Professor Oppression

professor speaks

So, professors get oppressed, too, you know. I think I’ve had to answer about a million messages with regards to gray beards and such. It’s probably a lie, I tell you. Then again, this might not be me. But one of my minions.

Happy national wine day, too.

Who knew. You are better looking than I had imagined. Haha.

    • 2 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2016 at 17:07

Am not! Don’t I look like an orc?

      • 3 TheCrazyBagLady June 9, 2016 at 17:31

Embrace the compliment because it will not last forever and one day you may turn into an orc ;p

      • 4 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2016 at 13:28

But I’m an orc now! You should see me climb. *nods*

      • 5 TheCrazyBagLady June 10, 2016 at 14:25

        I’m nodding too

      • 6 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2016 at 14:43

I’ll nod a bit more then.

  2. 7 kedslover June 7, 2016 at 20:08

You are officially one of the coolest people ever, professor of one’s beliefs.

    • 8 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2016 at 13:23

Me? Oh gee…thanks… One of the most dastardly to? Professor of one’s beliefs…I like that. I shall put it on my lunch box, you know.

      • 9 kedslover June 10, 2016 at 22:18

Oh please do! Lunchboxes are handy for everything.

      • 10 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2016 at 14:51

Aren’t they? I’ll have to get one, tho, you know.

      • 11 kedslover July 11, 2016 at 19:59

Oh please do! Something extravagant, I would think.

  3. 12 Esme upon the Cloud May 27, 2016 at 12:33

Did you say ‘heart-less and filthy’ at the end? Because it sounds like you did. Heartless and filthy. Hahahahahaha. If you didn’t, then your subconscious slipped filthy in anyway. *nods knowingly*

I think Haylee might be onto something with her ‘LA valley girl’ accent-wise. *falls about*

    – esme pegging it after catching sight of the Professor in his suspenders and stockings upon the Cloud

    • 13 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:58

I probably did. After all, I am that, you know. Every cloud believes it too.

I’ve got an LA valley girl accent? Do not!!

      • 14 Esme upon the Cloud June 6, 2016 at 17:58

The Cloud is nodding and says the ginormous white tie is dapper, and a giveaway.

        – esme translating Cloud-speak upon the Cloud.

      • 15 Professor VJ Duke June 7, 2016 at 13:18

A giveaway? Oh no. You can’t have it.

      • 16 Esme upon the Cloud June 7, 2016 at 16:21

*Opens her knapsack and shows him that she nicked it ten minutes ago*

        – esme the pickpocket upon the Cloud

      • 17 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2016 at 13:22

        *mouth drops* Wow. You’re quick.

      • 18 Esme upon the Cloud June 8, 2016 at 20:16

*steals his teeth while his mouth is open* – you better believe it Prof.

        – esme leaving a velvet glove with ten letter ‘E’ on his tongue as she leaves and goes fourth (or fifth) upon the Cloud

      • 19 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2016 at 17:12

        My teeth! Give them back!!

      • 20 Esme upon the Cloud June 9, 2016 at 18:22

        *hands his gnashers back reluctantly*

        – esme low on teeth for her teeth collection upon the Cloud

      • 21 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2016 at 13:35

        *tackles Esme*

      • 22 Esme upon the Cloud June 10, 2016 at 16:14

A brave man…*esme, being a master (mistress every other blue moon) of Kalari Payat, throws him into the air, hits every vital point on his body with just one toe, (her big toe, right foot), and then catches him in her left hand and sets him down again, as she is as merciful as she is wise*

        – esme flying through the air making strange noises upon the Cloud

      • 23 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2016 at 14:45

Hm. Next time I shall have my katana!

  4. 24 Simply Skeptical May 27, 2016 at 10:34

Yes, this fellow looks a bit like an informant. Sly creature indeed!

    • 25 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:56

I think we should get his head off his shoulders. What say you?

  5. 26 Freakishly Fangirlish May 26, 2016 at 20:56

I have a lot of minions also, but they are mostly cats.

    • 27 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:50

      Can I borrow two, please?

      • 28 Freakishly Fangirlish June 6, 2016 at 19:43

I can’t really spare any at the moment. Operation Takeover is taking longer than expected.

      • 29 Professor VJ Duke June 7, 2016 at 13:19

Oh what?! You didn’t tell me about this! I wanna join, the sudden.

      • 30 Freakishly Fangirlish June 8, 2016 at 00:46

I’m afraid admissions are closed… *clicks tongue* shame.

      • 31 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2016 at 13:25

Can’t you pull some strings for me?

      • 32 Freakishly Fangirlish June 8, 2016 at 15:34

Mmm. Well, it depends which branch you want to work in. We might have some room in admin. But field ops? Definitely full.

      • 33 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2016 at 17:05

Dang it. Okay, I’ll take admin for now. (I might even sneak into the field.)

      • 34 Freakishly Fangirlish June 9, 2016 at 19:44

Good luck with that. My minions are all cats, and they’re good at catching sneaksters

      • 35 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2016 at 13:39

Are you calling me a sneakster? Dadblaemit.

  6. 36 walt walker May 26, 2016 at 03:26

Good thump to the chest bone there at the end. I remember you saying you were old, but no recollection of the fat part. Good call on the beard, that had to go.

    • 37 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:27

I know. But I did it a bit too well. Here’s the thing: don’t do it too well or you might be a bit sore. The beard def had to go. Especially since it was getting itchy.

  7. 38 John W. Howell May 25, 2016 at 21:56

Very clever, professor. I’m not convinced that was you. Happy wine day.

    • 39 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:25

Yeah, same here. I actually think I’ve got a gray beard.

      • 40 John W. Howell May 26, 2016 at 14:37

That’s the way I see it. Top hat and cane as well.

      • 41 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:38

        And a boot knife.

      • 42 John W. Howell June 6, 2016 at 21:01

        How about a cane knife?

      • 43 Professor VJ Duke June 7, 2016 at 13:21

Oh yes. I need one of those.

      • 44 John W. Howell June 7, 2016 at 14:44

Think of the surprised look when you pull it out of the cane.

      • 45 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2016 at 13:18

There may even be a few screams.

      • 46 John W. Howell June 8, 2016 at 16:37

        And pounding feet of panic.

      • 47 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2016 at 17:09

Just like in the Conjuring 2 tonight.

      • 48 John W. Howell June 9, 2016 at 17:53

Didn’t see it, but can imagine.

      • 49 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2016 at 13:31

I didn’t either. Just the advertisements.

      • 50 John W. Howell June 11, 2016 at 01:00

Yeah there are a lot of them . Even iHeart Radio has them.

      • 51 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2016 at 14:54

        Really? Wow.

      • 52 John W. Howell June 13, 2016 at 00:53

        Yes.

      • 53 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2016 at 12:42

Are you going to see it?

      • 54 John W. Howell June 13, 2016 at 17:04

        No

  8. 55 Haylee May 25, 2016 at 19:32

Hahahaha… This. Is. Brilliant! Love it.
I may occasionally tease you about stereotypical professorial attire / appearance / behaviour but I know you don’t really look like that.
What I didn’t know was how you sounded (without a guitar) and it’s NOTHING like I imagined. But then another blogging friend did a podcast and he sounded nothing like the voice I attach to comments. Perhaps I’m just rubbish at hearing in American!
T’is all good though and the T-shirt/tie combo in on point. No suspenders though? ;)

    • 56 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:25

You’re laughing at me! But thank you many times, madam. *bows*

Well, yes, I suppose you did from the guitar vids and whatnot, which is cheating if you think about it. Don’t you think so? I think so. Maybe just a little bit. But then again, nothing wrong with a little cheating.

Seriously? Nothing like at all? What’d you imagine? See, here’s the thing, I’m just so accent-less, and no one expects that of me. I’m like the only american who doesn’t have an accent. *looks suspiciously to see if Haylee is buying it*

*laughs* I do have suspenders! But I just…well…they were too hard to put on. And I was so lazy.

      • 57 Haylee May 26, 2016 at 17:38

Haha, nope I’m not buying it in the slightest – you most definitely have an accent. But if asked, I’d not be able to place you in a particular part of America. But then I can only identify LA valley girl, Southern drawl or New York accents. Maybe.
And I wasn’t laughing AT you… It just made me laugh – I think it was the look at the microphone as if it had come alive! But you have permission to laugh at me AND my accent when I do my vlog :)
I’m still not sure what I expected you to sound like but I’ll tell you what, it’s been a revelation to your vocabulary. You see I say (when I read your posts) DadBLAMit. You say blame. Like ‘blame dad’, which was revelation in itself. But then it took an 8yr old to tell me what aka stood for, so there’s little hope.
Goodness, I do blab on in comments don’t I?!

      • 58 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:45

Oh dadblameit. And here I was wishing I was accent-less, haha. Oh well. Well…NY is close, but I don’t have that accent at all. I’m North east US, see.

I think the mic actually hated me. It gave me a look, see. I might laugh…but not at you! I’m sure I shall enjoy it lots. *waits impatiently*

*laughing lots* Wait. That’s so cool! You say blam…that even sounds better. I think we should say it both ways, the sudden. Imagine that? See, you’ve just invented a cool word. But I’m going to thieve it.

      • 59 Haylee June 6, 2016 at 15:21

Thieve away! I think my way sounds a little harsh though, so maybe best to only use it when things are really bad.
Accents are cool, you should hold on to whichever one you have. I once convinced someone I was from a completely different area of the U.K. by changing mine, but it got a bit tiring to maintain after a while – I’d never make an actor!

      • 60 Professor VJ Duke June 7, 2016 at 13:14

*laughing* No, you would! See, actors only have to do it for little bits. And you were convincing! That’s half the battle. I’ve always thought that if I ever visit the UK…I’ll put on my best English accent and try to blend in. I bet I’d be awful, you know.

      • 61 Haylee June 7, 2016 at 20:31

I would pay money to watch this scenario unfold…

      • 62 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2016 at 13:24

You’d have to teach me all up first. So I knew what was what.

  9. 63 desertdweller29 May 25, 2016 at 19:19

Hah! You’re adorable. I mean, heartless and vicious. But adorable nonetheless. Are fat, short ties in, btw?

    • 64 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:23

*sputters than doesn’t* Oh… Okay. I mean, I see the heartless and vicious in there, so I’m cool, the sudden. Cool like Tom Brady about to throw a touchdown! *laughs* You know, I don’t think so…everywhere I look I see the long ones, so I decided to make it pudgy. Aren’t pudgy ties something? Now, they’re not adorable, mind.

  10. 65 Jackie May 25, 2016 at 18:37

    That video is punchalicious!

    • 66 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:21

Why thank you, Jackie! It’s a wonderful thing. That word, is.

      • 67 Jackie May 26, 2016 at 16:20

It makes me very happy that you like that word so much.

      • 68 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:41

I do! It…it’s better than cherries!

      • 69 Jackie June 6, 2016 at 22:05

Wow! I’m humbled. I’m pleased that you are the keeper of that word. No one else can care for it like you can Professor. Thank you for that.

      • 70 Professor VJ Duke June 7, 2016 at 13:21

I keep it in my bag of words. (Actually, it’s on my list of great punchy words!)

  11. 71 FictionFan May 25, 2016 at 17:21

Don’t believe that’s you – you’ve hired an actor to play you to disguise the fact that you’re old, fat and beardy! *nods*

A beard would, though, cover up the tie… #GoodThing

    Plus… #CoolAccent

    • 72 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:19

He cost a lot of money, too. Dadblame actors. Everything has to be just perfect for them. *shakes head*

Hey! Don’t you pick on my tie! That’s like…one of the greatest things I’ve ever done to myself.

      *drop face* It’s…it’s…it’s…I’m accent-less remember!

  12. 73 Lady Dunamis May 25, 2016 at 16:00

Happy wine day. Ah yeah about dat drank! Lol! I confess, I thought you would be shorter, of course it is difficult to see your height. And I never thought you were fat, especially since you mentioned in one of your posts many moons ago you work out.

Ya know, on another subject, I think those shorts I “purchased” for you on Twitter last Christmas would look good in you. See, I have an eye for those types of things and such.

    • 74 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:18

Shorter? Well…now. You probably thought I had a long gray beard, didn’t you? *professorish eye* Good memory! You’re right. In fact, at this very minute I’m so sore from boxing yesterday. I actually got lit up, too. *dies*

*laughing lots* Not those dadblame shorts, but…give them here. I shall wear them. How’s that?

      • 75 Lady Dunamis May 26, 2016 at 14:22

Nah, I kinda took you for a clean shaven dude.

Those shorts will only look good on you during Christmas.

      • 76 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:30

Bah. You were right. That’s disconcerting. Okay, then. You were def spying on me.

I’ll wear them for two days only, but no pics.

  13. 77 Bethy May 25, 2016 at 15:49

AH! Thank you for having speaks! And for letting me know it was national wine day. That will come in handy later.

    • 78 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:16

Bethy!!! How’ve you been? Good to see you about. Same here. Wine day. But I ended up not having any. I don’t drink much, I suppose. That’s ’cause there’s not cherry wine, see.

  14. 79 Debbie May 25, 2016 at 15:37

Woo Hoo, a video by the Professor. Actually, a video OF the Professor. Not playing guitar, sad to say, but having speaks. I sympathize with you, Professor. You are definitely NOT grey-bearded or fat (though I can’t recall ANY of my college professors being grey-bearded and fat!). Anyways and some, well done, sir — the tie adds a bit of sophistication, and ’tis lovely seeing you in your professorish office!!

    • 80 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:15

Yes, it just might be me, after all. We can’t be sure, tho. Dadblameit. None of your college professors? What a thing. Then again, I really don’t write like a professor, do I?

*laughs* love your use of ‘anyways and some’! Well done. My office is a mess, I fear. But it will get better. So, you like the tie? Capital.

  15. 81 Susan P May 25, 2016 at 14:54

Hear, hear. I knew he had something up his sleeve. What next, ?

    • 82 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:13

But now I’m sleepless. And tired. Do I get a nap now?

      • 83 Susan P May 26, 2016 at 14:19

        No rest for the wicked.

      • 84 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:28

But I thought I was sweet?

      • 85 Susan P May 31, 2016 at 13:57

But you are. But also sneaky.

      • 86 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:59

        How sneakY?

      • 87 Susan P June 6, 2016 at 16:27

Well, if you don’t know, how can I?

      • 88 Professor VJ Duke June 7, 2016 at 13:16

        Susan knows everything!

      • 89 Susan P June 7, 2016 at 14:10

        Are you mocking me?

      • 90 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2016 at 13:13

Oh no. I’ll get you a turtle, if that’s the case.

      • 91 Susan P June 8, 2016 at 13:34

        Mock turtle?

      • 92 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2016 at 16:57

Gene…gene…I can’t think of his last name!

      • 93 Susan P June 9, 2016 at 18:20

        What does it sound like?

      • 94 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2016 at 13:35

        Umm…I can’t think…Wilder!

      • 95 Susan P June 10, 2016 at 13:36

I have that problem all of the time.

      • 96 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2016 at 13:46

We should drop a bomb on problems

      • 97 Susan P June 10, 2016 at 17:50

What a marvelous idea~~how do you figure to do it?

      • 98 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2016 at 14:49

        Well, you’ll help, right?

      • 99 Susan P June 14, 2016 at 12:50

Maybe. It depends if I get to go to the beach afterward.

  16. 100 Louis from VA May 25, 2016 at 14:53

It’s the professor! I’m speechless… (Personally, I never imagined you with a long gray beard. XD )

    • 101 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:12

It’s me! In all my…glory. Pah. Really? Never ever ever? I’m proud of you, son.

      • 102 Louis from VA May 26, 2016 at 18:38

And in your glorious studio. *nods* Never, I swear it! Though I did imagine you with a pretty wild hairdo…

      • 103 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:47

*looks about* It is kinda cool, thank you! *laughs* I do…I just tamed it, see.

  17. 104 Heartafire May 25, 2016 at 14:47

ahhh, a minion…Still laughing over the tissues, you are prone to tears are you? That’s ok, I keep a box of kleenex with me at all times, it is fashionable. I too love the tie.

    • 105 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:12

A very wicked minion. Now, this is a thing. Really? The tissues? They can’t be that attractive, really. They were just…hanging out, you know. One never knows when one will have to attack a beetle, and tissues are so handy.

      • 106 Heartafire May 26, 2016 at 14:17

He doesn’t look very wicked. Looks can be deceiving. Tissues do come in handy if one cries a lot or needs to attack a beetle, that would definitely make one cry.

      • 107 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:28

But not me, of course. I don’t cry when attacking a beetle. I don’t think. He doesn’t? Rats.

      • 108 Heartafire May 26, 2016 at 14:44

I once had a huge beetle hanging from my shirt, he was horrible, I screamed and ran like a little girl cause I was a little girl. I found him later in my window sill, I think he took a liking to me.

      • 109 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:39

Maybe he was trying to ask you out. Did you buy him icecream?

      • 110 Heartafire June 6, 2016 at 15:26

he was tugging like he was trying to get my attention and it seemed to work. No ice cream but lots of running and screaming.

      • 111 Professor VJ Duke June 7, 2016 at 13:14

Maybe he was a protein snack?

      • 112 Heartafire June 7, 2016 at 14:40

I am into carbs and sugar.

      • 113 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2016 at 13:18

Me too. Must exercise now. Let’s go.

      • 114 Heartafire June 8, 2016 at 14:05

Grad your leg warmers (how cute is that)

      • 115 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2016 at 17:03

*laughs* But I’ve got none, see. I think you thieved them.

      • 116 Heartafire June 9, 2016 at 17:05

No leg warmers? I will send you some. Cherry red. cozy!

      • 117 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2016 at 17:16

But do guys use such things? *worries*

Not really but that’s the fun part.

      • 119 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2016 at 13:28

        Humph noodles.

  18. 120 PorterGirl May 25, 2016 at 14:36

Aha this is great! I didn’t know it was national wine day. I knew it was #TowelDay but wine and towels can go together. So, question – what’s with the giant box of tissues to your left? They look a bit suspect. The tie looks lovely, by the way.

    • 121 Bethy May 25, 2016 at 15:49

So what are you doing with wine and towels PorterGirl?

      • 122 PorterGirl May 25, 2016 at 16:00

Well, I had only anticipated the towels, of course. I suppose now I can incorporate the wine by drinking it whilst carrying my towel? Or maybe wear the towel, drink the wine – that works.

      • 123 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:18

Towels are too small to wear, tho…

      • 124 PorterGirl May 27, 2016 at 06:38

I am only small. I can wear a towel quite happily. Even a hand towel – although if caught in a gust of wind it could be dangerous. Anyway – we naked mole rats have no need of towel on account of the fact that we are naked and proud.

      • 125 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:55

Right, if you are a naked mole rat, you wouldn’t care a huff for a towel. See, this proves you are not one.

      • 126 PorterGirl June 6, 2016 at 14:58

Hmm! But I do not care a huff for a towel, I say. We naked mole rats are proud of our nakedness – although sometimes it gets chilly when the north wind blows.

      • 127 Professor VJ Duke June 7, 2016 at 13:10

That’s why you go in the dirt, I suppose. Dirt must be warm, see.

      • 128 PorterGirl June 7, 2016 at 13:28

Yes, nice and warm. And better than a towel as a towel is nearly clothes and my kind shun clothes. Hence the name, see.

      • 129 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2016 at 13:09

I think we should get your kind a few hats, tho

      • 130 PorterGirl June 8, 2016 at 13:28

The more the matter. My kind loves a good hat. I think I shall have a red one. Or… a Pats hat!

      • 131 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2016 at 16:55

A Pats hat! Yes, that’s the one, I say!

      • 132 PorterGirl June 10, 2016 at 05:58

        Perfect!

      • 133 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2016 at 13:42

        I say so!

      • 134 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:16

I’d wondered the same thing. *nods*

    • 135 Professor VJ Duke May 26, 2016 at 14:09

Towel day? I didn’t know that. What a thing. They must’ve scheduled it all together. Imagine that. But you must have white wine, I think. They’re so suspect. They’re supposed to be in the corner, rats. But what can I say: my office is a gigantic mess right now. *looks about* That tie makes me dressy, see.

      • 136 PorterGirl May 27, 2016 at 06:37

I think you are right – they decided to combine special days to have greater effect. White wine, you say? I suppose if I were eating fish that would go nicely. I might risk the homemade wine, though – it’s fruity!
The office is looking super – but not quite as super as the tie which is most dashing!

      • 137 Professor VJ Duke June 6, 2016 at 14:54

I like white wine…it tends to be sweeter…doesn’t it? Then again, I don’t drink much. Fruity wine sounds awesome! “Give some here, Top.” (That’s a movie quote, sorry.)

Do you think so? Gee, thanks.

      • 138 PorterGirl June 6, 2016 at 14:57

I prefer white wine in summer and red wine in winter. Too much wine is a very bad thing, so you are wise. The fruity wine is nice because it tastes of my garden! Or so I believe. I don’t actually put my garden in my actual mouth, of course.
I do! You know this, of course.

      • 139 Professor VJ Duke June 7, 2016 at 13:09

The neurons don’t like lots of wine, the little buggers. Your garden? I say, do you put garden dirt in the wine? *suspicious professor eye*

        Um no I don’t!

      • 140 PorterGirl June 7, 2016 at 13:28

It is important to look after the neurons, for it is they that devise the fiendish plans.
I say, sir, my wine has no dirt in it at all! One bottle exploded, though. Luckily it happened at my friend Janet’s house rather than my own – ha! Some bugs might be in it, if they were living in the fruit at the time. But they add body and protein.
Um – well you do now!

      • 141 Professor VJ Duke June 8, 2016 at 13:09

I allays think of it as the dying neurons. You know, the ones most unhappy with life that come up with all the dastardly plans.

It exploded?! Goodness. How’d that happen? #tnt

      • 142 PorterGirl June 8, 2016 at 13:28

Now, that is a very scientific thought. It is no wonder that you are a professor and I am just a naked mole rat.
I’m not sure, but I am told it is something to do with over-active yeast. I’m just glad we didn’t drink it!

      • 143 Professor VJ Duke June 9, 2016 at 16:55

Now, now. You’re a Deputy Head Porter, too, you know.

      • 144 PorterGirl June 10, 2016 at 05:58

Oh indeed. I managed to forget about that *laughs * I need to go back to Old College!

      • 145 Professor VJ Duke June 10, 2016 at 13:42

        I’m coming too, of course.

      • 146 PorterGirl June 11, 2016 at 12:33

Oh, absolutely! It wouldn’t be the same without you, dear chap.

      • 147 Professor VJ Duke June 12, 2016 at 14:55

        I cause lots of waves.

      • 148 PorterGirl June 13, 2016 at 06:16

And excitement. Also other great things.

      • 149 Professor VJ Duke June 13, 2016 at 12:45

        Like explosions.

      • 150 PorterGirl June 13, 2016 at 12:55

And food at odd times. All of my favourite things, really.

      • 151 Professor VJ Duke June 14, 2016 at 13:04

        OOo, just like the song!

      • 152 PorterGirl June 14, 2016 at 13:35

        Yes! Just like it!

      • 153 Professor VJ Duke June 15, 2016 at 14:33

        I hate that song.

      • 154 PorterGirl June 15, 2016 at 15:08

        I only know the chorus.

      • 155 Professor VJ Duke June 16, 2016 at 14:16

I only know the first two chords: Em7 and F#m7

      • 156 PorterGirl June 17, 2016 at 05:14

        That’s 2 chords too many.

      • 157 Professor VJ Duke June 17, 2016 at 14:54

So, in this jazz band I play in…there’s a chord every beat! Sometimes two or three! It’s so crazy and I hate it. I usually just play whatever chord I think looks the most pretty

      • 158 PorterGirl June 17, 2016 at 15:25

Ah, the beauty of jazz! I think you do right. Bet it sounds super.

      • 159 Professor VJ Duke June 21, 2016 at 12:59

Can’t really hear a thing over the trumpets, blah

      • 160 PorterGirl June 21, 2016 at 13:27

        They are noisy buggers.

      • 161 Professor VJ Duke June 22, 2016 at 20:48

        So stinkin’ noisy!
