Plumbtastic!!! Hideous is delightfully wicked! I’m really looking forward to the next adventure. Glad to hear from Manly-Worf and Schwarz! :-D

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:58

Many thanks! *bows* Hideous is a great member to the cast. Neat voice, huh?

      • 3 L. Marie June 13, 2014 at 13:18

I agree about Hideous. (Just typing that made me giggle.)

      • 4 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 17:11

        *laughs* Definitely!

  2. 5 The Dancing Rider June 12, 2014 at 21:15

the call you are attempting can’t be completed tone…. terrible way for thing to start! ;-)

I like how Hideous is on top of everything….as the captain sort of stumbles re who might be rescuing them…

Isn’t it bad for a captain to lose his vessel?!

    • 6 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:57

What dadblamery for sure! But, I don’t think they should have left Schwarz and MM in the ship alone, do you?

      Exactly! Do you like Hideous?

It is! Do you suppose Schwarz and MM are wrong or right?

      • 7 The Dancing Rider June 13, 2014 at 21:22

Well maybe not. But if you can’t count on the crew?! What then?!

        I kind of like Hideous…..

I suspect there is a bit of “right” in MM and Schwarz, isn’t there? :)

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:22

True. Very true. It would be a hard position to be in, for sure.

Me too. But he is wicked, you know.

        Yes, I think you’re right. Maybe even…caring?

  3. 9 erinkenobi2893 June 12, 2014 at 20:39

Do they ever find out the difference between a Worf, a Manly-Worf, and a Manly-Wolf? :-P
Oh my, I just realized that the basic :-P emote looks like a mad koala. X-P
I suppose it was too much to hope for that Sidious had been foiled. (I think I must take a quarterstaff to his hide.)

    • 10 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:56

I don’t know. It would be neat to see, wouldn’t it? Is there a difference, do you think?

      *laughing* It’s a good look, I think.

Well, at least not now. Doesn’t he sound happy, though?

      • 11 erinkenobi2893 June 13, 2014 at 17:45

        I think a Manly-Worf is much uglier than a Manly-Wolf!
Indeed. My little sister is a Koalalimpet, which means that it might be pretty.
        He sounds nutty. ;-P

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:14

        I agree!

*laughing* Now that’s an interest of a name…

And a bit mean, I suppose.

      • 13 erinkenobi2893 June 16, 2014 at 00:30

:-P But a Warg is uglier than all of them put together!
        It is, isn’t it? ;-P
        Yes, I have no doubt.

      • 14 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 16:44

Does the name suffice for a last name as well?

      • 15 erinkenobi2893 June 16, 2014 at 20:22

        Probably. I haven’t asked her. :-P

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 22:47

        I bet it is.

      • 17 erinkenobi2893 June 17, 2014 at 14:41

It is. At least on the internet. :-P So she goes by either Raya or Koalalimpet.

      • 18 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 17:42

Well, the first is definitely easier to say…

      • 19 erinkenobi2893 June 17, 2014 at 21:51

It is, but Koalalimpet is more fun to say. :-P

      • 20 Professor VJ Duke June 18, 2014 at 12:48

I agree! It makes me laugh.

      • 21 erinkenobi2893 June 18, 2014 at 13:54

It does. It’s rather fun. :-)

      • 22 Professor VJ Duke June 18, 2014 at 17:03

For sure! Such a ring to it.

      • 23 erinkenobi2893 June 18, 2014 at 18:14

“Pest” isn’t nearly as fun to say. :-P

      • 24 Professor VJ Duke June 19, 2014 at 00:55

*laughs* Oh I”m sure she’s a bundle of fun!

      • 25 erinkenobi2893 June 19, 2014 at 02:02

She can be. When she’s not screaming about ice cream. >_<

      • 26 Professor VJ Duke June 19, 2014 at 12:45

*laughing* I could go for some!

      • 27 erinkenobi2893 June 19, 2014 at 15:47

That was five temper tantrums yesterday alone, that Raya had. -_-
So could I! Let’s leave Raya at home. ;-P

      • 28 Professor VJ Duke June 19, 2014 at 18:22

*laughing* Well, is she a Jedi of any sort?

Five would be tough. I give you lots of credit.

      • 29 erinkenobi2893 June 19, 2014 at 18:25

Well, she used to think she was one. She failed in the self-control department, though. :-P
Thanks… It helps to know that there are people out there rooting for me. :-P

  4. 30 Susan P June 12, 2014 at 19:18

Ahhhhh. MicP never disappoints. What a mess! How does a starship captain lose his ship? I think I heard Jazzy Cauldron laugh.

    • 31 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:51

Well, Henry went to explore the planet, remember. And Manly-Worf drove away. Not very nice was it?

      HE laughed?

      • 32 Susan P June 13, 2014 at 01:32

I’m sure I heard him laugh. Yes, I know how it happened, I just don’t know how it happened if you know what I mean.

      • 33 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 16:51

Do you suppose it was wrong of him to leave the captain?

      • 34 Susan P June 13, 2014 at 17:59

Not really. The captain tends to land on his feet.

      • 35 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:15

        And roll about?

      • 36 Susan P June 15, 2014 at 23:51

        And kick and pout.

      • 37 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 16:38

        What a great rhyme.

      • 38 Susan P June 16, 2014 at 19:04

        Face it: we’re geniuses.

      • 39 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 22:43

        Yes, Susan is!

      • 40 Susan P June 16, 2014 at 23:41

More like it takes two of us to get a jini

      • 41 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 12:47

        A jini…what a wonder.

      • 42 Susan P June 20, 2014 at 20:02

        And maybe a little stressful!

      • 43 Professor VJ Duke June 21, 2014 at 16:13

        Yes!

      • 44 Susan P June 21, 2014 at 16:57

        *grin*

    • 45 Symphonist Sepperl June 13, 2014 at 22:29

This captain is a bit awkward wouldn’t you say?

      • 46 Susan P June 13, 2014 at 23:08

Not at all. Why do you think so?

    • 47 Symphonist Sepperl June 14, 2014 at 01:03

Well to me it is fairly evident that he is a lumbering lummox.

      • 48 Susan P June 14, 2014 at 18:54

Would you dare say that to his face?

    • 49 Symphonist Sepperl June 14, 2014 at 23:52

      I have.

      • 50 Susan P June 15, 2014 at 02:06

You have a new title: “He who slaps the Captain with impunity.”

      • 51 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:37

Yes, he’s rather mean to Henry, I fear.

      • 52 Susan P June 15, 2014 at 23:59

Henry probably deserves it, don’t you think?

      • 53 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 16:43

        Well, no. He’s nice sometimes.

      • 54 Susan P June 16, 2014 at 19:08

I did see the crate of cashews he went you.

      • 55 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 22:45

        Oh, he wouldn’t do that.

      • 56 Susan P June 16, 2014 at 23:44

How do you explain that he sent them to you then?

      • 57 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 12:49

But are you sure he did?

      • 58 Susan P June 20, 2014 at 20:06

Well, someone sent them to you.

      • 59 Professor VJ Duke June 21, 2014 at 16:16

Oh you did! How nice of you.

      • 60 Susan P June 21, 2014 at 17:02

        I think it was Nick.

      • 61 Professor VJ Duke June 22, 2014 at 19:09

He’d eat them first–just to spite me.

      • 62 Susan P June 22, 2014 at 19:33

Now! Why would he want to do that?

      • 63 Professor VJ Duke June 23, 2014 at 13:29

        I don’t know!

      • 64 Susan P June 23, 2014 at 15:19

Don’t you think you should find out why? I mean, you might be able to cut him off at the pass, you know?

      • 65 Professor VJ Duke June 24, 2014 at 00:12

        Could you maybe do it?

      • 66 Susan P June 24, 2014 at 01:10

You’re not afraid of Nick, are you?

      • 67 Professor VJ Duke June 24, 2014 at 13:47

        Yes, he’s like a worm.

      • 68 Susan P June 24, 2014 at 14:17

He doesn’t look like a worm to me – wait, do you mean a dragon?

      • 69 Professor VJ Duke June 25, 2014 at 11:56

Worms aren’t dragons! And that’d be too cool for him, I fear.

      • 70 Susan P June 25, 2014 at 12:13

Ah, but “worm” is an ancient reference to a dragon.

      • 71 Professor VJ Duke June 25, 2014 at 12:18

No! Wait–you’re right. Hmm…now you’ve got me thinking.

      • 72 Susan P June 26, 2014 at 00:45

Uh-oh. You could do something with that, couldn’t you?

      • 73 Professor VJ Duke June 26, 2014 at 16:18

Yes…I think I could. Not sure if I should, though.

      • 74 Susan P June 26, 2014 at 23:11

        Why not?

      • 75 Professor VJ Duke June 27, 2014 at 13:18

        Well, it would get bloody.

      • 76 Susan P June 27, 2014 at 13:30

Since when has that been an obstacle?

      • 77 Professor VJ Duke June 27, 2014 at 20:53

That’s true. Though I had to get rid of a PL story, ’cause it was heading that way.

      • 78 Susan P June 28, 2014 at 20:31

        Must a been a humdinger.

      • 79 Professor VJ Duke June 30, 2014 at 12:40

        It was!

      • 80 Susan P July 1, 2014 at 16:17

Alas for the loss of a good bloody story.

      • 81 Professor VJ Duke July 1, 2014 at 21:51

You’d like it? I’ll keep that in mind!

      • 82 Susan P July 2, 2014 at 01:01

Hey, I read Stephen King. Lottsa blood there.

      • 83 Professor VJ Duke July 2, 2014 at 13:36

That’s true. He’s a bloody beast. But…the professor is too sweet for that!

      • 84 Susan P July 2, 2014 at 16:50

and if I believe that you will tell me another one!

      • 85 Professor VJ Duke July 2, 2014 at 21:55

        *laughing* Now be sweet, Susan!

      • 86 Susan P July 3, 2014 at 01:00

        Just as sweet as BillySue.

      • 87 Professor VJ Duke July 3, 2014 at 20:20

        Which isn’t very much!

      • 88 Susan P July 4, 2014 at 20:18

        Exactly my point.

      • 89 Professor VJ Duke July 6, 2014 at 18:17

        *laughing*

      • 90 Susan P July 11, 2014 at 18:10

*grinning* I’ve learned one thing for sure: do not meddle with Southern Belles.

      • 91 Professor VJ Duke July 12, 2014 at 01:33

        Miss Susan, then!

      • 92 Susan P July 12, 2014 at 14:50

I’m not a southern belle! Do I look like Scarlett O’Hara to you? :p

      • 93 Professor VJ Duke July 14, 2014 at 12:42

        What did she look like?

      • 94 Susan P July 14, 2014 at 14:19

Wicked. She looked wicked. and beautiful. And conniving.

      • 95 Professor VJ Duke July 14, 2014 at 19:40

Wicked. Well, that’s nice. I’d fetch her. She was not beautiful! Didn’t the book start off, “Scarlett O’Hara was not beautiful, but men seldom…”?

      • 96 Susan P July 14, 2014 at 19:46

I don’t remember the beginning, but I do recall the ending.

      • 97 Professor VJ Duke July 14, 2014 at 20:00

        I love when books end.

      • 98 Susan P July 14, 2014 at 20:14

        Book ends? Yes?

      • 99 Professor VJ Duke July 15, 2014 at 12:42

Dadblameit! That’s not what I meant. *grumbles*

      • 100 Susan P July 15, 2014 at 21:15

Oh. You DON’T like book ends?

      • 101 Professor VJ Duke July 16, 2014 at 00:44

        Ah! You’re scheming!

      • 102 Susan P July 16, 2014 at 12:15

Okay. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. How’s that for screaming?

      • 103 Professor VJ Duke July 16, 2014 at 13:09

You made the welkin ring! How is your throat now?

      • 104 Susan P July 16, 2014 at 14:09

        !!!!!

      • 105 Professor VJ Duke July 16, 2014 at 17:29

        Goodness me!

      • 106 Susan P July 16, 2014 at 18:32

        Yep. that’s only the beginning.

      • 107 Professor VJ Duke July 17, 2014 at 00:16

        It can’t get worse, though.

  5. 108 Simply Skeptical June 12, 2014 at 15:45

Never fear Spock and his logic is here! Spock is my favorite and having Manly Man a Punchy favorite makes it especially great! Hideous is so creepy. Will Schwarz save the day? Can’t wait to find out. Awesome music!!

    • 109 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:33

Many thanks, SS! I like Spock too. Do you suppose Hideous is really sweet, though?

  6. 110 PorterGirl June 12, 2014 at 13:49

Oh-Ho what a brilliant episode! Where to begin?! I love Hideous… and Khan too. Very evil :) I do feel a bit sorry for Kirk-Picard, he only wanted to go exploring. I really wish I was in the ship cruising with Schwarz Data and Manly Worf – I just adore those chaps! And what a cliffhanger ending. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant :D

    • 111 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:27

And you know, Lucy, I think they could use you in the Starship Exercise. But then again, DS is chasing them…does that change things?

Hideous is my favorite, I must admit.

      Many thanks!

      • 112 PorterGirl June 12, 2014 at 15:42

I think I would be very helpful aboard the Exercise, no matter who might be chasing it! Tell Schwarz Data and Manly Worf to pick me up next time they fly over England ;)

      • 113 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:33

I will definitely tell them! You’d have to keep them in line. You see, I don’t think they listen to orders well. I’ve tried before!

    • 114 Jazzy Couldren June 12, 2014 at 15:53

Hey, you could make muffins for us.

      • 115 PorterGirl June 12, 2014 at 16:16

Hey I sure could! Any kind you like :) I can also fight bad guys, should the need arise

      • 116 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:33

        Ooo…muffins!

      • 117 PorterGirl June 13, 2014 at 05:22

        :D

      • 118 Jazzy Couldren June 12, 2014 at 18:33

I’s got plenty of RPGs you could use.

      • 119 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:48

        Don’t get violent, MM.

  7. 120 meeinal June 12, 2014 at 13:33

Hilarious….had a hearty laugh! Thank you:)

    • 121 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:26

      Many thanks! Wasn’t it Punchyish?

      • 122 meeinal June 12, 2014 at 14:28

        More than you can think:)

      • 123 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:30

        Do you suppose it’s good?

      • 124 meeinal June 12, 2014 at 20:12

Off course it was professor….. You should go for more spoofs, there are so many funny ones like my favourite spoof is the scary movies:)

      • 125 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:53

Oh! Good idea. What scary movie?

      • 126 meeinal June 13, 2014 at 09:31

It’s a very good English funny movie….download it from yify torrents, good prints there.

      • 127 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 17:03

        Many thanks for the recommendation!

  8. 128 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 12, 2014 at 13:30

The Starship Exercise! I’m such a fan, Duke. I feel for the Captain. He’s lost all control and now he’s in jail. You seem to be doing a lot of that, you know. PL time-out of sorts. *laughs*

Hideous is creepy! I live the visual of Manly-Worf and Data cruising around. Willowjuice sounds like it might have girls on it. :) I love the name!

    • 129 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:26

Many thanks, Audith! *laughs* But don’t you think he’ll get back on top of things? I mean, Henry is a fighter, you know. (They all need time-outs! Even the professor.)

Poor Hideous. I think he tries, you know. WillowJuice…DS is on it!

      • 130 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 12, 2014 at 18:42

I’m hoping you let him fix the situation, yes. I don’t know Henry that well. (Well, you’re the boss, you know. Do it!)

Tell me more about him. DS has a ship full of women with him?

      • 131 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:51

Fats Henry is a very big man, you know. (I’m not the boss! I just tell what I see.)

No! He’s on there with Ruber. Why do you think women?

      • 132 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 13, 2014 at 02:40

Well I assumed that…it is unfortunate he has to live with that name. Is Fats a poker or jazz reference or is he a large man? (Oh, I thought. ..forget it.)

I know he is… You said the planet would have women. I just assumed the Willowjuice was in charge of transporting them. I know nothing and should really start visiting the PL as if its Groundhog Day…fresh start everyday.

He’s a large man. That’s where the name comes from. (What? Tell me!)

Well, I’m not sure about that. Shouldn’t you keep some things in mind?

      • 134 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 14, 2014 at 02:33

        (It’s nothing.)

I try to keep everything in mind. You do a great job of confusing me, I think.

      • 135 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:31

        (You must tell!)

        No! What questions have thou?

      • 136 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 16, 2014 at 03:02

(I just thought I had part of you figured out, but I don’t, which is fine.)

Yes, you like to keep me confused. I usually ask when I have questions.

      • 137 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 16:45

        I might live in confusion.

      • 138 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 17, 2014 at 03:09

        I’m sure it happens.

      • 139 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 12:53

It sure does. Every so often. But it’s natural.

      • 140 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 17, 2014 at 16:05

I like how you talk me off a ledge, you know.

      • 141 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2014 at 17:46

        The fall is always beautiful.

      • 142 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 17, 2014 at 20:23

        *jumps off*

      • 143 Professor VJ Duke June 18, 2014 at 12:39

*jumps too* Where will we end up, I wonder.

      • 144 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 18, 2014 at 16:43

Catch up with me… Ooo, well the ground first. *laughs* (Unless we have our invisible capes, which I don’t think we do.)

      • 145 Professor VJ Duke June 18, 2014 at 17:18

Too bad you didn’t strap a parachute on!

      • 146 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 18, 2014 at 19:18

        Did you? Oh man….

      • 147 Professor VJ Duke June 19, 2014 at 01:04

        *grabs Audith and lands safely*

      • 148 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 19, 2014 at 04:32

*sighs deeply* My Hero! Thank you, Duke. How’d we end up here?

      • 149 Professor VJ Duke June 19, 2014 at 12:50

We jumped! That’s how you end up most places, actually. You have to jump!

      • 150 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 19, 2014 at 16:33

We did jump… Wondering if we jumped far enough because this is a very small cliff we’re on. It’s foggy here, too.

      • 151 Professor VJ Duke June 19, 2014 at 18:26

        Maybe a werewolf is around.

      • 152 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 20, 2014 at 02:51

        Werewolves are interesting creatures.

      • 153 Professor VJ Duke June 20, 2014 at 13:28

        They were hunted to extinction.

      • 154 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister June 20, 2014 at 16:53

        Oh, I see!

  9. 155 FictionFan June 12, 2014 at 13:16

Brilliant, as always, Prof! Love, love, LOVE Hideous – so single-minded. Poor Kirk-Picard is sounding just a shade frazzled, huh? And my Schwarzy just gets all the best lines – “Hello?” was the best I think, though I’m extremely partial to “So, so, hello? Ho, ho?” too. So wonderfully expressive!

But that cliffhanger ending – I hope we won’t have to wait long for the next episode…

    • 156 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:25

Imagine! A Hideous fan. Maybe he’ll overtake Schwarz one day? Schwarz does say his lines well, I admit. Do you suppose Schwarz and Manly-Worf are wrong or right?

Next week! (Don’t you think? I mean, I think’s it better than having a break.)

      • 157 FictionFan June 12, 2014 at 17:09

Well… I don’t know if he could ever replace Schwarzy in my affections, but I felt as if I did sense some similarities between the two. I seem to be drawn to the wicked ones with c&a voices – that must be why I like the Professor, huh? I think they’re wrong, but for the right reasons. Or maybe they’re right but for the wrong reasons. What do you think?

Yay-yay-yay!! (Yes, I do think it’s better – especially for those of us with wobbly memories! Actually I’m looking forward to when they’re all out so I can listen to the whole series in one mammoth session…)

PS I love the way Manly-Worf seems to have adopted that as his real name…is that method acting?

      • 158 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:39

Well, the professor doesn’t have a cute voice, and I’m very wicked. But Schwarz isn’t, is he?

I think it’s both of them actually. Yes, definitely now that I think about it.

*smiles bigly* I should link them together like a good fellow. We’ve got some interesting things coming up, I think.

        What did he adopt?

      • 159 FictionFan June 13, 2014 at 13:44

Yes, you do – that cute little American accent. So sweet! And you always underestimate my Schwarzy – of course, he’s wicked! That’s why he always wins!

        Or neither, maybe.

*nods enthusiastically* Yes you should, good fellow! Hints, please!

The name Manly-Worf. Everyone else is listed in the cast list as “Fats Henry as Captain Kirk-Picard” for example, but Manly-Worf is just listed as that! If I didn’t think he’d be mortally offended, I might call it cute…

      • 160 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 17:16

There’s no such thing as an American accent! Rats and a Heifer. DS is more evil!

        Yes, that’s it.

*laughs* The professor is a good fellow. Well…I’ve got to study more Star Trek, I fear.

*laughing lots* No! I made a mistake. MM’s going to kill me if he sees that.

      • 161 FictionFan June 13, 2014 at 20:19

Oh, calm down and have a popsicle, y’all! Oh, DS just resorts to massacring everybody, but my Schwarzy’s much more subtly wicked. He just uses his unique logic to drive people frothing mad! Coolio!

Or not. Perhaps. Or perhaps not.

He is! Woo-hoo! Does that cryptic statement imply there’s going to be another series?? *somersaults three times and does a cartwheel*

*chuckling* Aha! So I can blackmail you over that then…

      • 162 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:22

Y’all…I’ve never heard you use that! What a wonder. I didn’t know it was said in Scotland. It’s a supreme wonder, I think.

Well, I’ll let you decide. If you’d like too.

Another one? There’s going to be more episodes! (I’ve always tried to do a cartwheel…I think I get close, you know.)

        But you won’t, will you?

      • 163 FictionFan June 16, 2014 at 14:11

It’s only used in Scotland when we’re pretending to be American…

        Maybe I will, maybe I won’t.

(Honesty compels me to admit I don’t think I ever even got close.)

        Hmm…

      • 164 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2014 at 17:00

Oh! You were being wicked. *laughs* I’m so dull at times.

        Huff-Hum to you, madam!

        (It’s a hard task!)

      • 165 FictionFan June 12, 2014 at 17:15

Oh and twice I’ve forgotten to mention how much chuckling was caused by the caption ‘City can’t be seen from this camera angle’ – *guffaws loudly*

      • 166 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:39

*laughing lots* You know, I thought no one would see that, too! *laughs*

    • 167 Symphonist Sepperl June 13, 2014 at 22:27

What do you all say? Ye?

      • 168 FictionFan June 14, 2014 at 00:23

        Nay! Ice lolly…

    • 169 Symphonist Sepperl June 15, 2014 at 00:04

Ice lolly is a very poor substitution. “You all” or “y’all.” Much better.

And when the prof. said we Americans don’t have accents, he wasn’t referring to the New Yawkers or to the folks daown Saouth… On each end of the country West and East, pretty much we have NO accent. There might be a few things that slip out when we talk fast, but all in all it is very refined. :D

      • 170 FictionFan June 15, 2014 at 15:37

But we’ve heard the Professor talk – and he so DOES have an accent! And if you don’t think he does, then you must speak like him – therefore you too must have an accent. Though ‘refined’ makes me think you must talk like the Queen…

    • 171 Symphonist Sepperl June 15, 2014 at 18:02

No, no, no. You have an accent so when you listen to us you hear the ABSENCE of an accent and that to you becomes the accent. :-)

      • 172 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2014 at 18:38

That’s what I’ve always thought. But I’m coming to doubt the principle, Symph. FEF is rarely wrong.

      • 173 FictionFan June 16, 2014 at 13:59

        *laughing Scottishly*

  10. 175 Julie Harris June 12, 2014 at 13:09

Hmmm…there’s no sound when I went to view it…perhaps I need to turn up my hearing aid!? Lol

    • 176 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:23

No way! Maybe try reloading the page. Let me know if the problem persists! Dadblamery I tell you.

  11. 177 floridaborne June 12, 2014 at 13:08

The overly done and atrocious music was hilarious. Well worth the time to laugh at. :-)

The parodies of the early Star Trek used to include Captain Kook and Mr. Spook. Did you know that Mr. Spock’s nose made a great bulls-eye on a dart board?

    • 178 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 14:23

*bows* Many thanks! All of it?

I did not! Did people throw darts at the poor soul?

      • 179 floridaborne June 12, 2014 at 17:18

        Yep, oh professorishly prudent one.

      • 180 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2014 at 22:40

The professor isn’t prudent–well, maybe I am. What’s it mean exactly?

      • 181 floridaborne June 13, 2014 at 01:16

You try to make a career out of being wise–but as a professor, that isn’t what you’re being paid for. Instead, you’re being funny. :-)

      • 182 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2014 at 16:51

*bows head in defeat* I think you’ve got a point there. You know that?
