Ripping Movie Review: Godzilla (2014)

PF! Welcome and hi, and maybe a hello! This week will be a bit odd–schedule wise. This RMR was supposed to be published last Thursday, but lots of dadblameries happened at once–and all in between. It will be a short week. The last post will be Tuesday.

What is one supposed to call a movie that has hardly any Godzilla scenes?

Definitely not Godzilla!

This movie, you see, is badly in need of a severe ripping.

And so, this professor, the analysts, and the whole MicP Studios Team has done what they’ve done–no, they’ve done what they needed to done! Something like that…

It should be mentioned, too, that Godzilla is a bit overweight in his 2014 appearance.

It must be all the radiation.

A Godzilla movie with no Godzilla? What dadblamery is this?! Godzilla should sue them or something. The camera added a gajillion pounds on him too, prolly why he looks chubby…

Thank you for the ripio! Makes me glad I hadn’t bothered watching it. *laughs at MUTO Darby and Lizzie*

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 14:57

He does look chubby! They were unfair. Not only should sue for not appearing enough, he should also sue for them messing up his looks!

*laughs* My pleasure! *bows* But I’m sorry I watched it!

      • 3 Hazy October 7, 2014 at 11:40

*laughs* You can think of watching it as service rendered to the greater good of the PL family. Then you probably wouldn’t be too sorry you watched it. I think.

      • 4 Professor VJ Duke October 7, 2014 at 13:05

There you are. I feel better already, I think!

  2. 5 erinkenobi2893 September 23, 2014 at 22:02

You’re right. It was so completely a love story. X-P

    • 6 Professor VJ Duke September 28, 2014 at 19:27

      *laughing* Have you seen it?

      • 7 erinkenobi2893 September 28, 2014 at 21:26

No, and I don’t want to. Honestly, if that incarnation of Peter Parker looks like Anakin, I’m not going to touch it with a ten-foot pole.

      • 8 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 14:43

*nods* But I thought you sorta felt bad for Anakin. Which meant, you sorta liked him.

      • 9 erinkenobi2893 September 29, 2014 at 20:36

I did, but one Anakin is quite enough for the galaxy. Or for the mind palace, as the case may be. (This is the movie you ripioed, remember? ;-P)

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 23:24

*laughing* Yes, good point. Anakin deserves to be locked up. Too many of him would ruin…everything.

      • 11 erinkenobi2893 September 29, 2014 at 23:43

0_0 Yes. But one of him… it’s okay. Sometimes. :-P

      • 12 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 23:48

        Even when he was “good”.

      • 13 erinkenobi2893 September 30, 2014 at 13:34

True. :-P If there were more than one Anakin Skywalker, the Jedi Temple would be in ruins, even if both of them were light-side at the time! :-P

      • 14 Professor VJ Duke September 30, 2014 at 19:44

        *nods, laughing* Imagine Windu!

      • 15 erinkenobi2893 September 30, 2014 at 20:06

I think Windu would be more worried about Obi-Wan having a twin. :-P

      • 16 Professor VJ Duke October 1, 2014 at 11:52

*laughs* I sense some friction between them. I think because Qui-Gon was Obi’s master.

      • 17 erinkenobi2893 October 1, 2014 at 12:03

Nah, Qui-Gon was friends with Mace Windu. Windu’s just concerned because Obi-Wan can be a handful. :-P I mean, he doesn’t often disagree with the Council, but when he does–watch out, because he’s going to argue everyone else around to his side.

      • 18 Professor VJ Duke October 1, 2014 at 12:10

But didn’t Qui-Gon always give the council a hard time?

      • 19 erinkenobi2893 October 1, 2014 at 12:22

He did, but he was friends with a bunch of people ON council.

      • 20 Professor VJ Duke October 1, 2014 at 16:04

Yes, I know. That’s what I love about him: he stood apart.

      • 21 erinkenobi2893 October 1, 2014 at 22:05

Yeah. And he wasn’t wholly unlikeable either. :-P

      • 22 Professor VJ Duke October 2, 2014 at 12:33

Not at all. I’ve said before he should have been a Sentinel. I wonder if Rosalie would agree.

      • 23 erinkenobi2893 October 2, 2014 at 13:31

*makes face* I think she’d have quite a bit to say about that… Especially since we both read the same story in which Obi-Wan nearly became a Sentinel and it almost destroyed him.

      • 24 Professor VJ Duke October 2, 2014 at 17:47

Yeah, but Qui-Gon would make a good one. Who cares about Obi. I’m actually surprised he’s a warrior.

      • 25 erinkenobi2893 October 2, 2014 at 21:39

Um, no, actually, he wouldn’t. Too compassionate.
Who, Obi-Wan?! I’m not. He may dislike violence, but he’d fight to the death for a worthy cause.

      • 26 Professor VJ Duke October 3, 2014 at 12:39

Well…so would Yoda! I still think Obi should have had a green lightsaber.

      • 27 erinkenobi2893 October 3, 2014 at 13:03

Yoda I’ll give you. *mutters* insane little green troll…
Well, he does in my RP on Nanowrimo! ;-P But green is supposed to be the Consular color. Still, Obi-Wan has more of a Consular-like skill set, though he trained as a Guardian…

      • 28 Professor VJ Duke October 3, 2014 at 19:38

So, he went about the whole thing in a wrongly fashion.

      • 29 erinkenobi2893 October 3, 2014 at 23:01

        ….Obi-Wan?

      • 30 Professor VJ Duke October 5, 2014 at 17:57

        Yes. He’s such a baddy.

      • 31 erinkenobi2893 October 5, 2014 at 19:19

No, he’s not. He just has a wicked sense of humor that makes people think he’s weird… or do they think he’s a sociopath just because he doesn’t wear his heart on his sleeve? Man, my head hurts… :’-(

      • 32 Professor VJ Duke October 6, 2014 at 12:13

        Well, maybe…why’s your head hurt?

      • 33 erinkenobi2893 October 7, 2014 at 12:35

Because I’m sick. :-( And I can’t rest properly because college.

      • 34 Professor VJ Duke October 7, 2014 at 13:09

Oh. Sorry to hear that. I do hope you get better soon. Dadblame college!

      • 35 erinkenobi2893 October 7, 2014 at 16:15

        So do I…
        X-P

      • 36 Professor VJ Duke October 7, 2014 at 19:49

        *nods*

  3. 37 Lady Cheetah September 23, 2014 at 15:54

This rip was soo hilarious and spot on! You would think an over-sized lizard would have had more air time in his own movie but hey, what can we say.

    • 38 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 19:56

We should bomb…the movie! I mean…how do you suppose we could get revenge for so little Godzilla?

      • 39 Lady Cheetah September 24, 2014 at 13:49

Getting revenge? It’s not worth it.

      • 40 Professor VJ Duke September 28, 2014 at 19:31

Hector would do it, dadblameit! And don’t you want to be like Hector?

      • 41 Lady Cheetah September 28, 2014 at 19:51

No. More like Zena Warrior Princess!

      • 42 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 14:42

I think I’ve heard of her. Couldn’t beat Hector!

  4. 43 Sonya Solomonovich September 23, 2014 at 01:30

A well-deserved ripping! I was an extra in that movie too along with Godzilla. I think I got edited out, though. I was supposed to be in that scene at the end where everybody looks up as Godzilla retreats into the ocean.

    • 44 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:14

Seriously?! That’s so cool. Did you meet Godzilla then?

      • 45 Sonya Solomonovich September 23, 2014 at 23:11

I know, it was pretty exciting. Unfortunately did not meet Godzilla, it was just a big greenscreen and we were supposed to imagine him lol.

      • 46 Professor VJ Duke September 28, 2014 at 19:28

That’s still super cool. Did you harass any of the actors? I think I would have.

      • 47 Sonya Solomonovich September 29, 2014 at 21:32

Harassing the actors was against the rules, but in any case I didn’t see any actors I recognized. Would you still harass them knowing it was forbidden?

      • 48 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 23:26

Yes! We’d have set off together. And…gone for that Japanese guy.

      • 49 Sonya Solomonovich October 2, 2014 at 03:02

Hahaha! Sounds good. What would you say to him?

      • 50 Professor VJ Duke October 2, 2014 at 12:35

I’d ask him to say something clearly, please.

      • 51 Sonya Solomonovich October 7, 2014 at 22:29

        LOL

  5. 52 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 22, 2014 at 23:11

Aw. Poor Godzilla, an extra in his own movie. However, I can’t say that I blame the director, Duketh. Between you and me, he lacks the acting skills. The fire didn’t even look real. I’ve seen some Texans who, after eating jalapeños, have more fire coming out of their mouths. This movie looks more than terrible. ..only saving part was seeing cutie pie, Spidey.

Your Professorish 101 was still far too in depth for me. I loved the drawings.

I knew MM would have something to say about this movie, too!! *laughs*

Leave those poor lovebirds alone, Sir! I thought they were too cute…Darcy isn’t my type so rip him all you want. Just leave his friend alone.

    • 53 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:07

*grumbles about the long-necked spider-thing not being cute* Yes…it’s not that good. Not even the fight scenes are good, I fear. Who should be blamed?

      Yes…a bit confusing, huh?

He always has the craziest points.

      Bingley? You like Bingley?

      • 54 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 23, 2014 at 20:06

*only said it to make you grumble* Blame the one who wrote of Godzilla in the first place, then the guy who has everyone’s attention in Hollywood. He’s obviously not cool nor smart, I think.

        Well…science isn’t my thing…

He does and I like that about him.

I’ve told you that before…your memory is fading again. *doesn’t act surprised*

      • 55 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 20:07

Should I bomb his house, Audith?

        I love science, you know.

Yes…I’ve lost it completely. I’m like Doctor Who.

      • 56 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 23, 2014 at 20:16

Yes, Duketh. Do it! And can I watch from your secret hiding place?

You could probably teach me science.

        Doctor Who is interesting!

      • 57 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 20:34

You can be in the bomber, if you’d like.

That’d be fun! Chemistry or physics.

        I’ve never seen it. *laughing*

      • 58 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 23, 2014 at 20:49

No. You bomb it. I want to hold my ears.

        I was better at Chemistry.

        Or read the book?

      • 59 Professor VJ Duke September 28, 2014 at 19:22

Oh, you probably won’t hear anything much.

        Chemistry was cool…moles…

        There’s a book?

      • 60 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 29, 2014 at 04:11

        Oh. I didn’t realize.

        Moles?

Yes, it was a book first.

      • 61 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 14:45

Yes a mole. It exists in Chemistry. I think. I think. I really do think.

        Was it? A wonder.

      • 62 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 29, 2014 at 19:27

I wouldn’t remember anything about a mole. I barely survived my first class in college. Giggle….I’m on to you.

No, but should have been. *laughs*

      • 63 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 23:21

        But it’s true!

        *growls and holds his ears*

      • 64 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 30, 2014 at 02:44

I can’t argue something I know nothing about, but aren’t moles more of a biology rodent.

        *whistles the tune of Dixie*

      • 65 Professor VJ Duke September 30, 2014 at 12:12

A mole is a unit of measurement used in Chemistry.

        *starts playing a banjo*

      • 66 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 30, 2014 at 14:22

        See how smart I am?

        *stops and listens*

      • 67 Professor VJ Duke September 30, 2014 at 19:47

        Well, I just remembered!

*stops too* I hear a cheetah.

      • 68 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister September 30, 2014 at 20:51

See, you don’t even realize…I’m a science dummy.

*grabs her scarf and slowly walks towards the cat*

      • 69 Professor VJ Duke October 1, 2014 at 11:55

        You are not!

        It’ll rip your lungs out!

      • 70 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister October 1, 2014 at 13:43

        Am too.

        *brings a furry mouse along*

      • 71 Professor VJ Duke October 1, 2014 at 16:10

        *laughs*

      • 72 Audrey Dawn - Oldest Daughter Redheaded Sister October 1, 2014 at 19:39

Sits on the rug and watches them play.

  6. 73 The Lite Rider September 22, 2014 at 21:13

So enjoyed your rip, and had to laugh — out loud! We just saw this movie, and I do have a soft spot for Gojira. I liked how he was the good guy, but I sure did get ALL the points made in the rip, and loved them. :)

    • 74 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:06

*laughs* Wait! Is that how that guy said Godzilla? Does Gojiar mean Godzilla?

      • 75 The Lite Rider September 23, 2014 at 20:39

It’s either “Gojiru” or “Gojira” which is supposed to mean “Godzilla”!

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke September 28, 2014 at 19:20

Aha! I thought he was mispronouncing Godzilla. *blushes*

  7. 77 floridaborne September 22, 2014 at 20:10

I like your reviews better than others. Makes me laugh…and not want to see the dadblamed movie. :-)

    • 78 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:03

*bows* Many thanks! Don’t you find the MUTO’s just a bit interesting? Yeah. I didn’t either.

      • 79 floridaborne September 23, 2014 at 14:08

I liked Godzilla when I was 10 and it was a man in a suit stomping on a miniature Tokyo. The first Jurassic park was excellent and I believe we have the capacity to genetically engineer ourselves out of existence. That, in itself, is more frightening than Godzilla. :-)

      • 80 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:17

*laughs* I see. Jurassic Park was awesome, and scary. Don’t you like when Dennis gets eaten?

      • 81 floridaborne September 23, 2014 at 14:35

I liked when the kid uses her refection to fool the dino. :-)

      • 82 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 19:53

Yeah! That was cool. And in the third one…that Spino dino…he was rather awesome.

      • 83 floridaborne September 23, 2014 at 22:56

In the 1970’s professorish people thought that dino’s were slow, plodding creatures not much smarter than the surrounding vegetation. That’s why I’m generally underwhelmed with “scientific knowledge.” It seems to change from decade to decade. :-)

      • 84 Professor VJ Duke September 28, 2014 at 19:28

*laughing* We should complain about it. But I doubt that would fix anything.

      • 85 floridaborne September 28, 2014 at 21:45

It’s only worth noting that you can’t put a lot of stock in the “knowledge” of the day. :-)

      • 86 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 14:44

*nods* Very wise of you, too. I need to remember this!

  8. 87 Simply Skeptical September 22, 2014 at 19:12

Really? Those things seemed to be kissing??? What’s the world coming to for romance? Yes, tis sad the Darcy & Ellizabeth’s era has been replaced boo, hoo, hoo. :-(

And where was this chubby napping beast that saved the day quite diasterously so? Right, for sure mankind’s hero. (Laughing hard!)

Great creativity PL team as usual! ENCORE!!!

    • 88 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 20:02

Well, I think this is Darby and Lizio…five million years in the future, don’t you?

Haha. Yeah, it was a bit of a dadblamery.

      *bows* Many thanks.

  9. 89 weggieboy September 22, 2014 at 17:18

Then there’s The Amazing Spider-Man2 Spidey in this joke. How confusing!

    • 90 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 19:59

It boggled my mind when I saw it!

  10. 91 icedmocha34 September 22, 2014 at 17:13

Ew. I hate Godzilla movies….and I haven’t even seen any of them! :D And the Planet of the Apes. I hate those too. Pretty much any movies that are mainly about animals.

    • 92 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 19:58

*fist pump* Righto on. I couldn’t stand to watch Planet of the Apes. But I might have to. I mean, it’s fun to rip the bad ones, you know. Godzilla wasn’t cool at all, was he?

      • 93 icedmocha34 September 22, 2014 at 20:05

*shrugs* I don’t know, I haven’t seen any of them. They just look stupid. I like funny movies better…like “Guardians of the Galaxies” That was the best!!!!!

      • 94 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:03

Oh yeah! Vin was in that. I think I should probably see it. You know, Godzilla is no match for Vin Diesel.

      • 95 icedmocha34 September 23, 2014 at 15:41

I like Vin Diesel’s voice, but him not so much. *shrugs* I don’t really respect any of the people who play in the Fast and Furious movies.

      • 96 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 19:55

        Ohh…why not?

      • 97 icedmocha34 September 23, 2014 at 20:00

Cos of all the girls in bikinis and stuff…
Pfft, I feel like Roderick from Diary of a Wimpy Kid. “I’m sorry, women.” :D

      • 98 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 20:05

*laughing* I’ve seen parts of the movie. Always the action stuff. So I’m not familiar with those scenes. But you’ve got a great point.

      • 99 icedmocha34 September 23, 2014 at 20:06

*bows* Thank you. When living with a chauvinistic pig of a dad, you learn things from your independent, hard-working, kick-butt mother.

      • 100 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 20:08

Kudos to you! Your mom is a great example, I say. Still, Vin’s muscles are cool!

      • 101 icedmocha34 September 23, 2014 at 20:11

She is!! My momma’s the best!!!!!! <3
Pfft, you just have a thing for muscles, eh?

      • 102 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 20:32

Nice! *laughs* I do! I’m into fitness, I think. Lifting weights and dadblame pushups. (I hate pushups worse than anything!)

  11. 103 FictionFan September 22, 2014 at 16:40

    *laughing and laughing*

    Now to rip the ripio…

Firstly, Mr Professor, quite clearly Godzilla cannot be a hero – since at no point does he wear a skirt! Nor indeed, sandals.

Secondly, your Professorish 101 diagram of Godzilla looked more like Dino from the Flintstones!

Thirdly! How DARE you!?! Those hideous beasts are nothing like my Darby and Lizio. And, more importantly, Darby and Lizio did not ‘get together to mate’!!!!!!!

The real drawback with doing these ripios is that the poor team has to watch so many really bad movies…

    • 104 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 19:57

*shocked face* But I can take the ripping!

Maybe he’s the new type of hero? I mean, maybe he foreshadows what is to be worn in the future…?

*laughing* I know…definitely the Punchy Godzilla. Now…were you pulling for Godzilla in this, do you think?

Well, the Darby one was square–just like Darby! Oh, I bet they did! In fact, I’m sure of it. I do wonder if they had any offspring. That’s a scary thought!

*laughs* I know, right? The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was the worst so far.

      • 105 FictionFan September 23, 2014 at 16:54

Oh my! Goodness gracious me! Oodles of noodles!! Well, I hope the heroes only have to be heroic in warm weather then…

Yes, I think I was on Godzilla’s side – though it might have been quite sweet watching the other ones fall in love.

Darby is NOT SQUARE!!! I suspect they had loads of kidlets – in fact, it is possible the Professor is a direct descendant of Darby. That would explain the wig…

I thought Godzilla looked like it might be quite fun actually…

      • 106 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 20:00

Well, they get fat and green. They’re insulated, see!

        Sweet?! You’re joking!

He’s a triangle then. Yes, you’ve got me. I’m Darby’s great-great-great-great grandson. And he only left me his wig–and sandals, I fear.

You know, you might just like it.

        PS Lift! Not an elevator…

      • 108 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 20:00

        *laughing lots* Quite right!

  12. 109 InfiniteZip September 22, 2014 at 15:53

    Don’t like lizards……or snakes…or no lizards in movies…..yuck.

    • 110 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 19:55

      Not even sweet lizards, Zippy?

      • 111 InfiniteZip September 23, 2014 at 01:25

Nope, no such thing…they have an agenda you know….

      • 112 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:13

        I didn’t! What is it?

      • 113 InfiniteZip September 23, 2014 at 15:22

        They never tell you know.

      • 114 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 19:55

Well, we must find out–at once!

  13. 115 Julie Harris September 22, 2014 at 15:44

A Godzilla movie with no Godzilla? That’s just craziness… thank you for saving me from watching this one! Awesome job, as always!!

    • 116 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 19:55

Many thanks! *bows and his hat falls off* Yes. I do wonder where Godzilla was. Maybe at a party?

  14. 117 Painting Pundit September 22, 2014 at 15:24

Thanks for saving me from this bit of dadblamery!!! But the review is a thousand times better than the movie. So best to just watch the Punchy Review and forget the movie!!

    • 118 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 19:55

Hi, PaintingP! *bows* Many thanks. Do you even think Godzilla looked cool?

      • 119 Painting Pundit September 22, 2014 at 19:59

Who can say? He was never clearly visible. I think he likes hiding.

      • 120 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 20:03

Afraid of light or shy, do you suppose?

      • 121 Painting Pundit September 22, 2014 at 20:10

        Shy, definitely shy.

      • 122 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:03

        *nods* And it’s a shame.

  15. 123 Susan P September 22, 2014 at 14:42

Pouty face. Only two? Excuse me while I find a place to weep.

Yeah, there is a reason why I have not watched this one. BTW, those were some fun asides along the way. Someone other than Godzilla was disturbed – or disturbing.

    • 124 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 19:53

Now, now. It can’t be that bad…can it? I bet George doesn’t think so!

*laughs* Exactly! Do you suppose it was the screenwriters?

      • 125 Susan P September 22, 2014 at 20:39

Someone was up to dadblamery and that is for certain. Screenwriters are prime suspects.

      • 126 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:05

*nods* Definitely not the professor. How about Godzilla himself?

      • 127 Susan P September 23, 2014 at 17:37

A lizard is a lizard is a lizard.

      • 128 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 20:03

Except professorish lizard. I’m a lizard you know.

      • 129 Susan P September 23, 2014 at 22:14

        Really?

      • 130 Professor VJ Duke September 28, 2014 at 19:27

        *nods bitterly*

      • 131 Susan P September 29, 2014 at 07:40

        Kind of like a chameleon?

      • 132 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 14:48

Yes, you know. I can change colors.

      • 133 Susan P September 29, 2014 at 15:15

Hey! Was that you on my window sill at the kitchen?

      • 134 Professor VJ Duke September 29, 2014 at 23:14

Yes! And I was Bethy’s color.

      • 135 Susan P September 30, 2014 at 15:25

Well done, sir. I bet there are people who would pay money to learn that trick.

      • 136 Professor VJ Duke September 30, 2014 at 19:51

        *smiles proudly*

      • 137 Susan P September 30, 2014 at 21:09

You can practice in my cellar/forge.

      • 138 Professor VJ Duke October 1, 2014 at 11:59

        *smiles bigly*

  16. 139 PorterGirl September 22, 2014 at 14:08

Well! This movie doesn’t seem to make any sense at all. A Godzilla movie with no Godzilla? And he was hiding away so he could eat… radiation? Then those things mated at the end? What?! I certianly won’t be watching this. But I loved the ripio! I hope that Hollywood churns out more terrible movies just so you guys can rip them! Bravo, Professor and team!

    • 140 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 19:51

It doesn’t, Lucy! Well, in a Godzilla sort of way it does. Yes! Imagine…does anything eat radiation that you know of? A question for The Dean, I think. Yes, they did! There was lots of little egg sacs everywhere…they looked like squares to me.

*laughs* Many thanks, Lucy! I wouldn’t have watched this, but to rip it!

      • 141 PorterGirl September 23, 2014 at 07:14

I will ask The Dean but I don’t think there is anything that eats radiation. How does one even eat it, anyway? In a sandwich? On toast? In some sort of soup? It’s dadblamery, is what it is.

I am very glad that you watch these movies so we don’t have to! You are providing a public service, I tell you.

      • 142 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 14:16

Yes! Probably in soup. I mean, that’s how I’d like to have it served, I think.

Now I feel spicy. The professor is a public service guy!

      • 143 PorterGirl September 23, 2014 at 15:15

Soup is probably the only way to serve it. That way it won’t leak about the place.

        *laughs* you sure are, Professor!

      • 144 Professor VJ Duke September 23, 2014 at 19:53

Yes…but still, you’d be ingesting it…it’s dadblamery like you said.

        *laughing*

  17. 145 L. Marie September 22, 2014 at 14:04

This review made me laugh out loud!
Was that Ken Watanabe??? I’ve loved his movies. The things you have to do to get a paycheck these days.
I grew up watching Godzilla movies. I skipped this at the theater, but I might Netflix it.

    • 146 Professor VJ Duke September 22, 2014 at 19:50

*smiles bigly* That was him, for sure! I think it would have been fine–the movie, that is–if the scriptwriters were a bit more ingenious with all aspects!

So did I. My favorite beast was that golden one with three heads.
