Ripping Movie Review: The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)

Screen Shot 2014-09-06 at 8.40.39 PM

Greetings from the professor!

Today, the studio rips “The Amazing Spider-Man 2!”

Not a very good name for a sequel, if you ask me. I mean, they probably could have done better.

You know, the trailer made the movie look much better than it was. In fact, the trailer should have been the movie. If the trailer was the movie, the movie (trailer, I suppose you could call it) would have been a better movie.

At least, the professor is thinking that would be so.

Here is “The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014)!”

(WARNING: After watching this movie, one might suffer from the infamous disease “Retro-Viral-Hyper-Playedya.”)

Also, if you have a youtube account, be sure to like this video! (Does wonders, you know.) Also, share it—with everyone you know! The studio will be indebted.

Fab review professor! And your cane is still awesome.

I haven’t seen this either, like the first one. *sheepish smile* Spidey must be really good, he fought three freaky enemies at once!

Haha, I think Gwen heard you. She didn’t wanna “stay with me” either.

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:29

Thank you! I love that can. I think I should get a sword cane, you know.

Well, in a way! It’s good that you haven’t seen it. They’re horridly boring! Don’t watch them!

      *laughs* Yes.

      • 3 Hazy September 17, 2014 at 12:39

A sword cane would be plumbtastic! Weatherly approves.

      • 4 Professor VJ Duke September 17, 2014 at 14:34

        Nice!

I haven’t seen this movie, Duke. I’m shocked. So you didn’t like it?!? I was hoping that the movie would keep me glued to my seat. Why does every villan have to look so dang scary? Creeps me out. Chick flicks are so much easier to view. Maybe you can try one of those for a change?

Y’all cracked me up with this one. I do wonder why they repeat themselves so much….hmmm!! *laughing* Thanks for the smiles…

    • 6 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:12

Well–I didn’t! The pacing is horrible. And I loved the ones with Tobey Keith. Do you know those ones? Well, what movie counts as a chickflick? Certainly not Finding Neverland.

*laughs* Our pleasure! You know, I don’t know! Was it improv, maybe?

      • 7 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 15, 2014 at 13:43

Toby McGuire? Toby Keith is a native Oklahoma country music star…fancy him as Spider Man!!! Wowie! *giggles a lot* I think this Spider Man is a bit cuter though….
Certainly does!!!! But too old to rip now, sadly. Nobody knows that movie.

        Yes, probably improv…goodness.

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:53

*laughs* I call him that, for some reasons. He has a longer neck, you know.

That doesn’t really matter, you might be surprised.

        Goodness?

      • 9 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 15, 2014 at 19:55

That’s funny! Does he? I had no idea.

Oh it matters…one should be able to find the movie first and they couldn’t.

        Yes?

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 22:31

He does! He’s a bit dorky, I fear.

        Well, I can find it.

        (Well, what’s goodness mean?)

      • 11 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 16, 2014 at 02:31

        Who’s dorky? Explain yourself, Sir.

Well la tee da…I can find it, too. I find it all the time.

(I’m not sure…goodness meaning…well there you have it, I guess. Or improv makes me wonder.)

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke September 16, 2014 at 13:36

        The Spider-dude guy!

*laughs* Lat Tee Do! See…that’s exactly what I mean.

(Yes…I thought so. It makes me wonder, too.)

      • 13 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 16, 2014 at 19:34

Sorta, but that’s not a bad thing!!!

*smiles* La Tee Fu…Phewy on you! You think you’re so smart. *folds her arms over her chest*

        (But why? Tell me.)

      • 14 Professor VJ Duke September 17, 2014 at 14:22

It is! Well, probably not. For SM it is!

Fooey on you! Oh no. I’m duller than a raindrop, you know.

Well, ’cause it can be wild!

      • 15 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 17, 2014 at 20:46

        I disagree.

Quit misspelling my word, Duke. I have loads of raindrops here today.

        and fun!

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke September 18, 2014 at 14:34

        Lots of raindrops? Sounds…wet!

      • 17 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 18, 2014 at 21:01

        Very wet.

  3. 18 The Lite Rider September 13, 2014 at 20:57

We refuse to even rent this one. So. Very. Tired. of Spiderman, Superman, etc. I bet it deserved every single ripping comment, and I’m glad it did! :) I loved the Spiderman versus (et. al.), and the music.

    • 19 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:05

Yes! It needed more of a severe ripping. It’s just no good, LR. Quite boring and vexing. Now, I’ve never seen Superman.

      • 20 The Lite Rider September 15, 2014 at 21:12

Oh. And don’t forget the seemingly never-ending stream of Batman movies…..

      • 21 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 22:33

Right you are! Which is the worst? In your opinion.

      • 22 The Lite Rider September 16, 2014 at 19:59

Spiderman and Superman are tied for worst. Batman a close second!

      • 23 Professor VJ Duke September 17, 2014 at 14:24

*laughing lots* I do know what you mean about Batman!

  4. 24 erinkenobi2893 September 12, 2014 at 21:19

    I agree with Ruber. :-P

    • 25 Professor VJ Duke September 13, 2014 at 18:20

Yes! A shocking line, wasn’t it?

      • 26 erinkenobi2893 September 15, 2014 at 00:28

        It was indeed.

      • 27 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:43

I wonder why he’d say “Spiderwoman.”

      • 28 erinkenobi2893 September 15, 2014 at 23:56

This incarnation of Peter Parker is extremely confusing. (I love his name, by the way. It’s kind of fun, and very geeky. :-P)

      • 29 Professor VJ Duke September 16, 2014 at 13:22

Yes, isn’t it? I think it must be tops of geeky names!

      • 30 erinkenobi2893 September 16, 2014 at 20:23

It is indeed. X-D Unless, that is, “Connor Rawleigh” gives it a run for its money???

      • 31 Professor VJ Duke September 17, 2014 at 14:27

That’s a super one, too. I think it just might.

      • 32 erinkenobi2893 September 17, 2014 at 21:42

:-D Yay! At least Connor’s name won’t flop on its face! :-P

      • 33 Professor VJ Duke September 18, 2014 at 14:37

        It shan’t!

      • 34 erinkenobi2893 September 18, 2014 at 15:22

        :-D
One minute, I should probably go polish up this chapter and post it as a sample for this story…

      • 35 Professor VJ Duke September 18, 2014 at 20:25

        Okay!

      • 36 erinkenobi2893 September 19, 2014 at 12:46

        :-)

  5. 37 L. Marie September 12, 2014 at 17:58

Normally, I’m all over superhero films. Love to head to the theater to watch them. But I skipped this one. I loved the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man films (at least the first two). But with the reboot, I simply didn’t care enough. And your review (good one as usual) made me glad I did.

    • 38 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 19:06

Yes, me too. Tobey can’t be beat, I think! The action isn’t as good in these ones either.

  6. 39 Susan P September 11, 2014 at 21:38

This movie deserved to be ripioed. Too, too funny – it makes me glad I didn’t go see it. Do we get to rip the commentator? Dadblameit!

    • 40 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 12:50

You mean, rip that poor, flustered individual on the screen???

      • 41 Susan P September 12, 2014 at 19:27

Well, it almost seems like a travesty to even talk about doing such a thing.

      • 42 Professor VJ Duke September 13, 2014 at 18:03

        But why is that?

      • 43 Susan P September 13, 2014 at 18:24

He seems like a decent chap, dadblameit~!

      • 44 Professor VJ Duke September 13, 2014 at 18:31

But doesn’t his coat give the impression that he’s up to no good?

      • 45 Susan P September 15, 2014 at 14:34

*squinty eyes* What makes you think he is up to something?

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 22:16

Well…can you see his eyes? Should never trust a chap who’s eyeless.

      • 47 Susan P September 16, 2014 at 00:02

Of course I can see his eyes. Too much makeup, but that’s drama for you. His eyes are soulful.

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke September 16, 2014 at 13:25

        Soulful? Really???

      • 49 Susan P September 16, 2014 at 17:48

        What?

      • 50 Professor VJ Duke September 17, 2014 at 14:15

        Ten roars!

      • 51 Susan P September 17, 2014 at 14:47

And a rooster and a veezel.

      • 52 Professor VJ Duke September 17, 2014 at 20:02

        A Veezel is an interest.

      • 53 Susan P September 17, 2014 at 23:32

So ’tis. What do you propose to do about it?

      • 54 Professor VJ Duke September 18, 2014 at 14:40

        Call the Veezler forthwith!

      • 55 Susan P September 18, 2014 at 19:47

*tapping foot* What are you waiting for?

      • 56 Professor VJ Duke September 18, 2014 at 20:33

        He’s out on an errand.

      • 57 Susan P September 18, 2014 at 21:22

Right. Am I supposed to believe that?

      • 58 Professor VJ Duke September 19, 2014 at 17:52

        He’s eating snails.

      • 59 Susan P September 19, 2014 at 20:23

He should take them out of the shells first.

      • 60 Professor VJ Duke September 21, 2014 at 19:25

And put them in a sauce??

      • 61 Susan P September 22, 2014 at 12:59

Well, I like them boiled in herbs, but a sauce might be an interest.

      • 62 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 19:48

        A banana sauce.

      • 63 Susan P September 22, 2014 at 20:34

Only if it is laced with chocolate.

      • 64 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:04

        And cherries.

      • 65 Susan P September 23, 2014 at 17:34

        But of course!

      • 66 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 20:01

        *laughs*

      • 67 Susan P September 23, 2014 at 20:51

I love me the Bing Cherries in the summer.

      • 68 Professor VJ Duke September 28, 2014 at 19:23

I wonder if Bing liked them.

      • 69 Susan P September 29, 2014 at 07:36

        The crooner?

      • 70 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 14:47

*nods* Yes, that one. Surprised you know him!

      • 71 Susan P September 29, 2014 at 15:13

        Who /doesn’t/ know him?

      • 72 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 23:13

        Hmm…I bet…I bet…well, I could name a lot!

      • 73 Susan P September 30, 2014 at 15:21

*tapping foot* I’m waiting for names.

      • 74 Professor VJ Duke September 30, 2014 at 19:50

Well, that would give something away…

      • 75 Susan P September 30, 2014 at 21:07

I have vays of making you talk…

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke October 1, 2014 at 11:59

        *hides*

      • 77 Susan P October 1, 2014 at 13:53

You can run but you can’t hide. *ROARRRRRRRRRR*

      • 78 Professor VJ Duke October 1, 2014 at 16:12

        *turns invisible*

      • 79 Susan P October 1, 2014 at 16:29

*gets out her ultra red spy glasses*

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke October 2, 2014 at 12:22

        …cooooool…

      • 81 Susan P October 2, 2014 at 14:09

        Peek-a-boo! I see you!

      • 82 Professor VJ Duke October 2, 2014 at 17:50

        And I’m red.

      • 83 Susan P October 2, 2014 at 18:25

You are related to the Salami family then?

      • 84 Professor VJ Duke October 3, 2014 at 12:30

        Of course not!

      • 85 Susan P October 3, 2014 at 12:50

        but, but…

      • 86 Professor VJ Duke October 3, 2014 at 19:37

        Yes?

      • 87 Susan P October 3, 2014 at 22:01

But who is going to attend to it?

      • 88 Professor VJ Duke October 5, 2014 at 17:56

        Umm…Lucy.

      • 89 Susan P October 5, 2014 at 19:52

        Does she know this?

      • 90 Professor VJ Duke October 6, 2014 at 12:16

Not yet… I should tell her?

      • 91 Susan P October 6, 2014 at 14:39

        Yes. Do it immediately

      • 92 Professor VJ Duke October 6, 2014 at 19:44

Won’t do it! *stamps foot like the Princess probably does*

      • 93 Susan P October 6, 2014 at 20:50

She may stomp, but it does not gain her anything good.

  7. 94 Debbie September 11, 2014 at 21:29

Oh dear. I fear I haven’t seen either of these Spider-Man movies (and here I call myself a web designer, heehee!). Thanks for the rip, Professor. You’ve just saved me a chunk of change!

    • 95 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 12:50

*laughs* That makes you that much more a better designer! *bows* My professorish pleasure. Did you see the original ones?

  8. 96 Sonya Solomonovich September 11, 2014 at 21:14

I can see how this caused much repulsion! Happy to say I haven’t seen either of the “Amazing” spiderman films.

    • 97 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 12:49

Good for you! The professor is proud of you the sudden. Wasn’t Spider-Man an interest?

      • 98 Sonya Solomonovich September 13, 2014 at 01:53

He was an interest for a while. I enjoyed the one with Tobey Maguire, the first one, not so much the two sequels.

      • 99 Professor VJ Duke September 13, 2014 at 18:28

Yes, I agree. Though…that doctor guy was kinda cool! Would you like to be Spiderman? I think I would.

      • 100 Sonya Solomonovich September 15, 2014 at 01:49

        I would too!

      • 101 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:45

Though I’d be nervous swinging for the first time!

  9. 102 LadyPinkRose September 11, 2014 at 20:57

*laughing* Professor, firstly I LOVE your do! Definitely moppish I would say! And as for the ripping, where do they get these actors from? What a stupid movie. Now Spiderman is in high school? How did that happen? Dumb, boring, stupid, insipid, poor, not worth seeing movie. I hope I did your ripping justice. Cordially, LadyP

    • 103 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 12:49

*laughing* You’re right about my hair, and thank you! I think you did. Did you like Rhino, LadyP?

      • 104 LadyPinkRose September 12, 2014 at 16:33

Do I like Rhino ….. hmmmmm….. not particularly. Why?

      • 105 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 19:04

Well…do you have a favorite villain? I like Venom.

      • 106 LadyPinkRose September 12, 2014 at 23:55

Venom is good as mixers. Did you know?

      • 107 Professor VJ Duke September 13, 2014 at 18:21

I did not! Tell me more, please.

      • 108 LadyPinkRose September 13, 2014 at 19:56

Why sure! How else does one survive when that one drinks a Bloody Mary for example, or a Brown Cow. Have you ever thought of it? How does one survive?

      • 109 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:03

        Well…you tell me!

  10. 110 Lady Cheetah September 11, 2014 at 18:51

Manothunder. How ever could they make a sequel. I think I would have been more entertaining if spider man twerked in the movie. Thank you for helping me save $1.62 for a Redbox rental.
    :-)

    • 111 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 20:40

*laughing* Lady! You might have a point there, but…goodness! Well…you did see the first one, right?

  11. 112 icedmocha34 September 11, 2014 at 17:42

I liked it a lot…Andrew Garfield is beautiful!

    • 113 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 20:31

Did you know he was 61?

      • 114 icedmocha34 September 11, 2014 at 23:39

        61???????????????????????? Noooo, he’s like thirty!!!!

      • 115 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 12:56

That’s what he wants you to believe! You have to admit he’s a bit too old to be in high school!

      • 116 icedmocha34 September 12, 2014 at 16:10

He is, but he acts it out well. I mean, like I always order from the kids meal at restaurants and the waiter never says anything, so I must be a good actress too.

      • 117 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 18:59

There you go. It does seem like a point. You have to think, though, they were unfair with Rhino! I mean, didn’t you want to see that fight???

      • 118 icedmocha34 September 12, 2014 at 19:35

Haha, yeah. I thought it was a great movie though…he’s really cuuuute. :D

      • 119 Professor VJ Duke September 13, 2014 at 18:10

But did you see his neck?

      • 120 icedmocha34 September 15, 2014 at 00:40

Huh? You mean the spider bite? *confused*

      • 121 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:44

        He has a long neck!

      • 122 icedmocha34 September 15, 2014 at 17:35

Ooooooh, haha , like a giraffe. I like giraffes. XD

      • 123 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 22:25

        *laughing lots* I can’t win, can I?

      • 124 icedmocha34 September 16, 2014 at 20:23

        Nope! :D

      • 125 Professor VJ Duke September 17, 2014 at 14:28

        Crap!

      • 126 icedmocha34 September 17, 2014 at 16:38

        Bwahaha!

      • 127 Professor VJ Duke September 17, 2014 at 20:14

        Such a good mean laugh!

  12. 128 Jennwith2ns September 11, 2014 at 17:01

Due to current location, I am not yet able to watch this video, but I look forward to it, because we watched this movie, to our own chagrin, last weekend and I can agree that it was atrocious. They should’ve stuck with Tobey Macguire.

    • 129 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 20:31

Yes! Wasn’t it a wonder they remade them? Okay…were you bored? I was through this movie, and I’d never think that would happen in a SM movie.

      • 130 Jennwith2ns September 11, 2014 at 20:53

        Utterly

      • 131 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 12:48

Yeah, and that was a wonder. I blame it all on Electro.

Personally, I found Spidey’s character arrogant and abrasive. I would’ve reacted like Electro, too, probably, under the circumstances.

      • 133 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 18:44

You mean you would have wanted to be king (queen)?

      • 134 Jennwith2ns September 12, 2014 at 20:48

        Well duh.

      • 135 Professor VJ Duke September 13, 2014 at 18:16

        Goodness me!

      • 136 Jennwith2ns September 13, 2014 at 18:17

        :-D

      • 137 Professor VJ Duke September 13, 2014 at 18:31

        I might rebel, you know.

      • 138 Jennwith2ns September 13, 2014 at 20:15

        I would expect so.

      • 139 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:03

So you’d have to be ready with an army of sorts.

      • 140 Jennwith2ns September 15, 2014 at 13:47

Noted. I have two dogs and a cat. That’s a start, maybe? (Especially the cat.)

      • 141 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:54

Definitely. That’s the beginnings of a great army. I’m sure the cat would be the general?

      • 142 Jennwith2ns September 15, 2014 at 15:49

        Yes.

      • 143 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 22:24

You could make me general, if you’d like.

      • 144 Jennwith2ns September 16, 2014 at 01:31

What–so you could mutiny? I don’t think so!

      • 145 Professor VJ Duke September 16, 2014 at 13:32

Rats and a Heifer! It was worth a try, you know.

  13. 146 floridaborne September 11, 2014 at 16:03

As much as I like spider man, it’s been done to death.

    • 147 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 16:08

For sure! Why do you suppose they remade them five years later?

      • 148 floridaborne September 11, 2014 at 16:11

        I’ve wondered the same thing.

BTW: Your review was very funny. :-)

      • 149 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 16:15

I love the first three they did!

Aw, many thanks! What do you make of the professor?

      • 150 floridaborne September 11, 2014 at 16:37

The professorish persona is a good touch.

I liked the Spiderman movies with Tobey Mcguire. Why can’t the new movies explore his life with Mary Jane Watson, and how his aunt feels when she finds out he’s spiderman instead of re-hashing the same old plot?

Anyway, I’m looking forward to Star Wars episode VII. At least that isn’t a rehash.

      • 151 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 20:28

        *bows* Many thanks!

I agree! It did seem like a complete re-do of the same scenes! Maybe they could have had more to do with his parents too. I found that unsatisfactory.

So am I! No chance for Windu to have survived, huh?

      • 152 floridaborne September 11, 2014 at 23:58

I’m expecting to see Han, the Princess, and Luke entering in a walker, a wheelchair and a cane. But I’m sure they’re taking all their supplements and are ready to spring into action. :-)

      • 153 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 12:57

*laughing lots and lots* This is what I’ve been thinking! I bet Luke will be the master, huh? I mean, Jedi Master.

  14. 154 Simply Skeptical September 11, 2014 at 15:19

Punchalicious! Wowawee! What a Humdinger! Prof. your everwhere and the only one making any dadblame sense “tell ya what?” I borrowed that from the smart one – Schwarz.

Yep agree! High-schoolers they’re not; really now. Hollywoo-woo really markets to the deft too often anyhow.

This cracked me up the promise breaker so blatant and his deserved haunting (laughing).

Music right-on! Perception right-on! Analysis (thanks Rubie) right-on! Sets, cameras, action right one! Right on Professor! Another winner! Love these!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you…oops sorry for all the repeats. :-)

    • 155 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 16:07

*laughs* Schwarz does same some spicy things! And thank you!!

Aha! You saw it too. Who were they fooling? It’s just a wonder, I tell you.

I know, right?! He actually said that? Can you believe that?! He should be tortured, don’t you think? Such a bad example…

*laughs* Our pleasure! Thank you, SS.

  15. 156 PorterGirl September 11, 2014 at 15:10

*Huge laughing* Just fabulous Professor! And team, of course. These are better than the actual movies, by far. One day there should be a PL movie, you know.

Many thanks for once again making my Thursday super-awesome

    • 157 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 16:05

Thank you! That’s a cool idea! A PL movie would be interesting. I’d hire you to help out on the scriptwriting. Not sure I can do that! You said that was hard, right?

Our pleasure! Did you see this movie?

      • 158 PorterGirl September 11, 2014 at 16:25

I found scriptwriting hard (although, I’ve had some more practice now) but I would be honoured and delighted to help out on that front, Professor! Any time.

I did see this movie. It was poo (see, I promised I would be rude!)

      • 159 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 20:26

Well, thank you! How’s that all going for you?

*laughing* But that’s perfect! I mean, you summed it up perfect. Did you go to the theater?

      • 160 PorterGirl September 12, 2014 at 07:23

It’s going much better now I’ve got my head round how to do it. It’s a completely different discipline and took me a while to ‘get’ it. But I never give up on these things and eventually, I triumph! So I am at your service for anything you need in that area.

I was naughty. I did not go to the cinema but an illicit copy of the film somehow found its way to me. Shhh!

      • 161 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 12:58

*fist pump* Awesome for you! That is just awesome. Love that you stuck with it. I know a screenwriter!!! And thank you!

*laughing lots* I love illicit copies! *mum lips*

      • 162 PorterGirl September 12, 2014 at 13:03

*laughs so much, falls off chair and round and round the floor*

      • 163 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 18:44

        *starts laughing too*

  16. 164 weggieboy September 11, 2014 at 15:00

Thanks to suggesting we visit YouTube to “like” this ripping review, I discovered I was subscribed to these videos, but, because of some odd business in YouTube where you have to check off that you also want to receive notification of new videos – subscribing apparently isn’t enough! – I learned of the quirk, corrected it with a check mark, and now will get notifications. What a retarded way to handle things, YouTube! Why would anyone subscribe if they didn’t actually intend to get, actually WANT notification when a new one is posted? I don’t get it!

    • 165 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 16:05

A wonder! You know, I think youtube has gotten more confusing over the years. It’s a wonder anyone can do anything!

  17. 166 FictionFan September 11, 2014 at 14:54

*laughs so hard she sets off a small earthquake* Oh, that was brilliant, C-W-W! So much good stuff in it but my favourite bit had to be the “Stay with me!” “Stay with me!” bit at the end! And wasn’t the girl’s dad hysterical? His face never changed expression – not once! Did he get an Oscar for the role? And I think the high school graduate girlie really needs to borrow some of my wrinkle cream…

Thank you so much – not only have you entertained me, you’ve also saved me from the potential foolishness of ever watching the dadblamed film!

    • 167 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 16:04

*smiles bigly* An earthquake! Goodness me!!! Thanks so much, FEF! Yes, wasn’t he a wonder repeating that over and over? That was shocking. He was! His face looked like it was…was as stone or something! I’m not sure if he got an oscar or not, but he deserved some metal for the best expressionless face ever!

And what about him! Didn’t he look older than that?

*laughs* My pleasure! But are you sure…you don’t want to watch just a bit?

      • 168 FictionFan September 11, 2014 at 18:51

I forgot to mention that I just adore the way you say ‘Aunt’ – it’s so…special! *chuckles*

I actually thought he looked about ten years younger than her – but poor girl! Listening to him repeat everyhting five times would prematurely age anyone…

(Well, I think I liked you on youtube but I can never tell – I hate youtube, have I ever mentioned that? For liking and commenting, I mean – not for watching.)

Oddly enough, I’m not even tempted! I don’t even think I could be bribed to watch it…

      • 169 Professor VJ Duke September 11, 2014 at 20:40

*shocked face* What can you mean? I say it like a normal chap! Now, I’m wondering if I mispronounced it… *laughing*

Aha! Well…that means she’s about 71. And you have to admit, she looks rather swell for that. Yes…his mind must be a computer of sorts.

(Oh, don’t worry about that! I hate it, too, for that. It’s such a weird place. All white and little boxes everywhere. It’s scary. It looks much better when posted on the blog.)

Rats. It’s a boring movie. You’d perfectly hate it. But, then, I can’t think of a superhero movie that you would like!

      • 170 FictionFan September 12, 2014 at 14:21

Like a normal American chap, perhaps! *chuckles and tries to say it* Ont! Awnt! *chuckles again*

Good noodles! If she’s 71 could you ask her to lend me some of her wrinkle cream!

Hmm…I can’t really, either. I did quite like our Jack as The Joker, and I quite enjoyed Christopher Reeve as Superman – but not enough to ever bother rewatching them, I fear. Perhaps you should make a movie with the Professor as a superhero – I wonder what special powers you would have… *thinks*

      • 171 Professor VJ Duke September 12, 2014 at 18:55

Well, goodness! How do you say it?

I bet she’s wearing a mask and wig. Maybe like Darby!

*laughing lots and lots* I should have known you liked those ones! (It’s said, you know, that your Jack doesn’t hold a candle to Heath Ledger.) My special power would be confusion, obsificaion, computer-hacking.

      • 172 FictionFan September 13, 2014 at 01:49

Well, you see, I’d say that we say it like ‘ant’ – but who knows how you say that?

Oh, she’s much older than Darby!! Who by the way DOES NOT WEAR A WIG!!! Unlike someone else I know…

(Said by silly people!) *chuckles meanly* Your power of obsificaion is already working…

      • 173 Professor VJ Duke September 13, 2014 at 18:27

You’re picking on my perfect un-accent-able voice!

*laughing* Can you imagine that? And you know, I started with Darby’s wig, before I decided on one…

        (*sticks out tongue*) *laughs*

      • 174 FictionFan September 14, 2014 at 00:11

*laughing* Is that what it is? Odd that having no accent sounds so…American…

I know – you just copied him out of jealousy. It’s understandable…

      • 175 Professor VJ Duke September 15, 2014 at 13:09

And you know, I was just told I have an accent in the US! Compared to other states! *goes into shock*

        I like him, it’s true.
