Rats and a heifer.
Sometimes, that’s the best thing one can say.
So, here the professor was, sitting in a lecture hall with a bunch of other bored lads and ladies.
We were all so bored we couldn’t believe it.
Now, we were bored because Mr. Ratherquite was lecturing about the lives of guinea pigs.
“You must understand,” he said, “guinea pigs aren’t like regular pigs at all. Yes, that’s true. They’re not rude and crude; they don’t roll in the mud. They’re also not pink. And…on top of that, they’ve got fur. And…they’re much smaller!”
Wow, I thought. Such revelations, I can’t believe it.
Now, this other fellow, next to me, was doing something on his phone.
He was smiling.
“What’s up?” I asked.
He nodded. “You bored too? Look what I found on the web.”
And he showed me this:
I must say, it was quite more enjoyable than the lecture.
Now, we were so involved in the video that we hadn’t noticed Mr. Ratherquite standing over us until the video had ended.
“Goodness me,” I said. “Quick, there’s something behind you.”
He didn’t fall for it.
“You two,” he said, “are penalized.”
Big thanks to Susan Price for the story idea here! Sorry it took me so long to put it together; that’s what the professorish brain does for you.
