it sounds awesome. Yes, I’m a green-screen minded professor now.

Many thanks. Do you like blue better?

      • 138 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 12, 2014 at 03:01

Looking forward to seeing what you create, Duke.

Blue better than green, in general, or for screens?

      • 139 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:07

        Oh well…

Well, it depends, I hear. Green’s the best, I think.

      • 140 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 12, 2014 at 18:27

        Well, what?

Why is there a difference? Do they do different things?

      • 141 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:46

        Well…well…rats!

No, the same thing. It’s just whatever is farthest from the skin color–and it depends on the clothes.

      • 142 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 13, 2014 at 03:00

        Everywhere? Just great.

Do you enjoy your new screen, Duke? I bet you do. Skin color and clothes? Are you in fashion design?

      • 143 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 17:02

I am. It’s for the studio, so I don’t bother with it much. It’s a new toy for the gang. Fashion Design?! NO!!! Never. Will. Never. Will. Never!

      • 144 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 14, 2014 at 02:57

I think that it’s great you have a new tool. It’ll be fun to work with and a great investment. *sparkles* I was just wondering… Simmer down… *laughs*

      • 145 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:34

Yes? Wondering? You can tell me!

      • 146 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 16, 2014 at 03:32

I was just wondering if you were in fashion design. ..and you said no.

      • 147 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 16:48

That would be laughable, I fear.

      • 148 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 17, 2014 at 03:16

I’m a fan of laughter. You could say I thrive on it.

      • 149 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 12:56

You know, Audith, I think that’s how I am. I kinda like Sinbad’s comedy.

      • 150 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 17, 2014 at 16:18

*smiles* Yeah…I get that from you. He’s funny, too.

      • 151 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 17:49

        You do? That’s amazing!

      • 152 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 17, 2014 at 20:48

        Okay…

      • 153 Professor VJ Duke June 18, 2014 at 12:43

        Okay?

      • 154 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 18, 2014 at 16:53

Does it surprise you that I sense your enjoyment over laughter and having fun?

      • 155 Professor VJ Duke June 18, 2014 at 17:20

No! You seem to sense things about me all the time.

      • 156 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 18, 2014 at 19:21

        Why is that?

      • 157 Professor VJ Duke June 19, 2014 at 01:07

I’m not sure! Why is that?

      • 158 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 19, 2014 at 04:43

        I wish I knew…

      • 159 Professor VJ Duke June 19, 2014 at 12:52

Tell me, please, when you find out.

      • 160 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 19, 2014 at 16:51

        I will

  20. 161 PorterGirl June 11, 2014 at 13:05

What super trousers they are! For those chaps, of course, not for me. Coloured trousers are a big thing in my neck of the woods for some reason. Green screens are exciting, don’t you think? They can become anything! This is very neat, Professor :)

    • 162 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 13:12

Colored trousers! What colors would you say are the most popular?

Yes, they can become any professorish thing. It’s very cool.

      • 163 PorterGirl June 11, 2014 at 14:54

        Very cool indeed.

The most popular coloured trousers are either red or yellow, but lilac and purple are popular too. And royal blue. Oh also green. It’s like a trouser rainbow over here!

      • 164 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:20

Wowawee! Goodness. Red trousers. I can’t say I’d do it, but then again, I might be tempted. Is it only a girl thing?

      • 165 PorterGirl June 12, 2014 at 05:22

Actually it is almost exclusively a man thing! Can you believe it? It’s an interesting look. Also on the subject of trousers – what is a trouser? Can you have trouser in the singular or does it always have to be a pair of trousers? It keeps me awake at nights.

      • 166 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:15

        I can’t believe it! What a wonder.

*laughing* Lucy, that’s such an interesting questions. (Over here we call them pants, which makes it easier, I think.)

Trouser or pair of trousers…I don’t know! What should we do?

      • 167 PorterGirl June 12, 2014 at 15:41

Pants is still plural – what is one pant? I mean, it’s all just too much. I think trousers/pants should be banned completely!

      • 168 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:31

Yes, here here. Now we should come up with a word to replace it with, I think.

      • 169 PorterGirl June 13, 2014 at 05:21

LegShirt? As in – Hey, do you like my new LegShirt? I got it at Walmart

      • 170 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 17:02

*laughing* Yes! I think that works splendidly. Do you think it will be adopted?

      • 171 PorterGirl June 13, 2014 at 17:23

It should be. But I fear that it will only be you and I that will adopt it :(

      • 172 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:12

Well, let’s be proud about it!

      • 173 PorterGirl June 16, 2014 at 18:11

        :D

  21. 174 E. June 11, 2014 at 13:01

When all I saw was green, I thought, “Hey! That’s my color!” and got really excited. Then I saw it was a green screen and thought of Game of Thrones (giants, man! There were GIANTS!) and got even more excited.

    • 175 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 13:11

Well, what a good wonder, then! Excitement is priceless. Giants? There were? That sound so neatio! Tell me more.

      • 176 E. June 11, 2014 at 13:13

They were SO badass! And they rode wooly mammoths into battle, and a single giant could open a gate that was 4 layers of steel on. his. own. Oh my glob. It was awesome.

      • 177 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 13:14

Riding on wooly mammoths! Now that’s rather amazing and spectacular. Did they fight too?

      • 178 E. June 11, 2014 at 13:17

The mammoths? No, they couldn’t get past the gate. But I’m sure they would have trampled the puny humans, if given the chance.
The giants: yes. With battleaxes that were three times the size of a man.

      • 179 Professor VJ Duke June 11, 2014 at 21:08

Vicious mammoths! What a wonder. I would have liked to see them. Is it very violent?

Nice! That does sound professorish, doesn’t it?

      • 180 E. June 11, 2014 at 23:56

Lots of violence, yes, but not necessarily on the mammoth’s or the giant’s parts. That was all on the part of the humans.

Battleaxes always sound awesome, regardless of who you are.

      • 181 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 13:54

That’s true. It sounds wonderfully warrior-like.
